UPDATE - JULY 9TH
Melanie, I am adding screenshot that the points from this visit were deducted from my account on the dates I had scheduled to stay at your hotel. Now, Hyatt does control the points but this proves my reservation wasn't cancelled by Hyatt. The error that put me and my partner in a dangerous situation is on the HOTEL WALLACE.
As a reminder, this was the night in Paris where 13 people were stabbed with syringes and your hotel left us with no place to stay late at night.
UPDATED - JULY 8TH:
Melanie, your response from 2 weeks ago is disappointing.
After we were turned away by your front desk, I emailed your hotel visual proof that the reservation was still active on Hyatt. In fact, it was still active on Hyatt for the two nights I was supposed to stay at your hotel.
This leads me to believe you either are ignoring the visual evidence to make your hotel not look bad on this forum OR you choose not to read my email where I sent you the screen shots.
Either way, I have been a loyal customer for Hyatt for 15 years. I have never had an issue in all of my travels like this egregious one until I made the mistake to make a reservation at your hotel.
Your hotel put me and my parter in a potentially dangerous situation where we had to find a hotel both last minute & late at night on one of the busiest nights of the year in Paris. Instead of being worried about a bad review, you should be thankful that nothing happened to me and my partner or we'd have quite the lawsuit on our hands.
As a reminder from my previous email, we also had to shell out $1900 for this room and still have not been refunded our Hyatt points which were deducted from my account.
To anyone reading this, trying to resolve this situation has been horrible. I feel like I have been treated like a dog. Stay away from the Hotel Wallace. There are so many wonderful places to stay in Paris - this is NOT one of them.
Plus, from what I saw of the hotel in person, it doesn't look as nice as the pictures on the website.
ORIGINAL EMAIL
We had a reservation booked through Hyatt. When we got to the Hotel Wallace, the person at the front desk told us they didn’t have a room for us even though we showed him the confirmation number and to come back the next day even though it was a 11pm at night and we were in a foreign country.
I have been a globalist with Hyatt. Never had this happen before and I’ll be switching my loyalty to another hotel chain.
