15 Best Breweries in Charlotte

"After the success of Legion’s original location in Plaza Midwood, the brewery’s second opening earlier this year made perfect sense. Although Charlotte at large has a well-developed beer culture, SouthPark had been late to the party, making this an especially welcome addition. The new spot is stunning, with a circular bar, high ceilings, and lots of natural light. You’ll find seating upstairs, too, plus a patio and a private event space. The best beers on tap come in the styles most reliably ordered at American craft breweries: IPAs and sours." - Lauren Levine

I went here with two co-workers. Overall this place is okay, but let's lay out the pluses and the opportunities. Pluses: We were greeted quickly and sat right away. Our waiter was very attentive and provided drink suggestions. The Smash burger was very good. The pepperoni pizza was also a favorite with the group. Opportunities: They don't have french fries, and when I asked the waiter if they had fries, he said they had potato wedges. What they actually have are fingerling potatoes cut in half. If you serve a burger, you need to have actual fries. The place can be very noisy and hard to hear conversations. The roof is way to high which causes echos and there are no real soft surfaces to absorb the sound.

We had a great experience at Legion Brewing! While there was a bit of a wait before our server arrived, everything else more than made up for it. The food was outstanding—my partner ordered the fried chicken sandwich and said it was the best he's ever had. I went with the salmon bowl, and it was equally delicious. We also tried the Pilsner, which was served at the perfect temperature and tasted fantastic. One of the best parts? It’s super dog-friendly! We loved being able to enjoy our meal on the patio with our pup by our side. Great atmosphere, great food, and a welcoming vibe for both humans and dogs alike.

We stopped in on the recommendation from a friend who lives in Charlotte. Good beers, good food, and great service. The wings are delicious! We had an excellent time here for lunch. We'll be back the next time we're in Charlotte.

We've been here 3 times now, and it's one of our favorite spots for both food and drinks. The beers are really delicious- I'm a fan of the pale ale and pilsner. My husband loves that he can get a THC drink, too. There are cocktails and wine, so something for everyone. The food here is AMAZING! Totally elevated compared to what people would expect at a brewery. We've had the duck fat chicken wings, the brewers board, Pho MI dip sandwich, one of the pork sandwiches, Mac and cheese, and the miso romesco salmon entrée which was incredible! You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and everything so far has been made to perfection. Really good service here as well. We've had table service twice and sat at the bar, too. Shout-out to our server this past weekend, Sarah... On top of everything, checked on us regularly, and was really sweet. The space is beautiful - lots of windows and light, open but still cozy atmosphere. Love the outdoor seating, too. Highly recommend! We plan to be regulars since it's so close to our house!

Google
Three hours here thanks to a hostess who put me next to the only table that had a power outlet nearby. I spent the afternoon from here as my "office." A tasty beer was enjoyed and a plate of their sweet and spicy chicken wings. Service was friendly and since it wasn't too busy, my server didn't mind me sitting here for so long and taking up a table. It's a very warm and open space with high ceilings and the exposed wooden barrels. There's a really comfortable vibe and I enjoyed the place very much.

Google
Never expected this type of food and level of service from a brewery. Outstanding! Unique menu items with fresh ingredients.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious! I had the salmon salad, and it was fresh, flavorful, and simply perfect. The restaurant offers plenty of spacious indoor and outdoor seating, creating a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal in a chill environment. Highly recommend!

Google
Although I ordered my food to go this time, the interior of this place is awesome. The ambiance makes you want to stay and eat. If you like dry rub wings, these ones are really good like, on a level that you will crave them once a week..

Yelp
My fiancee and I hosted an event at Legion a few weeks ago. I can't rave enough about our experience. Gabby, the Event Planner, guided us every step of the way and was absolutely phenomenal. She made the experience seamless for us! The food was delicious, the decorations the staff put up were beautiful. I can't recommend this place enough!

Yelp
This week's specials were on point--loved all the fresh produce and standout guest appearance from the cauliflower rice Heirloom Tomato Carpaccio - Thinly sliced heirloom tomatoes topped with creamy burrata, cantaloupe relish, and jalapeño basil oil, served with warm sourdough toast. A fresh, flavorful twist on a summer starter! Grilled Salmon - Honey-glazed salmon served over coconut cauliflower rice, finished with summer fruit salsa and crumbled feta. Light, bright, and packed with seasonal flavor!

