A truly uplifting experience during our 3-day stay at this facility. The front desk staff were exceptionally courteous, friendly and professional. Our rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfectly situated for walking around in old Montreal where we could indulge in exquisite Vietnamese food in restaurants right next door! There were a multitude of family events occurring at the time of our visit. Every moment was a treasured experience and delight for us. We would highly recommend this hotel to others

What a charming hotel. Right in the middle of the city square, it’s an old textile mill that was converted into this beautiful property retaining the old world character elegantly mixed with modern amenities.||The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the main streets, malls, restaurants and bars where all the action is. We were there for the race day weekend and the atmosphere around town was electric and the staff despite a full hotel unflustered. They went r about their business with a friendly smile and stellar efficiency. ||Our room was large two queen sized beds a fully operational kitchentte complete with dishwasher, toaster and cutlery should one be inclined to fix a little something. There is the one breakfast dining option though open from 0600-1000. Breakfast is standard fare cold cuts, boiled eggs, bagels, toast, cakes, fruits, yogurt, tea and coffee that sort of thing no hot made to order stuff here but it’s filling and the coffee is good. One can order room service though and it comes from a restaurant or kitchen nearby. There is no dining option at the hotel itself besides breakfast. ||The pool and pretty well equipped gym are on the terrace so fitness junkies can get their dose of adrenaline. The staff are courteous, helpful and friendly. All in all a remarkable hotel and highly recommended on your next visit to Montreal.

Google
I can’t recommend it more highly. Our room was large and spotless, it was very quiet on our floor, having the kitchen was very helpful, and the towels were fluffy and plentiful. It was well located for our purposes, with easy access to transit. The decor is a bit bland, but we weren’t shooting Insta posts in the room! 🤣 The pool is small, but appreciated on a very hot day. We thought we’d sit on the rooftop terrace more, but the heatwave quashed that. It, too, is small, but a very nice amenity. Staff was efficient and friendly. Overall, we thought it was a very good value, and if we returned to downtown, we’d stay again. (The breakfast was just fine, and we hadn’t planned to eat there often. Also, we parked offsite, so we can’t speak to the valet service.)

Google
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with high ceilings being a converted warehouse. We had a nice view of the square and it was quiet enough at night. The breakfast was sufficient for us, considering the mid-range price. Coin laundry next to the gym was convenient. Location was great - a short walk anywhere downtown and a bit further walk to Old Montreal. Close to 2 metro lines.

We enjoyed a 6 day stay! The front desk, housekeeping staff were courteous, friendly and professional. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was within 15 minutes walking distance to old Montreal. We walked everywhere-Old Port, indoor market, museums, Chinatown and the Basilica. We were so fortunate that the Jazz festival was taking place every night of our visit. We were close to shopping and the underground city. This hotel had it all- the location, the amenities and the friendly staff. Can’t go wrong! We would highly recommend this hotel to others and we would gladly stay here again. Thank you Le Square Philips Hotel & Suites! ❤️

Google
We stayed here with our dog and kids. The room was quite large and spacious. Only negative of that was the room was so hot at night we had difficulty falling asleep. Location was great for exploring Montreal and valet parking was efficient. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Pool was small but worked. Breakfast selection also small but it was free so no complaints. Recommend!

Google
Good location, near Metro stations and walking distance to the Old Port.||Only valet parking available.||Room was a good size with full kitchen and dining area. Comfortable king size bed. In-room safe.||Furniture a bit dated, but everywhere was clean.||Built in wardrobe was a bit strange as it had a large structural column through the middle of it.||Staff were helpful and friendly but we had pre-ordered some shopping to be in the room on arrival and it didn't materialise, so we ended up having to go to the grocery store when we arrived which was not ideal after a transatlantic flight.||Buffet breakfast is included but there are no hot items available. We felt the breakfast offering was poor.

