L'Éclair de Génie Café

Overrated. The eclair are ok but nothing better than an eclair from any bakery in France. Original yes, with lots of different flavours to pick from yes, but we’ve tried the small eclair 4 packs and it was dry with barely any cream inside. Disappointing. Service 0 as well, the lady was kind of rude, no staff was paying attention to us, it wasn’t busy and all of them were discussing until we arrived to order, they all stared at us while one was serving us. Just uncomfortable. I asked a couple of questions which were not answered nicely. Condescending even. I wouldn’t recommend. Just go to any boulangerie in Paris, small, not something you find on social media, and you’d be greatly served at half price the pastry. Prices are waaaay too high.

This place has an amazing atmosphere with great service. Best latte and Croissant we can have around. If you come please try their Eclair it is literally hands down, well balanced and different options.

It was a fun experience, there wasn't a big variety of eclairs but still we got 4 for 28€ and it was worth it! The waiters were so nice as well :) Merci

It’s one of the best croissants I’ve eaten in Paris. I especially recommend the raspberry croissant, there is a delicious filling inside which I loved very much! But also keep in mind that in mornings, there are lots of like so be prepared to take away the baked goods!

I would love to say that it was amazing (because I expected this) but unfortunately I can’t say that. The place is overrated and overpriced. Yes, the staff was nice, she took our order, she proposed to bring us some water (it was awfully hot outside) but we never got our water. The croissants are beautiful but not delicious, they weren’t crunchy so we think they aren’t fresh, baked not today for sure. Drinks were good, nice looking but again the price is 🤯 I expected more…

I tried the éclair at L’Éclair de Génie and it was absolutely amazing — the best I’ve ever had! The croissant was also incredible, everything was just perfect. The coffee was really good too. Highly recommend!

L’Éclair de Génie Café is an absolute gem! From the moment we stepped in, the elegant yet cozy atmosphere made us feel like we’d been whisked away to a Parisian patisserie. The éclairs are as beautiful as they are delicious—each one a masterpiece of flavor and texture. The coffee was rich and perfectly paired with our treats, and the staff was wonderfully attentive, adding to the delightful experience.

I went to try the viral croissant I saw on TikTok — I thought there would be a pistachio-stuffed croissant, but that wasn’t the case. I ended up getting the almond croissant, which was good, and the cappuccino was nice too. My friend tried the vanilla croissant — honestly, it was cold and pretty average. Overall, I think it doesn’t really deserve all the hype. It’s okay, but not as amazing as social media makes it seem.
