We adored this hotel in every way. It was a very relaxing place to be. The staff is excellent - kind, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and available. We really felt at ease and content here. The room was very comfortable with a large window, very nice and deep bathtub, very comfortable bed and nice bedding. The breakfast is excellent as is the atmosphere in the gardens. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return to Nice!

We had such a lovely time visiting Nice a second time, Le Windsor is perfectly situated on a quiet street a short walk from beach, old town and the train station. The garden and pool are perfect for relaxing, our room was the Egyptian Room with double windows and balcony overlooking the garden, bed v comfortable! Quiet and slept really well. The hotel is art filled and quirky which we love. But the best thing about Le Windsor is the staff, honestly the friendliest kindest people work here, made us so welcome and always had time for a chat! Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special.

Hôtel was easy to find and within walking distance of tram stop. I recommend you use the tram from the airport. |Hôtel staff were welcoming and helpful.|There used to be a lift to bedrooms but stairs up to the foyer.||The bedroom was large and well laid out. We had one that looked over the garden. |The bed was clean and comfortable.||Wifi was a bit temperamental.||As with most French hotels, it would seem, the shower is in the bath. This was problematic for me as I was recovering from a hip replacement operation. My husband had to help me in and out.||The balcony had a nice view but the metalwork needed some care and attention and put me off sitting there.||I didn’t get a chance to test the restaurant because the day we booked it the reservation was cancelled due to staff sickness. They did however help us to get a reservation elsewhere.||We did come back one evening and ask if we could have just a dessert in the garden but the bartenders response was a sharp ‘non’. No explanation. I was a bit miffed following the let down the day before. ||The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice and we were fortunate to be able to eat in the garden most days. I’ll be honest though I am not a fan of birds in cages.

The optional evening meal is exceptional, outstanding, the food was varied, delicious, and beautifully prepared. It really is a charming hotel in an ideal setting for exploring Nice. We would highly recommend this hotel. |Sending a big thank you to all the staff that made this such a wonderful holiday.

We've stayed in dozens of hotels in over 22 years of visiting Nice and finally I think we've found our annual anniversary retreat. We stayed in a large comfy room with a baroque balcony leading onto the most lushcious garden and pool area. The hotel offered a cool calming break from the busy streets and lively nightlife. The staff were very friendly and caring and welcomed us with a rum cocktail which was a lovely touch. Thank you so much for our lovely stay.

Right from the welcome by staff on arrival throughout our 4 night stay the service from staff was impeccable and so friendly. Our twin room was cosy but well appointed and immaculately clean. The icing on the cake for this hotel is the beautiful oasis of the garden terrace. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is brilliantly positioned for all areas of this beautiful city. Thankyou for a fabulous short stay. Will definitely be back.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. However.||Room was comfortable, but kinda grubby and very plain. Some schmuck reversed the clean room tag on my door to don’t disturb so room was not cleaned. Normally I wouldn’t pick nits like this, but I travel more now and expect what I pay for. This wasn’t it. Refill in-room tea service ever?!||Massage was fair, but steps up to spa are treacherous and hard to navigate, especially afterwards. Underwhelming overall.||Breakfast not worth 18€ especially if you are a bit delayed. Out of several items when I arrived an hour before closing. Someone needs to explain that mostly runny, raw eggs are not scrambled, they are dangerous and disgusting. Any fool should be able to thoroughly cook an egg, even in a French hotel. And enough with all the red meat for breakfast. French claim to be health conscious, evidently not.||They also don’t seem to understand that if they ever refill the minibar I am obviously using, that I would drink and spend more. Lazy or just dumb?

This is not a 4 star hotel. We stayed for three nights and the first night, arriving late, we were allocated a ground floor room which was dark and had a chemical odor. During the night be realized why, as a musty smell became clear. The cleaning products were masking the smell, but it overcame them! We also had issues with the sink plug being stuck closed, and the shower controls not working, while the fridge in the room would not close. Then in the morning in the sunlight we noticed that there were holes worn in the carpet. When we complained we were immediately offered another room on an upper floor, which was clearly more recently refurbished and had no chemical smell.
The new room was adequate but not to a standard I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
The garden is advertised as a feature and hence the Jungle in the name, but in effect it is an overgrown garden and the pool is poorly maintained - the ladder into the pool was very dangerous. The one time we used the pool, leaves from the garden covered the surface and no one was maintaining it. This cannot have been a unique case, so I would expect the pool to be regularly skimmed or the garden to be better cleared of debris from the plants and trees.
I would not recommend this hotel, and most definitely recommend anyone thinking of staying there to insist on a room on an upper floor!
