In a day where everyone looks for perfection and 100% satisfaction it's nice to step back and enjoy a simple place to stay where the main attractions are the beautiful Cliffs, the deepest darkest night sky,the brightest stars, the total silence around you. While our room was dated and we first had second thoughts. We stepped back and looked around us outside and realized that our stay was not based on our bed or our bathroom. Our room was clean and adequate. Probably the most comfortable bed we slept in on our 10 day journey. Our girls loved having their own room. The stay was quiet and comfortable. Check in and check out were about as simple as it gets. The seclusion was wonderful. People get over your perfect lives and enjoy some simple peace and quiet at Lee's Ferry Lodge. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back. FYI the reclining chairs outside were perfect for star gazing.

I was looking for a place to stay from which I could do day trips to the Grand Canyon North Rim, but where there were still some other food and activity options nearby, and this was perfect. Quiet spot close to Lees Ferry with multiple restaurant options within a ten minute drive, gorgeous view right out your door, and SUCH friendly and helpful staff! Room was clean and had a minifridge (call them or read room details carefully to see which have them and which do not, as not all do), and they gave me access to the tavern kitchen to cook my meals when I wanted to. The tavern itself was closed for the season, but it was nice to still be able to use the space, as there was no seating in my room. Highly recommend Lees Ferry Lodge to anyone visiting the area! One important note though: the walls are very thin. If you're sensitive to noise, come prepared with earplugs. The folks next door weren't loud by any means, but I was able to hear snoring through the wall, and the odd car driving by on the highway outside can also be distracting.

What a gem! You can't see anything for miles, so try to get there during daylight hours. Felt like an old western ghost town, we had 2 accomodations. The Hopi house sleeps 5 (will bring a cot for an extra person), and a room at the inn. Old, rustic furniture and a little porch added to the charm of this place. "Jack" checked us in, and also was the proprietor and ran the tavern. Sunrise/sunset was beautiful. Perfect stop over between Zion and Grand Canyon

We got the cabin with a king bed and a queen since we were taking our two oldest on a back haul from Lee's Ferry up the river. Rooms 13 and 14 are pretty new and are built together with a shared kitchen. They have a lot of room to move around in. Ours in #13 had a polished concrete floor, which I expect is the same in 14. Friends of ours stayed in #8, which is a much older room and they said the bed needed help. Our bed was a memory foam mattress. Shower is a bit small considering the huge size of the bathroom, but it got the job done along with being handicapped accessible. It was not inexpensive, but it was a good experience with the kids. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Wow the journey to the lodge gave us a taste of what to expect an it is an amazing location. Really clean lodge with great decor, Native American style art. Good toiletries. Decent percolator for coffee. No fridge but lots of ice, we didn’t have an ice bucket so had to use the bin. The only bits which let it down were that things weren’t replaced from the previous day and as we were out early never got the chance to ask for fresh cardboard cups. The bar is nice but just sells wine and cans of beer and I felt $7 for a small can which I could get in a six pack for around $14 seemed a bit of a mark up.

Second time here. Such a surreal place! Middle of nowhere but perfect! (Very little traffic on highway) Rooms are renovated and very nice. Tavern open in the evenings or sit on front stoop. People and property are great. Close to Colorado River, Lees Ferry, etc. We will make an annual tradition.

The Lodge at Vermillion Cliffs offers an experience in the American Southwest that is increasingly rare to find. Discover the feelings of the wilderness, the quiet refreshment found by taking a long pause at this traveler's waypoint. The Lodge is a front seat to the colors and brilliance of the Southwest that has been lauded and sung by artists for centuries. The General Manager, Craig, is a generous host and friend to the guest. Craig is, quite literally, the person you are glad to find on the other end of the phone line when your car breaks down in the middle of the night on Highway 89, and who kindly collects you off the road shoulder and gives you a room for the night. Push past the creaking front door to the rustic saloon. Order a beverage at the bar and peak out the windows to beautiful cliffsides all around. You will find you can access Wi-Fi, but you'll be right to wonder if you shouldn't disconnect fully to really understand why you came here. A stay at the Lodge will be one you will remember for the rest of your life. A day or two in a corner of the Southwest that feels locked in ages past may entrust you with a new perspective that stays with you as you all too soon return to the noisy, bustling world beyond.

