We had a great wine tasting experience! The lady at the counter my very nice and polite. The sweet wines were fun to try and we liked the Sacandaga Sunset the best and took a bottle each to go.

I recently attended a Winery in the Woods private event for my friend’s bachelorette party. We were warmly greeted by our driver/host, Kevin, who escorted our group by hay wagon to the secluded site in the woods. Every detail was perfectly curated from the impressive charcuterie board to the selection of wines. Our wine expert, Lynn, stayed to tell us about each wine, pour drinks and make us feel especially welcome. We had two guests arrive late and Kevin brought them by golf cart to meet our party. We also ordered food from Giuseppe's in town. Kevin brought the food to our site for no extra charge. Surrounded by a beautiful brook, rock ledges, a fire pit and nature, we had the perfect backdrop to celebrate our bride-to be. I highly recommend having Ledge Rock Hill Winery provide the setting for your next special event!

We had a great time doing a tasting here! I exclusively had the white wines for my tasting, but they were pretty good (generally a bit sweet). The tasting was very affordable, and the service was amazing! Such a cute place. Recommended!

Loved coming here for the first time! Theresa was AMAZING and so kind and helpful. She explained all the wines we were trying and answered every question we had! She made this experience special for my sister and I and made us feel at home! Super cute space indoor and out! And the wine was amazing, honestly. Can't wait to return.

A beautiful place, and by beautiful I mean the attention, the decoration, the ambiance. Live music, country, with excellent service. The girl who attended me was very, very professional and friendly. I particularly recommend the Sacandaca Sunset wine as a red wine and Melody as a white wine option. Thank you for such a beautiful experience.

Just visited Ledge Rock Hill Winery for this first time and I can only say WOW. This place has great ambiance and phenomenal wine. The experience was made even more pleasurable by the exceptional service we received from Bridget E, who from the moment we walked in treated us with the utmost customer care and enthusiasm. We will be marking this place down as a must stop for our next trip to Lake George.

The staff at Ledge Rock Hill Winery were amazing—so friendly and welcoming. The wine slushie was delicious and refreshing, and the inside and outside spaces were absolutely charming. Highly recommend!

9 of us came for a team building and had an awesome time! We did a sip and paint and it was fun from start to finish! Pam was super attentive and brought us refills as Julia led the instruction! Julia was super patient and repeated the steps! Was fun time considering none of us are true "artists"! Would highly recommend!

Have been to this winery several times in the summer and it is very special . About 25 minute drive from Saratoga springs , but a lovely drive. This winery is set in the woods , which is such a beautiful peaceful experience. There is live music on the weekends. The women who run it are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their wines and will even give you a taste before you order a glass. That is if you don't want the wine tasting option. You can sit outside in Adirondack chairs or inside, to look out at the woods and listen to the music. My preference is always outside!!! I mean it's beautiful and I can only imagine how amazing it would be in the Fall with all the colored leaves. They have limited food/ snack options which I thought were tasty . We had the crackers and olives which were perfect to snack on. I would recommend going. It's a wonderful relaxing afternoon.

I got drunk 3 years ago on a wine tour. Ledge Rock Hill was one of the wineries on that tour. I vaguely remember sampling the Sacandaga Sunset wine and liking it enough to take a picture of the bottle. Three years later, aka last week, I found my way back to ledge rock hill. The vineyard is gorgeous and picturesque. There's a rustic feel to the main house and I loved that the bathroom was literally an outhouse (with plumbing) which added to the outdoorsy Adirondack vibe. I was sober enough this time to try several wines, many of which I enjoyed. Some of which I didn't, but that's the great thing about wine tasting. No commitment. It's like tinder but with wine. Due to covid restrictions we had to make a reservation online and secure it with a 20 dollar deposit. No problem. We should up a few minutes late to our reservation (we got lost!) but everything was okay. The deposit was deducted from our bill. We brought 6 bottles of wine (5 of which were the sunset wine, 2 of which have already been finished). We also chatted with the vineyard owner which was really nice.

