Google
Amazing service and wonderful food. As a Georgian, it was my first time trying a French breakfast, and the waiter was incredibly kind and helpful. I don’t remember his name, but I truly want to express my gratitude for his attention and care. Merci ❤️

Google
Fantastic food, and service. Stopped here after visiting the Eiffel Tower, it's about a 10 minute walk and we'll worth it. We had the specials, Sea Bass with ratatouille and Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon. Highly recommend.

Google
Had cheese board and steak at L'Éclair for dinner and really enjoyed it. Staff was kind and food was delicious. Priced right. Restaurant has lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Google
Went twice during our stay here! Once for brunch and for dinner. The servers are so kind, accommodating and attentive. Food obviously is delicious too. The burger is DIVINE! The brunch is so good too!

Google
Staff is always very friendly and very accommodating. Whenever in Paris we stay in the 7th and always go here for breakfast. Lunch and dinner are excellent as well. Owned by Fontaine de Mars group. All their restaurants are excellent... La Fontaine de Mars, L'alma. You won't be disappointed at any of them.

Google
clean, tasty, good pricing and polite staff. Definitely worth it

Google
Sunday night fish n chips have me a good case of food poisoning, 14 hours of … Although the restaurant “assured” me the fish was frozen, they said they would look into it and get back to me.. they didn’t. Everything tasted a bit off whether it be the fish, the tartare sauce or the greens. Friendly staff, but far forgotten after the night I spent.

Google
We actually ran into this Cafe on our last day in Paris just as it was about to start pouring down rain. And after being there for a while, we're very disappointed that we hadn't discovered it earlier in our trip. People were outstanding. Service was great. Food was very good. We had an omelette and the drinks were amazing as well. Highly recommend stopping here. We will definitely stop back by the next time we are in Paris.

Yelp
A very cute little spot on rue Cler with friendly service, good wine, and tasty food.

Yelp
We were looking for a quick brunch before sight seeing and this got the job done ! Decent prices and the food/drinks were great. A perfect option if you want to relax, people watch, and enjoy a Paris Brunch with friendly/fast service

Yelp
We had a short breakfast here. It is so quaint! Love the decor. The serive was fast and friendly! The crepes are good and so are the croissants- we're in Paris they kinda have to be, lol. Good price for a drop in breakfast.

Yelp
This is one of the best places we have visited in Paris. The staff both the waiter and the bartender were so kind, talkative, and inviting. We ordered the charcuterie board, fried mozzarella sticks, and burrata. All of the food was delicious. We also ordered the old fashioned, Mexican candy, long live the queen, munk sour, and amaretto sour. If you're looking for a cocktail bar to relax and talk, this is the place to be. Would highly recommend you come here while in Paris

Yelp
Excellent place to eat and relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is always great. Highly recommend coming here and enjoying both the food and the drinks.

Yelp
Quaint little cafe. Both outdoor & indoor seating. Waiter was excellent! Shared fish & chips, along with skewer of chicken- both came with salad. Some cold Coke Zero involved. All tasted great.

Yelp
Had a wonderful breakfast in this adorable cafe. We got the full breakfast with cappuccino, omelet, croissant or baguette and fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was absolutely delicious, and service was friendly, nice music playing. Perfect start to the day!

Yelp
This is a MUST visit restaurant, the wait staff was extremely professional- attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. This restaurant offers a wide selection of high quality meals that are prepared to perfection

Yelp
Cute bistro, super friendly service, and good food & drink. Came here originally because it was close to where we stayed and they were showing the rugby games, came again another night because we had such a good time there. They were very accommodating in seating our large family group of 10, and the owner/man in charge is super friendly and funny. He spoke Spanish, English, and French with us and when we came back referred to us as his "Spanish friends". They also served the best Aperol Spritzes we had on this trip- refreshing and not too sweet. Food was simple and tasty. Some things we tried: croque madame, pasta with chicken and olives, fish & chips, fish and vegetables, French fries, etc.

Yelp
Had a really nice lunch here. Service was wonderful. Coffee was tasty. Crepes with jam were so delicious and buttery. Onion soup was also amazing. Really nice vibes near the Eiffel Tower.

Yelp
My Sunday ritual is always a walk to Farmers Market to get coffee and goodies, it should be no different when in France. I decided I'd come to Rue Cler to partake in a similar Sunday morning to mine at home. I'd already had brekke and picked up a brioche suisse from a local bakery but snagged a table out front at L'Éclair to relax, grab a latte and people watch for a short bit. Service was great. I didn't order a cocktail but I'll surely be back in the near future and swing by for one.

