I rarely leave reviews, but I had to for this place—it’s that good. From the second I walked in, I felt so welcome. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling cramped, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive Now let’s talk about the I swear I’m still dreaming about it. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of char. You can taste the freshness in every bite—from the sauce to the cheese to the herbs. Honestly, it’s the kind of pizza that makes you stop mid-conversation just to savor it. I also loved how relaxed and unhurried the vibe was. It’s the kind of spot where you can hang out with friends for hours or enjoy a low-key date night. I’ll 100% be coming back—and bringing everyone I know. Thanks for an amazing night

Google
Probably the worst pizza I ever had. Cheese was rubbery, and the dough tasted frozen. No sauce on the pizza, and I ordered extra sauce which was extra $. We ordered delivery from a downtown hotel, which was quick. I threw out over a half pizza after these photos.

We went on a Thursday evening, and it was not particularly crowded, but it still took 20 minutes before we saw a server. The fried pickles were great, but the pizza lacked any flavor. I have had cheap frozen pizzas that tasted better. We never got plates or refills of beverages. After we got our pizza and my husband ordered another beverage, the server said, "I will be right back with plates and your drink." We never saw her again before we went up to the bar, paid our bill, and left.

Google
Pizza by the slice is a complete rip off. $5 gets you a slice about the size and quality of an average frozen pizza. (Picture attached) Like this place in the summer because of the atmosphere of the patio, and they have some creative pizzas recipes, but they seemed to have bartenders waiting tables the few times we went, which made for slow service. I was there with a friend with food allergies (egg and peanut) and they were not able to prepare a simple cheese pizza without risk of contamination. That level accommodation should not be difficult. I’ve visited a few times and have not been impressed yet. Overall, if you’re looking for a late night place for some edible but not life changing food, this is a fine neighborhood bar with some room for improvement.

I always love LTOP. It's been a go-to spot for years. They recently had a staffing change where now I know no one, but 1 person. Hopefully it's still a cool vibe. Food is decent. Drinks strong. Service is decent. Atmosphere is OK.

This place has a good atmosphere the times I've picked up orders so i decided to try them on 2 occasions. First time i ordered wings and they were so dry it was hard to enjoy them, though the thai peanut sauce (the little the wings had on them) was really good. This time i ordered the chicken alfredo and I truly hate to say this but i will not be ordering food from here again. The pasta tastes like a frozen tv dinner... I'm not even trying to be rude, this was terrible. The sauce is a step above water. I dipped the bread in the sauce and none of the sauce really stuck unto the bread, that just tells you how watery it is. When i bit the bread i dipped, i couldnt taste the sauce, it was just wet bread. The only good part of the pasta is the chicken which was flavored and cooked well. I'll have to fix this up at home to finish the rest.

Google
Honestly, I’ve had better frozen pizzas. The cheese was only partially melted, yet also burnt in spots. Brownie’s were good once warmed up. Seems like it’s more a bar that happens to serve pizza than a pizza place with a bar.

Google
It’s such a fun little restaurant! The decor is fun and all over the place and the food is yummy! Overall a great bang for your Buck! This is the second time I’ve gone and the staff has been so helpful and cool! Inwould recommend their pizza slices as they are super big and quite good!

Yelp
The new Brunch menu is a total win! The chicken and waffles dish reads a little odd, but it is beyond delightful!

Yelp
Used to live in the neighborhood, and returned after a three-decade absence. We had fried pickles, the house pizza, and a brownie for dessert, and enjoyed every bite. Their Purple Rain is larger and stronger than some others in town, which was noticed and appreciated. Our server was great, and we even enjoyed the odd combination of piped in music mixed with the TV playing in the bar. If you can enjoy a classic neighborhood bar & restaurant type of place, you just might love Leaning Tower. We'll be back.

