"An airport in the UK with newly installed scanners that are currently not in use due to technical difficulties."

Worst uk airport. If you can avoid it. They do not have metal detectors. Personal lies that scaners are mandatory even you can opt out. Lies about scaners and radiation. Makes a fuss if you opt out, by terrorizing people that they will be blacklisted by charters. When you come back, they squeeze whole plane in 2 buses, then there is absolute chaoss to get inside building. Never I have seen anything like this. No escalator. You have to be fit to climb stairs with suitcase in hand

Lovely small airport with a hassle-free, enhanced security system. The staff are friendly and helpful. I’m in love with their Leeds football club shop, even though I’m not a football fan! 😅 The only downside is the expensive parking rates!!!

Leeds Bradford International Airport presents a welcoming and compact initial impression, but as you move past security, it opens up into a vast expanse of shops and amenities. The airport staff and security are exceptionally friendly and professional, making the experience smooth and stress-free. I had special items in my baggage, and the security team handled everything with great care and provided useful tips for future travels. This level of assistance and professionalism is a standout feature of the airport. On the downside, the toilets are quite outdated, with noticeable issues such as a large hole in the ceiling, which detracts from the otherwise positive experience. Despite this, the wide range of stores and helpful staff make Leeds Bradford Airport a preferable choice for future trips to England.

We travel through the airport quite a bit and we always seem to have issues when we return. This time the airport had no aeroplanes at the terminal but we disembarked about as far away as you can get. No explanation as to why. The bus driver had no sensitivity when braking. When we eventually arrived at the terminal only 1 1/2 doors opened. No explanation from anybody again as to why the doors didn't work or why we were on a faulty bus for no apparent reason. The positive was that all the security desks were manned.

The 1432 Runway Club provides a varied experience that has potential for enhancements. Positives: 1. Drinks Variety: The array of beverages was impressive, featuring numerous options to cater to diverse tastes. 2. Breakfast Menu: The breakfast served was well-crafted and fulfilling, demonstrating quality in this area of service. 3. Cleanliness: The lounge maintained a clean and tidy atmosphere, ensuring a pleasant environment. Areas of Improvment 1. Service: The service fell short of expectations. Tables were not cleared in a timely manner, making the lounge feel less inviting as the day progressed. 2. Buffet Food: The buffet left much to be desired, offering extremely limited choices after breakfast basically just crisps, which is insufficient for a premium lounge. 3. Staff Attitude: The staff could have exhibited more friendliness and attentiveness. Their demeanor was not particularly warm or pleasant, which detracted from the overall experience. Summary: Although the lounge performs well in terms of its drinks selection, cleanliness, and breakfast service, the inadequate buffet options and unhelpful staff diminish the overall experience. Enhancements in service quality and post-breakfast food offerings would significantly improve the 1432 Runway Club as a choice for travelers.

Not impressed at all. By far the worst Airport I have travelled through, and that breaks my heart to say this being a Yorkshire Man. No help at all with our 2 Autistic Children. Passed from one queue to another with no assistance, even after asking 2 members of staff for help. Within 2 minutes of arrival at Fuerteventura Airport we were fast tracked straight through Passport Security and immediately to baggage. Please read all the negative reviews and take action before your reputation is ruined.

Google
this is the worst airport in the world! I've been to hundreds of airports across the world and this is the worst organized, it is 20 times smaller than it should be for the number of people travelling through it so it is the most cramped airport. there is no space to sit at all, people are sitting on the floor everywhere, it is super noisy, there is always something else you have to do somewhere else for each simple task (like baggage drop off, security, finding your gate, all come with stupid things you have to do before continuing). even the lifts don't work and there are leaks from the ceiling. usually airports advise to arrive 2h before departure to find you a lot of time to get to your gate in time. In Leeds airport YOU NEED 3-4 hours just to go through all their super badly organized baggage drop, security and gate finding. Incredible. it is a small airport in Crewe bad condition and organized in the worst possible way! Leeds airport takes the crown from Delhi airport in the "worst airport competition". pictures below are from the departures, near the waiting area. avoid it if you can

Google
Airport security is great here, as you don't need to unpack laptops or liquids now, so going through security is quick. Staff are polite and friendly. But don't stop on the red lines outside the airport as you will be fined, even for 20 secs!! Use the long stay car park for drop offs, as it's free for 1 HR. If you go to the drop off zone it's £6.

