Ledson Hotel

"Remarkably, this hotel in California’s wine country feels as historic as its nineteenth-century neighbors—the landmark Sonoma Plaza, which it fronts, and the Sonoma Mission, one block away. From the inlaid-walnut floors to the ornate dentil molding, every painstaking detail recalls the era of Edith Wharton. Hotel owner Steve Ledson, known locally for the lavish 16,000-square-foot Gothic castle he designed and built for his winery’s headquarters, cut no corners in this six-room inn. The brick-thick beveled-glass doors to your private balcony hermetically seal out street noise, and pulling back the weighty silk drapery and duvets actually takes some muscle. Touches of modernity include in-room whirlpool tubs, chandeliers on dimmers, and the Zina Hyde Cunningham tasting room, where you can load up on some premium vino."

Absolutely beautiful, quiet, romantic boutique hotel with an excellent location on Sonoma Plaza within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The GM Brandon was extremely helpful with everything from restaurant and wine recommendations to transportation. Alex provided an excellent wine tasting for us on the lovely front patio; she was knowledgeable about the Ledson wines and the family’s history. Housekeeping staff were polite, professional, friendly and kept our room clean and tidy. We will be visiting the Ledson Hotel again in the future and highly recommend it for couples traveling to Sonoma, CA.

My husband and I stayed at the Ledson Hotel this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was my favorite hotel we've ever stayed in and it's the perfect location in Sonoma. The entire hotel is beautiful, as was our room. There is so much character and attention to detail throughout this hotel, it is really something to see. Our room had a balcony overlooking Sonoma Plaza, which was a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. The bathroom itself was very spacious and comfortable as well. |I also have to acknowledge the staff at the hotel and in Zina Lounge. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. The whole experience was perfect, and I can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay at the Ledson and could not recommend it enough! The location was 10/10, right on Sonoma square with so much to do. The rooms were spacious with large beds and we loved the balconies (stayed with another couple). We took advantage of the free tastings at both the Ledson winery and the Zina Lounge and they were both incredible with great service. Brandon, the general manager was so helpful and responsive and was great on our day of wine tasting- thanks for making our time so magical. We can wait to visit again, thank you!

Lovely visit. Peaceful surroundings. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Can sometimes get a good deal if discounts are available. Lovely surroundings to go for a little stroll after lunch. Silly that they have a 200 minimum word count to give a review!!

I cannot think of a negative thing to say about The Ledson. Check-in was very easy. We were slated to arrive around the time that the front desk closes, but Brandon waited a few extra minutes to check us in personally. However, had we missed it, he would have just provided the code for a lock box that was easily accessible. Kristin was also amazing and provided me with phenomenal suggestions on tasting rooms and shopping on the square. The complementary tasting downstairs is a fantastic perk! The location was unbeatable with convenient parking in the back. The entrances to the rooms are separate from the tasting room, so we did not feel like we were walking into a business. This was easily the most beautiful room we've stayed in. The historic details in the room seem to be original and are perfectly maintained. At the same time, modern amenities made us comfortable, like well-functioning AC, a picture TV with access to streaming services, and fluffy robes and towels. Considering the cost of nearby hotels, the little extra that you spend here is well worth it. We will absolutely be returning.

Wonderful location on the Sonoma Square. Amazing experience. Best bed ever! Couldn’t be happier. We could walk to everything. Great wine and ambiance in the late afternoon. Thank you! We will be back on our next trip to Sonoma or to the wine country.

It was a wonderful stay. It is a small 6 room hotel on Sonoma Square. So easy for walking to dinner or anyone of the 60 plus tasting rooms within a few blocks. They do have a lobby with wine tastings from approx. 11-4 during our stay. The weather was so nice and the hotel so relaxing (each room has a fireplace and jacuzzi tub). We asked if our room was available for one more night? Success we added a day! Rob and Brandon the two hosts were funny and very enjoyable to spend time with. I would highly recommend this for a nice quiet getaway.