Yelp
I love this staple in uptown! They have the best potters pizza with celery on it and I brought some friends in for their first time and they loved it. They also gave us a coupon for when we come back we get half off of our order, there's no parking lot, but you can park on the street pretty easily. It's so cute inside of there and so cozy and somewhat divey. I can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
Happy Hour is good Pizza is not fantastic Will go back for sure It's pretty much always Happy Hour at Leaning Tower, especially on the weekends. Nice to see. Most places are a short window M-F at the end of the workday. Lots of regulars. Two for one drinks on happy hour and two bucks off appetizers. Two complaints. The pizza is pretty much cheese and bread. Very minimal sauce. The other would be the very standard non-rotating beer selection. Staff is great and will continue to return if I don't get blackballed for this three star. Easy four if they work on my two gripes.

Yelp
Stopped in for a slice and THC drink after a show. We sat outside at the bar and it was a nice atmosphere. They had buy 1 get one THC drink special so we took advantage. We each had a slice of pizza which was good but not the best. The restaurant interior was very charming.

Yelp
I'm definitely a fan of LT. The place seems to have a new zest about it lately.. the later half of this year. The staff is super friendly, I have a fav or two. Food is decent, I actually have never had an entree, just pizza, wings, tator tots, chicken fingers, etc. They do sell pizza by the slice as well. I'll have to try an entree soon. The drinks are really good. There's a patio outback in the summer to hang out.

Joe S.

Yelp
This place is a classic. Nice and simple, relaxing with friendly service. Booths and a bar. Good pizza and a great menu. My blue cheese burger was delicious and the tator tots were perfectly fried. Happy hours! Two for one beers. Deals on other drinks. Next is the Cuban sandwich. Just like in Miami. Perfect onion rings. Someone in the back knows how to deep fry. I'm coming back.

Yelp
Oh man, I have been driving past Leaning Tower of Pizza wanting to try it for years, and we finally did. This is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint; the inside is comfortable enough but also nothing to write home about. The pizza was pretty good; we visited because they have vegan cheese, and while we have had better pizza elsewhere in the Cities, for the price, it wasn't bad. They also had happy hour while we were there, so our beer was a great price. Service was a bit slow and not the most attentive, but all in all, for the price, this isn't a bad place to grab a pizza and a beer.

Yelp
Great place to stop late-night after a show. Parking can be a little tricky, but you'll find some. The atmosphere inside is great, funny murals, and trippy artwork. Diverse clientele young and old. We sat down in a booth and people watched. There were groups laughing and playing some of the games from their shelf. Service was fast like any pizza joint. I ordered a few beers, my partner got a soda, and we split a small Leaning Tower pizza. The Za hit the spot. It's nothing fancy, maybe a slightly thicker Jacks Pizza, but it has a nice crunch. In general I loved the good vibes and would come back any night after a show to wind down.

Yelp
We ate the shrimp alfredo and a pepperoni pizza. Both were very tasty. The pasta was big enough to share with my son.

Anna J.

Yelp
This place is HOMOPHOBIC watch out uptown don't go here. Also I didn't want to say if before but their pizza sucks. One time I ordered banana peppers and they dumped an entire can of banana peppers on one slice. It was weird and bad. To reiterate, they are incredibly homophobic and should be boycotted like Starbucks, target and amazon.

Yelp
I was overcharged by $300.09 last March. My card was run twice for a large takeout order. One of the charges was meant to be voided, but it was not. I have reached out repeatedly to try and sort this out but I'm being ghosted by the owner. I have never left a bad review for a restaurant in my life and saddens me to have to do it now.

Yelp
I had a lovely time at Leaning Tower. It's a great no frills spot to go and get a relaxing bite to eat. The pizza isn't anything crazy, but if you're craving some za that won't break the bank this is a great spot. However, you absolutely MUST get their jalapeño poppers. They are so so so freaking good. I'm not even a jalapeño popper fan but I devoured them. They also have trivia, so I am definitely planning on coming back to play!

Yelp
I've recently moved near this restaurant and ordered a few times! The pizza is delicious and their side options are great as well. Staff have always been friendly and kind when I go in as well. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I LOVE THIS SPOT. My fiancé and I finding ourselves going here constantly. The mozzarella sticks are some of the best and crazberry martini is the best cocktail I have ever had in my life... I would do anything for the recipe.

Corey M.