Took my girlfriend to this winery this summer. The wine was delicious, the staff inviting, and the setting was gorgeous. Beautiful view of French Mountain from outdoor tasting area. We will be back!

I don't want to give this a horrible review because I was not expecting much from "fruit wines from the Adirondack area". The ambiance leaves something to be expected - it's a small place set in the woods. To me, this is a bit of an odd place to do wine tasting but I tried to keep an open mind. The wines were not really "worth writing home to" If you order snacks, they come on paper plates. When you do a wine tasting, you can keep glasses (a plus?). There's an outhouse for bathroom and the area is not well manicured but there is an outdoor gas stove (fireplace) you can sit near and enjoy your wines and snacks. If you are trying wines, they are very un-complex... to the degree in which they all tasted watered down. the Sacandaga Sunset smelled a bit like Victoria's Secret body spray and tasted like juice.

My mom and aunt came here a few years ago and today I came back with my. Mom and grandma. I Was looking for a place to sit outside, in nature, to relax and maybe read a book or peruse a magazine. This was a perfect spot. It is a beautiful drive from lake George. The tasting room is beautiful and has a great view of the woods. The wines were all yummy (we only tried the dry wines). After our tasting we sat outside at the fire and had a glass of wine and relaxed for a while. It was a lovely spot!

Interesting winery and tasting bar whay whay whay up in the sticks. I was skeptical as the GPS took us further and further away from civilization and more more rural houses with bunches of broken down cars on its lawn. Patience was rewarded by a small cute cool tasting bar where we tried various wines in sampler flights. At $7 a tasting, it's really inexpensive and gives you enough tastes to cover a lot of the wines. We went during mid week, but can see how this place will be packed during busy summer season (Lake George crowd) and weekends. They have free crackers, but will sell small food plates as well. We brought some cheese and smoked meats, which they graciously allowed us to enjoy with the wine. Lastly, if you wanted it they will give you the tasting wine glasses afterwards. Pretty cool gesture and good PR. Bathroom is outside, a true outhouse. But super clean and not sketchy at all. Enjoyable stop, good place to visit if you are in the Lake George area and want to do something reasonable and fun.

I was not sure what to expect after we got done driving up the windy, steep gravel road and landed at a tiny log cabin. It was either going to be someone's basement or a classy joint. Thankfully it was a one way entrance on the way up. Fancy little outhouse on the hill... if you are opposed to exterior restrooms, you'll have to hold it. The bar was immediately there as you enter a larger back room with multiple round top tables, Adirondack fashion. To our surprise there was live music, a young lady who played many covers and did well. My only complaint regarding the music was that it was very loud. It must not be a bother to most because it was a full house and most there were to see her play. Chrissy was very friendly, knowledgeable and honest about the wines. I could do without the other woman who never bother to say hello while she hung out front texting. It took almost an hour to get through six tastings... which i understand because she was busy attending many other tables. $7 for six hearty pours and a glass. Great value. The wines... the Chardonnay I would highly recommend as we purchased a bottle. Clean, dry and very pleasant. Again, my only suggestion would be for the whites and fruits to be more chilled. The red Zinfandel I could do without as it was my least favorite. Very peppery and I didn't get any of the plum. The Marquette and Merlot were full bodied with great cherry and plum flavors... I also tried the kiwi pear which I was told was a fan favorite. To smell, I was discouraged but the flavor delivered a very sweet taste. I couldn't do a glass, but I'm not sorry I experienced. I also went out of my comfort zone and tried the sunset which was sweet as expected, but not over powering. I could have a glass of that and I don't like sweet wines. The apple was also very crisp, slightly sweet and delicious. So, I would recommend them but if it's busy, I hope you have a hot minute and Chrissy.

This little charming winery is worth the drive. The wines are unique, as are the pairings with meets and cheeses. We tried the dry wine sampler, then enjoyed a couple glasses while listening to birds chirping. The employees were very knowledgeable about the history of the wines and each of the vintages. BTW, social distancing and current COVID-protocols were followed. We visited at the start of Phase 3 for the region. Our indoor table was at least 6 feet from other tables, the store employees wore masks, and there was plenty of ventilation.