We loved this small hotel with just 6 rooms. The room was large and beautifully appointed with a large marble bathroom, jacuzzi tub, marble fireplace, balcony, high ceilings and wood floors. We love the architectural elements of both the room and the facility with beautiful woodwork, marble, and inlaid wood floors. The bed was great, as were the linens. All in all, a classy, romantic getaway and good value. Our rate also included a free wine tasting in the tasting room downstairs. The wines were excellent.

Yelp
Another amazing experience at Zina Lounge. Came here to celebrate the completion of moving my parents from the valley to Benicia. Came with friends who helped our parents with the monumental task. Brandon made us feel so welcome and another great memory was made. Thank you, Brandon, for taking such good care of us!

Yelp
We did not stay at the hotel, but there is a lounge downstairs with a fireplace and comfortable seats to taste wine. They serve wines by the glass and also wine flights of Ledson Winery wines. We did a quick road trip to Sonoma Square where we walked around and we saw this inviting space and went in and had a glass of wine in front of the fireplace. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon to do this.

Yelp
My wife and I had a great wine tasting experience with Alex. She is absolutely amazing. As a matter of fact we come by here every time we visit Sonoma. This is third visit. The wine is amazing but Alex is marvelous. Stop by and see for yourself. Rickey

Yelp
Amazing location, and the detail on the woodwork and flooring is museum quality. I was very close with Witby Ledson, Steve Ledsons uncle. This place is a fine representation of Sonoma then and now, demonstrated through the eyes and heart of a family of actual wine makers. This is an experience to enjoy. If you can get "Williams Room" it's worth it. I recommend going either in late February so you can view the mustard growing between the vines. Or late September when the air starts to cool and the aroma of the "crush" of grapes fills the air. 5 star. Can't go wrong staying here.

Yelp
25th Anniversary Hubz surprised me with a two night stay at Ledson Hotel and I'm SOOOOOO glad that he did! Why is Ledson Hotel a great place to stay? Let me count the ways.... 1. Boutique hotel: (6 rooms) attention to detail with the accommodations. Old world styling with modern build. High ceilings, jacuzzi tub, and balcony for two. Never heard the other guests! 2. Overlooking Sonoma Square: Perfect vantage point to watch people coming and going around the city center. 3. Perfect sleep! No town noise during sleeping hours. 4. Bed was SO comfortable! 5. Zinna Lounge is downstairs and ideal for a wine tasting! Ledson was the first Wine Club we joined. Love every wine they make! 6. Adjust temperature of the room quickly with the gas fireplace or the spot on hvac system! 7. Terrific bakery next door for morning coffee and treats! 8. Walk to dinner since being on the Square, a wide variety of restaurants are easily within walking distance. Thank you Brandon and Team Ledson for a wonderful stay. We look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Definitely the best hotel experience in Sonoma Square. I'd give it 5 stars based on the views from the room alone. It overlooks the square and I enjoyed every minute on the patio of the room. The room itself is amazing because it's as if you're staying in a restored hotel from a fancy town back in the old west. The best description is it felt like Saint Denis in RDR2 for the folks who game. I can't decide what my favorite part of the room was.. the bathtub was huge, the bed comfy, the furniture felt plush and high end, I could go on and on. The lobby area is cozy as well with both indoor and outdoor seating areas including a fireplace and bar seating. Definitely worth spending more for the experience, location and comforts. They even have a wine club you can join that affords you discounts on lodging. Pros: Pretty much everything, location, quality and unique experience Cons: Nothing comes to mind