Yelp
Say hi to Marc beale for me please He is super duper w dank employeee With tremendous regards, the huzz*(bigsit)

Fionnuala W.

Yelp
Really crap place. It deserves to be shut down at this point, rude staff, gross bathrooms, discusting layout. Should get lots of renovations and better staff. Planes always delayed and late.

Annette B.

Yelp
This airport was very easy to navigate. I had no issues with the airport itself while I traveled here. It was a breeze!

Mimi M.

Yelp
Seem unprepared for more than 1 flight landing close to each other. Waited over 20 mins for a bus to come to the plane after landing then 10 for the shuttle bus for the carpark.

Cody C.

Yelp
Honestly, this airport doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. This airport is the WORST airport that I have ever encountered. DO NOT FLY through here UNLESS you want to receive an additional charge to check-in at the the airport, an additional charge to print the boarding passes, and an additional charge for not checking in your luggage before you get to the airport. The staff is ENTIRELY rude and ruthless and they have no sympathy whatsoever. I have never been to an airport, where this is the standard norm. Just to *clarify* the upsetting factor is getting an additional charge for literally EVERYTHING, not the fact that we had to check our bags in. Nothing can be said that will justify getting charged at the airport to check-in OR getting an additional charge for checking the bags in at the airport and not before-hand. The Leeds Bradford Airport policy is absolutely a load of crap and the ratings match the experience I endured. I wish I would've reviewed these ratings before booking the flight here. I will never come here ever again and waste my money.

Andy H.

Yelp
Awful experience.. Massively congested. Took 3 hours to get through security, and even then they had to pull us forward (which at least shows there is some concern for people making flights). Line for security wrapped around airport and then went all the way outside around airport! Never seen anything quite like it. I get it's been lockdown, but at least have a couple of people out there to at least advise people what's going on. No concern for kids or older people. One older gentleman did get put in a wheelchair after he almost fainted due to being on his feet for hours. Would never travel through there again. Proceed with caution!

Michael G.

Yelp
Very bad experience as ever the place is a cattle market with security staff barking at passengers as if they were schoolchildren. Beware of the parking parasites who patrol the car parks for profit. I paid over a hundred pounds to park my car for a week. We arrived early morning in the dark and mist the car park was a building site with extremely poor lighting, in my opinion not to standard . I parked in a bay next to a hatched walkway on the line (not over it) i was fined another hundred pounds. Yes probably my own fault but this is not made clear on booking so be careful don't end up making the same mistake. I have tolerated this airport in the past because it is convenient but given my last experience in October 23 I will not be travelling from here in the future.

Jamie B.

Yelp
It's akin to a cattle shed. Due to how the place was built without any thought to the future, additions are added ad hoc leaving a bizarre layout where duty free hugs a corridor & gates are spread across the airport seemingly at random. Yes it's great to have a local airport so you don't have to brave a trip on the M62 to the wastelands of Lancashire. But perhaps a total rebuild of the terminal building might be best. The floors creak underneath you. There're no electric signs showing where the gate you're at is going. Heck there're no signs at all. The garbled messages broadcast over the intercom are you're only real chance to know you're boarding, as they frequently don't update the screens throughout the airport. Saving grace is saving you the trip to the wastelands. Something the airport lets you know every 20 yards.

Pat M.

Yelp
Love this airport. One thing I would suggest re Ladies toilets. The doors need something on them to highlight when vacant or in use. There is no way of knowing hence people are having to push on the doors to check

Justin C.

Yelp
How can LBA charge £ 5.00 for 0 - 10 mins parking to drop off or pick up passengers, totally ridiculous. Its a total rip off, and they have the monopoly of supplying the arrow company as taxis where there is no competition and the you again are totally ripped off. The taxi registration hut is out in the freezing cold and you have then to wait at least half an hour for a taxi. It is no wonder that LBA is not the first choice of travellers due too their poor facilities and parking facilities . As a leeds resident i am sick of LBA increasing prices without them increasing facilities. I will be looking too alternative airports

Cynthia P.

Yelp
I travel with special assistance. Leeds Bradford are excellent! I always receive caring treatment. On my return from Kenya this week it was extra special from Heather! I could choose a different route but I only want to use Leeds Bradford because of their assistance. Thank you to all you are winderful!

