Leela Cottages

We visited in Jan 2026. Bad things: Food and water- All of us got sick on the second day - vomiting whole night- due to the water they serve/ restaurant food. A family staying in the next cottage to us also had the same experience. We didn’t eat anything outside the resort. I can see many reviews mention the same thing, but they haven’t done anything to treat the water or improve the restaurant hygiene it seems. Rooms- We stayed in Grand cottages, we had booked two rooms G3 and G4. G4 was SIGNIFICANTLY better than G3. So much so that they didn’t look like they were in the same resort. G3 was a horrible cheap looking room and bathroom. So there is no consistency in what you’ll get with the same prices. Good things: Location- the location is good, beach was beautiful and clean, pool was small but nice. Food and Service- Food was okay, staff was polite and prompt with us.

Location – The property is set in lush green gardens and is very close to the beach. Depending on the room category, the beach is just a 1–5 minute walk away. Rooms – The rooms are spacious with a nice boho-style design and all modern features. However, the TV and AC feel a bit small for the size of the room. Bathroom – The bathroom is large, but a few things are missing. It doesn’t feel very premium, especially after seeing the room décor, which raised expectations. Food – Breakfast was average with nothing particularly special. The view makes the experience better. They offer three vegetarian and two non-vegetarian options, along with fresh juice, tea, and coffee—good enough to start your day. Staff – The staff is very polite, courteous, and well-trained. From check-in to check-out, their service was excellent. Overall – A good option to stay in this area.

We were a group of 10 who came for a yoga retreat on the beach. The yoga space was comfortable and spacious with wood floors and floor to ceiling windows opening onto the gardens. This location on Mandrem Beach in Goa was perfect with ocean breezes and well kept gardens and a pool with ocean views. The mid range cottages are comfortable with king sized beds that are perfect for sleeping. Some have large armoires for storage. There are two restaurants associated with the property but run as separate businesses. The Beach club restaurant arranged all the meals for lunch and dinner and hosted a breakfast buffet for all guests. The food was excellent and creative with their seafood offerings as well as traditional South Asian food. Garlic prawns were my favorite. The spa services were 10 stars. Usually hotel spa services don’t match my expectations but the deep tissue massage here was the best. I highly recommend Leela Cottages for a vacation getaway for two or for a group.

As a Hotelier myself here is my review- Rigid staff, cant even understand basic needs. Rooms are ok Water they are giving inside the room is basic RO so use it as per your immune system or order expensive mineral water worth 120₹ from their restaurant . Food is below ok anything you order they give surprisingly same . They are over charging for basic things and not even understanding, we are traveling with a year old baby, who’s food need little attention but they are not supportive. If they are charging 8-9k, for one night, the basic facilities should be included like- mineral water and toiletries. We weren’t at the hotel for the entire time, but the time we sent wasn’t worth spending this much. Too pricy and we need to beg for basics. Nvr going to recommend anyone there forsure.

Lovely place. It’s right on the beach which means you can just step out and head to the beach. The resort feels like you are living in a forest. The property is pretty big if you want to finish your daily steps iykyk. Love the pool and the staff is super helpful.

We booked 2 cottages from 28jan to 1st Feb, location is very nice, beach is beautiful, staff is polite. However we all got severe food poisoning from the water and food- we only ate at their restaurant during the stay. Other guests also were down with same symptoms. Hotel doesn't provide sealed water.

The worst experience ever because me and my mom haven’t eaten any outside food except in this hotel and both of us fell sick and had to vomiting all night and the breakfast quality is very poor. It has only five dishes and for us no Indian who can’t eat that much oil and spices in food, and stuff cannot offer anything else before 12 noon and only Alla card. You have to pay for this as well, and the most ridiculous things when if you want a good cappuccino, which turns up, not that good or any coffee made from machine, you have to pay for this separate ( the breakfast included we paid for it) so I find a very cheap and ridiculous. According to the price which you pay for this resort. The only greatest things about this place is cabanas which is on the beach and you can chill all day by the beach, but I feel you can just stay in some other better place and come to the beach and get yoga bed on rent so according to me, who travels often to Goa, this is worst experience ever been in this hotel. The service is poor- very poor. You just not feeling welcomed here at all. I would highly recommend to avoid this place.

The property is beautiful and filled with greenery. It open directly to the beach, although towards the rocky part. Ashwem beach is 2 mins drive from the property. Rooms are ultra spacious. The alignment of the furnitures and amenities were not convenient (tv was at an odd angle, lock was missing on bathroom door). Service was slow and average quality when it came to housekeeping. Overall service quality and customer experience could have been better to make this property an excellent stay for all. Pets are allowed in the property with an additional charge of INR 500 per day. Their restaurant Leela Beach Club serves great food alongside a great view of the Arabian sea.