Yelp
Okokok so it's June 7, 2021, and we're enjoying a scenic tasting in Healdsburg at a well respected winery with multiple wines and gorgeous views. The longer we sit here the more we miss a friendly and joyously interactive tasting experience with EXCELLENT wines at Ledson Hotel. Ask for Brandon! I was serious in my previous review when I recommended cloning Brandon. This upscale winery in Healdsburg needs about 10 Brandons!! Why not make it a dozen?! Our group of 10 were rapidly losing interest in staying a minute longer at the upscale winery because although we were all seated at a table in the shade on their patio, the wine selection was not tasty enough to distract everyone from the heat and the so so experience. Now our group of 10 consisted of family members visiting for the first time since COVID began 14 months ago. We were celebrating our niece's graduation all weekend and wine tasting together on Monday was the agreed upon great way to wrap up a celebratory weekend! This experience needed to be memorable in a GREAT way and it simply wasn't happening. What to do, what to do.... Instinctively I reached out to the person who has consistently provided us with EXCELLENT wines to taste, great detail about the wines, AND great laughs: Brandon at the Ledson Hotel on Sonoma Square! The time was 1:30pm and we were an hour away so if Brandon couldn't help us.... stay positive and call Brandon. Glad I did because once Brandon heard of the plight of our experience and that we were an hour away, Brandon unhesitatingly said, "Come on over!" One hour later our group was settling in at the Ledson Hotel. First time for us to enjoy a tasting indoors and it was perfect! Plenty of room, inviting surroundings, comfy seating, cheerful natural lighting and we were welcomed with open arms and a friendly smile by Brandon. We were home! Evidently word got out and soon all of the other tables filled up with visitors ready for some great wine. Brandon made tending to each group seem effortless, as the great ones often do, to keep everyone happy, questions answered, and wine to enjoy! We sipped wines and made note of our favorites. We laughed until we cried. We purchased our favorites. Soooo happy to have been able to save the day for our group! Great family shared memories were made! This was so important to do because this was the first tome we all were together since COVID began 14 months ago. Until cloning becomes legal, approved, and reliable we will schedule more #MondayFundays with Brandon at the Ledson Hotel on Sonoma Square. We recommend that you do the same!

Yelp
Well, it was just OK because: - nothing great about decor or rooms. Thank the heavens they had an elevator to get to 2nd floor. Parking was very good - The room we had arranged for had no TV or phone the first 1.5 days. it was the weekend and 'techy' was not available. Remember it only has 10 or so rooms. Not the Marriott. - DO NOT Let the staff make tasing reservations for you UNLESS you specify or ASK what the tasting fee is. Manager (I guess he was) made 3 reservations. 2 were OK, the third was at B-Wise. $100 EACH for tasing what was good but not $200 worth good. Manager did eliminate 1 night room charge (covered the $200) but it was shocking at the time of tasting and ruined the experience. WE agreed WE goofed too and did not ask before going or before tasting. WINO BEWARE!!.

Yelp
When looking for a place to stay in Sonoma or Napa, no need to book anywhere else but the Ledson Hotel. Ledson Hotel is the quintessential hotel for luxury, comfort, and service in Wine Country. From the moment I entered the lobby to entering my hotel room (I stayed in the Noble room), I was filled with astonishment with the grounds and décor that was a perfect blend of modern luxury beauty and old-world charm. During my stay, I felt at ease and as comfortable as if I were relaxing at my own home. The photos online do not do this hotel justice as the hotel is even more impressive in person. If there is a word that best defines Ledson Hotel it would be "wow". Maggie Walker, the general manager showcased service that is epitome of "white glove" service. Maggie is a Certified Concierge and a Sommelier who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfect. For example, I had trouble booking a table for six at a nearby restaurant, so I asked Maggie to assist. Not even by the end of the hour, Maggie called me to inform me that the reservation was taken care of. Maggie is even capable of creating an impeccable itinerary should you accept Maggie's offer. Every recommendation Maggie had during our stay was spot on. While restaurants and bars surround the hotel, you would be remiss to skip out on the complimentary wine tasting at the Zina Hyde Lounge located in the lobby. Maggie was also our wine consultant and the wine tasting experience was laid-back, educative, and exquisite. Maggie has great knowledge of the wines and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stories and the history behind every award-winning wine. I will certainly be back as you have made me feel special. Thank you Maggie Walker and Ledson Hotel for the spectacular experience and hospitality.

Yelp
Beautiful location with a cozy fireplace. The wine was great but Rob really made it an exceptional experience. He was so knowledgeable and kind. Excited to visit again!

Yelp
Wonderful place on the plaza. We were able to walk right up and taste a flight of 6 for $40 ( great deal). Maggie was amazing and the hotel lobby was cute. We'll be back!!