Google
Our accommodation was a 2 queen loft suite which is a gigantic room. The entry hallway boasted 2 bathrooms, 1 with full bath. The space included a living room / kitchen area with table, microwave, full refrigerator, dishes, couch, 2 chairs, computer desk, TV, and dresser. Convenient outlets. The bed area separated by a half room divider sported a dresser, TV, suitcase rack, and shelf along window where one could put miscellaneous items. This was not an inexpensive room, but I have paid more for far less.||Carlos and other hotel personnel (Isabelle & ladies at the reception desk) were friendly, helpful and efficient. ||The hotel is located near stores and various levels of restaurants. Old Town area is a bit of a walk but do-able. One may explore many churches in the area. A gym and pool are on the roof level plus an outside area with pleasant city views.||Breakfast was the only negative. Despite a fairly large breakfast room, it was quite chaotic: Not well set up to move about and crammed. Selections of breads, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereal and hard boiled eggs but no hot foods. We felt compelled to take our food on trays to our room to avoid the commotion. I’d only take of ½ circle for this, but can’t give a 5 because of it.

Yelp
Overall, had a great stay here. Rooms were immensely expensive, but the comfort came with the price, as the ceilings were almost 15 ft high, and the rooms felt like apartments, even having two bathrooms. Pool and outdoor terrace were gorgeous as well. However, only negative was that the breakfast was severely lacking. But, as a complimentary breakfast it is not something to complain about. Overall, excellent stay and worth the price for the prime downtown location.

Yelp
There are so many positives about this place. The location is great for walking to various places. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Having a full kitchen was handy. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags until our room was ready and we use valet parking before our room was ready as well. Only thing I'd make note of, the breakfast was VERY busy when I tried to go down and options are just OK. Not a lot of options for those that cannot/do not eat gluten/wheat.

Yelp
we had an enjoyable stay. Great location in the heart of Montreal. Staff was very nice. Nothing negative to say.

Yelp
After 8 hours in the car we were so happy to check into this luxurious hotel and lie down in the big soft bed! We got a suite because we're 3 adults traveling together, and it's huge, 800 square feet maybe? I think $325 (Canadian dollars) a night is a reasonable price for how spacious, clean, and well supplied this suite is. It's like a studio apartment with 2 tvs, table, chairs, refrigerator, microwave, stove, chinaware, silverware, and coffee maker. We have free wifi here and it's working great. Staff is completely fluent in English and French. We paid $15 for valet parking. We walked about 800 feet to a nice Vietnamese restaurant for dinner last night. The room must be soundproof because I didn't hear any noise at all from the hallway. The room was also very dark during the night (in a good way). I 100% recommend this fabulous hotel!

Yelp
We stayed there for 2 nights on Christmas Eve and Christmas to visit family. The location of this hotel is excellent. Close to various bus stops and the metro. You're also at walking distance to various restaurants and stores including the Montreal Eaton mall. There's not much street parking available but they offer valet service at $35 per night.

Yelp
Great location with 2 metro stations only 2-3 blocks away. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. I liked having a kitchen in the room and laundry on the premises. A lot of restaurants and bars within walking distances. I would definitely stay here again.

Karla B.

Yelp
If we could give it more stars we would. Marla and I stayed here for four nights during the Bruce Springsteen concert in Montreal. The service was outstanding - especially from.Karla at the front desk. Our room was spacious and unbeatable. Love the amenities in the hotel, and definitely the location. Highly recommend and give that staff a raise!

Yelp
This is my second visit here. It's very economical, middle of the road type of hotel. The room is huge with a kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator. Other amenities: Indoor heated pool Wi-fi included Bar downstairs Fitness center is up to date Downtown location, close to St Catherine St, and close to many bars, restaurants and metro station.

Yelp
Great location. Does not have functioning wi-fi. Cannot be used, so forget about completing any work. Rooftop view is nice. Pool is nice. Location is great. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette very convenient. Room very clean. Would return.

