We had a wonderful stay at Le Surmer on La Digue! Everything was perfect, especially thanks to Junia, who gave us so many helpful tips and really took care of us. Our room was cleaned every day, which made our stay even more comfortable. There is some construction in front of the beach, but it didn’t disturb us much – and La Digue has so many other beautiful beaches to explore anyway. The transfer to and from the ferry terminal is also very convenient for €13. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay with great hospitality!

Overall, this accommodation was a great experience. The rooms were very clean, though not particularly modern. We stayed in a spacious unit that included a separate bedroom as well as a combined kitchen and living area, which made it very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for self-catering, which we really appreciated. We also had access to a small terrace with two sunbeds – a lovely spot to relax. Towels were provided as well. One nice extra was the ability to rent bikes for just 8€ per day. That made getting around the island much easier and more enjoyable. Upon arrival, we received helpful information about the island, local activities, and their respective costs. This introduction was really valuable and made planning our stay much easier. Breakfast can be delivered directly to your accommodation if requested. While convenient, we found the price (15€ per person) a bit high for what was offered. The direct Beach access like advertised was not possible due to construction work. Would be nice if this was communicated earlier.

Le Sur Mer Chalets delivered an exceptional stay. The beautiful property was meticulously maintained, instantly creating a serene atmosphere. My room was incredibly large, offering ample space, complemented by a well-maintained kitchen that provided fantastic convenience for meals. Sagar, the property Manager, was truly outstanding: nice, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, significantly enhancing my experience with their local insights. Though situated across the road, the hotel boasts superb, one-minute access to a private beach where I witnessed a spectacular sunset. Overall, it is a highly recommended retreat for its comfort, convenience, and unparalleled hospitality.

We had a wonderful experience. Our room were spacious, featuring a well-equipped kitchen and a separate living area, which made our stay very comfortable. A special mention must go to the Manager, Mr. Sagar, for his exceptional service and attention to detail. He was incredibly helpful with local recommendations for trails, restaurants, shopping, and more. Overall, a very positive and memorable stay.

The apartments are very basic. So they are technically OK but not for the price you pay. The fact that many booking website still tell that there's direct access to the beach is misleading, since there is a construction site ongoing. Sunbeds of the property still there, but you don't really want to stay there since the construction site is right behind you. Sagar is a good guy and provides you all needed (basic) information. Tricky the fact that when I was texting the owner she told me the transfer from jetty to the place was 20eur, whereas Sagar told me once I get to the place that it was 13eur. Lastly: really you need to pay extra for wi-fi? Come on...

Property was in a not nice area, far from the life and quite shady. Property was perhaps ok for family but nothing near charming for couples. For the same price were dozens of better options. Very unsure how they got the good stars, really. Would I return? Definitely no.

Fantastis stay! Very spacious units are across the road from the private beach. The beach is shallow but this is pretty much like everywhere in La Digue: on the west coast it is shallow, on the east coast quite deep but you can't swim because of the big swell. They got kind of rustic federation furniture, very cute. The kitchen has everything you need for self catering even a rice cooker. There is also a chef working on site, very good cook! Continental breakfast for 15 Euro probably not worth it but his creole cooking is fabulous. Because we stayed there for more than 7 nights business treated us with complimentary dinner on last night - outstanding grilled fish! And you can rent a bycicle onsite.|The only downside was the state of their facilities, the premises are outdated and could benefit from some refurbishment: in the kitchen the ceiling fan was stuck on one speed and the chain switch was missing, oven seal was broken so the door would not shut completely pushing plenty of heat out.|But the main good impression is their staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and Junia is a gem! She kept our chalet immaculately clean and helped with some advices.|P.S. When we were leaving they started a construction of a big restaurant on the beach so I am not sure how good it is there now.

We stayed 4 nights at Le Surmer. At the check-in we got a good introduction of the the accommodation and the island. I highly appreciated! Nice clean, big rooms with good kitchen equipment. One notice: every day much flowers on the bed was nice but not necessary. Only one flower will do or I rather see these flowers in the garden;-) |We decided to have breakfast every morning and it was good, fresh fruits, pancakes and eggs. The staff Sagar and Junia were very kind and so helpfull and thoughtfull. I highly recommend this accommodation on La Digue! It's just minutes walk/biking nearby Helipad, St Mary's Hospital and Union Estate. They currently are building a new swimmingpool and restaurant on the opposite road next to the beach. We didn't experienced any disturbance about the construction works. If possible we definately would come back to see the results!