Gail S.

Yelp
Appalling communications (i.e. none at all). Does not reply to messages asking for help. Customer service non-existent.

Jonny S.

Yelp
It does it's job, does Leeds Bradford Airport. Going to an airport is always going to be fun, really, unless you're going home. But when I go to LBA, it's generally to go somewhere. Somewhere sunny. Somewhere fun-ny. So, with that in mind. I like the airport. There's the usual shops and eateries. Nothing outrageously brilliant, nothing outrageously bad. There's not the selection (both of flights and shops/eateries) that there is at the bigger airports across the Pennines and down south. But, so long as there's pocket scrabble available in one of the shops, I'm happy. There are better airports around, but none quite so convenient...

Paul B.

Yelp
OUTRAGOUS! Beware - Mid stay car parking charge for Mid stay £64 for 1Day 5 Hours 56mins ! If you want to discuss or complain it costs 13p/min to listen to a string of pre recorded messages . Liverpool AP -19 days under £75

Nikki M.

Yelp
I've travelled to airports all over the world and non as bad as this to charge you £3 to drop off a person with bags is just taking advantage of people and also not helping traffic in the area or security when people are stopping at beat by roundabouts to drop passengers off rather than pay the £3 for literally a few minutes entry!!! Also not one trolley was available on the morning of Boxing Day! Will not choose this airport again!

Vivek T.

Yelp
At 5.30am on a Sunday, Leeds Bradford airport was chocca!! It took my wife and I 30 minutes to clear security and get to our gate. So advice is get there early!! Nice compact airport with not too much walking. Some great deals in duty free and there are a few good eateries also. Hadn't time to eat or grab a coffee!!

Tara M.

Yelp
Good wee airport. Decent selection of food places to eat. Camden food market is worth eating from. Fresh wholesome food and good prices. There is also a Burger King, wine bar, fancy burger place, super drug and newsagents. The staff are friendly. Security check in is fast and easy. They don't make you take off everything and loose your dignity. Buses are right outside the door. Would be good to have some benches or something outside to enjoy some fresh air if you are too early for your flight.

Patrick S.

Yelp
It seems like I spend most of my Life in Airports, Leeds Bradford Airport more than most ! The pros and cons of this Airport are as follows.. Pros - Its quick ! very quick from check in , via security to gate due to its small size.. Not like Frankfurt or Charles Du Gaul where most things are a long hike ! Most of the time I use LBA it is for business and with KLM , so other airline experiences may vary ( Ryanair Jet2 flybe etc...) but due to my Status with KLM I am able to use the fast lane and the Business lounge so positive marks there ( it is amazing how a free cup of coffee and a slice of toast can improve the general travel experience , but it does !) The only cons I have of LBA is the new managements endeavours to squeeze more money out of us, the travelling public with non refundable luggage trolleys which dont give your pound back and the drop off tax infront of the terminal as that really adds up over the year and is a right pain ....

David H.

Yelp
I don't understand why people whinge about the security here. I'd much rather have it than not. It's also nowhere near as bad as some of the European airports. Yes if you have liquids in your hand luggage you have to purchase a plastic bag for £1 or bin them. But seriously if you haven't learnt by now to bring one from home then it's your problem, they've been in effect for over 10 years! Not the largest or flashiest of airports but well positioned for those who live in Leeds or the surrounding areas and a lot of European destinations to fly to. Nothing wrong with this place so far as I can see.

Andrew B.

Yelp
A great airport of the past ruined by recent changes and lack of any attempt at user experience design. LBA used to be a great airport where you could land and be away in taxi or hire car really quickly with minimum of fuss and pain after long travel. Now they've added a covered corridor when you get off the plane if coming down outdoor steps. Is that corridor heated? Air conditioned? Completely sealed against the weather? Even concreted properly to give a flat surface for people of all ages to wheel their luggage? No...of course not...this is Airport Design By Extreme Beginner...why would you expect any of those things? The car rental for all the major brands used to be inside the terminal with a quick walk to the car. Now it's go outside in the cold, wait 15 mins or more for a bus, be driven 10 mins to the car rental centre. Is the new car rental centre on the flat like every other car rental centre in the World? Does the bus drop you within yards of the front entrance? No...of course not...this is Airport Design By Extreme Beginner...why would you expect any of those things? You're dropped across the road from the car rental centre on a slanted pavement and then have to wheel your luggage over very very rough surfaces down the pavement, across the road, down a hill, up a ramp to the car rental desks. Did anyone think through all of this? Remove the pain-points? Be proud of their design work? No....why would they do that? This is LBA ...we just do below the absolute minimum...cause misery for hundreds of thousands of passengers...and we couldn't care less.