Yelp
Food was inconsistent, I order the exact same chicken sandwich as my family member and mine was 90% breading and 10% sadness. The service was not good and theres some training opportunities for the staff. One example, don't keep piling plates onto the table while not removing app plates. Ive tried to give Legion a chance, each time open minded, but it always ends in disappointment. Over priced, low execution, and subpar service. I wont be returning, theres too many breweries that serve more appealing food with better service.

Yelp
Super close to our hotel so we popped into this place to just grab a drink and a quick bite after a long drive from Atlanta. We were able to sit on the patio, which was super great. Lots of families, kids dogs. Everybody was ordering the charcuterie boards with Pita chips, but we didn't. We ended up splitting the pho sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. We did start off with a beer bread which has a salty crispy top and it was good. The drinks were the best. I love the pineapple margarita my husband was happy with his dark beer. I don't know if it's because I was tired because traveling all day, but I didn't think the server was that great. That was the only downsize to the whole event. The food was really good. Wish the service would've been better to match the food.

Yelp
We stopped in at Legion brewery this past Saturday because we were running errands with the dog, saw that they had outdoor heaters and I was really wanting brunch. Turns out we were totally out of luck with brunch because they only serve it on Sundays. We debated going somewhere else but our server was so nice, so we stuck around. We interacted with probably 4 different staff members and they were all so nice and helpful! I may not have been able to get brunch food but I gladly ordered a mimosa ..,no beer-mosa for me, this was the real deal and it was delicious! There was a lot of beef/pork on the menu which made my husband happy but I eat leaner meats and veggie centric meals, so fewer options for me. I went with the pretzel, and sides of sweet potato and broccoli (I know right?!) he had the ban mi and enjoyed it but there were a few pieces of meat on it that were on the rare side and he picked them off. The food and drink were high quality, the staff were great, they had a great patio with heaters and blankets if you wanted but if it's a Saturday and you want brunch, you will need to go elsewhere.

Yelp
Legion Brewing is the brewpub you need to stop into if you're looking for great food and brews. The taproom is beautiful, and at the time of this review, it had up its holiday decor. The taproom featured a large array of beers and a solid pub-style menu for food. We tried their South Park Dip platter, which was out of this world. Drink-wise, we tried a couple of IPAs, a sour, and their Espresso Martini Flight! The martini flight was divine. Service was solid, and the food came out so fast. All in all, I recommend this spot for sure and plan to come back!

Yelp
Huuuuuge space - I'm still blown away at how large it is. This may seem like a standard brewing company with good beer but it also has the most amazing pierogis you will ever consume. I still think about them. Service was fast even though we were there on a Friday night. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We decided to visit because of Burger Week. Unfortunately, we found out after we ordered drinks that the burger week didn't start until later in the afternoon which wasn't a problem. The service was good and we didn't have any issues. The cider we ordered was a delicious blackberry. I would come back for the cider! Brunch menu was pretty subpar. We ordered the wings and the Hen's friends. The wings were alright. They didn't come with ranch or anything so we had to ask for that. The Hen's breakfast was pretty awful. The eggs were cooked correctly but the sausage wasn't cooked enough and the potatoes were l soft from them not cooking them long enough. I wouldn't order either option again if we came back. They did have a nice outdoor patio with some live music but the flies were pretty bad so I'd recommend sitting inside if you decide to make the trip.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and its a brewery with sandwiches, wings, and bbq. The place is pretty big and can a bit loud. I tried the food and I was not impress. Cant really share much cos my expectation was high on the food but the reality was the food just okay. I might come back and give them another chance if I am back in Charlotte but most likely not.