Yelp
Seat yourself. Waitress came over with menus and water within a minute or 2. Happy hour 2 for ones! We passed at first, but she came back just a little later and we got some drinks when we ordered. Delivered shortly after, then cheese stick appetizers came out quickly also. Crispy and hot. Marinara tasted more like spaghetti sauce, though. Waitress was very attentive even though slightly busy doing double duty as the bartender. $2 Yelp coupon on our first visit, then they gave us a return coupon for 1/2 off, which we used today. Great atmosphere. Background music not too loud and good variety. Dave, the owner, stopped by our table more than once and even cleared tables and collected our used plates. Parking across the street, not a big deal. Def another return trip is in order!

Yelp
Many years ago, I was less impressed with Leaning Tower of Pizza, mostly for its lack of vegan options, and also for its limited alcohol list. But, as of 2022, it has a better drink menu (specifically, it now carries the superb Sociable Ciderwerks Freewheeler on draft, and a few more indie beers). It also finally has vegan cheese. They use Violife vegan cheese, which is a great choice. A large vegan pizza is 16" ($19 + $2.50 for each topping) and I love the extra-thin, crackly crust. It's not exactly Midwestern tavern-style pizza, but has some similarities. Really, it's its own thing, which is cool. The service is always friendly and on warmer days the semi-enclosed patio area on 24th street is a nice hangout spot. If Leaning Tower added vegan meats and a vegan dessert or two, I'd be there at least once per week. As it stands, if you want even better vegan pizza and the best beer list in Minneapolis, head 3 blocks south to Fire & Nice Alehouse.

Yelp
Charlie our server was so so awesome from a month ago and definitely deserves the most ginormous raise plz plz plz

Yelp
Grear service with delivery on time as scheduled. The pizza was very good, but I'm thinking that as you add toppings you may want to consider the thicker crust option.

M B.

Yelp
Don't order chicken wings from here on Ubereats or wherever. I ordered the Thai Peanut wings, which were $18, and smaller than you'd get for half the price from dominoes. They also were overcooked and tough, I could not finish them. I also ordered a $7 cheesecake which was smaller than I'd get from a gas station. Will not try again :(
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. Shared veggie pizza sans mushrooms. Pizza was great and came out fast. He remembered to take off the coupon too. I'll be back.

Yelp
Recently stopped here with a group of friends. The service quality was EXCELLENT here but, holy moly, the single slice pizza was awful (pepperoni, if anybody is wondering). I had stomach cramps and eventually threw up the meal within hours in the middle of the night. Normally, I would just call and politely ask for my money back (or store credit) but I'm not planning on coming back. Yuck. That said, service was really, really good but the food cannot be THAT bad and merit a good review.

Andy G.

Yelp
Love this place and Erica is amazing the food is okay but the bar is so fun have met so many new friends there

Jinx D.

Yelp
I can't recall the last time I had a pizza this bad. The crust is a cheap, mass produced cardboard like substance. The sauce is ordinary, at best, the cheese is cheap, the green olives were sparse. There is not a positive comment I can make. Never again.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite pizza in the Twin Cities! I just ordered it again and forgot to take a pic before I gobbled it up. I always go on first dates here because it's a relaxed semi dive type restaurant that reminds me of places in Wisconsin where I grew up. They have a parking lot.across the street if you can't find it on the street. I feel at home here and the pizza is top notch - did I say that???

Gordon R.

Yelp
Food is ok. Good happy hour. The bartenders are nice and usually give me a free drink or shot or two. I love being able to smoke at the back patio bar/area I always thought smoking on patio.
google avatar

Joseph O.

Yelp
A decent little Bar and Italian food joint. I went in there on a Sunday afternoon, and just about everyone was watching the Vikings game. That didn't stop me from getting decent service, for some decent food. I had a meatball sub that was pretty good. I didn't like that the sandwiches didn't come with fries and that was an extra cost, but that's a minor complaint. Oh, and if you get a side salad it's just a scoop of spring mix with some dressing on it. I consider those fairly minor complaints though. Overall it was good food, at a decent price, with good service.

M S.

Yelp
South side classic!! I love their garlic bread. Very casual environment. Drinks are good too!!
google avatar

Angelina Z.