Yelp
Functional at best, the airport has minimal facilities and can be very busy at times. One good thing is gates 9 and 10 are hidden away on the first floor so when the rest of the airport is full you can usually head up here for quiet. Domestic arrivals is a joke and Ive been stuck in here a few times whilst waiting for the security guard to turn up and unlock the door to allow everyone out. It scores high for convenience but if I had a choice I would fly from a different airport.

Kirsten T.

Yelp
Small airport and no real choice for places to get food and drinks from. My parents and I were there early morning so there weren't TOO many people there but it was still busy, so I would hate to be there any later than we were if it gets busier. Parking shuttle seemed to be quick when we arrived, but very slow when we came back from the holiday and it was freezing and pouring it down, so didn't really appreciate having to stand in the rain for ages. On a plus, at least security was quick! Overall we made the decision we probably wouln't fly from here again as we like other airports better.

Qype User (mrmark…)

Yelp
With the investment this place gets better and better. Great parking, cheap flights all over Europe as well. The airport itself has quick check in facilities and when you land the bags are on the turnstile before you know it. Very easy to get through, which at the end of the day is all you need an airport to Do

Qype User (pinkys…)

Yelp
Not LBIA's biggest fan, me. It's about big enough to swing a cat in, but you'll have had to walk about fifty miles from your car to get to it. And then pay a fortune once you're done parking. I had to come here on business and pay £18 for short stay parking, which I thought was pretty steep for 5 hours. I think airports in general have lost a bit of excitement. They're less about being part of the leisure and hospitality market and more about boring old 'transport'. Come on, LBIA, you're sending people on their hollybobs! Be cheery about it!

Qype User (kittyk…)

Yelp
LBA is a tiiiny airport compared with say Manchester, and even as a Leeds centre resident I've never actually flown from it. But I have been to it a number of times. It has all the usual things a big airport has - WHSmiths, a pub, Burger King, Boots, a bureau de change, car hire etc, so you really don't feel like you are missing out at all. I prefer these little airports as there's less far to walk. The range of services they offer and the locations you can fly to from Leeds is excellent, especially as this is one of the main airports for budget airline Jet2. A good airport with loads to offer.

Eric W.

Yelp
Must put my complaint in context. Flew with Ryanair yesterday.Flight was delayed from 13.45. Finally got on plane at 3.15 but then discovered we had to wait until 4.00 for a slot because of French air controllers strike. Arrived back at Leeds at 5.30. Then had to wait another 10 mins for buses. Then were packed into the bus like cattle. Know its not far but I reckon this was a danger to the public. I would rather have walked to passport control. Made my feelings known to the bus driver - not his fault. Other passengers were also angry.

Qype User (theduc…)

Yelp
I really like small airports. This place has become mega busy since my last visit, but its potential is finally being unlocked. The airport for Yorkshire, Leeds Bradford has a super long runaway which can host flights to far flung destinations like Islamabad in Pakistan. Boeing 747s and Concorde have paid a visit to Yeadon. Although it is really a place for the business person and the package holiday person until Jet2's arrival at the airport a few years back. Now hosting 10 scheduled airlines flying to more than 35 destinations every week, there is almost 3 million passengers in 2007 and it should break that point in 2008. There is the usual cafe, pub called the The Woolpack and more at the airside, but it is very expensive to shop there. Not connected directly by train to the Rail network, you can get the bus to either Leeds or Bradford from outside the airport door. One day it will join the local Metro network, but until thenallow an hour for the bus journey to either city.

Qype User (savoca…)

Yelp
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is a small airport, 40 minutes form Leeds (by bus). The connection is not bad as the bus departs from the Railway station, and leaves every hour or so. It also has a good connection with Derby (bus). The nice thing is that even it is a small airport it has all the benefits of a large one - major shops an retailers, also a few place to get a snack or a latte. There is a lot of airlines using this airport, having in mind the size of it. There is also a hotel very close to the airport called the Travelodge Hotel, and it is just across the road.

