"Set against a backdrop of lush jungle, this secluded luxury resort offers a mix of accommodations, from gorgeous villas with their own private plunge pools located right on the resort's powdery white sands to overwater bungalows with traditional thatched roofs, large lagoon-facing decks, and deep soaking tubs. The resort sits on the mountainous, verdant island of Taha'a, off the coast of Raiatea, and is accessible only by speedboat or helicopter. Taha’a is also known as the vanilla island, renowned for producing some of the finest Tahitian vanilla in the world, and the hotel offers excursions out to local vanilla plantations as well as to pearl farms, where guests can learn how famous black Tahitian pearls are harvested. Marine conservation tours are also available, and the hotel can even arrange yacht rentals for guests on request. Cultural activities include weekly Polynesian-themed evenings, complete with a Tahitian buffet and local performers, such as traditional fire dancers."

"Absolute paradise--I didn't want to leave." On an islet filled with vanilla plantations, just ten minutes from Bora Bora by helicopter, this beach resort with a perfect location score is done in Polynesian style. Guests stay in overwater bungalows or beach villas built with local bamboo; the former have wraparound decks, so guests can kayak to and from their rooms, while the villas have plunge pools and hammocks under the coconut trees. "The lagoon massage was an exceptional experience." "I felt as if I was the only person on the island." Meals can be delivered to you on the beach, and activities include swimming with sharks."

We stayed at Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts in June 2025 for our 10-year anniversary, and we truly can’t say enough good things about this magical place.||From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and friendly—genuinely so, never forced. The general manager personally greeted us at check-in and even saw us off at check-out with thoughtful gifts, which was such a special touch.||We spent one night in a beach villa, which was absolutely stunning and featured the coolest outdoor bathroom we've ever seen. Then, we moved to an overwater bungalow and were upgraded to an end-of-pontoon unit—an unforgettable bucket-list experience. The views, the privacy, and the proximity to marine life made it surreal. At night, we saw sharks and rays from the dock, and the underwater lights by our bungalow attracted countless fish, making it feel like a private aquarium.||The coral around the property is fantastic, and snorkeling in the nearby coral garden was a highlight—just make sure to bring water shoes! We also had an incredible paddleboarding experience, gliding over clear blue waters for nearly half a mile before reaching coral-rich, deeper waters. It was absolutely breathtaking.||The rooms were decorated beautifully with fresh flowers and special touches for our anniversary, which made us feel so celebrated. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, but the standout was Polynesian night—a mesmerizing show with talented dancers, an incredible fire performance, and truly delicious food, especially the tuna.||We also did a tour organized by the resort to the main island of Taha’a, where we visited a vanilla processing plant and enjoyed a scenic drive around the island. Don’t miss the resort’s ice cream shop either—it’s a hidden gem!||We’re in our late 30s/early 40s and couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to relax, celebrate, and connect. The blend of luxury with culturally thoughtful design, the genuine hospitality, and the incredible setting all combined to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience.||We can’t recommend Le Taha’a enough—it was pure paradise.

This review is long overdue. Our trip was magical! We spend 10 nights in French Polynesia, 5 nights of which was in Le Taha'a. From the moment we arrived, the check-in was smooth, the OTW bungalows had an amazing view of the lagoon. It was like out of a perfect movie, lying in bed or on the patio and looking at the beautiful lagoon and mountains. The customer service was exceptional. There is an ice cream shop that was the highlight for our kids, and we felt so safe knowing that we were in a "private" island. We booked our trip through Claudia from Pacific for Less. She made the whole trip so stress free, even though we were a big group by arranging everything beforehand and giving us insights of where to go and what to do.

Le Taha’a was the first overwater stay during our recent trip to the Society Islands and it was everything that we’d hoped for and more. Everything from the easy airport transport, greeting by eukalele, smooth check in and the view were simply amazing! We were impressed by the kindness of the staff, the intimacy and serenity of the resort and food was sensational. We even booked a tour through the concierge, who set us up with a half-day tour with Aro Ma’ohi. Aro was amazing as he led us on a tour of a distillery, pearl farm and vanilla plantation. His knowledge and love of his island were very apparent and he gave such an authentic and fantastic tour that included demonstrations of Tahitian culture as well. We’re so thankful of our time on the Vanilla Island and cannot wait to come back!

This was our second trip to Taha'a to celebrate our ten year anniversary. We honeymooned there. The entire experience was first class including the service, dining, excursions, and maintenance of the grounds. We especially noticed the improvements to the landscaping and lighting. Although we did not get our original request for the end-of-pontoon Bora Bora view villa, we stayed in villa 42 on the other end-of-pontoon. This turned out to be wonderful. I believe we stayed next door in villa 41 during our honeymoon. I slightly preferred villa 42... it was even more private.||One of our favorite memories from our honeymoon was the ATV excursion with Teva. We did it again and it did not disappoint. The lunch at Teva's house was just as good or better than what we remembered.||The fine dining at Tipairua was exceptional. The wine pairings were well chosen and complimented the delicious cuisine. The ambience was welcoming and island-appropriately sophisticated without the pomp-and-circumstance of 3-Michelan star etiquette. The service was attentive without being intrusive.||Our only two complaints during our stay were the quality of the bath products and snorkel gear. Compared to, for example, the St. Regis in Bora Bora, the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were not as good. Similarly, the snorkel gear was just OK. Otherwise, everything was excellent. We plan to return in five years and then hopefully every two years after that.

Though one can not get to the hotel directly by plane, once we arrived st the Motu it is on, we were in our own little world. ||Grandkids enjoyed the beach, snorkeling and the food. Their parents enjoyed the food and variety offered at breakfast.||Staff and assistant manager did their best to meet our needs.

Do yourself a favor and stay here! Every bit of this place is outstanding. The property is so awesome. Would recommend bungalow 7! The people do a great job of taking care of the guests. Smiles were genuine and everything was made easy. Snorkeling was amazing as well. Go as many times as you can. Worth it! Maruru to the team!

If you want a romantic getaway that makes you feel like you’re all alone, this is the resort for you! We celebrated our honeymoon here recently and it was gorgeous. We had a fabulous time walking the resort, snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing. The overwater bungalows are perfect and have beautiful touches like glass sections to look down at the water. You’re bound to see fish at this resort! The food selection wasn’t superb for my husband and I as pickier eaters, and the waitstaff did seem to be on island time often being slow to service tables, brings drinks, etc. The resort could use a convenience store so you could purchase some of your own snacks or drinks. Loved how the minibar was included, and room service was a great experience. At night we’d walk around and see no one! It felt like we were on our own private island. Mostly adults staying here too, which was nice and preferable for a romantic honeymoon getaway.

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with top-notch accommodations, this hotel is the perfect getaway! Everything is clean, modern, and well-maintained, and the staff are warm and welcoming. It truly feels like a place to go when you want to get away from it all. One of the highlights is the incredible snorkeling right off the resort—Coral Gardens is teeming with marine life and vibrant coral. Just be sure to bring water shoes, as the coral can be sharp. Highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility and natural beauty in a stunning setting.