Yelp
Because of Rob Schott the Ledson wine room was by far the pinnacle of our trip to Sonoma. Rob encouraged us to come in earlier in the morning and showed us around where we were blown away at the aesthetic of the lobby and Rob's genuine hospitality and warmth. It is clear that this wine bar is not a job for Rob but a lifestyle. Rob told us we had to come back and offered to reserve the table in front of the fireplace. The wines were the best we tasted on this trip and they were in the mid 90 point range. Everything about this place shouts EXCELLENCE, everything. To top off our experience three women stopped in after closing and Rob offered to give them a taste because they were visibly disappointed. All of us ended up having a great time as Rob efficiently did his last chores. It was efficient and kind and sublime. This guy has a magical way about him. When it comes to design excellence I am not a guy in a diner just spouting off. I have designed award winning design and energy efficient homes. The devil is in the details. The day before I drove by and remarked to my wife, " look at the condition of that old hotel, what a renovation. This was only to find out that Steve Ledson built it in 1999 to look antique. Mission accomplished. The interior is equally impressive. The guest rooms are just perfect too, Rob had one empty room and was able to give us a tour. Ledson did not miss a trick, even the bathrooms have his and hers marble sinks. If we ever come back to Sonoma we will stay no place else. The only thing we missed was to personally meet Mr. Ledson to thank and congratulate him for excellence in every aspect of his master work. Wine, architecture, interior design, employment and Rob's cordial hospitality and interest in us personally.

Stephen B.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ledson Hotel. So many terrific things to point out: Above all, the staff (Rob and Michelle) were so friendly and helpful and truly made us feel like we were visiting with old friends. Rob was so personable and accommodating with his knowledge of the area, the hotel, the wines and the history. He even got me to join the wine club (which I hadn't planned on doing)! The hotel itself was lovely. The builder (Steve) did an incredible job of creating an old world feel with a modern design. As a real estate developer myself, I appreciated the attention to detail. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the room was a master stroke! In addition the details, such as the inlaid wood and classic light fixtures, added an elegance that we did not expect. We also loved the lobby. As it was cold and rainy for much of our stay, the lobby fireplace was the perfect spot for relaxing and having a glass of your excellent wine! All in all we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We really felt like we were in the right place at the right time. We look forward to returning soon.

Yelp
Cutest hotel in the absolutely best location in Sonoma! Found this as we spontaneously toured around the area. Booked online and were shocked to discover on arrival that we were right on the beautiful Sonoma Square. Charming new building, created in a period style. Our room's balcony overlooked the square and had a jacuzzi tub which we thoroughly enjoyed. Many shops and restaurants were just steps away. Continental breakfast was served in the large downstairs bar/dining room. Owner was lovely and gracious. Wished we had arrived earlier the night before for their food and wine pairings. Next time! Highly recommend this quaint and lovely hotel in the heart of Sonoma.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The bar is fun and the staff are extremely friendly. The bartender Jonathan is very attentive and super knowledgeable. We've been to the winery several times and always are amazed by the knowledge of everyone and we got to continue the family history lesson here. Maggie the GM contacted us before our stay to get our plans and to make sure we were taken care of. We were led to our room (which was incredible by the way) and shown all the amenities of which we used all of them. The window overlooked the Town square and was absolutely gorgeous. We were given recommendations for dinner and they even offered to book reservations for us. This is absolutely five stars and a really great place to stay if you're in Wine country.

Yelp
This is a higher end place. Beautiful boutique hotel, location is perfect right on Sonoma square, rooms are elegantly decorated and lobby area is nice place to chill out by the fire. I didn't particularly care for their wines, but the company and service was good.
google avatar

Ranjan P.

Yelp
So so so charming, such a gracious little--and I do mean "little"--only six total rooms--boutique hotel, reminiscent of a bygone era. Gracious hospitality and beautifully decorated rooms, each one named after a different family member: ours was 'Williams Room.' They went the extra mile with thoughtful little touches such as putting two extras chairs because we called ahead to inquire about their seating due to my having a bad back. The rooms evoke an old world grandeur, gorgeous chandeliers and opulent luxurious bathtub in the room itself. A parking lot in back other building, steps away and an elevator for those of us with difficulty of stairs. You cannot beat the location: it's central to absolutely everything, and directly across from the beautiful lush green park, that begs for a picnic. I loved our little balcony with two tiny chairs and and equally small table, overlooking palm trees floral beds. Words do not do this justice, which is why I'm uploading a bunch of photos. Did I mention how wonderfully quiet and peaceful it is? Heavenly, not having to withstand street noise, though I don't know about rooms elsewhere the hotel. The cost per room is more than reasonable, not gouging at all, and the customer service from everyone was on point.
google avatar

Kristy C.