Ruby M.

Yelp
Well I used to go there for Disney Holidays but now only Greece holidays. We've never have had any problems with this airport. The staff are always so nice, polite and care about their customers. We usually get through the queues quick and easy. While wait for the gates to open there are an assortment of shops just in case you've forgot anything or just for fun. There's also lots of cafes with delicious food hot and cold, I usually go early in the morning so I treat myself to a hot bacon sandwich which are always yummy. There's just one thing, I say that I used to go there for Disneyland Paris holidays because we decided to not having to wake up early and drive there since it is a small airport there's no hotels and it got a bit tiresome. I do recommend this airport but only if you're planning to go there later in the day and not what I used to do trust me we learnt the hard way don't make the same mistake.

Qype User (Bee…)

Yelp
Everyone else seems to like LBIA, not me I'm afraid! I had the 'pleasure' of using Leeds Bradford for a flight on Jet2 to Malaga. I've flown from lot's of the smaller regional airports serviced by the likes of Ryanair, Jet2, etc. and can honestly say I did not enjoy the experience at LBIA. The check in areas were ok, and whilsts some parts, including the dedicated Jet2 areas were obviously put up temporarily pending a rebuilding project, generally it was ok for an airport of this size. Immigration again was not too bad, the queue was short and we were through fairly quickly. The departure lounge however was a little like being in someones front room, if a flight was departing from some of the gates it made getting around the lounge more or less impossible as people crowded round the gate cmopletely blocking the entrace to WH Smith and the Duty Free. We were temped upstairs by a sign saying there was a further WH Smith shop up there only to find it closed and more of a cubicle than shop. Maybe I'm just being picky but after using airports such as Manchester and Newcastle I've started to expect more of an experience from being at the airport, a spacious, comfortable lounge I feel is now a must have and several large shops to look around whilst you are waiting. Returning to LBIA was a highlight though as we were fairly quickly back on landside after a short wait for a bus to collect us from the aircraft and a small queue at border control, our bag was already on the belt meaning we could make a quick exit, 20 minutes from touching down on the runway to being back in the car! Hopefully, LBIA will be much improved when it's much publicised masterplan starts to come in to effect!

Qype User (matt54…)

Yelp
The first thing you notice about Leeds Bradford airport is it's branding - it might as well just rename itself to "Jet 2 Airport". Okay, Jet2 fly from this airport, we get it. Aside from the blinding red Jet2 logo's which are plastered over just about every surface, this airport is pretty standard. The staff aren't rude; they're nothing. They just... don't smile, but they don't frown either. Either Jet2 (sorry, Leeds Bradford) airport is trialling some sort of robotic staff force or I'd say that none of them want to be there. At all. As with all airports, the food and drink is overpriced and the waiting areas aren't exactly comfortable. I suppose as you sit in dire surroundings being looked down on by staff you can console yourself that you're heading off somewhere warm for a week or two!

Nigel H.

Yelp
I booked a rental car at Leeds Bradford airport and went to pick it up. Because there was no ATM in the village where I was staying I asked the taxi to wait outside while I got cash from the ATM in the airport. Unbelieveably the airport ATM's do not accept north American cards. I returned to the car and asked the driver to take me to a bank. The airport then charged us 3pounds to exit their car park, which we had been in for less than 3 minutes. They have no drop off lane so you have no chouce but to enter their airport. We found a bank in a nearby town, returned to the airport, where I paid the taxi driver, and then got hit for another 3 pounds so the driver could exit the airport car park again. The car rental company turned out not to be located in the arrivals hall, as the website stated, but actually 700 meters away through a series of car parks so criss crossed by fences that it is actually difficult to pass through on foot. I ended up spending 18 pounds on taxi fare and anoher 6 on ccar parking which I did not use. The taxi ride from the village I had been staying to the airport was 3 miles. I filled out a complaint form at the time, but as the staff said would be the case, I have heard nothing. Take from this: 1. Make sure you have cash. The ATMs may not accept your card. 2. have 3 pounds available for the privilege of driving THROUGH their airport. 3. try to avoid all need to use Leeds Bradford airport.

Santana M.

