Le T'Chiot Zinc

The crepe in a cheesy sauce was good as my starter. I chose duck breast for main with an apple sauce, asked for it to be cooked medium, it came out well done... not impressed, it was leathery and dry, served with fries and apple sauce.... fries were ok but some looked recycled, apple sauce from a jar and no other vegetables. Very poor cooking.

I guess we were just lucky when we stumbled upon this gem at 21:00 on a Saturday evening and they happened to have a table for 2 left. This place is exactly what you're looking for in a French restaurant: all the traditional dishes, good portions, deliciously made and for amazing value. Add to that the waiters who are running their behinds off to serve everything and you'll see why this place is so popular. Next time I'm in France, I'll gladly make a detour to stop in Amiens just for a quick bite here.

Decent, average french cuisine. Lots of selection, which is risky. I'm not sure what is fresh. For being known for duck pâté, it wasn't very good. Service was impeccable, however. The space is a little strange with the kitchen upstairs and what seems like an old bathroom used for overflow tables.

It is not a hidden gem. Everybody knows about it and the reason is simple: it is excellent. Had a formule midi, tasteful! The young lady responsible for a attentive but non-intrusive service. The kind os place that makes me try fewer restaurants in a location because I tend to return to it.

Glad we chose this place despite the last couple of reviews. Our waiter was very friendly, serviceminded, helpful. He also made my order to my preferance, without any problems. It was nice, warm in there, cosy, great athmosphere. Thank you.

There was the worst tar-tar in my life🥹 cozy atmosphere, but it doesn’t feel clean

Good food, good portions. The prices are very fair

Long story not so short, we sat at the table and the waiters never came to take our orders. After 30min, we started calling them, and at first we thought that they would soon come to our table and that's why they didn't bother answering vocally after being called, but then the 30 min became ONE FULL HOUR. You could see them running up and down as if the place was crowded, but that was not the case, as more and more people were entering and there were free tables for everyone. Amazingly they had time to clean and set the tables after other people finished eating, but they 'didn't have time' to take the orders of the people who were sitting there for ages (they didn't take the orders of some other tables either). At some point it was either waiting or leaving the place to find nowhere else to eat (most places were closing). We decided to leave anyway. This review has nothing to do with the food - we never had the chance to try it; it's all about the service. I'm not giving minus 1 star just because it isn't possible. This might have been a special day because the place has basically no bad reviews (which is precisely why we chose it).

Will you get a taste of Picard cuisine? At a decent price? Yes and yes. Will the food be made with love, or is it just there for tourists (point to yourself) who want a taste of regional cuisine but couldn't find a better spot? No and yes. If you can't find anything else, this will work, but it won't be a food memory you cherish.