Yelp
We were trying to decide between the more "updated/eye-catching/trendy" hotels and this one...the reviews were what convinced us to book here. Boy are we ever glad we did! First of all - the pictures don't do it justice. The high-vaulted ceilings of the suites made us feel very comfortable and was a great "home base" for our family to settle in after very full/busy days. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We've never slept well at hotels and we would actually wake up in the morning and would need a minute to remember we weren't in the comfort of our own home! We also slept through the night, which is something neither my husband or I are able to do in our own house. The room is incredibly clean. Never been in a hotel where you feel you can walk barefoot on the bathroom floor - it's spotless! Housekeeping services are incredible. Also did not hear a single peep from any other units during our stay. We were on the top floor but still surprised us as we are light sleepers. There is construction next door (right outside of our window actually) but didn't hear a single noise from that either, even when they were working. Beautiful patio overlooking a square where buskers perform in the evenings. Only (small) negative piece is the pool is quite small and narrow (seemed less than 9 feet wide) - which made it very challenging for families to swim. Many adults treated it as a lap pool which meant the kids were constantly trying to move around their swimming and they weren't able to jump in and splash around very easily (kids are 8 and 11 and we still found it challenging). No hot tub either - but that wasn't a dealbreaker for us. Front desk staff are polite - not much presence to the lobby but overall amazing stay and would 100% stay there again based on how comfortable it was for us and the room itself. Also - full kitchen was great! We didn't use everything, but full-sized fridge, stove, microwave and even a dishwasher! Also came with dishes and pots, etc.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience here over 3 nights in Montreal with our family of 5. Somehow our suite was upgraded to a "larger suite" for the same price, and our room was enormous. 10-12 foot ceilings, 1200 sqft or so, it was as big as a house inside. 2 separate sleeping areas, pull out couch and full, modern kitchen; very centrally located downtown near shops and restaurants - I could have stayed forever. Breakfast was on a lower floor each morning and was Euro-style, with nice breads, coffee, Montreal bagels (yum), meats and cheeses, etc. On the top floor, they had a nice, but small indoor pool and a sun deck with a spectacular view of the city. Weather was great and we found ourselves up there every afternoon. I don't know about parties of 2, but it's genuinely difficult to find good places that accommodate 5 at a reasonable rate - Le Square Phillips fit the bill perfectly and I would definitely stay here again, next time I'm in Montreal.

Jojo C.

Yelp
Visited Montreal for the first time with my whole family .. the staff at le square Phillips are nothing BUT exemplary! On their service.. they made our stay very memorable.. kudos to every single person that works in this hotel... can't wait to return for another vacation!!! merci beaucoup...

Yelp
One of our favorite places to stay when we are in Montreal. If you staying for a couple days, pick a suite instead of a studio - tons of space for a little more $ This hotel has been around for a while but has been beautifully renovated and maintained. There's a great covered pool on the rooftop and access to an outside sitting area. The hotel is conveniently located and walking distance to a great pizza place - II Focolaio and movie theatre - Cinema Banque Scotia. Valet service was kind and efficient which was appreciated given the constant construction going on in the city.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night with our 3 kids ages 9, 7 and 5. We don't speak French and, as is the rest of Montreal, they were very accommodating. They will park your car valet style for 25 CAD a day and let you get it as often as you need. The valet doubles as the concierge and was helpful. We were upgraded to a suite with 2 rooms and it was enormous. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and that's saying a lot for me. I don't like hotels.

Yelp
This is not a luxury hotel but it sure has all the amenities one could hope for when traveling outside the country. Staff on the front desk where extremely helpful making check-in a breeze, my car was valet parked in the hotel garage; my son and I were in our room in a matter of minutes. The suite was quite large with a sitting area, desk, a small table preset with china, silverware and wine glasses. The kitchen was good size with a full size refrigerator, stove and plenty of work space if you were inclined to cook. Cabinets were stocked with addition plates, glasses, silverware, wine glasses and a wine opener. Everything was tidy neat and clean especially the full size bathroom. Housekeeping took care of the room every day; everything was as we found it upon check-in each day when we returned. The hotel provides a very nice, dare I say elaborate, continental breakfast each morning in the dining room located on the second floor. The hotel location is super located between the McGill Green Line and the Square-Victoria Orange Line Metro stops, perfect for getting around the city. Great hotel, great staff, means a great Montreal/hotel experience.