Yelp
It's a mpls uptown staple that's been around for a long time. Trivia night every Tuesday. The sandwiches are super bland. Pizza is pretty good. I can't hate cause I grew up near here and it's a local favorite but it's not the best quality for sure. Staff is chill. Environment is clean and nice.

Dan G.

Yelp
I've driven by this place a thousand times while at work and thought it looks like a good place to stop for a beer and a slice. However on a random Wednesday around 12:30 I stopped and walked in. The chairs were all put up on the tables and there was no one inside. The kitchen in the back had lights on, but absolutely no one in the dining area at all and all lights were off. Looks like a decent place and I'd like to try it, but if you're going to advertise being open at 11am you kind of have to be open.
google avatar

Ryker V.

Yelp
Highly disappointed in the food tonight. Ordered a Mac and Cheese pizza for a vegetarian friend since no protein was listed as an ingredient, and come to find the pizza completely caked in pepperonis hidden under all the other toppings, cheese and sauce. Too many pepperonis even for a regular pepperoni pizza. Not to mention the extra 15 minutes the order took past the expected time, the $15 credit was nice but unfortunately we won't be needing that.

Michael S.

Yelp
I have had a bad experience at this restaurant. It was December. There were a lot of flys in the restaurant. They kept serving me drinks with flys in them. I was disgusted. I called the heath department. I will never eat there again. If a friend wants to go there. I will say no way. Most disgusting
google avatar

Jauston C.

Yelp
Not only is the pizza pie to die for, the service is phenomenal. Emily Hutcherson, the bar manager, got me everything in lickety-split fashion while serving a full bar, AND it was Saint Patty's Day! I'll be back next year. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a grand ole time.
google avatar

Lori N.

Yelp
FFS!! Our experience with the pizza here has always been iffy at best. Decided to try it again tonight. I was told "we're not delivering tonight." What??? Not delivering. Forget it! Never again!
google avatar

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Not the best pizza ever but solid pizza and excellent service. We had the Hawaiian on the classic thin crust and a few drinks (great happy hour) on the patio with our dog (super dog friendly) trying to soak in the end of summer. The yelp checkin gets you 2 dollars off a large so definitely take advantage of that. We will definitely be back. It's a level above just dive bar pizza but not gourmet. Exactly as advertised.
google avatar

Kenneth B.

Yelp
The pizza is just bad. I have had way better pizza from the frozen section of the supermarket.

Barb B.

Yelp
Sad review to write after being a customer of 40 years. No longer able to phone in a delivery order must go through their website. So I did; nowhere does it say that delivery is an additional charge because it goes through Door Dash. It says $3.99 delivery fee. Every food item has a few dollars added from the restaurant price if you have it delivered. when I called to complain about paying quite a bit more for delivery than expressed he said that DoorDash has to make their money too. I mentioned not knowing it went through Door Dash or we would have picked it up and I would not be returning. Additionally the delivery person said he had dropped it off at our door but it was not there. I am on teh 6th floor and he had dropped it off on a table on the 2nd floor and we had tipped him. The Leaning Tower employee said (in a very bored way) sorry to hear that. I said I was so disappointed after being a long time customer. At that point he hung up on me. So now, he lost us and the 4 other people who were with us. Plus the fact that I used to order large amounts for work. So go, the food is fine, I have always had good service the many times we were there in person; but I don't spend my money where they clearly don't care if I return. If you are a decades long customer, I am guessing you may know what I am talking about.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza on line. Told 15-20 minutes it would be ready. Waited 50 minutes before ready. Made sure receipt was correct and that it was my pizza. Manager said short staff. Then why did you say 15-20 minutes. Got pizza home finally. It was the wrong pizza we ordered a vegetarian pizza this had both chicken and pepperoni on it. Called to talk to manager. Told he would call back. Never did. After 30 years of getting pizza here i was very disgusted. Manager called later in the evening apologized and gave a credit will give it one more try
google avatar

Yelp
Order never showed. Nobody called. Nobody reached out to me. No refund offered, no one tried to send it out later