Yelp
I was here yesterday. Honestly, I don't understand the point of asking how I want my steak cooked if you're just going to bring out a piece of shoe leather anyway -- but whatever, this place is clearly more about the beer than the food. The beer was good, but the service was another story. Our waitress was dirty, drunk, and rude. I asked her for sauce three times, and each time she just sighed and walked away -- and never actually brought it. Even though the place was almost empty, everything took forever, and her attitude was simply awful. She acted like I was her mother-in-law who had shown up uninvited. I've never had a worse server in my life. I always leave a tip, but for the first time ever, I left zero yesterday. This happened on the evening of April 28th; she was serving the outside area. Also, there were five empty tables outside when we arrived, but for some reason the hostess made us wait -- and then seated other people who came after us first. But maybe I didn't see everything clearly, and that's not my main complaint anyway. The real issue was the waitress, who thought it was okay to drink on the job and treat customers like they personally forced her to show up for work.

Yelp
10/10 for ambience! Amazing Location, beautifully decorated for the holidays. Beer selection and cocktails (apple pie mule) were excellent incredible ! We did order some appetizers and they came out within 5 minutes of ordering no joke. 10/10 a must do in Charlotte.

Yelp
Wanted to give a shout out to Gabby and her team at Legion South Park. All went smoothly from start to finish. The service as well as the food quality was exceptional. I would highly recommend Legion for your next event

Yelp
Very good brewery with excellent food options too! Loved the Smash Burger and Chicken wings...pizza is good too, potatoes are wonderful, enjoyed the lamb tacos, great beers and loved the flight options too. Service is outstanding they have great outdoor seating too! Definitely recommend this brewery if you want great beers and food too!

Yelp
Came here early afternoon on Sunday for late lunch/early dinner with family. They are limited on space to watch football on the tvs in the dining area, but we had a seat directly below one and could watch the panthers game. We split the pretzel and the rib sliders. They were both great, but the rib sliders were the winners for us! The slaw saved our tastebuds from the heat and the everyone enjoyed them. For the meal, I got the grilled chicken sandwich after debating the fried chicken grilled cheese (the server said it was spicy). Good ambiance and great attention was paid to us from our server. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
I had such an amazing time here! I came here with my very newly adopted pup Leila, and we just had the best time. We sat outside and it was a really nice day to sit outside. Sophie, our waitress, was so kind to us and just super supported our new rescue bond. I ordered Prosecco, which was good (especially for a brewery), as well as the duck confit sandwich (YUM YUM YUM!). But def don't recommend their boiled peanuts (better Southern bet at a random gas station lol) - while I didn't love this particular item, I loved everything else I tried plus the service. Also, I did go to the bathroom here, and super clean bathrooms! Always a plus in my book! :)

Yelp
Stopped by after we went yo the mall to grab a bite! Great place and food was good, they have an outside area, which is great for kids and fur babies. I would highly recommend stopping by on your way out!

Yelp
We haven't been back to this brewery in awhile, so decided to revisit... We arrived pretty early (by 5:30 pm), so there were plenty of open tables. However, initially, the Hostess tried to take us to a crappy seat (claustrophic area, facing the kitchen). I basically refused, and said I'd rather wait. Well, I knew I didn't need to because I saw plenty of seatings available, with better views. We quickly got seated in an open area by the window. Why do Hostesses try to seat you in crappy areas when there are PLENTY of better tables available?? It's a joykill right off the bat...so WHY?!? Once we got seated, a waiter was right on it...and he stayed super-attentive throughout. We started with this SouthPark Dip Platter. Well, I actually saw a pic of this on Yelp prior to...and thought it'd be all-out delicious. Well, sadly, it wasn't as great as I had hoped. I thought it'd be a tad tastier?? Presentation wasn't all that either...despite better pics on Yelp. For the entree, I went for the Carmelized Short Rib Sliders...and now, THIS was quite tasty! My husband went with the Fried Catfish Po Boy Tacos, and he really liked that too. We also added Southern Green Beans with Bacon...and that was delish as well. My husband enjoyed his blond beer (??), and I absolutely loved my Mango Passion. It was so delicious, I nearly chugged it down lol. Despite a questionable beginning, we ended up enjoying ourselves here again. We liked most of the foods, but I guess the big disappointment was the Dip Platter. We'll definitely skip that next time. I must add, however, that the food presentation was quite sloppy all throughout. I basically had to "fix" all of the foods before taking pics. Given that it wasn't that busy, it would have been nice if the kitchen staff tried a little harder making the dishes a bit more presentable. Also, I don't recall hearing any overhead music...in a brewery?!? If it was on, it was on really low...'cuz again, I can't even recall hearing anything. This is a pretty attractive looking brewery, but the ambiance just wasn't there tonight. I really struggled between 3 and 4 stars this time due to all the reasons mentioned, but the super-delicious Short Rib Sliders saved the day...keeping them at 4 stars.