Breathtaking sunrise views at the Lodge. I’m really grateful to the management for not only letting us know that I forgot some of my important things in the room but also they were kind enough to ship to my house. Your act of kindness never gets ignored. Thank you 🙏

Yelp
There are numerous concerns with this "lodge". And they cannot be remedied with "we're working on it" as they tell us. Here is what we sent them as our concerns: I appreciate your goodwill intentions. However, I do not see how the 100 year old resort reasoning could apply to the trailer(s). The trailer we stayed in is obviously NOT 100 years old. It is simply a rundown trailer you are trying to market as a "resort room". With that said, the bed in the main room was very comfortable and we certainly appreciated the dining table and having a microwave and refrigerator (though not clean) in our room. But as our stay continued, the loosely rigged plumbing just seemed to fall apart, and the puzzling lumpy flooring really bothered us. And to have to request a new light bulb for one burnt out before we even arrived was a bit disappointing, particularly as the 3 light bulbs were all mismatched. And then to never have cold water. Again, I don't think that unit in particular can even be adequately plumbed without tearing down walls and perhaps rerouting pipes. This became crystal clear to us over the course of our stay. Ware still requesting a partial refund ($300) for these inconveniences and concerns we had to contend with. And we will continue to expect this until resolved. After all, that means we essentially would be paying $100 a night, which is still a lot of money. So, thank you for taking the time to read this, and heeding our request. Who knows, maybe if we are confident that you have addressed these concerns fully, we will consider staying at Lee's Ferry again." In addition to the above (this was sent to them after they stated that " they are working on all these items".), we also found evidence of bed bugs the last morning!, the blinds throughout were absolutely filthy, some of the electrical outlets were loose/unsafe, and most of the pillows were flat and old with worn pillow cases. But the real clincher was the faulty plumbing and electrical! And they have not given us a partial refund as we requested.

Yelp
Very expensive but by far the worst motel room I have ever stayed in. I'm 70 years old and have stayed in innumerable motels and hotels throughout the U.S., Canada. England and Western Europe. Small room: 13 x 13 feet square. Unpleasant odor. Very noisy fan in the small bathroom 6'x6' is annoying throughout the room. No television. No fridge. Coffee pot cord does not reach any outlet in the room without placing it on the floor. No USB access. Shower is open to toilet and sink on the same flat floor in the tiny 6' x 6' bathroom. The price for the room is about $200 per night. Not worth more than $35!

Yelp
Best place to stay in Marble Canyon!Close to many beautiful land marks and a perfect place to stay while visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. A charming tavern that serves beer and wine. No food so bring your own cooler/supplies. They have grills and a refrigerator for your convenience, also, ice!!! They also offer a haul back service for Lees Ferry/Glen Canyon and can be found at kayakthecolorado.com A wonderful experience for fishing or kayaking. Cathy and Brady are the most gracious host and made our stay very comfortable. We will come here again and again!

Jeff S.

Yelp
Incredible location, with a fantastic rustic feel. Far more to do in the area than I expected as far as hikes and things to see.

Kay S.

Yelp
Great lodge in a wonderfully remote location! They took Covid precautions very seriously which I really appreciate as a mom. The views were beautiful and I look forward to bringing my family back there soon!

Howard N.

Yelp
Used as a base for a day trip to the North Rim of the GC. The proprietors, Janet and Bobby, are charming hosts and provide excellent guest services. They recently purchased the lodge and are updating it with charm and vigor. The restaurant was closed for renovation, but our room was clean, comfortable and decorated with appealing furnishings and art. The locale creates a first impression of isolation, and it's true there is very limited shopping and just two local restaurants (not bad). However, just outside your room is a level path which you can walk to the base of the Vermillion Cliffs . Just across the road is Badger Point, a Colorado River overlook with a dramatic view of the first rapids downstream of the dam. It's a view of the Grand Canyon that few see, and it's accessible via a nearby gated road. Nearby the Glen Canyon Recreation Area is a must see. It's easily accessible on paved roads and contains Paria Beach (where you can wade in and watch river boats launch) , the Lonely Dell Ranch (free pick orchard of delicious fruit), up close access to dramatic rock formations and the Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center---all with a backdrop of the beautiful Vermillion Cliffs. Interested in kayaking? Kayak the Colorado, located on the premises, has a supply of rental kayaks and will transport you to and from the river. 928.856.0012 If you ever find yourself in this corner of Arizona, Lees Ferry Lodge is a must see destination.

