"Fun for the Littlest Architect Legoland® Discovery Center is located just outside Boston in Somerville’s Assembly Row. Your visit begins with a brief tour and then the fun starts. Activities will keep kids busy for hours. Children can build a race car and then test and time it on the track, Merlin’s Apprentice will have your little ones casting magic spells and pedaling towards the skies. Kids can let loose at the Play Zone where climbing structures, slides and a jungle gym insure all that excess energy is used. There’s even a Builder’s Academy to bring out the mini architect and learn construction secrets of the trade. Many of the weekends have themed events and for the young at heart in all of us there is an Adult Night once a month, which is a fun way to start the evening before dining at one of the nearby eateries. In addition to the many outside restaurants in Assembly Row, there is a café on site with snacks or more substantial meals. Tickets can be booked on line and socks must be worn in the play zones"

We visited last week for our sons’ birthdays. It was easy to walk to from the MBTA and there were lots of other great stores nearby. When we walked in, it was bright and exciting. Andrew the staff helped us twice (check in to park and checking out with Lego purchases) and he was fantastic! The lego city was amazing! We did ride and some other little events. The kids with me were just about 9, 15 and 15. I think this is geared more towards toddlers and young elementary students but each boy found something to do. A couple things we learned by surprised was that they do not accept cash and they’re not a “Lego store.” We had pre-purchased a lego gift card for the shop which we could not use. We were originally super overwhelmed because we had brought cash but this is where Andrew came in. He helped us use their cash to card kiosk, helped us sign up for a lego account and he made my moment of panic (boys had already picked out birthday Legos that were waiting for payment) completely go away. He was fun, knowledgeable and definitely helped in the moment of embarrassment when our planned payment methods were not accepted. Thank you so much for this! The boys have since built their Legos and they enjoyed themselves.

We went as a family on a Tuesday after school. The kids had a blast. They didn't want to leave. They really enjoyed the soft kids play place, the Quest Ride, the Laser Room, Make Your Rocket . So much fun. They said it was amazing.

This Lego discovery is so much fun!! I think age is probably best for ages between 2 and 10. I went on a Wednesday, so there's no wait to get in. Keep in mind that younger children who are not 4'3 "tall can't go on the ride. For VR experience, children need to be at least 40-inch tall as well. Both my 3 years old had a blast! Can easily spend 3 to 4 hours there. They had a blast! Do see a few attractions or things that need to be fixed or renewed tho. Do understand that any business involved with kids will need lots of maintenance.. but being Lego? I'm definitely expecting more, updated, and well maintained areas.

Google
Great place for kids that love Legos or just want to experience something new. Activities for all ages. Cafeteria ok food not the best. There are different ticket packages but even the basic package includes the 4d movies. In addition to all the cool Lego areas there's a lazer escape game and a jungle gym type of things for kids to run around in. Some stamp stations and buttons on the displays were not working as expected but a great time highly recommend.

So much fun to visit. My husband had fun building a car to race. My 1 yr old loved the duplo area and my teen had fun exploring it all!

The whole family had a blast! They have snacks and everything is decently priced. Interactive games are a ton of fun!

I was expecting a much larger entertainment center when I visited the Lego Discovery Center in Somerville, and the fact that it's located smack dab in the midst of the retail shops was the first giveaway that it wasn't what I anticipated. I was expecting more of a stand-alone Target or Home Depot type building, not a downtown Boston Primark building setup. It takes me longer to leave Primark than it did the LEGO Discovery Center. Essentially, for an expensive visit, there wasn't much for my 12-year-old goddaughter to do. We completed the virtual reality, rode the ride, did the 4D movie, and ate at the concession area, all within an hour. The activity classes are spaced out, which is good in theory, but the next session was 30 minutes later, and my goddaughter didn't want to stick around. The price point for this should be $20 for adults and $15 for kids.