Yelp
Ok, I am definitely NOT a brewpub guy for a meal. Usually avoid them like Flat Earther avoids science, but hot damn is the food here good. The inside is unique, kinda makes you feel like you're inside a wooden beer barrel, so bonus points for design! The menu, while not extensive seems curated to concentrate on doing a few things very well, and adding in seasonal items/entrees. The service is excellent, my server Jo was amazing. I tried the Pho Mi Dip, and wow! Blown away by the perfect flavors, perfectly cooked tender meat and crunchy veggies. Even the baguette was both crispy and pillowy, exactly as a Banh Mi roll should be. They served it with a couple of ounces of broth to dip it in which just added to the perfection of the sandwich. I have eaten at every restaurant in the Piedmont Town Center and this is easily #1 for food, service, atmosphere and value. Don't pass it by. I almost did because "it's just another brewpub". It's not. Added current menus as of today, 6/26/23 since they do change.

Yelp
Wow! That's my new note for brewery food in NC. Everything on the menu looked good! It's a very locally prepared menu with serious attention to details. We finally settled for the duck fat wings and the pho mi dip sandwich with sweet potato fries. The wings are contestants for best I've had! Perfect flavor and perfect mix of crispy and fall off the bone. The sandwich was also awesome. The meat had great lightly smoky flavor and the dip was so good I could drink it. The building and ambiance are great. It's a really nice building in South Park. The inside almost feels like you're in a huge barrel. The service was excellent

Yelp
Short visit to Charlotte and family suggested this would be a great place to eat and try a few drinks. It's a very nice place and I learned that it is multi-level. It was a cool evening, but we opted to sit on the patio. A great place to people watch. Our server was great, in spite of being responsible for quite a few tables. She offered suggestions on appetizers and drinks. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and drinks, considering how many people were there. All and all, we had a very nice evening with family.

Spencer S.

Yelp
Chicken wings were fall off the bone. Quesadilla was fantastic. Beer is great. Our server Nate was the best and made the experience great. Great vibe all around I would recommend.

Yelp
Don't let the brewery vibe fool you, Legion (with two other locations - each with different menus) is putting out some serious eats from their kitchen. Legion's brews are well loved in the Charlotte area, their Juicy Jay IPA is signature. But they also (thankfully) do a solid Pilsner which is hard to find at competitors. The Southpark location is a great open space with a large round bar and large picnic style seating on the ground floor and additional seating on an upstairs mezzanine. The large outside patio faces West and can be hot in the summer but awnings and fans help cool the outside tables and bench seating. The menu is solid with a good selection of shareables (the dip trio is a go-to and includes pimento cheese). The steak salad is my repeat choice with medium rare slices over a huge bowl of mixed greens, corn, diced tomato, cukes, egg and avocado in large measure. Much of the offerings come courtesy their wood fired grill Service is fast, friendly and efficient. We have yet to not enjoy a visit. It will get crowded on weekend evenings but there is a lot of space and rarely a wait. Legion does food better than many nearby casual restaurants and the excellent brewery is the cherry on top of this cake.

Needmore P.

Yelp
My family and I used to love Legion. We ate there nearly weekly. The menu was fantastic--a perfect family brewery meal for brunch, lunch, or dinner. While individual orders may change from one visit to the next, the constant for our meals was the pretzel. It was perfect. The best pretzel in Charlotte. The dough was fresh and warm, served with a fantastic cheese and spectacular honey mustard. Needless to say, on our most recent visit, my family was devastated to learn that the pretzel had been removed from the menu. Its replacement: Four mediocre buns in a cast iron pan that lacked character (at best). Indeed, "the pretzel restaurant", as my now-heartbroken daughters so memorably called it, is no longer. When I asked, we were told this was a "seasonal change." It seemed to be the only difference on the otherwise consistent menu. Hopefully this terrible season ends soon. Winter is coming. We won't be back.