Yelp
During a long weekend trip to Montreal we found this hotel online and decided to give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to a very clean room with high ceilings and a big kitchenette. They had even filled the ice tray in the freezer for us and set the table. The rooftop has a pool and a great view of the city. The concierge was very helpful with directions and even let us know of a bridge closing in case we were heading that way on our departure. The hotel is conveniently located downtown and is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and shopping.

Yelp
This is a "condo type " hotel and located by Square Phillips, which is my favorite neighborhood , especially in the summer, when they have the vendors in the park. They are pet friendly. The hotel room is so large its almost like being in an apartment, your centrally located in the city, so you are close to everything. If your staying in Montreal for more than a few days this is the best hotel , close to St. Catherine for shopping, eating and away from hustle/bustle , but close to everything. Did I say quiet? Book a room on a higher floor and you will not hear the construction or city noise. You have an equipped kitchen to cook for yourself or you can eat the free "European breakfast" each morning. The breakfast includes coffee, 3 different juices, croissants, danishes, bagels, toast, yogurts, fruits, meats, cheese, ham and hard boiled eggs. Did I miss anything? The Montreal bagel is sweeter and cooked in wood fired oven. Yum! If you want bacon and eggs you have your kitchen in your room to cook. Refrigerator full size , not the mini kind in some hotels, so shop your heart out in Montreal for cheese, meat, and breads. The roof deck has an indoor pool covered by glass so you can see the city while your swimming (more like a lap pool). The outside terrace is connected to the pool area has lounge chairs to take in the city sites. The gym is attached to the pool . There is the coin laundry on the top floor, to wash your clothes. Theres an ATM across the street in the bank. The business center is on the first floor and has computers to use. There are two metro stations which is about a 5 minute walk. There is a parking lot right next to the hotel that is about $15.00 a day.

Yelp
Great hotel in convenient location. Oue family of four would all greatly endorse staying at the Square Phillips Hotel. We have been delighted with our stay. Our room is spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect. We are nestled between north and south walkable spots. The green and red metro lines are 500 meters away. We had internet availability and plenty of unforgettable restaurants minutes away. The staff is friendly and helpful. I did notice some comments about breakfasy. We expected a continental European type breakfast and this breakfasy exceeded our expectations. There are multiple bread choices, two kinds of coffee, ham, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, and cereal. There are toasters available.

Yelp
3 1/2 stars. We stayed here for 4 nights for our babymoon trip to Montreal last week. Listed below are all the pros and cons of this hotel. Pros: -downtown location, close to everything -clean and large room -free continental breakfast -smell good toiletries -fully stocked kitchen & appliances (fridge, oven, stove, toaster, microwave, etc) -large safe -free local calls -off season rate is pretty affordable -free wifi -good amount of street parking -friendly staff -quiet -pets stay free Cons: -no body lotion - weird b/c all hotels provide lotion -during breakfast hours, the toaster machine on the 2nd floor emits a burnt smell which flows through the whole hotel and apparently can reach the 8th floor (where we were located) - smelled like cigarette smoke, not pleasant -no complimentary parking - valet parking only, ~$25/day -remodeling the front of the hotel - not very appealing w/ the wooden ramps and metal railings -bed and pillows weren't as comfy as they could be Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. For parking, I would either park in the parking lot next to the hotel for $17/day or $10 on weekends or after 5pm. We took the car everywhere so we just paid for a couple of hours on the street either at night or in the AM since there were plenty of street parking for us or it was just our luck. Street parking is free from 9pm to 9am. The location of this hotel was superb so if we were to ever visit Montreal again we would definitely look into staying here again depending on the rate. The hotel is nice and quiet which is a bonus b/c we've stayed at many hotels w/ very bad insulation between rooms.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, great location within walking distance to underground city, Basilica of Notre Dame, Old Montreal. Family vacation, booked a suite. It's huge. 5 of us are very comfortable. Clean, pretty and very spacious. Has a full kitchen. The free continental breakfast is perfect. Fresh fruit, coffee, juices, cereal, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels...for a family on the go it has everything we need. Enjoyed the indoor pool, but it's more of a lap pool than lounge around. It's deep entire length. My 9 old had to stand on her toes to keep head out of water.