Yelp
Lovely boutique six-room hotel right on the square. Manager Todd was friendly and helpful. Although this hotel looks over 100 years old, it was built less than 20 years ago. The attention to detail is obvious from the wood floors, woven rugs, and crown molding, to the crystal glassware and light fixtures. Coffee and pastries are available each morning.
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
Just spend two wonderful nights here. Stayed in Barkers room. Loved it! Room was quiet and very nice. Very much enjoyed the decor. Such a great location to enjoy the square. Never needed my car. Tons of restaurants, shops, wine tasting all within walking distance. Angel was super friendly and provided excellent customer service. Downstairs is the wine tasting which I enjoyed one afternoon. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Yelp
We have been to this hotel before and I rated them 5 stars then. We went back and this time, our experience was terrible. We stayed in a room called Edna and the room needs a lot of maintenance work. The light above the shower stall was out so we had to take a shower in the dark both days we were there. We notified the staff but they told us the maintenance person is gone so they will change the bulb the following day. We left early at 8:00am so we never saw the maintenance person. There were other issues I would like to point out. We bought some food and kept it in the refrigerator not knowing that the fridge was not working properly. The boxes of food were all soaking wet because the refrigerator was leaking. The faucet in the sink in the bathroom was loose and not bolted properly so when you turn on the hot water, the whole faucet moves around. You pretty much have to use both hands. One to hold down the faucet and the other to turn it on. The TV and phone was not user friendly so we had to call the staff to show us how to operate it. I suggest having instructions on how to operate these devices to help the clients. The great thing we had going was the staff were friendly.

Susan E.

Yelp
I had a great experience going in for an afternoon wine tasting. It was quiet and I had a nice visit with Maggie as I sipped my wine. I wanted to give it a try and I'm very glad that I did!

Yelp
Absolute luxury. Stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon in October 2016 and this place was fabulous. My wife booked it and I knew going into it it was going to something special because my wife likes nice things and wow was I blown away. This place is absolutely spotless. The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in in my life. We had the Winslow room which was just breathtaking I can't say it enough. Angel at the hotel is a gem. He sat down with us and showed us some great vineyards we should visit, which roads to avoid during certain times, etc. I will be back to this hotel anytime my wife and I come to Napa valley.

Matthew K.

Yelp
This is the perfect hotel for a romantic wine country getaway. The rooms are lovely with great features including a fireplace and nice bathtub. The hotel is right on the Sonoma square with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and tasting rooms a short walk away. And easy to explore the rest of Sonoma County and even parts of Napa from this location. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Maggie Walker, the general manager, went above and beyond to make our experience perfect from the time we booked our room to the time we checked out.

Yelp
My husband and I just had the pleasure of dining at the Zina Lounge in the stunning Ledsen Hotel. What a wonderful experience! We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings and they were fabulous! The portions were large and they all paired perfectly with the various wines we were served. The chef, Yoshiharu Sogi, is very talented and it was demonstrated dish after dish. Wine Steward, Todd Lake, was so friendly, funny, and knowledgeable we wanted him to pull up a chair and have dinner with us. The team, service and hospitality, the food and wine, and the beautiful setting made our experience top notch and we already look forward to an opportunity to return. We hope you put this on your to-do list when visiting Sonoma!

John S.

Yelp
The hotel is a beautiful place. Each room is superbly decorated, comfortable and quiet. The lobby is also a great place to hang out in the early mornings. It is also right on Sonoma Square and has access to all the local restaurants and tasting rooms. The staff is quite friendly and helpful as well.

La A.

Yelp
The Ledson Hotel and wine lounge are one of the treasures of the Sonoma Square. Wines and hotel are exceptional, but the real secret is the customer service. As locals, we have our pick of where to go...we choose Ledson often because of the amazing staff here-specifically Brandon Garcia. Brandon is knowledgeable and a skilled professional. It is his uncommon kindness and thoughtful manner that sets him apart. He goes the extra mile for each customer...he gives 100% of his attention and interest. Thank you for making our time on the square a delight, Brandon!

