Legacy Hotel at IMG Academy

Overall great. Rooms are nice. Slightly dated. Breakfast is overpriced for what looks like a standard continental breakfast. The amenities are great. Lunch was good and reasonable. Parents didn’t watch their kids while we were there. They were too busy at the bar while the kids ran wild and were loud past quiet hours. But that’s not the hotels fault just poor parenting.

Stayed Friday–Sunday during a soccer tournament. The room carpet had a noticeable odor, bed was dirty felt like something was in the sheets like sand all of which was reported to a staff member, but no follow-up or alternative was offered. On checkout day, we left the room around 9 a.m. and returned at 10 a.m. to find the bedding removed from both beds, our lunch for the day, and my daughters vegetable drink gone from the refrigerator, despite not having checked out. We paid higher than expected due to the hotel’s proximity to the fields. Breakfast was not included and bathroom amenities were inadequate. There was no soap dispenser— they offer a 30ml small shower gel that ran out quickly and was not replaced after cleaning. We had to request more toiletries later that night just before showering. The location is convenient and traffic is light, making it easy to get around, but overall the hotel experience did not match the price paid. They offered a $60 refund after this experience.

What a major letdown coming to this property. This was supposed to be built to serve high wealth individuals from across the world. Families of the kids that attend IMG academy, and those traveling for events as well as local travel. The property is understaffed, underserved, underutilized, and is in complete disrepair. The food coming from the dining room is spoiled, the phone in the room is in operable and can’t even ring the front desk. There are no microwaves in the rooms and the continental breakfast is $18. If you walk outside you find everything in dis-repair - all the seat cushions on chair chairs Are torn and shredded and it is virtually blight everywhere you look. No management is visible regardless of where you turn and this is obviously a ship running with no Captain. I tried to post pictures but every time I do it blocks my review how can you charge upwards of $200 a night for the equivalent of a motel six? I don’t think that this is what Nick belliteri had intended.

The villas are nice and spacious, perfect for a family of five. They’re especially great if it’s raining, since you can cook, relax, and spend time together inside. The place is clean, and if you need anything, you can just call the hotel. Very convenient overall.

Came to the restaurant at this hotel for lunch. The waitress ignored me and served everyone else. Even people who came in after me as if I was invisible. I made eye contact with her several times. I should not have to chase down a waitress to give me a menu or take my order when she is happily helping everyone else around me. It was not busy at all, only 3 or 4 other tables taken. I like the hotel itself and it's in a great location. My son attends the school, so I often eat at the restaurant with no issues but have had other waitresses that were friendly and helpful. This waitress that was working on 9/18/25 was not either.

All the rooms were a great size and the staff extremely helpful and always smiling. Hotel was perfect distance from the IMG Academy so you can walk over and visit several times a day. Pool was great and so was the gym. Restaurant / cafe had the perfect selection and vibe all day long. Stayed six days whilst three kids were at camp boarding + non boarding. Highly recommend!

Hotel has an extremely nice front desk staff and the guys who also drives the IMG shuttle golf carts are very kind, helpful and a great representation of staff that cares. The extra amenities are awesome they include Mini golf, swimming pool, corn hall, table, tennis and more. Take advantage of all of the great features at the legacy hotel in Bradenton.

Stayed here for a long period for a sports tournament and was very happy! Rooms are large and comfortable. And the hotel facilities are very nice. The pool is large and well maintained as well as the outside putting green. All the staff were super friendly and made our stay so enjoyable.

I had an amazing day at the Legacy Hotel! This hotel is just steps away from the IMG Academy campus and it provides a comfortable yet practical means of housing for parents and guests. The amenities and rooms are modern. They seem very well capped and cleaned. The food at the restaurant is very good and the service at the bar is exceptional.

3 day/2 night stay, got a feel for it and, pre-summary, for the price it should gave been perfect, not just good in spots: Comfort: very good, great mattress, good pillow, good sheets, easy temp control for room Cleanliness: pretty good for bed and bath, but: - I found a stray m&m (see pics) pushed up to the bed indicating vacuuming but not looking - the clock was not only set to an incorrect time but was disgustingly filthy (see pics) Amenities: nice pool with cabanas, gym, nice loft, but weird lobby/eatery mix - coffee maker in room, that's nice, coffee cup lids too small for cups, that's stupid Cost for Quality: it was about $450 a night, and I know prices are up but that's steep for being outside of a nowhereville, *with breakfast an extra $20, though the buffet had some decent offerings Beers: their best beer on offer was Guinness... do better, people!

Hotel is horrible for the price and attempt at luxury! The wait staff have too much going on (the Hispanic girls are very nice), the food takes forever! And it's not good at all!!!! The rooms are basic at best, you hear all the kids running on the floor above, tv is tiny, bathroom doesn't have a fan, no shampoo or conditioner, no fridge, no microwave, The stay has been so bad! That despite the location and benefits to being so close I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! What a WASTE!!!!!! It's literally horrible!!!! Get an Airbnb I implore you DO NOT STAY HERE

For a hotel listed as 4-stars, this was the dingiest, grungiest hotel I have ever paid for expecting something decent. Any 2.5 star, cheap, roadside motel has been at least as clean. If I paid for Super 8 or Budget Special, I would expect this and rate accordingly. For a listed 4 star hotel, this was very far below expectation. I would avoid and try many of the other Bradenton area hotels where I have had no seriously failed expectations. If anyone here feels my expectations were too high, please let me know and I will adjust the review. I very much feel this an accurate representation of the sub-par experience. Multiple photos included for support of this rating, making me consider a 1-star. The shower had numerous areas on par with the most bidget hotel. My door was open when I returned the first time. I was honestly concerned it had been tampered with and/or vandalized. I then discovered it did not close without a very stern pull after exiting the room. The final insult was the most disgusting alarm clock I have ever seen. I was seriously disgusted touching it. The photo should show all of the gummy residue. How many years has it been since anyone cleaned it? Unacceptable.

