Wow! What a great food experience in a hidden gem downtown. The atmosphere was so lively and elegant at the same time.
Service was on top of it, super nice, fast, attentive. The decor and feel of the place both inside and out make it luxurious and well put together.
Octopus was perfectly cooked though wish there was more of a finish on it with a torch or char. Potato croquet was amazing addition.
Interesting burrata, super creamy, pesto was not overpowering, the focaccia bread was insanely good. Super fluffy, warm when it came out, good crisp on outside, not too dense of a dough.
Pizza-Tartine topped with a lot of caramelized onions almost like a jam, and the goat cheese seems little, but it was super creamy and perfect amount. Don’t think the greens went as well with this, would’ve considered softly chopped basil to complement better.
Oxtail ragu sauce was overall good, a little too acidic. Wished there was a more savory depth of meaty flavor and a tad more salt. The pasta itself tasted home made and perfectly perfectly al dente. Soaked up the sauce really well.
Pineapple desert could’ve had some more doing to the pineapple, whether a grill or char, or some caramelization. The pairing with the anise gelato was very complimentary to spices. candied Pistachios were a nice touch, and not too sweet. Really good as a light desert!