Yelp
Drinks , food , and service was just incredible! This was our first meal here and it was exquisite ! First time trying escargot and they were just delightful will definitely recommend

Yelp
We stayed at an apartment on Rue Cler for 6 nights. I'm ashamed to say that we did not take advantage of L'Eclair until our 5th night. It was SO good we ended up returning for dinner our 6th night and breakfast the morning we left. The waiters were simply wonderful and took such good care of us. I wish I'd thought to snap more pictures. We had a salad with ham that was simply divine and the drinks were beyond fabulous. If we ever make it back to Paris, we will for sure visit L'Eclair again. Can't believe we traipsed all over the city trying various "it" places when we had this gem right across the street all along!

Yelp
Lovely terrace on Rue Clerc. Parisian style. Happy hour 5.30pm - 7.30pm Great Mai-tai's.

Yelp
Cute little place, the whole rue was very quaint. We had our last meal (brunch) in Paris here. Food was great, friendly service, ambiance was awesome too! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
This is the best croque monsieur I have ever seen or eaten. My mom got the croque madame and was in love with the flavors of it. I am very picky when it comes to fries, and these passed the test with flying colors. The size, color, taste, and warmth were so on point. The waitstaff was very kind and funny, making them a place I would love to go to again! I wish I could give them 4.5 stars - the only loss of half a star is that the smoking and non-smoking sections of the restaurant aren't terribly sectioned off. Luckily by the time we went to l'Eclair, we had been in France for a week and gotten used to the excess cigarette smell so it didn't bother us at this point. If we had gone earlier in our trip, it would have probably bothered us more.

Yelp
Great chocolate croissants, incredible apricot pistachio tart. Good double espresso with chocolate. Very friendly, good service, fair prices. Treasure!
google avatar

Yelp
Not for pregnant women or anyone who doesn't like smell of smoke. Food is average. People smoke inside. There is no separation between inside and outside.
google avatar

Francesca C.

Yelp
The sweetest waiters in all of Paris :) They were very personable and friendly and sent you off by personally handing you pieces of dark chocolate as a parting gift. The hamburger was super juicy and the fresh juices and cocktails are delicious. A very comfortable and enjoyable experience on an iconic street in Paris.

Yelp
Amazing vibe!! The ambiance was chill during lunch, and lit for after hours. David, our bartender was awesome. He greeted and sat us, and gave us a thorough run down of the menu. I went with his suggestions, and I CLEANED my plate. The other staff were great as well.

Yelp
After doing a walking tour. We stopped by Le Cler to get some lunch. Yelp had a bad rating but to our surprise- the food was really good. Had the flank steak - it was moist and great flavor. My wife's omelet was tasty. My son enjoyed his French version of a grilled sandwich. Servers spoke great English. Still confuse with tipping in France- as a custom in the US, we ended up leaving Euros.

Steve P.

Yelp
Great food and service. We ate here four times in our stay in Paris. Breakfast was fantastic. I loved the omelette and fresh orange juice. We will be back next time. The owner is a funny guy; always nice to be around someone with a sense of humor.

Yelp
This place was the perfect last dinner in France. The location along Rue Cler is great and the restaurant itself brings energy to a street that has all but closed down. The cocktails are creative and fresh. The service is fun and attentive. And the food is a great twist on classics. We enjoyed the squid rings, bacon cheeseburger, croque madame, crepes. They were out of the crème brûlée for the day. Our drinks were a monk sour (their take on a whiskey sour) and the Marie-galante, which was a delicious rum drink. I personally loved the decor and "feel" of the place. I highly recommend!

Jeff R.

Yelp
Decent bistro - had dinner here our first night in Paris. Food was pretty average to be honest. There are a ton of restaurants on the same street - check out the other ones / use this as a fallback to be honest.

John F.

Yelp
Came here on a whim as they were open late. Food was delicious; they had all the traditional French cuisine staples. We were told by the local patrons that we picked the best local spot! The escargot was delicious!