Checkin here was quick, friendly and easy breezy! Beautiful, modern and clean are the 3 words I would use to describe this property. Really comfortable beds and bedding. Ample parking out front. Checking out as late as 12 noon wasn't a problem here. Greatly appreciated! Didn't get a chance to use the amenities due to time constraints but they looked amazing too! Rooms are huge! Would definitely stay here again.

I was here for a wedding and picked this hotel bc it looked modern and upscale. Although everyone else stayed right on the beach I still had a nice stay. The bathroom was spacious and clean, the room was a good size just for me and I had a nice pool and palm trees view. The front desk staff: "Caitlin" was friendly and professional, its always nice to be greeted and find someone willing to aid you in anyway possible. She even escorted me to the elevators. The lobby was beautiful & I always saw staff cleaning & kept it so the entire weekend. I didnt have any breakfast but or looked good. Overall a pleasant comfortable quiet stay even with tons of football players/kids there. Luckily I was on a higher floor lol. If I was back in that area I would stay here again. I would suggest maybe having a fee more items on the dining menu but otherwise it was a nice stay.

Early this morning around midnight, my family (including my 5 year old daughter) was displaced from our AirBNB due to a pest infestation after having a multiple hours-long delayed flight to Tampa. I was extremely upset after contacting their support center and not receiving any assistance and having to vacate the rental to try and find a hotel with availability. Upon arrival to IMG Legacy, Justin was incredibly kind, offering condolences and reassuring us that he would be able to accommodate our last minute need for a room. He was empathetic to the rough day of traveling we had, and he even gave us a complimentary breakfast (the reason we are traveling is my fiance and I are celebrating getting engaged on Sunday, and we wanted to bring my daughter to celebrate the blending of our family). Justin was thoughtful, professional, and absolutely a blessing after a difficult day. These are traits I do not often see in younger adults these days, and he demonstrated incredible hospitality. Kudos to him for being an outstanding employee! After all of the interactions with him, and having a wonderful room, we are looking into extending our stay for the rest of our trip.

This place is amazing. My wife and I were searching for a hotel for an hour or so and stopped at a few places that were just awful. I saw this place on our maps and decided to give it a shot. When we walked in we were greeted by Jackie at the front desk. She was very helpful and understanding of our situation. She showed us a room before we booked it because we were just having awful luck finding a decent hotel. We were blown away by the cleanliness, modern style, and overall newness of the property. Jackie also gave me a military discount and we couldn't be happier with our decision to stay here. I highly recommend staying here if this is close to your destination. Even if you have to drive further to stay here, do it. You will not be disappointed.

Rooms have mold in them. If you're not allergic go ahead and book. Lots of construction in the area. Staff are nice

I stayed at the hotel after finding a great deal on Expedia at the last minute. It was easy to find. Great location to all of the things and places I knew I would be visiting while on my short stay in Bradenton. I was greeted and made to feel very welcome as soon as I stepped in the door. There are two reasons why I'm not giving the hotel 5 stars. One they use flat sheets on the bed instead of fitted which may not be a big deal for some but let's face it getting in bed and one turn to adjust between pillows and the flat sheet is no longer tucked in and instead is being used as a cover. Second reason, the thermostat is very very bright at night and lights up the entire room. I used hand towels in an attempt to cover it up. It didn't work. I spoke to the front desk supervisor in my last evening and he offered to send engineering by to see if they could do something but I declined. Anyway, the room was awesome. Great size. The bed was comfortable. I had a small frig to keep bottles of water cold. The bathroom was awesome. Great size. Bright. Large mirror. The shower pressure was awesome. You can turn the water on at the opposite end of the shower head which was the best. I had a view of the beautiful pool. Which not many guests used but my friend and I enjoyed several hours at the pool during my stay and it was perfect. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. A spa. Fitness center. I didn't use any of the amenities however other guests seem to be enjoying them. Parking was complimentary. And easy in and out of the hotel. Valet parking was available however I didn't use the service. I would for sure recommend this hotel to others. It was clean. The staff was all super friendly and it was beautifully decorated.

My first time staying here, it just happened to be the first night they have ever been opened. This place needs a little work and the employees need a little more training, but this place is off to a good start. The chefs like to douse everything in salt. The waiters can't figure out that 3 servers per guest is enough and other guests need service also. They are 4-6 idle valets at the door at all times even though the majority of guests park themselves with the lot location being practically next to the door already. Some door hardware has been mounted upside down (I'm not sure how they passed inspection). Some features in the room didn't work properly. The windows/vents or something is very thin or not sealed because you can very clearly hear everything going on outside. I'd really put my experience at a 3 star but I can see they actually want to put forth an effort to be a good place