Yelp
Invidious. What a cheek charging to drop someone off. If you don't want to pay you have to park far away in long term car park. Then they charge for a small trolley. Not a pleasant experience

Andrew C.

Yelp
I've just dropped off and also picked up my daughter. I'm very disapppointed with the cost! dropped my daughter off close to the terminal in 3 minutes (tops!) cost of drop off £3, for a quick stop. So I decided to pick my daughter up and used the free pick up area, what an absolute joke! the area is poorly marked out, didn't measure exactly but 200 yards away from the terminal. On entry it warns of over staying more than the hour maximum stay will cost you £30, not a rising fee! £30 ridiculous! And to leave this free area you have to weave around to make your escape, not a polite steady route out of the airport. It's Leeds and Bradford airport saying you want to come cheap, here's cheap! This is my home city airport... need to have a rethink. On top of this because of the way drop off works there are people being dropped off all over the place, people stood around in groups waiting for friends to pick up, it almost looks refugee like at times. Disgusted! I hope the airport take some of this on board - LBA

Anthony M.

Yelp
Limited things to do, only seems to have one good joint and a bar, duty free shopping is limited and the queues are massive. Ok for domestic flights early doors but security can be a bind and take forever to clear.

Pauline S.

Yelp
Arriving at 6.45 (2 hours prior to flying to Cyprus) on June 6th we checked in with Jet2 in about 5 minutes. Great. We got through security without too much difficulty. Great. We went to have coffee and toast - as you would at that hour. the new bar area had a hot drinks machine which was broken. We didn't want alcohol. And in any case the place was heaving with people and cluttered with used dishes and cups from earlier breakfasts - unpleasant. We went round to the Saltaire bar - there were 2 people serving, alcohol, the barista coffee machine and taking the money - inadequate for the large number of people needing to be served. The queue to get to be served was at least half an hour - and when we got there we were told that there was a further half hour wait for food - even toast! The staffing of the food and beverage outlets was completely inadequate. We went in dismay down to the Camden café - one girl and a queue of people. We eventually bought a hot drink - but no time to drink it as our flight was called. At this time we had been in the airport for 1.5 hours, most of it spent in queues. We walked half a mile to Gate 9. Queued again. There was a 'technical fault' or alternatively a 'security scare' (it was never explained)- so we all trekked back into the terminal - which by this time was somewhat quieter. Ah ha - perhaps we can get coffee! No! the coffee machine in the Saltaire bar had broken. Our whole experience was dismal. Why does not the airport service operations manager appreciate that a whole number of charter flights leave early in the morning and most people get to the airport thinking that they will be able to get breakfast in the period between check in and boarding. Staff are needed, equipment needs to work - not rocket science!!

Mark R.

Yelp
Quite simply the place isn't big enough to cope with the amount of passengers that flow through it. I realise more work is being done but there is no consideration given for the crowds of people who were there in the summer of 2009 and my family were crammed into an area where there was nowhere to sit. Not a pleasant experience.

G B.

Yelp
The comparison with European airports from Frankfurt, to Schipol, to Palma, to Copenhagen, to Geneva leaves LBA right at the bottom. Motorway, train and bus connections absent. Buildings old, dirty and dark. Passenger comfort and consideration largely absent and at busy times completely absent. Note to LBA owners: check out how it's done properly and sincerely benchmark yourselves. Give yourselves a reasonable chance to succeed - it will take 5 years or even 10 and plenty of money and dedication - and then be brave and announce your plans to staff and customers. Good luck.

Kath W.

Yelp
I recently used LeedsBradford Airport flying out no problems although aware of a lot of building work making it look a bit shabby On return on 31stJan 2017 I was meet off the plane from Amsterdam at 930 am approx by a member of Special Assiistane team of the Airport once through to arrivals I was expecting a driver to meet me but they weren't , My mobile wasn't working as my home provider had stopped my service while on holiday in New Zeelead for their reasons so went to use to use Public home was told by staff member in the Riatzza Cafe that it wasn't working so the staff member lent me her own mobile which I will always be grateful for . The arrivals hall at Leeds Bradford Airport was drab cold uninviting no public phone on information desk no security staff or similar to ask Leeds Bradford Airport need to sort themselves out tif they want to be taken seriously as an international airport

Qype User (magjul…)

Yelp
I never thought travel could be so easy. Usually flying from Manchester with its hustle and bustle, this airport was like a breath of fresh air. You can walk to thr departures from the car park! No huge queues anywhere and going through departures was very quick. On return just the same. Makes travel a pleasure

Yes LBA is a good airport and it would be even better if the dream of connecting it to the rail network come true. Parking can be a bit difficult during peak times. One thing to remember when booking flights in or out of Leeds is that the airport is especially prone to cancellations due to fog or high winds, probably because they decided to build it on top of a moor. Jet2, with more flights than anyone else out of LBA, have their own area for check-innot quite terminal 5 but it's a start.