Yelp
Location? check if you're in the right locale at the lodge... Lodge? cool although we were not granted the privilege of seeing inside Management? terrible Heres the deal...I never write reviews. I feel it is a form of bullying behavior. But what happened with us yesterday is just beyond the realm of rudeness, unprofessional attitude and cowardice. Oh, and since I did tell them I was posting a bad review, here it is. We booked a room for two nights...unseen and based upon reviews as are here. (We should have read the one star on Trip Advisor...it says it all...) We were advised that the only room available for one of our nights was a "family" room, larger and therefore more expensive. We were good with that...after all, it was our vacation and why not buy more "room"...? Well shoot...once we arrived and saw the manufactured home we were squeezed into in the back of the resort, with dirt to sit in vs. the nice patio with trees and a unobstructed view of the cliffs, we were off to a dismal start. But we had an early 6 a.m. kayak experience booked so we folded up our disappointment and prepared to try to enjoy it. Problem really started when I walked up to the lodge to see what I could see...as we were nowhere close. wow! Nice lodge...patios, trees, and an unobstructed view of a gorgeous set of red rock cliffs and fizzures in the earth. How I would have loved to have had that setting. Instead, my room (manufactured home cut in half and jammed with beds...windows that wouldn't open and old crappy air conditioners which we turned off because, really, when was the last time those filters were changed?) was sitting in a dirt patch behind the kayak shop affording us a view of stashed ladders, shovels, and a plethora of crap. Oh, and all for $150.00 a night! Cool! she says facetiously. So I asked my husband who had booked the joint if he could politely call again and see if we could move to the good area for our second night...mind you...this was late afternoon and we had a 6 am date with the river...Manager Janet wasn't answering and we got the owner. She found Janet and we got a very nice call saying that yes, we could be accommodated and after being advised that we would not be back by checkout time to move our stuff, she said we could wait until returning from the river trip. We had been told 5-6 hours so assumed we would be back by noon. 4:30 a.m....alarm to get up! And I go to make coffee...nope...coffee maker not working correctly. So I move it from it's precarious spot on top of microwave which was on top of tiny refrigerator to see if it would work on a flat surface...ie: dining table. Nope...couldn't plug it in because most of the plugs I tried were blown out. So tried bathroom. Nope. So no coffee either. and no blow dryer or anything else except tiny soap. slow water got us back at 1 and to our room at 1:20 where we were greeted by a text basically telling us we were disrespectful for being back two hours after check out. But wait...she said it was ok! we had to wait for the other room to be cleaned anyways so...where were we supposed to put our valuables and belongings at 6 a.m. in the morning? locked in a car at a launch dock for hours in the sun? No...she waived the checkout time so we could accomplish this. But not today! No sir! Yesterday she said she wanted to make us happy. But Today We were bad people. And she let us know it by not only renting out our promised room in the lodge with the view but also by renting out the room we were staying in and had already paid for! and copped a bad attitude towards us and said she felt nothing she had would be good enough for us. So she basically took away our room! and told us to leave! at 2 pm out in the boonies...wtf????? Wow. good way to blow someone's high on their vacation. Would not call us back, would not come in person to discuss, simply said she was driving and couldn't call...but could text us anger and being thrown out of our room after a 7 hour trip on the river...we needed sleep, food and kindness. We aren't jerks...far from it. So needless to say, will NEVER go back...and btw...the owner was called...her name is Liz...and she was also too much of a coward to call her guests back. Just decided to refund all our money (small kindness acknowledged) and throw us out. Nice. Karma ladies...karma. And I'm not talking a bad review. Karma has a way...and has nothing to do with us as it appears many have had issues before with downright bad bad management. Janet...are you listening? included a picture of the pile of crap we had as our view since the beautiful cliffs were simply up to our imagination. UPDATE: OH and Janet...your response is completely untruthful and inaccurate. We were polite and asked very nicely to change our accommodations. Everything I said was true. You were the bullying, threatening person in this equation. And you trying to project it onto me is not ok.

