Le Taha’a is a beautiful resort overall. We booked this trip through Costco Travel, and thankfully it was a good decision that we did that. They pick you up in the airport and take you by boat to the resort which is lovely. The greeting is beautiful, and I love the little ways that they welcome you and say goodbye, those little touches were absolutely lovely and meant a lot. The fact that they give you a beach bag and water bottles is really nice, and getting our mini bar refilled daily and complimentary for the honeymoon was a nice touch. We went for our honeymoon, and they were very sweet about trying to do little things in the room for us, doing little floral decorations, trying to find an allergen free treat for myself, things like that. The bungalow was beautiful and really nice, the way the doors opened into your private deck was nice and private, but the water to go into off of the bungalow could have a very strong tide at times and was very shallow. Otherwise, it was a lovely room to be in overall, and it was good to be close to a machine where we could get water at any time. The staff itself was a mixed bag to deal with truthfully. The cleaning staff managed to lose my prescription glasses while cleaning and several times had gone through our bags without permission while cleaning or doing turndown, which left a sour taste in our mouth and was frustrating as if I had not had contact lenses I would not have been able to see throughout the trip. If I could give a four and a half star review that would be most of what I took off for. They struggled in being understanding and accommodating regarding my allergies, though I gave the property months advance notice and sent them all lists and documentation, it was disheartening that they basically just offered me items off of a kid's menu and didn't do anything to try to help, and even though we purchased a meal package going in, the one time they "tried" to do something they charged us for it. (for the record, it was a side of french fries that they charged us for since I could not have any of the starters at the hotel, which we felt was a bit ridiculous) This leads to the fact that there really is only the one restaurant on site and it is fine but nothing special, particularly in the fact that there really is not much variety. Their Polynesian night and buffet is by far the best and that was better then any other night by far in terms of food as well as the entertainment, it is lovely all around.