Wonderful winery! We have gone for a few years now and each time it's wonderful. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. Ledge Rock has a great deal on Groupon for a wine and cheese pairing for two. Highly recommend this. For a wonderful Adirondack experience, stop in and see Gary and his staff you won't be disappointed!

Great ambience for a winery. We did wine tasting and bought a couple of bottles as well. The service was great and it looks like a great Adirondack, cabin setting with a fireplace to drink some wine and relax. We missed it, although it seemed like they often have a local musician come in and play some music.

My boyfriend and I are new to the area and are delighted to have found this place. Its quaint and rustic with a rather large selection of wines that are very unique. We have been there twice and loved it!

Although I grew up on Long Island, NY, where wineries are plentiful, my first wine tasting was done while on a two week lake vacation in the Adirondack/Lake George region of upstate New York. What a pleasant and fabulous experience it was at the Ledge Rock Hill Winery in Corinth, NY! This spot is a gem! In addition to its charm and attractiveness, it is especially enjoyable because of the intimate setting, and the friendliness and knowledge of its owners. For just $5 one can taste 6 of their wines. Also included in the price, are wonderful wine crackers that one can munch on either to satisfy hunger, or for their intended purpose, cleansing the palate between tastings. I have had such wine crackers/nuggets before, but these are particularly tasty. Also available for purchase are small Italian meat and cheese platters or Chocolate truffle platters. We enjoyed the Italian Platter, and bought a box of truffles and wine to enjoy at home. The wine is very good, particularly a red Marquette. I should have paid more attention to the specific names of all the different wines, but I did not. Every wine I tried, or those tried by my friends, was wonderful. I heard the Chardonnay was very good, as was the Cayuga, another white wine. One thing I must say is that the tasting portions are scant. According to my friends, this is the smallest amount of wine they've been given during a tasting anywhere, so perhaps knocking off a half star for that, may be appropriate. I decided on the red Marquette for purchase and for a full glass at the conclusion of the tasting. I loved it, as did my hubby. It was our personal favorite and I believe it is their best seller. I highly recommend this charming winery as a way to spend a leisurely afternoon. It is very modern, yet quite rustic. You will love it!! When one is at a winery in a remote area of anywhere, bathroom facilities are always a concern. Don't worry, Ledge Rock Hill has you covered. The most charming "Out house" is located just outside the main building (it is really a full bathroom with all the modern conveniences one is accustomed to finding in a public restroom) disguised as a privy.) And, by the way, it is scrupulously clean too!

Drove here 30 min from Saratoga Springs because we purchased a groupon for a wine/cheese/chocolate tasting for two. We booked our tasting ahead of time, so we thought they would be prepared, right...? When we arrived, I asked to use the restroom. The woman at the small bar up front said that they only have one restroom-- a little outhouse in the parking lot-- and it was out of service. She provided the excuses that they scheduled a sewage pumping for tomorrow, and a large group did a tasting this morning. Still, especially if you run a winery in the middle of nowhere, not having a restroom for customers is completely unacceptable. Then the woman told us she ran out of souvenir glasses, which were supposed to be included in the groupon. She said she would take "a dollar or two" off our bill if we decided to buy a bottle of wine-- but honestly, we should have been compensated with an additional wine sample each, or more cheese/chocolate. As we each selected our 6 wines, there was a THIRD disappointment: they ran out of chocolates. The woman did not seem concerned. She called the owner but he didn't pick up his phone and she refused to go up the hill to his house. It took her around 10 minutes to come up with a suitable solution: opening a box of the chocolates boxed for sale. The wines themselves were good, but quite expensive. Along with the wines, we tasted two types of hard cheese (four thick slices each), the four chocolates, and crackers. This part of the tasting was nice, but somewhat tainted by a garrulous customer who imposed upon our intended couples' outing. Left empty-handed because we were ready to end a bad experience. In any case, we didn't feel like the wine quality justified the price.