Google
Poorly maintained and overpriced for what you are getting. I could see this being worth it if the cost reflected the quality and things were working well or properly maintained. On arrival you are asked to build a Lego person, all the parts were just blocks? There was no ability to build a Lego person. There are stations to put your Lego person all over, but without one you can't do them. The reaction game had lights burned out and didn't work properly. The area to build cars had so few wheel pieces (just lots of tires?) it was almost impossible to build a working car to put on the ramps. The movie was pretty neat but the "4d" effects felt like they upset more people than enjoyed them (who doesn't like being sprayed with cold water in a freezing theater??). The skyscraper replica area was neat but again many of the buttons and interactive parts didn't work. Much of the area was just covered in visible dust, indicating there is little to no cleaning or maintenance of the figures and buildings done at all. Overall the experience left a lot to be desired for both children and parents. Hopefully things improve.

Yelp
I took one of my kiddos I babysat here and we had the best time ever the staff was friendly and welcoming , we will be coming bak

Yelp
We had a great time here! For context, my daughter is 4 and had a blast, especially in the soft play area. We also had a lot of fun in the toddler area, which I would recommend if you're thinking of going with younger children. You don't have to love legos to go. We would visit again!

Yelp
One of the best things about having a kid is being able to come here. This was our second time, and my daughter was happily entertained for over 3 hours. My husband loved it too. There's something for everyone here. I like the laser maze. The ride where you blast things to save the princess is fun. We liked building all kinds of things too. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Seriously this place is so cute and fun for the whole family! I was able to end part of my work conference (hence the business attire) early and take our toddlers here. They had so much fun! This was our first experience at a Lego Discovery Center and I'm so glad we got to visit the Boston location. It's clean, full of Lego-terrific staff who go above & beyond for your kids & it's nice that it's all indoors and temperature-controlled. Liam even got to use this device to take a picture of his Lego mini figure and at the shop he got to print his own literal mini figure plus accessorize him...how cool is that. The 4D theater is epic! It was so much fun! That is included in your admission but times are limited. The VR is extra but my husband and 5 year old had a blast! It was worth the $6 each ride. The cafe is also reasonable and they even sell Starbucks. Parking isn't free but we did get front row metered parking. The store is great. They are low stock in some of the mini figure accessories so if you're trying to build something specific, ask in advance if it's in stock. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Worth a revisit if the last time you've been was before they renovated it. It now has new sections added for both younger and older kids, such as a Duplo area and push merry go round, laser maze challenge game, rocket Lego building and game area, and Lego race VR experience. It has a much bigger Lego display and they added meet and greets with Lego characters. The 4d movies have water and snow as part of the experience and are my favorite. I like the Lego cops movie because it is very interactive, has many effects, and is pretty fun for a younger audience. It's pretty big in there, very clean (for now), and much more comfortable than before. Can easily keep a kid under 10 years entertained for an entire afternoon. They also have a customize your Lego figurine in the shop downstairs. My complaints are, not many stations that are supposed to interact with the Lego figures worked and there's only one booth at the entrance for digital photos. You get one pose with different backgrounds to choose from. So I'm not sure if that's worth it to purchase as part of your ticket. But we did enjoy the visit and had a lot of fun!

Yelp
Took my pregnant wife here as we were scouting out places for our 2024 Holiday Card with our unborn child. To our disappointment, we were turned away since we "did not have a child present" even though my wife insisted she was with child. I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but Drew, a welcoming gentleman helped guide us towards the mini figure department, where we built a hypothetical 3D model of what our child's room would look like (see pink) - Lego giraffe included for comparison.

Ana A.

Yelp
Overall, glad to have this spot in the area! Pluses: - my kiddo is happily engaged for 2+ hours every time we've come, from ages 4-6 - nice variety of activities - ride, 4D movie, obstacle course and of course lots of lego builds - great locations - always nice to grab lunch, coffee or ice cream at assembly after a visit Cons: -I wish there were more seating areas for parents. - cost is too high for what it is

Yelp
This was so much fun for my 9 year old and myself. I most enjoyed the VR coaster and doing a build class with a master Lego builder. My son's favorite was the activity where you could build cars and race them. The models in the middle with the builds of Fenway and everything else were amazing. The only let down was we were supposed to be able to build and bring home a mini figure but they were all out of torsos and heads so they gave us examples of animals we could make and told us we could build and take one of those but there were no directions on how to construct the animals. We were super disappointed to not have a build to leave with. Otherwise a great day!

