We have a membership for Legoland/The Aquarium so to get the most out of the passes we visit here at least twice a month as the kids enjoy being able to hang out for an hour or two building creations to their hearts desire. Though there are several area the staff could work on, if you've never been here before here is a bit of info:
Tickets are cheaper if you purchase online before visiting the attraction otherwise you will be paying double what you would purchasing tickets online. When you first go in you can take photos and do a little video experience thing, we usually just skip over the photos and the video (the staff let you through a side door into the main area).
Once you are past the little video/interactive experience you'll find the first of two rides. It is a laser gun game where you ride on a cart through a five minute (give or take) course where you can help defend the castle and save a baby dragon. Sadly half the time we go each cart has at least one non-working gun, the last time we went the front half of one of the carts didn't work. After exiting you can see your photo along with any you took at the front, the pricing is as you'd expect from an attraction like this and they are a bit expensive. Venturing further into the attraction you'll enter "Mini Land" where you'll find about a half dozen small cities or scenes made from legos that have interactive buttons you can push, most just make noise but some allow you to play small games.
Once past "Mini Land" you are in the main part of the building where you'll find a 4D Theater, the second ride, a toddler area, a playground and five different lego building areas, plus bathrooms, a cafe etc.
4D Theatre - Mists water and bubbles, plus it blows air and has light shows for different parts of the show. If you do not wish to get wet or get bubbles in your hair, I would skip this. Our kids love it but we always sit where my husband doesn't get wet since the water is chilly.
Merlin's Ride - Two people allowed on per "cart", it has bike pedals where you'll need to pedal in order to raise the cart up as you skin around. Small feet are unable to reach so you'll need an adult or older sibling on the ride with the smaller child.
Play ground - best for children 8 and under. Our daughter is ten and doesn't like going in here as much as she used to as many areas are a bit short for her.
Lego building areas - All of them are a lot of fun and you'll find hundreds of legos to use and build with. If you love building you can end up being here a while.
Bathrooms - Are generally always clean, have toilet paper, paper towels, and soap handy. I haven't had any issues with their bathrooms.
Cafe - I HIGHLY suggest eating before coming here especially if you know you'll get hungry. We are a family of four, I ordered a nacho, three hot dogs and a mini pizza (the girl turned two of the hot dogs into a meal). Even with the 20% membership discount we still paid almost $35 for everything and it was far from worth it, the "nachos" are gas station quality just small round chips with a little big of plain cheese. The hot dogs were just that a regular hot dog in a bun, and the pizza took a while to get a small mushy pizza, we were all disappointed with our food. The cafe area also generally isn't clean, I see staff walking around a lot yet half the tables end up staying dirty for the 1-2 hours we are there and when I want a place to sit in the cafe area I usually have to clean the table myself.
- Photos are from a members only type night so I was lucky to get photos of the place with no one in it.