Yelp
Le Square Phillips is a nice spot to lay your head down in Montreal. The hotel is located on a quiet street allowing you to get a good night sleep after galavanting the streets of the city. It is brisk walking distance to many of the restaurants, bars and sights of downtown. If you're a lil lazy you can hop on the bus or subways that will take you throughout the city. The suites are big and can comfortably accommodate 4-5 people. New and clean bathrooms, nice kitchen area and wide screen TVs in the bedroom and living area and free continental breakfast. All this for a very competitive price. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is 100% my favourite hotel to stay at while in Montreal. The customer service, the cleanliness, and the over all hotel is just amazing and I am always satisfied whenever I book with them. The hotel is placed in a prime spot, with shopping and the Port of Montreal within walking distance. Staying for 4 days, 3 nights, we chose the deluxe suite with the kitchenette, king bed and queen bed. It was perfect so we didn't have to worry about extra costs on breakfast at a restaurant or even about waking up for their great continental breakfast. Also, the main thing I looked at was the roof top pool and patio. The view is amazing, especially at night and the pool is open till 10:00pm which is perfect for the after dinner swim to burn off the amazing Italian food served downstairs at Zia Trattoria. Loved my stay and wouldn't think twice about going to stay here in Montreal ever.

Yelp
This is a review for Le Carre Restaurant, which is located in the Le Square Phillips hotel and can be accessed from outside separately. The food was very good. I got the Brocoli Brule appetizer (burnt broccoli with almonds). It was excellent. The chili lime butter provided with the ordinary complimentary bread was very good. They also offer plain butter for the non-adventurous. For the main meal, I got the rib eye, which was a tender juicy cut cooked to order. The mushrooms and cauliflower described in the menu was merely garnish on the steak and not in any decent portion. The biggest disappointment was the Malbec, which tasted horrible and was way overpriced. Service was good, but there were few people in the restaurant (except at the bar). A decent choice but not my favorite in Montreal.

Yelp
It's not super modern or deluxe but it's a very nice place to stay, particularly if you're traveling with children. It's a well cared-for property with spacious 2-bedroom suites that have 1.5 baths and a kitchenette (sink, full fridge, electric range, microwave). Pull-out sofa beds, too. A laundry room, gym, and small but serviceable pool and terrace on the top floor. Convenient location and the rooms are surprisingly quiet. Very friendly staff. Large windows (although a tower scheduled to go up soon next door will block the view from some windows). The free continental breakfast is mediocre but it's free. If you're looking for a romantic spot, this may not be your place. However, for all others travelers, highly recommended!

Yelp
Pros - Great Location (one block from St Catherine's and in the middle of everything) - Spacious Suites - Attentive Housekeeping Staff - Kitchen with fridge, stove, dining room table, microwave, and utensils - Free WiFi - Free Continental Breakfast Cons - The continental breakfast was just ok (eggo waffles, toast, dry croissants, muffins, cereal, yogurt, and fruit). I skipped out on breakfast on the last day and opted for the Tim Horton's down the block. - No matter where we pointed the shower head, we soaked the bathroom floor consistently. We stayed in one of their family suites with 3 guys for a bachelor party. We had enough room with a bedoom with a King bed, alcove area with a queen bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. The room was $338 (with all taxes/fees) per night and it was a $38 / 20 minute cab ride from the airport.