This was really a lot of fun. Very laid back. You can sit and enjoy the tasting with a nice meat and cheese late or a chocolate And cheese plate. You can take your time and relax, nobody tries to rush you. Our group ranged from 29 to 94 and a good time was had by all!

We (group of 14) came to the Winery for a birthday party. It is located in a very rural, out-of -the way area and I am sure is very nice during late spring/summer/fall. The building was a very quaint and nice wood-tone (and it has a really nice outhouse!). When we got there, our group took over the back room and continued to drink a lot. Instead of us having a wine tasting, we turned it into our own private wine bar with cheese. I am sure it would have been more of a traditional wine tasting experience if we came with a more normal sized group not trying to party. All in all though, Gary (wine maker and owner I think) took pretty good care of us and made it a very nice time, even if no one really knew what was going on. They could have had things a bit more organized. If you come, try to not come with more than 5-6 people - the location is not suited for it.

Great place, very comfortable and relaxing out door Adirondack chairs, peaceful, sunny day! Wine was wonderful, music great, good time had by all! Waitresses could not do enough for us!

Good wine in a nice scenic location. They also seemed to play close attention to the food selection and even though its limited the cheese and chocolate was delicious.

My 1st time to a Winery for wine tasting. My cousin's boyfriend booked a private party on a Sunday in their back room for about 14 ppl @ 3pm. We sampled 6-7 wines I will post a picture of a custom menu selection they type a special title for her birthday & date . They obviously have different cheeses, Meats & crackers w/ chocolate truffles. Everyone got to take their wine glass home that has the name of the winery etched into it & they wrap them up for us. It's not a huge place VERY cute, cozy BUT you can't book a large party probably not more than 20. Has adorable outhouse outside, everything is Log Cabin feel & building as well w/ deck on front w/ benches. It cost $15 per person & they let the birthday girl she is one of the bottles of wine on the menu as a gift. Tasting party was about 1 & 1/2 hr. We had our phones to take pictures with a camera and they actually were very helpful and gathered us in front of the huge Winery especially if I can work for us. They sell all the ones here plus others everyone was very polite, helpful. Very easy to get to. We were coming from out of state but had booked a hotel room and Saratoga Springs and it was very easy to get to from there.

What a wonderful hidden gem! This winders is a bit off the beaten path but is a beautiful local production with the kindest owner and staff. Scott was our bar tender for the tasting and we had so much fun! He probably didn't expect a group of 4 to come in discussing what makes something a "ruin" or something simply "old." Nevertheless he kindly and knowledgeably walked is through the wines, answering any questions we have. We left with multiple bottles of wine and will be back for more!

My wife and I stopped in by accident. This place absolutely made our day. A total surprise. Award winning wines, great feel, friendly ownership and attention to detail all in the middle of the Adirondacks. Who knew!?! We bought three bottles and I should have bought a case. We will definitely be back again. I can't say enough without spoiling the surprises of this little gem in the woods. Most definitely worth the trip. Don't forget to ask Gary how the place was built ;)

My wife bought a groupon for this place so we took a ride into the woods and found this gem. Very nice ride into the country and the Adirondacks, winery signs mark the spot and you drive up a dirt road and turn left and see a beautiful rustic wood lodge that is Ledge Rock Hill Winery. We went inside to a quaint bar and met Corrina the friendly server, seating inside also for larger parties. see photos. Gary the friendly owner brought out some truffles and the best gouda cheeses we have ever had made by Jakes Goudas, my favorite the aged Gouda went so well with the wines. We sampled 12 as my wife and I share plus a special treat not yet bottled by Gary. We both liked the Sacandaga Sunset and the Traminette wine as well as all the selections we tried,sweets and dries reds and whites. We bought a bottle of our favorites,the Traminette we drank last night on our deck with the aged Gouda we also bought. So good together. We so enjoyed our all to brief stay, We will be bringing friends back up or at the very least taking a ride back up. They do ship and also do the Glens Falls and Warrensburg farmers markets. Thank you both for an enjoyable outing, and thanks to my wonderful wife for finding them.