Yelp
Wow, Kayla was a superb guide through our fabulous gastro journey - in a barrel (if you notice the interior design). Kayla deserves an award for being the best possible face of the brewery, and she reminded me that to give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and sometimes it's charm and a sincere, beautiful smile. We started with a couple Penguin Pils American pilsners and Bob's Handmade Beer Pretzel served with Legion beer cheese and house made whole grain mustard. I asked Kayla to surprise me with something great for dinner, and she picked The Bison Burger - Wood grilled with Bourbon BBQ steak sauce, applewood bacon, Jack cheese, caramelized onions and pickles on a Keto bun. It was delicious Thanks, Kayla! You made it a beautiful evening!

Yelp
Great atmosphere inside and out. Excellent selection of beers and a nice menu selection from salads, to burgers, chicken ciabatta sandwich, starters and more. Service was good even on a busy Saturday evening. Note that sauces (burger) were heavy so might ask for these to be served on side so doesn't overpower the dish. I had one issue in that I ordered my burger to be well-done no pink --that is my preference and the burger came medium rare -very pink about 3/4 of patty. Limited dining time so i couldn't send back. Others enjoyed their meals.

Tom M.

Yelp
Food and service were really good. Won't hesitate to revisit this establishment when visiting my son and his family in Charlotte.

Yelp
2 blocks up from mall behind Doubletree on Carnegie blvd. We did a short walk there and back. This was a nice day and most people were eating outside but we chose in to avoid sun. The hostess placed at a sunny table & my wife asked could we move to table beside in shade. At this point the hostess obliged but appeared to get a snippy attitude not becoming of face of restaurant. Our waitress was older woman but worked for her tip. This setting seems like a popular after work meeting place as it was loud and full of work dressed patrons. I had 2 beers & 1 mixed drink blueberry mixed w vodka I believe wife said was strong for her. I had Pho Mi Dip, it had sort of flank steak w stemmed greens and a hot jalapeño in middle. It was different but for me the stems were not so good for swallowing and the steak was bit chewy for a sandwich. My wife had something w shrimp her go-to usually. There's prolly lots of menu items to choose between over multiple visits to decide if you like.

Yelp
I have come here a couple times and every time has been a great experience! The food here is amazing! I really love the appetizer, Bob's Handmade Beer Pretzel! Their drink selections are great! I also enjoyed my Juicy Jay Chopped Chicken salad! The inside is so beautiful and I love the ambiance of this place. I really enjoy this location!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast and was surprised by all the options available in was expecting more grab n go since it is a brewery, but they have alot of great flavorful options. Everything I had, I loved. I would definitely recommend this spot for meetups, getting some work done, or just solo.

Yelp
We tried Legion Brewing on a Saturday evening. We had about a five minute wait. Jenna was our waitress and did a great job taking care of us. My friend had the bourbon sirloin. He said it was very good. I had the shrimp and grits. It was very good. The only thing I would add to that is some bread because you need it to dip in all the great sauce. Of course the beer was good too! I would go back again.

Yelp
Such a fun, no-fuss brunch spot! Three of us came around noon on a Sunday, and there were plenty of tables available - no reservations needed. Ideal for last-minute plans or bigger groups. We saw plenty of families around, so seems easy enough with kids as well. The brunch/lunch menu is pretty expansive with plenty of options for every palate and preference. To drink, you can of course order beer or a brunch cocktail. I went for the Sunrise BeerMosa, which is a combo of their popular Juicy Jay IPA with OJ. SO GOOD. The beermosa is super juicy and lighter for a refreshing mid-day bevvy. For my meal, I ordered the pimento cheese & potato breakfast pierogi, which came with pork carnitas and eggs on top (I ordered mine sunny). This was such an innovative, tasty, and filling dish. Loved it! My brunch partners got the veggie bowl and an omelet and also enjoyed their food. For being a brewery, Legion doesn't skimp on food quality. Service was attentive and friendly. I can't wait to come back for another beer-unch!
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting an upscale brewery. This place is great. The decor it top-notch and warm. At times you feel as though you're inside a giant barrel. Add a window with hanging meats (used in some dishes and charcuterie boards for special events) and the place is full of eye candy. Unfortunately, we didn't eat but the menu looked great and all the food we saw looked delicious. Their beers are really good and they have a little something for everyone. I suggest the Supernova if you like sours or the hop Chiller if you fancy an IPA. Come in for dinner, drinks, or to watch a game. The friendly staff will make you feel welcome.