Alex R.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this lodge enough. it is the perfect place to get away from the annoyances of everyday city life. The hosts are exceptionally warm and make you feel totally at ease upon check-in. If you're looking for a great place to stay at the Grand Canyon, look no further.

Daniela R.

Yelp
Loved our stay here!!! One of the highlights of our trip. It is truly a special place with the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises. I loved sitting outside on the patio and having a drink with the mountains in the background. Janet was quick to respond and the rooms were very clean with comfy beds. There is also very good cell service (5 bars). Just a 15 minute drive down to the Lee's Ferry Boat Ramp, so it was perfect for our 6am kayak trip. Can't wait to come back!

Michael L.

Yelp
What an awesome location and amazing hosts. The recently renovated rooms are cozy. There was just too much to explore in the area and I am sure to return.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Finding a last minute stay between Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon, I couldn't have asked for a better spot. It was tucked out of the way in a quiet, beautiful area where you can see a million stars, the lights were left on for our check-in after hours, and the worlds friendliest outdoor kitty came and visited us for pets and snuggles. Wonderfully cabin-apropos decor, morning tea, and a convenient drive to the North Rim of the canyon made this an absolutely perfect visit.

Meredith S.

Yelp
You know when you are on the road and all you want to do is be greeted by a warm smile and a clean bed? Many times I have been stuck sleeping in my car because it was a better option than the motel...last night this was not the case. We pulled up to Lee's Ferry at Vermillion Cliffs and we were greeted with a smile by the new owners. My companion had stayed here the year before and let me know that it had vastly improved since then. It was all that we had hoped for and more ...We woke up to spectactular views and a good cup of Joe. 5/5 stars

Pat W.

Yelp
We spent two nights at Lee's Ferry Lodge and loved the cozy, rustic charm. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and laid back in a way that added to the relaxed nostalgic feel. Would definitely stay again!

Colleen C.

Yelp
The motel accommodations are nothing fancy but quite adequate. Clean rooms with plenty of hot water, warm bed to sleep in. We ate dinner and breakfast at the grill. The food was amazing. Large portions, great selection of beers, but the best part was the staff. Super friendly and attentive, knowledgeable about the area!

Daniel M.

Yelp
This is a nice 20's area motel with a real western vibe. The new owners were nice and the view is great. It also has a saloon attached.

Melanie M.

Yelp
Nice quaint small lodge in beautiful Marble Canyon @ Lees Ferry Glenn Canyon. Beautiful night skies. And excellent cook who made the most amazing food my entire stay. Best I had in the area!! Will be back again !!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Really friendly staff! I definitely should have gotten something else, but I have no one to blame for the baker's dozen of hot wings I gorged on here. Huge beer selection and we definitely had to go for the one with a jalapeno pepper floating in it. Spicy kick and I wish I could get a six pack of it around here. Bathrooms seem like they're ambiguously gendered, but look at the art carefully. The toilets were weird pressure ones, so it takes some time.

Evan D.