Wonderful. Everything you want in a winery. It was a beautiful drive in the Adirondack mountainside. Gary our host is a twenty year veteran in winemaking. He also made much of the decor and furniture which makes you feel like you are in a cozy adk mountain cottage. The whites are nice and familiar with the Chardonay offering a dry fruity taste. The reds are outstanding. Rambling more of a nice California red. Favorite was the Malbec which offered a peppery oak flavor that woke up my palette. We came home with a bottle of Marquette which is made of a percentage of grapes grown at the winery. The tasting rooms were open with barrels of reds and kettles of whites fermenting in the room. We are going to recommend this tour to all of our friends and family. Tasting includes a souvenir wine glass for $6.00. The wine making expertise is included.

We were a group of 11 that stopped at the winery. It is a lovely small winery with delicious wine tastings. $6 for 6 tastings from a choice of 12 wines. All were delicious!

The winery is nestled up into the woods not too far from Lake Sacandaga. Which makes it very convenient. The building isn't large, but is big enough to host 50 people. The wines are very tasty. I happen to like the Sacandaga sunset. It has a nice reserved fruity dry taste to it. It complements most dishes. We like to pop open a bottle while relaxing on our dock on the lake. :)

I have had the good fortune to receive some Ledge Rock Hill wine from friends during the holidays.This past Christmas, we opened a bottle of Merlot, and really enjoyed it. Then the Marquette...one really nice bottle of wine. I got to thinking...wouldn't it be great if the local, upscale wine shop in my home town could stock some Ledge Rock Hill wine? I'm working on it! It would be a wonderful get-away to the Adirondacks to have the opportunity to try all of their wines. Could be a great summer weekend trip. I'm working on that too!

This was my first time here and I will be back!! Did a Groupon for 2 for the tasting with chocolate and cheese. The place is perfect for a casual afternoon tasting wines. We each were able to choose 6 from the sweet or dry offerings. Super friendly staff. The drive up was beautiful!! Try it!! You'll like it!!!

Great winery with a great owner (Gary). Its an up and coming winery with a lot of potential. Its a developing environment so patience is due but the wines are very enjoyable. I enjoyed the chardonnay, noir and cab sav. Nice environment and i encourage the visit.

Over the years, I have enjoyed tasting a variety of their wines and find the taste to be consistently delicious!

It was a typical Adirondack Mountain rainy Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2013, when my friend and I visited the Ledge Rock Hilly Winery. After tasting 6 wines, we decided the Green Apple Blanc was to our liking. Gary and his staff treated us royally and their knowledge of the wines only enhanced our tasting. I highly recommend visiting the quaint winery for you will not be disappointed. When traveling I truly enjoy sampling local wines. Gary, I wish you every success with your winey and look forward to visiting you again when I'm on the "Mountain".

My party of 4 had a wine and cheese tasting Saturday, August 31. We each had a Living Social certificate. We were staying at our family camp in Sacandaga about 25 minutes away. All four of us agreed that it was a really wonderful way to spend an afternoon. We got lucky since the four people at the bar at the front of the house were just leaving as we came, so we had the bar all to ourselves. Our certificate included 6 tastings, cheese, fruit and 2 souvenir wine glasses. A great deal! There is a relatively large room in the back with several high top tables. It seems to get quite loud there, so we were happy to be out front. The wines were quite tasty, and Gary was really personable. Our hostess was a lot of fun, but I wished she was a little more knowledgeable about the wines. All in all, it was a great time, and we will go back.

Had a very enjoyable visit to the winery. The setting is very "Adirondack" so that means it's rustic and beautiful. We had two people taking care of our wine tasting. Both Gary (owner) and the other man were very helpful and accommodating. Bonus - The wine was quite good. We bought 3 bottles to enjoy at home.
