For $25/person, everything should be working. Be sure your kids are wearing socks - otherwise you will have to buy them from the cafe once you are inside in order for them to play on the indoor playground - a fact they failed to mention when we bought our tickets.
The very first ride was not staffed; when we asked about it, the employee first said they were cleaning it, then that they were fixing it; she told us to come back in an hour or so, & if it wasn't working she'd call someone for an ETA. I asked why that couldn't be done now - a manager was called, & lo & behold, it was now opening. Only 1 of the 3 guns kept score on the ride we were on; one score display was covered w/electrical tape, the other stayed at zero until the very end of the ride when it suddenly clicked on. One whole scene of the ride was completely omitted, because the screen was totally black.
In the Miniland, the buttons on the interactive football stadium did not work; nothing happened when the buttons were pushed or the joysticks were moved (too bad, because this is the only one that allows kids to move the figures) The rest of the display was pretty cool, there were some interactive things for the kids to do (buttons to push) but honestly, we've seen much better on LEGO Masters!
The café area is nice, parents can sit & chat while the kids play; however, it only takes payment cards - no cash at all. The area also isn't staffed or supervised beyond parents watching their own kids; there were several kids running around on the play structure in bare feet.
There was no Master Model Builder working, so the kids didn't get to actually see anything being built. I was hoping that this would be a place for my son to learn some new skills & expand his building ability. With QR codes & a hit show on TV, would think that there would be more interactive exhibits & e plotting opportunities - there aren't. There are LEGOS to play with, but no one is staffing the area, & I guess since no one is stopping kids from taking LEGOs home, there are nowhere near enough pieces to build anything to completion; but it doesn't even matter, because there aren't enough instructions for more than 1 or 2 kids at a time to look at in order to build, & there isn't anyone there to help or guide them. There is also no one cleaning up LEGOS, so you must rely on the parenting of others.
There is a Creative Workshop, w/lessons on a loop, & it looks like the times are supposed to be scheduled & posted; but the board is empty, so you have to watch the screen jump in when you can, & wait for the timed lesson to run out & start again. But again, this is not staffed, so much of the time is spent searching for pieces. All in all, it might be ok if it was staffed properly, but today was frustrating.