Yelp
Le Square Phillips is a great value for those looking for something more homey than a hotel stay. The 'rooms' are really apartments with a decent size kitchen and dining area. The interior furnishing are a bit dated but overall still a fairly comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable. We had two couples staying in a two double beds suite and there were more than enough room for all of us to roam around. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. They have full size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, cooking utensils, wine glasses and all kinds dining wares. However, they do not have spice rack or any cooking oil. Most of the knifes in our room were quite dull so keep that in mind if you are planning to do any serious cooking. Hotel complimentary breakfast was wonderful. It is continental style but they have great varieties. Love those Montreal style bagels. If weather permits do spend some time at their roof top pool. The night sky of Montreal downtown is beautiful.

Yelp
It's not the place to stay with kids. No security at all. Everybody can come in and out. A lot of strange people you see there. While working out you see people coming to smock weed to the upstarts patio. It felt like a very cheap rental place. Unless location and low price is everything( it is really convenient)- highly not recommended. The reason I went there- good reviews and location. It was my bad choice. Careful.
google avatar

Nik B.

Yelp
The Square Philipps is a reasonable priced hotel in downtown Montréal. The rooms, which are actually small appartments with a kitchen and an eating table, are really spacious and of course tidy and clean. The free breakfast is not really to recommend - it's often quite crowdy and the food variety rather basic. Better go for another option in the area. Overall a good stay, if you're aware of the breakfast deficiency.

Dianna W.

Yelp
Large apartments, friendly staff and nice public spaces. Within steps of everything you need on St Catherine's. This former warehouse was renovated into loft-style apartments in 2003. One block from The Bay and an SAQ Signature shop on St Catherine's plus a Provigo grocery store is a 15min walk away. We had a spacious studio apartment, daily housekeeping, great continental breakfast, roof-top patio, coin laundry, pool, and gym. There is supposed to be parking around the corner for half the price the hotel charges. There's also a large Bixi bike station on Phillips Square down the street.

Yelp
Definitely not the cheapest hotel in the world, but nothing in Montreal seems to be that way...$190 a night or so for three people to be in a room, but at least that room was HUGE! I mean big. There was even a full kitchen in it with a full sized fridge and plates and cups and everything! And the beds were actually pretty comfy, but I would have liked some extra comforters or something like that since I am obsessed with blankets ha ha And the pillows were so so for my taste. But overall pretty good! You get free wifi here too which I think should always be free when you stay at hotels, but this is one of the few nicer hotels that had free wifi. You also get free continental breakfast here which includes some fruit, cereal, muffins, pastries, toast...you know the usual stuff, but at least they give you something and they even have two types of coffee roasts which I appreciate. The other downside is parking....I was told that Montreal has a car theft rate and so I definitely paid for the hotel parking, but it is $22 a night!!! Definitely steep, especially when the American dollar is worse than the Canadian dollar if you are an American visiting there! But hey, at least you know it is safe!!

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel due to its great proximity to the U.S. Embassy. My husband had to have his visa interview there and it was a very quick walk (literally around the corner). Because of this, we were able to be the first people in line at the "secret door" (that you'd never know actually takes you inside the embassy). The hotel had a business/internet room which was perfect for our last minute panic searches (I'm telling you, a lot goes through your mind the night before a visa interview) and also they were good about accepting (and getting to us) a last-minute overnight package which included my brother's birth certificate coming from the U.S. (we had forgotten it in our visa app and the visa would have been denied). The complimentary continental breakfast in the "breakfast lounge" was perfect for us as we were in a time crunch in the a.m.. Just your standard bagels, juices, cereals and the like. Also walking distance to lots of food and shops. Montreal has two things for sure, angry frowny faced people and goooood smoked meat!!

Yelp
I came here by myself on a quick weekend getaway. I received way more bang for my buck than I imagined. First, the room was huge. I'm talking studio apartment huge. High ceilings. High windows. Huge California King size bed. Full kitchen. Full dining area. Large bathroom. Wifi. Continental breakfast. Oh, and all this for about $130/night. What a steal! The hotel is downtown, just a few steps from the Underground Mall and everything else downtown has to offer. If you're looking for a great deal, this is the place.