Yelp
Our impromptu trip to Sonoma led us to the town square we fell in love with the looks of the Ledson Hotel. We went in to check rates and immediately fell in love with the coziness of the lobby. This one of a kind, boutique hotel was built with charm, class, and extreme detail. The heart of the hotel is clearly "Angel", the hotels "everything man"... Who made us feel like the King and Queen of Sonoma. We cannot wait to revisit Ledson. Thank you for making our quick trip the most memorable.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful hotel right on Sonoma Plaza. Rooms are cozy and beautiful- take a look at the photos. Stayed in the The Whitby Room over looking the Plaza. Beds and pillows are super comfy. Jet tub after a long day of wine tasting. Coffee, fresh juice and pastries in the morning in the lobby. Ask for Angel. Will be back! Thank you!
google avatar

Kim B.

Yelp
The Ledson Hotel is perfectly located in Sonoma Square. It is a 6 room, very quaint hotel with attentive staff. There are plenty of dining options outside of the hotel so not having a restaurant in the hotel is not a big deal. Each guest room is lovely. There is a big soaking tub in each one and they are very comfortable. I loved the gas fireplace! The service was so nice and treated us like family. We were here for a work meeting and it was great! I'd stay here again in an instant.
google avatar

Sherri W.

Yelp
We stayed at the Ledson because of the location. Wow! We got so much more! To start, we were able to park behind the hotel at no extra charge. Angel greeted us at the car and took our baggage to our room. I have traveled quite a bit for work and never had this kind of service. We didn't have to wait in the 'reception' area, or even go downstairs! The best part is that the pillows were perfect, rooms were SO quiet (we didn't hear anything), curtains completely blocked out the light, and everything was very clean. It was a little bit pricier than some other hotels, but we agreed that we'd definitely come back to the Ledson! Awesome stay, awesome service! HIGHLY recommended!
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
Just ate at Ledson Hotel for my first time! I've lived in Sonoma my whole life and haven't had the pleasure. We sat on the patio and people watched on our lunch break. The patio is pet friendly and spacious enough for baby strollers. We shared the B.L.T. & D (duck) and the crab cakes. DELISH! I was pleasantly surprised by the affordable pricing, warm atmosphere and good music! Can't wait to go back for other tasty meals that I wanted on the menu!
google avatar

Roger P.

Yelp
This is a very small and quaint hotel. There is only six rooms, all on the second floor. The rooms are beautiful, with a hot tub bath and fire place. Each room also have a outside balcony that overlooks the town square, perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine from. And speaking of wine, part of you stay here entitles you to a complimentary private wine tasting at their vineyard about 20 minutes further back in the valley. Last time we were here I thought the wines I tasted during the tasting were the best wines I tasted while in Sonoma. And if that isn't enough, the staff is great going out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Especially Angel, who if you're checking late like we did, drive in from home to greet you.
google avatar

Teri Z.

Yelp
Our stay at the Ledson Hotel was AMAZING! Angel is the perfect host and so thoughtful and outgoing. The rooms are stunning and very comfortable. We were there with another couple for our anniversary and we were all blown away by the wonderful experience of the hotel itself and the staff. We will definitely be going back again!!

Sue H.

Yelp
Pay attention to the reviewers who comment on the bartender being full of himself... the whole place is. Michelle is rude and pretentious. The rooms are way overdone and way too expensive. The room isn't comfortable - the drawer pulls are tiny and the hangars are from Motel 6 (they don't come off the rod.) Humming refrigerators are inches from your pillow. The "lobby" is used for private tastings and expensive private dinners... no couches to sit on and you have to whisper when you walk in so you don't disturb the "guests." Not even a free bottle of wine upon arrival - and at $700 per night, there should be! This place is definitely NOT worth the price. There are other great hotels on the square, some recently renovated, that don't charge half of this crazy rate... skip this one. No one likes being ripped off.