Yelp
Every one of us when faced the question of 'bests' can probably name them whether it be a food, a vacation, a place on earth, a day, a car, etc. In my travels through Utah and Northern AZ, I am never ceased to be amazed at the things that exist in the most unassuming of locations. Anyone who as taken the drive down 89 from Kanab, UT in March up to the snowy pines of Jake's Lake and then winding down, down the rocky red cliffs into the desert plains of which crown the Grand Canyon knows what a unique experience it is to live (or be) in this great country. At the same time, a subtle sadness exists to see the once proud natives of this land peddling their clay pots on the same roadside, relegated to a land that is as forbidding as it is beautiful. Amidst these conflicted feelings, climate changes and absolutely iconic, jaw dropping landscape exists a roadside restaurant that doesn't need to make excuses for itself. It humbly sits there flanked by red cliffs, gazing as it has for nearly some 80 to 90 odd years into the horizon where the mouth of the Grand Canyon begins. This Roadside Inn/Restaurant is made of the earth and clay it rests upon, it is clear that this place has been replicated, predicated and premeditated in countless BBQ chains around the world but here stands one of the originals. These are hands down, the best ribs I've ever had or plan to have. I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting either. It is so original and unpretentious, of a place while at the same time being nauseatingly iconic! I've found Nirvana. The cook greets you when you walk in, the service is amazing and if that weren't enough, the beer selection is head spinning. Thanks to them I've found Xingu which is one of the best beers out there! Lee's Ferry Lodge is on a very short list of the places I'd want to eat before I exited this world. How's that for a review?

Marsha M.

Yelp
My best friend and I drove out to the Grand Canyon a few summers ago and stumbled on this place late at night completely unprepared with a place to stay. The room had a cowboy theme and was clean and comfortable. They have a great patio and sitting outside is a must. The place sits in the desert surrounded by red mountains and the view is really something. We had breakfast here. It was fresh tasting, and legitimately delicious. I still remember that breakfast years later. Everything about this place is great: ambiance, quality, service and stunning scenery.

Edwin D.

Yelp
Another late driving need to find a place to sleep circumstance, but well worthwhile. Shortly after our arrival, they were pretty much shutting down (restaurant/bar), where I secured the room. Very friendly staff. Given I had been driving for some time, and was very tired, they were also helpful in guiding me to making selections of their massive beer offerings, which we enjoyed outside our room, just off the highway, which maybe 4 vehicles passed by during our 45 min/ 1 hour nightcap. The lodge is fairly remote in it's location, with very little around it, save some housing behind. Extremely quiet, on the verge of remote. It took a little time for the room to cool off, we would've used the windows, but there wasn't one to provide cross-ventilation, so having it open provided limited air circulation. Bathroom had a little tilt to it, but not too unreasonable; hot water wasn't working, but it allowed a reasonably tepid shower. I mentioned it upon checkout and it was noted. Perception upon arrival was a little pricey for the accommodations, given that we had also happened upon a property which was less expensive the night before, but the location more than generously compensates. One would pay MUCH more for such a beautiful setting. Would love to visit again...and have time to sample their beer selections!!!

John F.

Yelp
This hands down is our favorite place to stay up in the Vermilion Cliffs. The old rustic style is awesome, the rooms are always clean, and the staff is fun. The restaurant has a great grill and gets a fun scene with the anglers locals. It is close to Lee's Ferry and other attractions around the area.

Cynthia P.

Yelp
Can't wait to come back, if you get a chance to stay at this quaint lodge, don't miss it!!

Karen L.

Yelp
Great location with spectacular scenery. Room, service, and food were just 'ok' - nothing special, especially for the price. Restroom was cramped and flooded easily. Honestly, I don't think I'll be back.

Robert R.