Yelp
Stayed here in June because of the central location, price & what they offer. Would return to stay here again during future Montreal visits. Great for couples & families (if only because of the large rooms). Had no issues whatsoever, very clean & good service whenever needed. GREAT city rooftop with lounge chairs for a summer evening. BIG rooms with fully stocked kitchen. Free WI-FI. Fitness centre small (2 treadmills, couple of bikes, small weight room) but does the job. Indoor pool was smallish & usually full with kids. Complimentary continental breakfast spread was pretty decent (fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels, etc). For a better breakfast, Eggspectations is a 10 minute or less walk away on St Catherine Street. Don't miss the Italian restaurant a few doors down, fantastic pizza!

Yelp
Stayed here for five nights in February. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Our room was bigger than my house so we never felt cramped. High ceilings, large clean bathroom with a deep tub and plenty of towels. We asked for extra towels and voilà! Our bed squeaked a tiny bit when we sat on it but it never kept us awake. It was very firm and, fortunately for us, not a pillow top. Slept very well every night using double curtains to block light at night and sheers for privacy and light during the day. We never visited the breakfast because we bought our own. The kitchen was well appointed with both coffeemaker and electric tea kettle, nice! The coffee was very drinkable and the tea choices were perfect. It had two large televisions but we never turned them on... The location was better than we expected. We were across the square from the entrance to the underground. If it's February, you want this. We walked to the Museum of Fine Arts and back using the underground; we never got lost and didn't have to walk outside in the super cold except for a few blocks at the beginning and end. If you are looking for a safe, clean, well appointed hotel for your trip to Montreal, stay here. Excellent value! Excellent location! Excellent experience!

Yelp
This place is really pretty so it gets 1 star. It also has really great people working, they were friendly and attentive! 1 star Thirdly the hotel is in the center of Montreal near a lot of great bars and restaurants!! 1 star Maybe it because my wife and I live in our 33 foot Winnebago full time traveling but I thought the beds, linens, and towels could use a serious upgrade!! - 1 star Also the restaurant has the strangest hours. Want a drink at 3pm nope. Want a snack at 11pm nope. - 1 star Anyway. 3 stars!

Yelp
The only thing I can say bad about this place is the beds are just a firmer than I like. That is just my preference though. The staff was helpful, the rooms were very spacious and the location is ideal. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We stayed in one of the family suites of this hotel and it was plenty clean, spacious/comfortable for a family of five. Our children were actually playing hide & seek in the suite. The staff was helpful and even offered gifts to our children up on check-in (and the toys/activities were great--not cheap throwaways). While not extensive, it is nice that they offer continental breakfast for a quick bite & coffee before a full-day of touring. We didn't have much of an opportunity to use the well-stocked kitchen, but could be nice for those staying longer than a few days. The indoor pool was chilly(!), but it was fun for the kids to swim with a view of the city from the rooftop. This hotel was quite reasonable and really accommodated all of our needs for a family visit to the city.

Yelp
My room was like a studio apartment, plenty of space even a kitchen and bathroom was large enough to move around in. They also had a decent continental breakfast with different varieties of juices, breads, cereals, hot drinks, yogurts, fresh fruits, plus hard boiled eggs. Spacious breakfast room to accommodate everyone. The hotel is next to a great pizza place which has about 30 different varieties of pizzas they make. But, the elevators seem really slow! Some of the staff are very helpful and kind while others seem disinterested in the guests.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to Montreal from New York for a quick weekend getaway. He made all of the arrangements. To my surprise, he picked this lovely hotel. I love the idea that we're so close to many places downtown and the room with a fully operational kitchenette sealed the deal. The only downside is that they don't provide free parking.

