"Le Tasse Livre, Les Pentes. Without doubt the address that I frequent most during a given week. A quick coffee stop, or to pick up a fantastic croques-monsieur with a soup & salad. Beware that all desserts, smoothies and other homemade goodies are highly addictive. Also take a look at their collection of books, all carefully chosen."

There are plenty of fancy specialty coffee shops around town these days, but La Tasse Livre is unique for its cave interior and funky decor. Half bookshop, half cafe. They offer different coffees, teas, and house made cakes and lunch. Plenty of space to meet a group of friends. Though the interiors is really charming and makes the shop, it also has a nice terrace outside it's entrance. If you're looking for a less pretentious fun atmosphere to drink an espresso, come here.

Great atmosphere, feels very cosy and like someone’s living room inside but the outside terrace has a great location for people watching in the square. Seems to be a good place to work with a laptop or books. While I was there working other people appeared to be doing the same and the staff appeared cool with it. There was a great WiFi connect and the password is readily displayed on the counter. The staff were really friendly and spoke good English. The coffee was also great and served with a glass of water which I always appreciate. 👍🏼

If ever the city becomes too vast and the commotion of the day too heavy of a burden; find this hidden away wonder. Le Tasse Livre – a hideaway for the quiet minded, and those seeking chilled vibes and perhaps a good read. Few places offer the rest-bite from the world outside like this place can. The faded out lighting, sweeping cave-like ceiling filled out with stone and the warmth of the wooden furnishings all add to the atmosphere. Not to be forgotten are what this little place of refuge offers to indulge your taste buds. Perhaps one of the many Chocolat Chauds take your fancy, or a Milkshake topped with cloud-like cream. Not to forget the variety of teas they offer, maybe along side a Gateau? Give this place a visit if a bit of time to relax is on your mind.

I hang out at this place every Tuesday. Not much english, but super chill for when you have a few hours. Good for writers, readers, and as a place to be alone.

Yelp
Service can be a little terse at this neighborhood cafe, but most bookworms won't mind. And actually, strangers often strike up conversations on the pleasant terrace, which is set smartly below a quiet street. A nice selection of quality coffees, teas and smoothies in addition to a lovingly curated library of independent press, comics, children's books and tourist guides. The attention to detail is welcome and most likely guarantees a dedicated following. Popular spot for students, journal writers, bookish moms, and anyone seeking a quiet nook to while away an afternoon. I'm looking forward to attending some of the upcoming events that some of the other Yelpers have mentioned, but there is no information currently on Le Tasse livre's website.

Yelp
I don't want to be a hater because Le Tasse Livre is cozy and their waffles are tasty and they have some fancy smoothies and milkshakes and they've also coined the term "smoo-tea" which are tea flavored smoothies (and also how most people pronounce smoothie). But... ...dysfunctional wifi?! They have it, but it doesn't seem to work! I wanted to stay all afternoon, but it would have been really difficult to get any work done with no wifi. There's not even any cell reception! (Not with free, anyway). I wanted to love it, but the wifi situation bummed me out pretty severely. En gros: J'avais prévu de m'installer dans ce café cozy, mais le problème de wifi était une très mauvaise surprise.