Yelp
Amazed I'd never posted about this place before! We had actually been previously but I obviously didn't think to post about it when we came to Paris the next time. We love sitting at the bar here and having some drinks and food, and everything we've ever had here is fantastic. This past time we came, we went for brunch on a Sunday, and had an amazing time chatting with a lovely French couple who live around Rue Cler and come here all the time. We had some sort of "Mexican Morning" drink that was made with tequila and blew me away - a few beers, too. For food, we had the bacon burger and Croque Madame (we have had the Croque Monsieur as well before) - everything was cooked perfectly. As many others have said, their Croque sandwiches are just delicious and very well done, you cannot go wrong. I love this spot! I'd come back here any time I'm in Paris, and I highly recommend visiting.

Yelp
We loved the ambience of this restaurant and as someone with Celiacs it was very refreshing to have a waiter who understood "without gluten" and knew about the disease. I ordered the chicken salad and it did not disappoint (which frequently tends to happen for me in foreign countries). The food was very flavorful and my family enjoyed theirs, too. My kids ordered the hamburger/cheeseburger and though I didn't take a picture they looked delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
3.5 stars -has the vibrant street cafe many want in Paris -service was good -if you don't like cigarette smoke, definitely be outside on the edge of the seating area. We sat inside and got a decent level of second-hand smoke from the terrasse seating. - our meals weren't bad, but the menu really didn't have much that got me excited. Very small menu.

Scarlett A.

Yelp
Pretty nice service. The place was PACKED but they seated us quickly without a reservation! The food is wonderful. I got the Croquet Madam and it was really good! I also tried the mozzarella sticks and they were SO GOOD. Overall, a 4/5 my only complaint is that it was really crowded!!
google avatar

Karie J.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at L'Eclair! The drinks and food were fab! Our server was fantastic! 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
What a wonderful stop for bread and pastry in Sceaux!! We loved everything we tried. Great story on an afternoon in Sceaux

Yelp
While on Rue Cler, we decided that with the in and off rain, we would scrap our plans of collecting a picnic to take to the park. We opted instead for brunch at L'Eclair. We were able to sit on the sidewalk with their awnings and have our brunch--a mushroom and chive omelet for me with a side of warm lentils, my husband had the croque Madame. Service was good, food was good. It was a nice and easy meal. A nice Saturday to be sure. As it turned out, the rain held off and we were able to walk the parks.

Yelp
Had a fantastic evening dinner here after a full day of sightseeing. We haven't had a croque madame in our trip until we arrived at L'Eclair and the wait was definitely worth it as we had found the perfect one. The egg was perfectly easy, the gruyere was impeccable, and the fries it came with were just the right amount of fried and salty. We also had the seared seabream on top of puréed potatoes that was an excellent dinner! You have a lot of options along Rue Cler, so I'd throw my hat for this one.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here at night and had such excellent food, drinks, and service. I had ordered steak and a berry candy drink and both were amazing! The sauce they served with the steak was so delicious I was having a foodgasm. I couldn't take a bite without saying yum!! The lady that served us was incredible! She helped us pick out our drinks and after helped us pick out dessert. We don't usually have dessert but since she told us about dessert and showed us she reeled us in. This is a perfect spot where locals come and it seems to always be poppin.

Yelp
We walked to the Rue Cler area based on some good reviews of the restaurants. It was a somewhat slow Sunday evening, so we had little trouble getting a table. Yann, the manager, was pleasant as we took a look at the menu, so we decided to give it a try. The four of us had a nice outdoor table, and Yann took care of us from there. We started with a charcuterie board and some Basque sardines. The board had 3 cheeses - goat, Brie, and a hard cheese... and 3 meats - a chorizo, a sausage, and an Iberian type ham. It was delicious as were the plump and savory sardines in olive oil. Our boys had fried mozzarella sticks and a bacon cheeseburger. Both were declared good, and the fries were nice and hot and crispy. We also had a beef tartare, which was a generous portion studded with capers. Various breads including the classic baguette accompanied several dishes. We also had a few cocktails from their very creative and interesting menu. My wife had a Daring Chloris drink that she said was very good. It had gin, rose syrup, soda water, and peppercorns. I had a Moscow mule that was presented in a nice silver cup with loads of crushed ice. Yann and his helpers were attentive and very friendly. The surrounding guests all seemed very happy and pleased with their service as well. There are lots of great choices on Rue Cler, but I would suggest you give L'eclair a try and ask for Yann!! You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Clean, friendly, homey, intimate, decently priced and a good value. The service really was very good natured, conversational, and accommodating. The food was hot and well presented and server went above and beyond. A very comfortable establishment.