Yelp
(+) 1. Great location - Located within walking distance to Notre Dame, Old Montreal, Chinatown, Latin Quarters, St. Catherine's, a few arts museums, the metro and a lot of shopping and restaurants. 2. The room was big. Very high ceiling with a king size bed and a small kitchen. 3. Nice and friendly staff. They provided an extra cot with no charge. 4. Free internet - they provide a code to you upon check-in. 5. Free continental breakfast - toast, croissants, cereals, fruits and coffee. (-) 1. We requested 2 beds and ended up with a room with only one. We went to talk to the front desk and they were out of rooms to switch us to. But they provided the cot at no extra charge. 2. The towels smell. 3. The parking is $22 a day which is OK. but it has to be valet. If you need something in your car, you have to go through the concierge.

Yelp
Such a pleasant stay. I booked this hotel after reading 8 comments from YELP. The stay was far better than these 8 comments rated. I LOVE the spacious room, high ceiling. Clean. Quiet. Centrally located. Good breakfast. VERY HELPFUL and courteous front desk and concierge. The BIG room is good for the family. The fully loaded kitchen is great. Most important is : good price. Nice roof top indoor swimming pool. Exercise room was closed for some upgrade. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown this hotel has spacious, clean rooms, fast and free Wi Fi and a great staff with a friendly attitude. The breakfast is not the best but they have good coffee, again, for free. The room was $170/night and immaculate. it came with a fridge and a microwave oven.

Yelp
Staying at this wonderful hotel while in Montreal, couldn't ask for a nicer room at a more reasonable price! It's been the perfect place to stay after a long day at the convention center with lots of great places to eat close by and several attractions such as Chinatown within walking distance too. I love having a fully functioning kitchen to use in my room.

Yelp
We went to this hotel on our family vacation. The front desk and concierge staff were very helpful, and professional. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our room had a kitchenette, everything worked good. It would be nice if the housekeepers left soap for the dishwasher daily. We did not have any noise problems. The continental breakfast is basic , it is very chaotic during breakfast hours as the room is very small. Valet parking is $20 dollars a day. You can park at the garage next door but it is unsupervised. The pool is on the top floor with the gym. It offers a view of the nearby surroundings. We would recommend this hotel if you are traveling with younger kids if you don't mind the price. Best regards, The man with the yellow hat

Yelp
If you're just looking for a comfortable yet clean place in a neat neighborhood (this being St Catherines) this is definitely a great choice. For our party of 10+ gentlemen, with our potential for rowdiness, they wouldn't let us cram ourselves into lesser rooms. Good thing I'm in my more mature years where 4 doods to a 2 full size bed room is just shy of being tolerable and passing out on the couch or floor is no longer acceptable. The prices are somewhat higher but on a fair scale. It's pretty much a 3 star hotel, but comes off looking somewhere above that with its more formal lobby but retaining some of the older details in the room themselves. However, the rooms are spacious and the roof pool and patio area offers a great view to a part of Montreal that provides a great atmosphere for some whiskey sipping and cigar puffing. Definitely would recommend staying here.

Yelp
Very, very good but not quite 5 stars. I will say though that the suites with kitchens have every thing you could ever need!! Very impressed with attention to detail in this place. Perfect if you have young kids. Housekeeping is phenomenal. As is the front desk and valet. I like this area more than old Montreal because of access to malls and better food in my opinion. Breakfast is good but not great but it's included and will get the job done. It's a lot of bread and carbs. Ladies working during breakfast were efficient and helpful. King bed comfy. Rooms clean.

Yelp
After our visit we realized we forgot a few clothing items. Contacted the hotel, and within days they had packed and shipped our clothing. Very professional place. Kudos

Yelp
The room is perfect, very spacious, the full kitchen is amazing for a 5 day trip! The lobby is pretty small, the people working at the front desk only talk to you if you talk to them first, however they are very friendly when you do talk to them. The biggest downfall for this hotel is that there is no hot tub! After walking around the city all day it would be SO nice to soak in the hot tub, but alas there is only a frigid pool to soothe my achy feet.