Yelp
First visit here and enjoyed it very much. Very good beer selection, appetizers, and total menu selections. Awesome atmosphere with a cool open, bierhall ambiance and vibe. After ordering our first round, we started with the SouthPark dip Platter with edamame Hummus, pimento cheese, and avacado green goddess dips which were all fantastic. However, the real superstars were the Citra-hopped pickles and goat cheese stuffed peppadew peppers! For our entrees we had the steak Cobb salad, Pho Mi Dip, Pimento Cheese and Potato Pierogis, and the Southpark Smash-Burger. All were fantastic, but the pierogis and Pho Mi dip wee particularly notable. Bottom line is that Legion Brewing South Park is a keeper due to its awesome ambience, menu and service. We will definitely be back on our next visit. I only wish it was going to be sooner.

Yelp
This place is awesome. My wife and I stopped by for a bit to check it out for the first time and tried some snacks and a drink, and we loved it. MENU It offers a decent variety of cocktails, beer, wine and food. I only tried one of the cider beers, and it was great. LOCATION AND PARKING This place is located in a beautiful and centrally located area with plenty of free parking in a parking garage. If you are not familiar with the area, the GPS will take you straight to it. Overall, 100% recommended.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with the company i work for. We arrived at 11am on a Friday. They were just opening up. We had Adam and Sarah take care of us. Service was excellent. Sarah suggested a sour beer which was great and also the Mac and cheese with was amazing. For appetizer we got this trio type dipping platter which included edamame hummus, pimento cheese, and green goddess something? Idk. But that was ok. We also had the pretzel with cheese. That was amazing! The pretzel was cut into bite size pieces and had the perfect amount of butter and salt on them. Lite crunch but still soft. And the cheese was great too. For my meal i ordered chicken fried steak without any gravy. And for my two sides i had Mac and cheese and the creole potato's. The sides were really good. The steak didn't have much flavor. Maybe with the gravy would be better? I'm just not a gravy person. No one was there since they just opened but it was clean and spacious. The food and drinks all came out in a timely manner. And drinks remained refilled. Overall great service. I'll def come back.

Yelp
YES. WILL RETURN ASAP. Quite possibly the best brewery food we've had. It took us a lengthy amount of time to decide on what to order because it all sounded so good. We decided on wings and pho me with sweet potato fries - so so delicious. Service was excellent and they are super kid friendly! Relaxed atmosphere but more "upper" scale for a brewery environment!

Yelp
Blown away by the excellent menu and kitchen at this brewpub. Very upscale. Excellent beers, of course. And fantastic patio seating.

Yelp
Legion Brewing has 3 locations in Charlotte, each one with its own flare, ambiance, and charm. All three are definitely worth visiting and serve the same craft brews (for the latest taplist checkout their respective listings on #untappd). They also serve delicious dishes, check out there menu. This location is bi-level and prkg can get tricky if u go during peak times, but the interior is probably my fav of all the locations! Beers I had here: Oaktoberfest Märzen 5.7% Penguin Pilsner 4.8% Flicker Daze 5% Next Chapter 6.5%

Yelp
Beer is really good... but food is even better. This place absolutely rocks. Pho Mi sandwich and any of the sliders are amazing. Great pizza Good vibes

Kath A.

Yelp
Service was great! A little wait for ordering drinks and food. Offers outside seating . Dogs are allowed! No towels to dry hands in bathroom. Food was average. My chicken on my salad was burnt I'm taking home for dogs. Wings were good. For prices I thought it would be better. Waitress was nice. Cost for 4 people 127.00 then add tip.

Yelp
Been here for a couple of work events since leaving my last review and the food was absolutely delicious. It's very flavorful and I think their catering menu has a lot of variety. I could not stop eating the Mac and cheese and the pork sliders. Pizza wasn't bad either. I'm an amber ale kind of woman and lean more toward the Sparkle Party with added syrup than a Pilsner or similar. They do also offer wine, and the rosé is good. I love that we have multiple locations in the area and good food and drinks are consistent.

