Gorgeous and well-kept place. Only required a small donation to the volunteer who unlocked the gates for us and gave us a mini tour. Easy walk in the park except for the part by the cave paintings, that section is elevated, you have to climb rocks a little bit, there are no harness or railings on that part so you have to be careful.

Tourist scam Entrance fee 35k and then you need to pay additional amount for the key guard.. All cave has a restricted access if you want to see the paintings you need to pay more.. Leang-leang is a fantastic archaeological park for a family tropical vacation. The prehistoric cave paintings and other historical sites are truly breathtaking. It's an incredibly humbling experience to learn about early human history. Pro Tip: To make the most of your visit, hire a guide. They can unlock the gates to the cave paintings and open the museums, which are otherwise kept locked.

A Unique stone garden. People tend to just focus on photographing the limestone constellation, it is beautiful but the history lies in the caves. Hand stencils and animal painting made by prehistoric humans is actually the main attractions here. The museum even though really small but the display is international quality. Such an interesting and comprehensive and modern approach of a museum.

It is a fantastic geological site that is very well maintained. It's about 2 hours' drive from Makassar. From the entrance itself, you can see the incredible limestone formations up close. The entrance fee is Rp15.000. If you use the private parking opposite the entrance, it is Rp10.000. The further you walk, the more impressive it gets. However, it is advisable that proper shoes are worn if you want to venture further into the limestone karst hills. If you are satisfied with a simple sightseeing trip with maybe a picnic with family and friends, there are several areas to do so. A small stream flows within the park, and it lends soothing background sounds. On the day I visited, which was the second of Eid Fitr, the place was crowded.

A must visit if you are in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The place tells you the history of the first mankind existence. There are many caves (leang), but to enter you have to accompany with a tour guide. Please take responsibility to keep the clean in the area. It’s all locked up. Museum and cave paintings are locked. Nothing to see but a small park with some karst rock formations. I’m going to ask what’s going on. Well, I went back to the front gate and threw a tantrum and they happily opened two cave sites. Absolutely amazing! Gave the man a fifty thou tip. Brilliant