Yelp
i first tried their pizza 25some years ago and don't remember anything about it. The second time i tried it was a few days ago and it was just okay. nothing super special. nothing super horrible. the crust was looked old school so going in for my first bite i was excited. not much taste. the texture was okay. as a delivery device to bring the toppings into my mouth it did its job but that's it. again it wasn't inedible, just nothing special. the sauce was also just sauce. not amazing. not horrible. so far if this was the only place i could get pizza within 60 miles i'd be eating it every week for sure. but i have at least 10 more pizza joints closer or as close to choose from. onto the toppings. we did not order green peppers but there were green peppers under the cheese. this is important for later. the other topping we ordered was correct and also under the cheese. and hey there are green olives. a ton of them. like seriously a lot of green olives. all over the top of the cheese. it was obvious the cook misread the order and thankfully noticed after it was cooked. what do you do when that happens? throw on the missing ingredient and put it back i the oven jaut long enough so the olives get warm. the cheese and toppings were good and really we got 3 toppings for the price of two so yeah! overall i doubt i'll have this pizza a third time. lastly the staff we interacted with were nice and the place was clean and looked like it would be fun to hang out. unfortunately we had ordered take out so i'll never know.

Yelp
Best Pies in Minneapolis and great beer selection. With lovely staff, My favorite pizza is the Trinity! Also the service here is top notch 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
Delish! Homelike atmosphere. Casual and welcoming. Awesome regulars and superb staff!

Tini E.

Yelp
Laid back place to grab pizza and beer. Good cheese curds and salad. Decent pizza. Free parking across the street. Glass had lipstick stain and there was something shady going on in the women's bathroom.

Yelp
I love this neighborhood haunt. Madi was my bartendress. She's amazing. Not to mention how cute her booty look in those shorts she was wearing. Leaning Tower %100!

Aymie S.

Yelp
Leaning Tower is such a humble, dedicated workhorse of a Minneapolis restaurant, I wish I could wrap them in my arms and give them a huge hug. They're not only open long hours during COVID - - as in, you could hang out there in person, leisurely, late, at the bar, and actually feel like you're living a normal life - - but they're doing a great job of keeping all the safety precautions in place, and they're delivering as well, AND they've created special items for delivery like meal kits (which is a great idea, because some of their menu items don't work well in delivery format...I found this out the hard way a couple months ago, which is literally my only criticism of this joint, and it's true of many places and foods. Don't ever get French fries delivered. Or onion rings. Appetizers in general, really. From LTOP or anywhere. It's a lost cause, texturally and temperturally.). Anywho, I've gone to LTOP for years, and I've probably ordered almost everything there is on the menu except all the variations of pizza, and there are no wrong choices. Everything is delicious. I love their burgers and fries, I love their jalapeño poppers, their huge taco salad, I went through a chicken strips phase and burned out on chicken strips, but if I hadn't, I'd still be eating their chicken strips. The service is fast and attentive, the wait staff is hipster-grungy and friendly, and it's a really unassuming, relaxed environment. I was there a week ago with a friend, and we both agreed it was the most "normal" we'd felt outside of our homes in a long time. That's worth a lot these days!
google avatar

Nawang M.

Yelp
I go here from time to time when I feel the need to relive my Uptown days. The item I always order is dynobites and they always get it right. Pizza was always a hit or miss depending on what you order. Get the small if you can. I hope this place can survive the insanity of the Hennepin Ave side of Uptown.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
Let me preface that the wait staff were super nice. That being said just an FYI that the pizza crust here is not hand tossed. Pretty sure it's pee made. If you're coming in for a quick bite it's perfect. Just don't expect hand tossed crust.
google avatar

Jack F.

Yelp
I ordered for pick-up today, and was told it would take 20 minutes. I arrived a half hour later and ended up waiting over 50 minutes total for my order. When I politely brought this up with the hostess, she failed to even acknowledge my frustration, and instead complained that she had to deal with disgruntled customers when there was nothing she could do about the wait time. I don't expect a perfect estimate, and I understand her situation, but it was quite an unpleasant experience as a customer. Then I got home and discovered that the pizza was undercooked as well. I will not be returning to Leaning Tower any time soon.

Yelp
Absolutely love leaning tower! The patio is lovely, servers are great, and great menu. Extra love the key lime martini!
