Had a 2 day stay recently with my husband and in laws. Two really nice bedrooms, charming and spotless. Food was delicious, really generous portions ( although there seemed to be a lot of waste left on those breakfast plates, such a shame so maybe quantity control needed). The service was impeccable, must give a shout out to the very attentive Daavid! Staff very accommodating, we will definitely return. There are only a handful of these charming hotels to be found, and this is up there with my other favourites..Dunraven Arms Hotel and The Haven in Dunmore East!

This hotel is in a great location to explore Connemara and up into Mayo. Thet check in was friendly and very efficient. The room was basic enough but very comfortable with a great shower in the spotless bathroom. There is a lovely lounge with sofas and chairs to relax in with views out onto the water. The food is simple enough but very tasty with an okay wine list. The dining room service was very good but maybe too quick with courses arriving very fast after the previous one. Breakfast options are good with the most delicious brown bread. Any staff we encountered were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This was shown when there was a power cut due to a storm and yet breakfast was served in difficult circumstances with a smile. We will be back.

Very pleasant stay.Food very good. Very nice service. And really relaxing massages. Which we can really recommend. Bart did a good job. Rooms are nice but nothing fancy. Location very good. The decoration of the inside could be worked better.

Hotel slightly dated but we had a great few days. Two adults and two children in a family room. The location is amazing. The food was good and service was quick. The kids loved it and we found it very child friendly. We spent our time driving around the area and playing cards in the lounge room in front of the roaring fire. I hope to come back.

Another amazing stay in Leenane hotel. Great food and service and a beautiful location. It’s a really comfortable stay, like home from home. We even got a dip off the pier across the road. It’s reasonably priced which makes it affordable with a family and a dog. We love everything about this hotel and will keep coming back. Thanks again for another great stay. I’ve the Leenane bread made and in the oven 😁

A motorcycle club weekend and not surprised how many different sections of our Club use this hotel over the year because it is excellent. We were lucky with a very spacious room with a view & what a view. Staff are terrific, friendly and helpful. The public rooms are lovely, food is excellent. Can't wait to come back, even Storm Ashley couldn't ruin the weekend.

Massive thanks due to the hotel. 4 motorhomes with solo women travellers were allowed to park in the safety of their carpark during storm Ashley as conditions were too bad to travel home safely. We were so grateful. One of us booked into the hotel (incredible value single room rate incl. breakfast) and found it excellent. 2 of us had enjoyed super massages the previous day and we all ate in the hotel the evening of the storm - 2 of us having the fabulous set 5 course menu @ €30 each. The quality and value were excellent. 2 ate in the bar and again the quality and value excellent. An incredibly friendly place and staff. And what a breathtaking setting the hotel is in. A great experience overall and we will be forever grateful for your hospitality during the dreadful storm conditions. Well done and thank you.

Yelp
It was okay.... Lots of tourists and the rooms were....historic? I could hear the people above me walking and the bar below me.....the food was okay, but the best meal was not on their main menu but their bar menu and that was the lamb shank..... It would have been nice if the hotel had more history on the area and the hotel itself. The location was central and located in a beautiful location, but if I went back I would choose a cheaper alternative that wasn't so touristic. Staff was helpful, but once I came back to my room and found the cleaning ladies reading a book that had been given to me. The room could use some updating. The bed was short and the tub was huge and long. A tiny television up near the ceiling.

Yelp
The best place for Seafood in Galway, they have a home made brown bread to die for! Great Hotel and a place to get a great Seaweed Bath. This is one of our Favourites places we visit every year. A great place for Seafood and famous home dark Bread. Lovely view from this area.

Yelp
As with Francis D's review, I am also a huge fan of the home-made brown bread. Superb. Now, I'll be honest from the start - I'm usually not impressed with mussels here in Ireland. Originally from the Southern Hemisphere, I'm used to the New Zealand variety that can get over 5inches in length with enough meat to fill even the hungriest seafood fan. However, the portion size at Leenane Hotel are just right. Advice - go early to avail of the Bar Menu. The Mussels are on this menu too but a couple Euro cheaper. €10 for a half kilo portion, and €16 for the 1kg portion. That'll do nicely! Ask for a bit of bread to soak up some of those superb juices. FYI, my family had the prosciutto-wrapped cod and the seafood chowder. Both were also delicious (however, the chowder can do with a bunch of the mussels thrown in to add variety to the flavour and texture).

Yelp
Stopped at this place for dinner on my to Louisburgh, Co. Mayo. The view at this place is stunning. Food was good as well. Reasonable price and good service. Do stop by when you get the chance. The hotel itself is very historical. Would love to stay at the hotel in the future. The drive to this place from Maum was simply breathtaking.