Yelp
The cocktails are good but the do not give you much. My old fashioned was only 1/3rd of the glass even with a large ice cube in it. The strawberry Sangria was about 2/3rd of the glass. The beers were filled to the brim. The service was good. They checked on us every couple of minutes to make sure we were good even with having a good amount of customers. They all seemed kind and anybody would help not just one staff. The decor what's nice. It's two levels with outdoor seating. They had large barrels center bar. Our first server let us try the beers first with it being our first time and we were not sure what we wanted. The wings were great. They only offer a dry rub but I enjoyed the flavor and it came with a blue cheese ranch and a hot honey sauce. Highly recommend the wings. Would go again.

Yelp
Service-horrible, food ok, beer ok. I asked for my check, presented cash $100 bill. The waitress says, "we don't have enough change in our drawer", "people just usually pay with their card". I then handed her $30 cash for a $27 bill. She never returned with my change or receipt. Ten minutes passed, I had to interrupt her conversation with another employee and ask for my receipt. She then proceeded to their POS and printed my receipt. The place was packed and I highly doubt her story of no change was true. I never got my change either. I just left and ALWAYS tip 20% or more. I do not recommend this place, it is your typical brew/restaurant.

Yelp
Likes: Large variety of food options & they all sound amazing. Plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. Friendly staff. Nashville hot chicken boa buns + margarita gose both great. Dislikes: You have to be seated by a waiter rather than seat yourself. Doesn't feel as chill as other breweries. Feels like a place where you have to dress up a bit, which is not what I'd expect when going to a brewery - but it is in South Park!

Yelp
This is a great spot for a weekend lunch/brunch! We came on a Sunday and it was busy but not crowded, and we were able to get seated right away. Definitely a good place for families and bigger groups. I got the pork chili verde omelet, which was tasty and a good sized portion. I did not order a drink since my poor, tattered 30-plus-year-old self cannot handle alcohol before 5pm anymore. But based on the menu, I would definitely come back to try their beers in the evening when my decrepit body can adequately process it without giving me a splitting headache two hours later. Excited to try this place again!

Yelp
Checked out Legion Brewing in SouthPark for the first time this past Saturday, and was really pleased that we ended up coming here (after Mal Pan was a 2+ hour wait!). After a brief 15 minute wait, we were able to be seated pretty much immediately and killed that time grabbing a drink at the easily accessible bar. If the weather were nicer we could have sat outside immediately without a wait. There is plenty of seating here! The wait staff was super friendly, gave us great recommendations, and the manager was circulating the brewery the whole time checking on tables to make sure everyone was content. Definitely a memorable dinner with GREAT food and drinks. I was between the burger and the Mac and Cheese with Bison Chili--our waiter recommended the Mac N Cheese, and I'm really happy he did, it was fantastic. I imagine this place is a little less accessible during the week based on it being surrounded by corporate office buildings--something to keep in mind when planning your visit.

Yelp
This is the second time we have used Legion Brewing as the venue for a large Social Event . The food is excellent (we received compliments on it from a number of our family and friends in attendance), and Legion's Team handling the catering and logistics did a great job in meeting our every need. I would not hesitate to use their facility again in the future. Thanks to all the Legion Team who contributed in making this a great night! Kevin J

Yelp
This guy lace is the Brick Top of bars in Charlotte, beer is good, food is average, service , is hit or miss. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. There really is not anything that makes this place stand out except for foosball and a decent outdoor dining area. So it is very kid friendly, so think of it as Chucky Cheese for adults.

Yelp
Daaaang the brunch at Legion Brewing is legit! Everything and anything you order here is so good. We recommend the birria and eggs, hot chicken biscuit, and duck fat wings. Their biscuits are just so good. And you can't forget a mimosa flight to go with it all (they also have beer flights). The ambiance is chill and the place is just beautiful on the inside, but they also have outdoor seating which is nice. Plenty of space! Definitely coming back soon and bringing a bunch of people with me, love this spot!
