We went for our 6 year Anniversary. Place was extremely clean, very cozy feeling, room was amazing. We had the Confederation Room. Very easy to deal with. Having breakfast delivered to the room was very quick and delicious. The only downfall was the parking at the back and need to walk uphill, along with the bed being high from the floor, so therefore a foot stool would be handy. We will certainly come back

Overall, we had a very good experience staying here. The room was extremely clean, and although outdated, well-maintained with a few minor issues. We stayed in the Bell Island Apartment. The room did have a few issues: temperature control with the wall unit didn't really work, the dishwasher was out of service and the couch's pull-out bed mattress was quite worn out and unusable, so one of us just slept on the couch during our stay. The daily breakfast was good, and the breakfast room was very lovely. It was great to connect with other travellers. The staff members were attentive, polite and caring. In terms of location, it is about a 5 minute drive in to downtown and 30 minute walk. We liked being tucked away a bit and found it easy to make our way into the city centre. Overall I would recommend staying here and look forward to returning sometime soon!

Forgot i was coming so had me stay in another room the first night. Didnt have my key ready the next day. I booked this place because they had washer/dryer in suite. Day 1 washer breaks, told they will replace. Replacement never arrived. Half the house freezing cold, other half boiling hot. Window had floodlights pointed at it so always bright at night (other building also belongs to them so its their issue). Shower inconsistent temp and strapped to a railing with zapstraps. Do not go here.

Book at the Leaside Manor at the last minute during a drive into St. John's - last minute change in travel plans. Upon arrival was not certain how the accommodations would turn out - we are absolutely pleasantly surprised as the location was awesome, the staff absolutely top notch, friendly, so welcoming, knowledgeable - very clean, check out/check in easy, great parking. Booked a room and conference room for my son and groomsmen to get ready for his wedding. Staff were fabulous. Great location. Outside areas offered ample space for pictures and various backgrounds. Breakfast was delicious. I gave an overall 4 star rating as the keypad lock on our exterior room door wasn’t working. The interior doors accessing our room were locked. It took several phone calls before we actually were able to speak with someone . Then they contacted the staff at Leaside Manor who came to let us in. Overall a 45 minute wait late at night. Not the way you want to end an evening.

Not knowing what to expect on our first visit to St John’s Leaside Manor was a real find. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed the convivial breakfast with a chance to meet other guests. The setting was very pleasant even though it was a little out of town. We would have no hesitation in recommending Leaside Manor for a delightful stay in St John’s.

So cozy and romantic. The personal touches such as matches and candles on the jet tub and its own personal entrance makes Leaside manor one of my favourite places to stay in. The hospitality is beyond wonderful and complimentary breakfast delivered to your room is an added personal touch.

My fiancee and I stayed at Leaside Manor the night we got engaged and it was the perfect romantic getaway to celebrate the occasion. The room was gorgeous, the two-person Jacuzzi tub was wonderful, and the ability to have breakfast delivered to our room in the morning was very convenient. The only downside is that the manor is not within short walking distance of downtown as their promotional material states, but we had use of a car during our trip so that was not a problem.

The Leaside Manor is a wonderful place to get away from it all. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are many different rooms to choose from and each has its own unique charm. You can have breakfast between 7:30 and 9:30 AM and you can have it delivered to your room or eat in the large dining room. Our total stay at the manor was about a week. We decided to have breakfast in the room each day and it was tasty. There is a different dish or change in the breakfast each day. The room was clean and they made up the room every day. Also it was really great to have the free wi-fi. I had a great stay, keep up the good work!

My wife and I had booked a room at Leaside Manor months prior to our wedding. On our wedding day, a family member went to drop off our bags and explain that our wedding was taking place during normal check-in hours, making us unavailable for check-in ourselves. No special instructions were given, and no key was provided, so when we arrived at 1:30am and found ourselves locked out, we rang the bell. The woman who answered the door, Cathy, immediately scolded us for ringing the bell and not following proper procedure, and proceeded to be extremely condescending and rude to my wife (still in her wedding dress!) and I while begrudgingly showing us to our room. We decided to leave based on the extremely poor reaction, and admittedly by this time had become quite upset. When we returned the next morning to try and discuss our concerns, the same woman told us to leave the property or she would call the police! At no point in our discourse on the night of, or morning after, were we informed as to what it is that we should have done. I cannot believe that anyone in the hospitality industry would behave this badly to paying customers. There was a communication breakdown somewhere in the chain during the day, and while I can accept that we were unaware of Leaside's policies, I cannot accept the manner in which we have been spoken to. The rudest, least empathetic, humourless person I have ever met in many years of travel. We had an otherwise incredible wedding day, but Cathy at Leaside was just an utter and complete disappointment, to say nothing of insulting.
