"Located on a gorgeous, very private stretch of black-sand beach, Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort offers affordable, modern rooms, many of which feature spacious layouts, private Jacuzzis, and ocean views. Guests can also look forward a massive infinity pool, a luxurious spa, and meticulously maintained grounds, complete with fresh flowers and lush grass. The onsite Hita Mahana Restaurant and Bay Bar are outdoors but covered, offering sweeping views of the sunset across the ocean to Moorea. Note: This resort is very close to the airport so it’s ideal for those arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning."

We stayed for one night after a wonderful week at Le Tikihau (also a Pearl resort), before heading back home. The reception staff was really kind. Actually all the staff was. Unfortunately, the hotel is really outdated and in need of maintenance everywhere you look— the bathtub breaking away from the tile with mold in the cracks, the shower faceplate broken off, chipped paint, water damage almost anywhere you look, 100-200 tiles missing from the pool, cloudy looking and cold hot tub. The few updates that look like they have been done more recently— newish flooring in the room, for example— were done with very cheap quality materials and are already breaking down. The restaurant staff was very kind. However, the food was pretty bad. We had a pasta dish that was noodles and canned tomatoes vs tomato paste. No seasoning or cheese. My daughter ordered a steak and it was a hamburger with no bun. Maybe this is a cultural misunderstanding, though. We really wanted to like this hotel but will probably use the Hilton or intercontinental for our next stop over.

It's very secluded, so not a lot of options nearby, but they do offer a free shuttle to downtown which was nice. The rooms were a bit worn, stained carpet, the outside buildings needed love, but the restaurant is well done, good food, amazing entertainment, nice pool and right on the beach. It's black sand on that side of the island.

The resort is fantastic. It has a beautiful swimming pool and a very nice beach. It is a little far from restaurants or shops, so you have to have your meals there. The restaurants are nice but nothing special. All the hotel staff are fantastic, especially Jenny and her restaurant team. Unfortunately Maire is an unfriendly person. She doesn’t meet the standards of the rest of the staff.|The room was excellent. We had a superb stay at the hotel.

We had a fabulous room overlooking the sea on the 4th floor. Swimming pool great it's a very large complex so not suitable for those looking for a boutique experience. A long way from any amenities so you are fairly isolated.

New building and beach are the only thing this place has going for it. Food is mediocre at best. Seated for dinner show and never asked about drinks or even provided water till asked. Ignored at bar for happy hour, had to go order drinks then once delivered never checked on, happened on two evenings. How this place is even listed on the same site as the other Tahiti Pearl resorts is a mystery. Have stayed at 2 of the others and they are great.

I checked in expecting to relax in a nice room I paid good money for, and instead we were greeted with a room with no view and non working bath tub. I asked the front desk if we could change rooms as we didn’t get what we paid for and they said “fully booked”. Stay away from this so called resort it’s a scam. Those stairs you see is the main staircase leading to the building so no chance opening those while we take in the non existent view to our bath. Ive also called and waiting half an hour to see if they can come fix the tub and no one has arrived.

My favorite part of the hotel was the black sand beach. It is so unique and pretty. The views from the hotel are stunning are but the rooms and the hallways look very old. I think this hotel requires a renovation and it would be amazing! They have traditional Tahitian dance twice a week which was fun!

Stayed here for 2 nights on our trip into French Polynesia and again for 2 nights when leaving. It is a ways out of Papeete, which could be a problem for some people but both my husband and I like that it was quiet. Great view from the balconies to the beach. The beach was great to walk along and swim. Food was good. Breakfast buffet had lots of different choices and the employees were wonderful. We rented a car for our last day in Tahiti and the hotel arranged it all - very easy.
