Food & service was excellent. The only thing that put us off completely was the tank with lobsters in the middle of the restaurant. While i understand the intention to show it as a premium attribute of the place, it really is not. I don’t know how can anyone enjoy their food looking at small living beings suffer in a tiny cage. There are so many ways to offer great food in a more humane way.

In every aspect an excellent experience. Starting with the food, wine and last but not least the service. We can definitely recommend this restaurant. Prices are a bit higher but it is worth it.

Great service &food.. they do a really exceptional great service and the food is also a dream. Thx again.. we have been in this restaurant various times over the last 10 years. .. Never disappointed .. even with a group of 25 gourmands..

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The beef was exceptional and chocolate mousse desert was amazing. Staff very attentive.

We are English and went in early April so not as busy. We were sat in a blind corner even though it was not busy. There was no ambience and very quiet. FOOD: Scallops had grit in them, but they were very well cooked with nice sauce. Ballotine was bland with basic leaf salad. Overcooked and dry bread. Steak was very tasty, and perfectly cooked. Desserts were very tasty. SERVICE: The service was unwelcoming. They were quick to collect unfinished starters, but inattentive to our needs. WARNING: The prices on the menu do not include taxes so that was an unpleasant surprise.

Le Valentino tries to be the classiest restaurant in town - and it probably is, but ouch, the prices. For dinner, you have the choice between a €38 and a €58 menu (3-courses and 4-courses respectively), or à la carte, where mains are ~€30-40 and desserts €11. For that price, it is good - but not enough. I had the €38 menu, with the tuna tartare (way oversalted), the lamb with couscous and apricot (excellent meat, average side) and the chocolate and caramel mousse (pretty good, but I wouldn't re-order it next time). Service is very nice, and the place itself is classy.