Stefanie B.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed for two nights in the Barker room. It felt like our honeymoon. The room was gorgeous, with detailed wood floor inlay and beautiful crown molding throughout. I took a bath in the jetted soaking tub with the fireplace lit. The balcony for two was super cute and brought in a lovely breeze. The bedding was lush and comfy. We both each had our own large individual counter/sink area which was wonderful as well. Sonoma is beautiful, and we were able to have great runs. In the morning we were greeted by Angel, who is charming and a gracious host. He made sure we were well taken care of.

Yelp
My sister-in-law took my wife and I for a wine pairing lunch at Ledson for our 25 anniversary this past week and it was by far the best meal I've ever eaten. And mind you, I have eaten many sensational meals, so this is the highest praise possible. Our host, Todd, was amazing. He shared the history of the hotel, along with great insights into the various wines we were tasting. And the food!!! Oh the food. Chef Yoshi is a master. Every bite was better than the last. And the pairings were masterful. I'm convinced this chef will be a superstar in the near future. He's someone I will keep an eye on. I didn't pay for this meal, since it was a treat from my very generous sister-in-law. I suspect it was very expensive, but oh, was it worth it! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
The rooms are fantastic and beautiful. So why the poor rating. The Ledson Hotel use to be known for good service and great wine. You could sit by the fire and enjoy great wine with friends. Notice my use of the past tense. The Harmony Lounge or whatever they are calling it these days has been reinvented so many times; each time worse than the last. The last time we were there we were given small pours and charged a lot of money. The bartender was very impressed with himself. We were told that they are going to a machine that pours the wine by a push of the button. We were also told that they were closing in April and would only be open for wine and food pairing. Count us out. Go back to your roots and stop trying to be something that you not.

Yelp
Everything about this hotel and restaurant is amazing - the staff, Angel, Todd and Michele are all top notch - they fulfill ALL of your needs - the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, so are the rooms - the chef as well as being an amazing Chef is also a Sommelier so our food was paired perfectly. This is a do not miss restaurant/lounge/hotel - you will not be disappointed!!! It is worth every penny!!

Yelp
This luxury mansion-turned-hotel is one of a kind. We flew in late and missed check in so could only spend one night there instead of two. Michelle was so apologetic and professional about everything, she treated us to a complimentary stay. Still we would have been more than happy to pay full price for a stay here again- it is worth every penny. The rooms are gorgeous and elegant and the shower and tub are heaven. Angel gave us such attentive and friendly service and Jason in the tasting room was a wealth of knowledge and a true pleasure. We cannot say enough about this place. It is a must stay for a special occasion- we will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Been here many times for cocktails. Always been very good. Was there on Sunday Oct 26 2014. Service was very poor. We felt ignored. The pour on the drinks = embarrassingly small. Too bad. This is an easy fix. Come on guys!

Yelp
Beautiful boutique hotel, our room was incredibly beautiful with the balcony right on the street! Very impressive!

Yelp
Extremely quaint hotel with modern amenities and comfort. Excellent location on the square in Sonoma, within walking distance of pretty much anything you'd like - food, libations, shopping, drug store, groceries, etc. The availability of wineries is endless within 30 minute driving distance. The staff was extremely friendly and responsive. It is a small place, only 6 rooms. At night it is very quiet and no lobby staffing or other routine services. Emergency contact is given in the event you need something after hours. For a romantic get-away or a quiet weekend enjoying the charm of Sonoma, I would highly recommend. We stayed at another nearby hotel last year, and while it was great, the location of Ledson right on the square is fabulous, and it just has a lot of character few other places offer. The hotel is relatively new, despite its historic appearance and charm. You'll feel like you're in a B&B or someone's home.

Yelp
My husband and I have always had a good meal at the Panama hotel restaurant. Tasty and quality food. The wines are delicious and the service good. A good value for your money. Recommend you get reservations, always filled up.

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed in first class hotels from Malaysia to Germany, England, Switzerland, and all over the US. The service and attention to detail we found at the Ledson rivaled the best we have ever experienced. The food in the restaurant was interesting, creative, and delicious. We were fortunate enough to meet Angel Sotelo, who took a personal interest in making sure we were happy with all the arrangements. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.