Yelp
If you're looking for luxury-hotel amenities, go someplace else. If you're looking for friendly personal service and a clean, comfortable room in a spectacular setting, you would like Lee's Ferry Lodge, located 3 or 4 miles west of Navajo Bridge on 89A. My room (room 2) was small but comfortable, nicely decorated with a bird motif, good lighting, with a good comfortable queen-sized bed, plenty of pillows, and a very quiet air conditioner. The bathroom was adequate, and there is plenty of hot water (shower only, no tub), but you have to wait a while for it to come. The restaurant has something like 100 different kinds of beer, and also a half a dozen varieties of wine by the glass. There is a good variety of menu choices, but being there for only one night I could only try one thing. I had the fish and chips and it was very good, with fresh-cut potatoes for the fries. You don't see that often. I'm an early riser. It was only 5:45 and the sign on the dining room door said breakfast started at 6:30, but the door was open so I went in. The lady there (the owner or manager, I believe) said, "I'm sorry we're not ready for breakfast yet, but would you like a cup of coffee to get you started?" As I reached for the coffee she looked at my hand and said, "I see you're married. Do you need a second cup for your wife?" I thought that was very observant and thoughtful. So I got my coffee and sat on the tree-shaded patio and watched the sunrise. The patio has picnic tables and patio chairs and is surrounded by a low wall lined with flowerpots. It was a delightful place to sit and wake up with my coffee. The hotel is close to the highway but traffic is so light that that was not a problem. Being in an isolated area I wasn't sure if my mobile phone would get a signal, but it did. No Wi-Fi, but I managed to survive for a day without Facebook, etc.; in fact I was glad to be away from all that for a time. I can't imagine why I would want to sit in my room staring at a computer screen when there were much more interesting things outside. I'm looking forward to going back and exploring the area some more, and I will definitely stay at Lee's Ferry Lodge again.

Lisa H.

Yelp
Stayed in one of the rooms connected to the dining hall. There are trailers out back that are adequate but not recommended. The food at the dinner is above average for the out of the way location and they have a large beer selection also

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Horrible accommodations, service and food. We rented a "suite" for $130 that was actually a rundown trailer home with boarded up and broken windows, visibly stained bedding and carpet, and a bad smell. We were awoken by a bat flying around our room at 2 in the morning. The windows weren't open, so the bat had been in the trailer all along. There were bugs in the beds or in the room that bit me at night. Other reviews said the food was good, but I recommend that travelers passing through keep on driving. The fries and fish were frozen foods cooked and served with packaged condiments and orange slices. The service is the most frustrating. The staff was unaccommodating and not at all welcoming. This place is in a remote area so there aren't a lot of options, but I suggest travelers check out other motels until the owners of Lee's Ferry take more pride in their establishment.

Jessica R.

Yelp
I am sad to say that I have only had the privilege of eating here and not staying here. I am hoping to have a weekend stay soon. The restaurant is amazing. When you walk in you are greeting by the friendly staff. Everyone has a smile on their face and is welcoming. Next you are handed the menu. It is full of pages and pages of the beers they offer. I was very excited to see they had Lambik. They really have everything...from Coor's to rare IPAs. Then there is the food. Oh my gosh - the food!! I was there with a party of 6 and we all ordered one of their burgers. I had the Blue Burger. It was SO good. I put nothing on it. It doesn't need mayo, catchup, or mustard. Throw on the tomato, pickle, onion, and lettuce if you would like. The Outhouse burger is amazing as well. But a burger with garlic could never go wrong. Now let's talk fries...if you look closely you will see a bowl of potatoes sitting on a counter. Odd, right? Take a closer look. Right behind that bowl you will see the the potato press for the fries. They are that fresh. And they are so delicious. This is a must do. This is a place that if you passed up you would regret.

Boris D.

Yelp
I loved this place because of the 'family' atmosphere there is to it. We stopped there on our way between the North Rim and Page, AZ. The room was OK. It could use some improvement. In the morning we went to get breakfast around 7am and it was the most awesome breakfast we've ever had. Not because of the food (it was great!) but because of the atmosphere! Everyone was in a good mood, joking, etc. We loved it. The service was perfect too. The room is a bit expensive but other motels/hotels in the area are more expensive and not necessarily better... I definitely recommend this place for a night!

Abby K.

Yelp
I seriously love this place and couldn't wait to get reception on my phone to post a great review ;) My husband and I found this place on Yelp with its decent reviews and decided we would stay for a few nights since we had plans to visit the north rim. When we got there it was an hour before check-in, so we decided to eat and have some beer. I had their wings and they were some of the best wings I've ever had. My husband had their tangy steak and it was also delicious. The sauce on it is outstanding, their beer selection is like no other in that area, and their fries w their BBQ sauce is outstanding. The room was small but cozy. Had no hot water issues. The scenery opening up your door is like no other. Rock formations at every turn. Absolutely breathtaking. Tammy and Sam, two waitresses couldn't be more nice. Tammy made me the Condor Sandwich for dinner even though it's supposed to only be lunch menu item. Tammy also gave us directions on how to get to the place in Utah to try and get a permit for North Coyotte Buttes and made the recommendation to go to Zion National Park- which turned out to be a great suggestion! We had one of the best hikes there. Would definitely recommend this Motel/Restaurant to someone else. Can't wait to come back and we plan on staying longer next time. Great room, great food, wonderful staff, and affordable! 5 stars all around :D

