Legend Inn Taiping

Hotel been there for quite some time. Rooms spacious and well maintained and refurbished. Cleanliness ok. Water pressure great. Overall decent mid priced hotel Cons: old air condition, cold but will take some time.

We booked two rooms and both had serious cleanliness and hygiene issues. In one room, a complimentary water bottle had already been opened and consumed by previous guests but was still placed on the table. In the other room, one of the water bottles in the fridge had also been consumed and left inside. This is completely unacceptable and shows very poor housekeeping standards. Both rooms had an unpleasant smell, were partitioned, extremely noisy, and not properly cleaned. The environment felt unhygienic and caused itchiness during our stay. I informed the front desk about these issues, but the only response I received was “okay,” with no follow-up or action taken. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

This place is a true legend like its name but NOT in a good way. It’s a 90s hotel that thinks it’s still 1996. Cons: -expensive (CNY week, >RM200 for a king room) - run-down (multiple neglected maintenance issues: cracked paints, scuffed walls) Avoidable cons: -DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY…. Big coils of long hair all over…neither of us have hair that long, coffee and unknown liquid splashes all over white walls, disgusting shower head -bathroom exhaust that doesn’t work -an extremely hazardous hairdryer - see pictures -kettles with cords so short, it barely sits on the counter. -requires a RM200 (this is for 4 rooms) deposit in case you drink the precious bottles of chargeable water and don’t pay, or damage the ‘extremely well maintained (not)’ rooms Laughable cons: -a ‘minibar’ stocked exclusively with CHARGEABLE bottles of cheap mineral water, but hey, they come in two sizes! Debatable pro: -It the only hotel with available rooms (red flag in hindsight) -free but very limited parking In summary; don’t come here if sleeping in your car is an option, because… ‘why would you?’

1. Plenty of free parking for hotel guest. 2. The mister at the counter was friendly and efficient. 3. The room was spacious and well designed. 4. The toilet wasn't clean. There was hair on the walls. And one of the towels still had stains on it. Overall good for value.

I had stay at Legend Inn Hotel for CNY ,and face bed bugs.I file complaint after that but they didn't reply till I ask them again weeks after. They reply there is no bed bugs but I confirm there is bed buds as the red spot appear after I slept overnight there.

02/11/2025 I have checked out from the hotel today and TOTALLY DISSAPOINTED with my stay in room 219 and furthermore I was also charged for the 4 bottles of mineral water from the room mini bar ( that DO NOT have any signages about it being chargeable or complimentary ) 🤦🏻 WHY NONE OF THE STAFF INFORM ME THAT IT IS NOT COMPLIMENTARY ?? With all the room defects ( wash basin broken and flooded the bathroom floor & this morning can't flush ??! ) I am totally very very upset with my stay 😤 After all the room issues .. the hotel still want to charge me for the mineral water ?? THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE 🤨 I demand an official apology from the hotel & explain to me as to why all these can happened?? WHY THE ROOM IS NOT BEING PROPERLY CHECKED FIRST BEFORE RELEASING FOR GUEST TO STAY ?? And WHY hotel Manager do not have any courtesy to at least meet up with me upon check out , apologize & explain to me WHY NONE OF THE STAFF INFORM ABOUT THE MINERAL WATER ! I totally DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ALL .. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

Surprisingly clean & properly maintained room though old hotel. Great location next to Masjid daerah Taiping

Not so good. It may not have bad hotel rooms however the food is not good,in fact once quite long ago i got a stomach problem from this place (or maybe it was another place, im really not sure . In other words id better stop writing about this place).