Yelp
This airport is ok. Not that big but provides all neccesery services. It works very well, there are no bigger deleys whatsoever. The connection is ok. There is a bus from leeds railway station as well as bradford station. As usual, there are some shops and cafes. Ok!

Yelp
This a great small airport which offers a variety of different destinations to travel to by air. The airport has ample parking and execellent access and transport systems to Leeds and Bradford. Taxi's are available at the door. The airport staff are approachable and friendly and will give advice as required. There are many entertainment and general facilities now located within the airport. These include a public house, coffee shop, news agents and boots. These facilities enabling and encouraging the traveller a relaxed and stress free journey. The check in areas are well signposted with ample space for large families and luggage.

Yelp
LB Airport is well serviced by the bus which leaves every half hour from Leeds Rail station in the centre of town - it travels down Burley Road and on out to the airport and is rarely late. When you arrive, the airport has all the usual shops, although once you get past security there is almost nothing to keep you occupied. There is a bar area with some tables, but this is usually full and upstairs the cafe is not open early in the morning or in the evening which is when most of their flights seem to be. Not a bad place, but bring a book!

Yelp
Living in York, it's always convenient to try and get a flight from Leeds Bradford if possible. It's a small one, which I like because it means not too much walking when you're there, but it has all the facilities you would need in an airport. It has always been clean and tidy when I've been there.

Yelp
Arrived back to Leeds Bradford from Palma Majorca at 22.50 pm on a Monarch flight on the 3rd June 2015. We arrived in an empty luggage returns hall at 23.10. We looked for our baggage conveyor and found no information as to which baggage area to use. after 10/15 minutes 3 or 4 more flights arrived and they were given priority luggage even though the hall was empty when we were waiting for our luggage.. On enquiring where our luggage was, we got a blank look from the staff as no-one was even interested in giving us any information ! Eventually at 23.55 pm luggage from our flight started to come through on conveyor 1. ! hour and 5 minutes after our flight landed. What a diabolical shambles this airport is, a could not care less attitude to the customer. As a regular traveller I will have to have no option if I use this airport on a regular basis in the future.

Yelp
Having read up on the airport I thought I would have an easy first experience on the first time I was using it for an early morning flight to Milan. Unfortunately, despite arriving there pre-checked in and an hour and a half before the flight was due to take off, security was so overloaded and incompetent that 4 of us failed to make the gate on time. The only positive to come out of it was that the airport agreed to pay for a taxi to Manchester airport although not for the extra £110 flight charge not any compensation for the time wasted (best part of a day). Will not be using here again, my advice would be to give it at least 2 hours just to get through security, longer if you need to check in.

Yelp
I used to like this airport. Inside, it has a minimum amount of shops, the first floor is usually quiet and relaxing. As the highest airport in the UK, the welcoming wind of Yorkshire often guarantees a rough landing. It's a bit like being in a roller coaster, very fun. Unfortunately, one day, two planes crashed ...in another country but who cares, terrorism can happen anywhere. So, since that time, the security has exponentially increased. Like anywhere else, no more liquids and no more metal. Unlike other airport, only one hand luggage is accepted. One day, I've been said "a laptop is a hand luggage, its bag is another, chose what you want to leave". The security in this airport has become ridiculous, it's a pain and it makes your trip absolutely not enjoyable. And the worst is it is hard not to notice that it's a good excuse to make profit. To keep any "rejected" object, you can purchase a lovely plastic bag. Never seen it anywhere else in Europe, America or Asia. Now that the entrance is restricted, taxi companies must pay for the privilege of the access, and so on, and so on. Using the term "security" to improve the benefit of the airport is not only a pain for the customers, it's also a shame. I'm happy I don't have to travel through this airport anymore.