Yelp
Modest, quiet and comfortable place that is close to great fishing and has EVERYTHING a fisherman needs: fully stocked Fly Shop; Guides; Boat and Equipment Rentals; great restaurant that serves all day; gas station; and a full bar. Nestled in a picturesqe Marble Canyon. A place to relax and marvel at natural beauty and what is essential in life. What else does anyone need?

Yelp
We spent one night here and it was the favorite stay of our trip. This funky, quirky lodge is not for someone expecting modern elegance- Our room had a "dogs riding in pickup trucks"decorating scheme- no TV, no WiFi- my husband and I sat outside in the pitch dark star gazing and actually talked to each other! The food was good- my vegetarian husband took a ribbing from the waitstaff and cook out there in cow country but they were able to accomodate him with a delicious black bean burger from their lunch menu. The beer selection was overwhelming, and the breakfast in the am was super. The room was in a modified trailer-clean, good mattress, plenty of hot water, good AC, and oh so quiet. Enjoyed the outdoor seating areas to enjoy the fabulous views and the friendly kitty that came visiting.

Yelp
What a great oasis after driving from the south rim. The food was great, the drinks were cold, we sat on the patio and soaked in the crazy landscape of AZ. The room cooled down after we blasted the A/C. The bathrooms were really clean. The cliffs were so pretty we woke at sunrise to watch them light up.

Yelp
Yep, I am a fan. I am usually a three stars kind of guy but this lodge was special. It was not for its elegance or any recent updates, but rather its location and charm. It sits right on highway 89A but I can't say that I heard any traffic go by. The view of the mountains all around was awesome. We saw sun rises and sunsets that were spectacular. The entire place is surrounded by the red clay that it is built on. My wife and I stayed two nights here. We were in this area for the meteor showers and were traveling with her sister and brother in law. We booked bungalow #9 located just behind the restaurant. There were two rooms in this building, one with two double beds and one with one double bed and two twin beds. So, our accommodations could have easily slept eight people if needed. It was really roomy and even had a great rocking chair and table kitchen table with four chairs. Unfortunately, the refrigerator did not work but our coolers served us well in its absence. There was one common bathroom. Now, don't let the 1960s wooden paneling scare you off. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the linens were not thread bare as we have seen in some places that we have stayed. The restaurant was a key player in this stay. The food was delicious. And, the beer and wine selection was a mind blower. Even their friendly staff, some who live right there on the premises, raved about the ribs and steaks. So, my wife ordered the ribs and loved them, and we have had some really good ribs in Memphis. My steak was fabulous. It was a great cut of meat and my hat was off to the chef. He prepared it perfectly medium and the charred flavor was delicious. Our other meals there were equally as good, and I love a big breakfast. They had it all. If you stay here, plan to eat here, too. You will not be disappointed. Over all, should I ever want to go meteor watching again, I'll be booking a room here. You can bet on it.

Yelp
Great room! Cozy yet spacious. It has a cabin feeling, with the comfort of a hotel room. The restaurant was very good too. Very nice staff. We will be visiting this place again.

Yelp
I spent two night here and really enjoyed the stay. A fantastic location with views of the top of Grand Canyon. So quiet we spoke in whispers. Food was great and rooms were adequate. People were real friendly.

Yelp
Great place. The guys and girls that work here are friendly and really helpful, the food is delicious and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We've stayed here a few times and will stay again when next in the area.

Yelp
This was such a relaxing vacation with my Pugs and my wife. I hikes the dogs across the hwy. where there was a great trail and the beautiful vermillion cliffs. The staff were great and we had the place to ourselves during the week. Will be back soon.