Yelp
This was a wonderful spot for our first breakfast in Paris! We ordered the brunch prefix set menu on a Sunday and were delighted with our experience. We loved the fresh pear juice to start and the latte was simply marvelous! The omelet was fluffy and yummy. Since with menu says omelet with bacon/sausage/or salmon, we thought this would be mixed into the omelet but instead the meat & mushrooms were on the side. We enjoyed them, though! My husband got the sausage, which I liked even better than my bacon. It was so flavorful! The beans and potatoes are a great addition to the meal as well. The flavors were overall dynamite and we would highly recommend here for brunch! I love that the location is nestled between a nice gourmet food market and a flower shop, so you can grab some beautiful stems and snack for later after leaving. The service was good and our server spoke English after we greeted and asked in French. Even through they were packed on a Sunday we were able to get our foos very quickly. We would definitely go again!

Yelp
Ate here for our first meal in Paris and it was a perfect lunch to relieve our aching stomachs. It was also a cozy place to warm up! Our server was super friendly, speaking with us in English and asking us questions. But above all, the food was wonderful. I ordered the omelet fromage and my husband ordered the croque madame. Mine was the best omelet I've ever had. My husband's was equally scrumptious. We're hoping we'll get to eat here again while we're here.

Yelp
Back again after many years and it's even better than before. Friendly staff, great drinks & staff. The location can't be beat. I love Rue Cler and everything they offer here. Try the Italian montepuliano red wine. My favorite
google avatar

Ruth G.

Yelp
This place is super cute and has amazing service! The calamari and croquet madame were yummy. They also have fantastic French fries. The cocktails were delicious, as well! I'll definitely come again the next time I'm in Paris!
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
This was our first stop for food in Paris. Located on the famous Rue de Cler, we stopped in for dinner. The patio was full so we ate indoors and enjoyed the time and food spent together. Our servers were nice and spoke English while helping us to select great dishes. I went with the chicken stew served with a side salad and it was amazing. Very flavorful and filling. Definitely recommend stopping in. This is a place I would try more than once.
google avatar

Eva P.

Yelp
New favorite cocktail spot in Paris! Service was great and all the employees were so fun and friendly. The cocktails were amazing and unique. Just steps away from the Musée d'Orsay and Musée Rodin, making it the perfect post-museum spot! The decor is cute and chic. Definitely will be making a point to stop by every time I'm in Paris!
google avatar

Jill E.

Yelp
Fantastic place! Great location on a bustling street, good ambiance, great service, and great cocktails. The staff was nice too and spoke English pretty well. Note that other patrons smoking outside will drift into the bar so choose a table at the back if you can.
google avatar

Jasmine A.

Yelp
I loved it so much I ate here twice in 5 days and I was a tourist! Super friendly waiter/host, knew perfect english and checked in on you. I mostly ate here for breakfast but the view and ambiance on Rue Cler made it perfect for my taste.
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
My hotel was near l'Eclair during my recent trip to Paris, and I had breakfast here three times. Their omelettes, eggs, and croque madames were delicious. It's also a great spot to sit outside on the Rue Cler on a nice September morning. The French waiters were actually nice. I can't speak to the complaints about weak cocktails that others have made, but it's cute place to sit outside and have a cup of coffee.
google avatar

Jonelle T.

Yelp
Cute little cafe located right below our airbnb. We popped in every morning for takeaway cafe. I can't speak to their food, but the place was consistently busy throughout the day/night. Service was friendly and their espresso hit the spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Breakfast. Food was pretty great, service seemed slow. Great location and decor. Croque madam was amazing. Cheese, ham, egg and bread
google avatar

Yelp
While on our 1-week trip to Paris, L'Eclair ended up being our favorite spot for breakfast! It's a small cafe on the truly amazing Rue Cler! This is a fantastic place to stop off in the morning before picking up some essentials along Rue Cler. Each morning we both ordered the "De L'Eclair" which comes with choice of Coffee/Tea (try a cafè crème), Eggs (try them scrambled, really... it might change your life), bread choice (try the Croissant), and freshly squeezed Orange Juice (it's the best OJ I've had in many years)! A great bonus is that it's right next door to Davoli, which is one of the best food shops in all of Paris! Note: We visited in September 2016
google avatar

Alan K.

Yelp
Weak, overpriced cocktails. Avoid like the plague. I ordered the Scarface and the Sergeant Pepper. Aside from not tasting great, they were both extremely weak/watered down. I actually became more sober after drinking these. Not only could I have passed a field sobriety test, but I probably could have attained perfect scores on both the SAT and "So You Think You Can Dance."
