Interesting in that this historic home is still used by the Norwegian royal family on occasion. Understated and simple decor. Not really opulent by any means. The city owns it now, and it functions as a social event space. Sparsely furnished

A ticket here covers all 3 Estates, the Stavanger museum, maritime museum & canning museum. It's not bad for 140 NOK ($€£13.50 apx). There is a bit of a walk here from the city center, about 15 minutes with modest uphill climb.
I would recommend going here as your start to the 3 Estates after visiting the maritime museum & Stavanger museum.

Shame it is all shut up & no notices to say it will reopen - the building is lovely to look at from the outside but was more interested in looking inside. Such a shame because it is one of the stops on the hop on hop off bus. You don't need to get off the bus can be seen from the bus

Interesting place. A bit slow though. Not much activity.
