The food was excellent. The lamb fell off the bone and the scallop risotto was rich and tender. The wait staff was very nice and were patient with our inability to speak French.

Very pleasant family dinner. They are kept busy, so I’m glad we went early

Very well located restaurant in the city center with a nice outdoor terrace. We had a good lunch here, a tasty big salad with a good burger and french fries😊The service is professional, smiley and very helpful. The prices are fair.

The food was very good. Not a great choice, but the chef uses fresh products and knows his profession very well. The patron gave us a wine recommendation and we liked it very much. Very recommendable place!

Super restaurant !

Yelp
This tiny bistro has a great French, authentic feel to it. The service is good and English speaking, but nothing out of the ordinary. The food is traditionally French, salade chèvre chaud, fois gras etc. We had exactly this and also entrecôte and tiramisu for dessert. Everything tasted very good and again how I absolutely love the combo menu options with starter and dessert. But this is not the best meal I have had in Chartres. The menu has very good wines though. We had half a liter of a Pellehaut white and a Cotes du Rhone red and both were amazing. For me the Sully is a fantastic option for a night out during the week when you do not want to cook at home, but I would choose another place for a weekend meal.

Yelp
Right. So here I am after driving 400 km. I am on my way back home from holiday and me and my little tribe are stopping for the night in Chartres. I am knackered but pleased to enjoy this nice town on the outskirts of Paris. What we all need now is a decent place to cool off in the shadow of the cathedral and we settle for Le Sully. The boss is welcoming and although all tables are booked for later this evening I don't need to push too hard to get a table. Thirsty as I am I try the local brew (l'Eurelienne). This is an elegant blond beer and probably the best beer I ever had in France. Nice surprise. We go for the menu of the day: avocado with rillettes and gambas en entrée followed by a paella 'de la terre'. It is tasty and the red wine is well-behaved. The little one ate his chicken nuggets and ice cream - which is quite something. The bill is just below €65 for the three of us. Good ratio quality-price. The reason I didn't give a four stars mark is simply because I wanted to be a wee bit nasty for the waiting before the desert. But I'll be back.
