Leavenworth Sleigh Rides

My family and I had an incredible time going for a horse drawn sleigh ride on the Santa Sleigh with two lovely horses who were brothers. Our driver Blake was very cordial and personable, sharing lots of great commentary on our ride. He is very gentle with the horses and they seem to be well taken care of. The horses move at quite a slow pace, so it was not frightening in any way. The forest is beautiful and peaceful. We stopped about half way through to have yummy cider and pet the horses. Blake took great pictures of our family with the horses. We continued on and got to see more of the property and the rental cabins , which are amazing. The lodge is rustic and homey and the small gift shop had quality items. The whole experience was flawless and we definitely plan on coming back. Thank you for giving us such a happy memory!

This activity is an 11/10! Zack was our trusty sleigh ride operator and he was GREAT at telling us about the area as well as the horses. He was also very nice and took lots of pictures for us along the way. The apple cider that is provided as part of the experience is absolutely spectacular!! I’d highly recommend this activity if you’re visiting Leavenworth in the winter. It’s seriously so magical and memorable!

I was traveling with my husband on a work trip and someone in Wenatchee recommended Leavenworth Sleigh Rides. I made the reservation online and unfortunately chose the wrong week. I noticed the error when I received the confirmation email (great communication). I called the Mountain Springs Lodge who runs the sleigh rides to see what could be done. They seamlessly transferred us to a booking that worked on our tight timeline (different size sleigh) and even refunded the difference in cost! The ride itself was a fun winter activity. I wished it was longer as, including the cider stop, it was about 45 min. My favorite part was the horses speeding up to make the hills. Beautiful scenery, good history of the property, entertaining driver and overall a good experience!

What an amazing experience. Our sleigh driver (Georgian dude) was amazing. Well informed, courteous with a great sense of humour. We had booked sleigh rides and after the ride got over I was surprised to see a refund of 20% credited back because they had to shorten the route due to less snow on certain parts of the track. Mind-blowing customer service. Don't miss it!

This was an absolutely incredible experience! The horses were majestic and sweet. The workers were so patient and thoughtful and fun. We had fresh falling snow on our ride, and it was magical. The stop for apple cider was so fun also! Highly recommend! The lodge is absolutely stunning also.

My family had a wonderful time. Our driver/guide, Blake, was funny and full of historical tid-bits. The horses were well behaved and well taken care of. I can't wait to come back to try their other activities, at other times during the year and the sleigh ride again next winter! I want to express that the expense is worth what you receive! As a horse person I understand the costs that go into maintaining the equipment needed to safely use the horses. But also the immense costs the horses themselves need! Feed, supplements, vet visits and so much more are needed MONTHLY to keep the horses happy and healthy. It is worth it!💜

This was a wonderful adventure. We got the last appointment of the day, so the ride went in at darkness and the moon and stars were bright enough to light things up fairly well. My pics won't do it justice, but we went just after Christmas so, some of the cabins on the property still had Christmas lights on them. Sorry if my pics are a little blurry, we were in motion most of the ride. The sleighs were a little bumpy but all in all, it was a great ride through the property. Our guide was charming and funny and very welcoming. She let our son go talk to and pet the horses after the ride. Our horses were Brooks and Dunn haha. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a casual paced tour, it's a great ride and the pace is great for relaxed viewing.

Our experience was excellent. Our mother suffers from extreme health issues and the staff went out of their way to ensure she was able to safely enjoy the sleigh ride. A sleigh ride in the snow has been on her bucket list for many years. We’re grateful she was able to complete that goal. In addition, the sunset timeframe was fantastic for this time of year. We got to enjoy the Christmas lights after sunset and it was lovely. Overall, great experience and would highly recommend.