Yelp
My grandson had a great time. The master builder; Sean was awesome and had fun building a dragon. Left with mini figure and lots of memories

Yelp
Filthy & Stinky. One star for the great entrance and ride. That's about it. Serious Sanitation issue.

Yelp
Small place but plenty of fun for kids. 2 rides with no lines on a Sunday after noon. There's a big cafe with Starbucks. They're showing different 4d Lego movies no extra charge. Kids were entertained for hours while adult sat around sippin lattes. It's no real amusement park but it's cute and fun. It is in the middle of a shopping center.

Ron D.

Yelp
Not a lot to do for the money they charge. Mostly just using Legos to build different things. Not enough employees that can explain the different areas and things to do. Builder class and 10 minute 4D movie were the only activities we really liked. I would not plan another trip back.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING!! I don't usually write reviews, but I was so shocked to see so many negative reviews that I had to try to counteract them a bit. It seems that most of the negative reviews are people who are angry they couldn't come without kids. While I understand their frustration, I'm also glad that a child-friendly place is making an effort to keep it safe for children. Anyway, the spectacle itself is incredible. It's truly amazing what can be made with LEGOs. There's a whole room with gigantic moving models of the Boston skyline, for example. The staff is fantastic! I was very impressed with the master builder we met. He was very skilled, knowledgeable and patient. There's an amazing ride when you first arrive that is a lot of fun, both for kids and adults. We had a blast for hours and we would definitely go back. Also, I'm not sure why people said it's unsanitary. I'm a huge germaphobe and I was very impressed with the cleanliness. EDIT: I wanted to add two caveats, that other reviewers pointed out: 1. There should be other races represented with the free custom LEGO figures (rather than only the Caucasian looking ones) in the front room and 2. The gift shop is in a REALLY bad place because you have to go through it upon leaving. My son had an absolute meltdown in there when I told him he couldn't have a giant LEGO set. It would be nice to have an alternative exit for folks who don't want to buy anything (and who want to avoid potential meltdowns.)

Yelp
This place exceeded my expectations. I've walked by it dozens of times and gone into the store to admire the Lego sets, but had to wait until my cousin's kiddos were ready to check it out (since adults can't enter without a kid!). At $19.99 per person over 2, this was not cheap but I'd argue it was worth it for the ~2 hours we spent there. You do need to actually engage with everything to get the value out of it, but even as an adult I saw the opportunity for this. Activities included: - an intro video / group experience with the virtual factory (do this! don't just walk through!) - an awesome, massive display of Boston with lots of interactive features - a regatta, buttons to push and lights to turn on, scenes that change with the actual reasons - the "save the princess" ride which I personally could have gone on 3x - not all the lasers worked but 2/3 in every row was enough for us - the flying Merlin ride - uhhhh a little scary but great - the 4D cinema, which I thought was entertaining and the 10 and 6-year-old enjoyed - lots of spaces to build, including cars with a ramp, buildings you could stress test (shake), and room to make a stop-motion video - a cool scavenger hunt where you stamp your card throughout, which the 6-year old enjoyed (costs $5 more, I think - was worth it for 1) - a play structure We did NOT do: - the builder workshop, though it looked awesome, we just missed the timing - the VR simulator If you actually love Legos, I think the displays alone could satisfy you for an hour and everything else would be icing on the cake!

Andrew T.

Yelp
Make sure you read the Yelp reviews to know you cannot enter without a child before wasting your money and time getting there. Also, how can I not get my LEGO points added to my LEGO account after purchase at the LEGO store? Very disappointed will not be returning anytime soon.

Yelp
We visited for the first time and I decided to get the VIP pass ($30) for my daughter and the regular pass for me ($19). Currently you have to purchase tickets online and select a time slot. The time slot is not enforced in any way and there is no limit to how long you can stay. My 3 year old had a blast and did not want to leave. The play area was her favorite. It was super chaotic in there and I wish there was an attendant to enforce some basic rules and keep the older kids in check. Better yet, it would be ideal if they had 2 separate play areas, one for toddlers and one for older children. While they do have a "baby" play area it is just a slide. 3 stars because even though I like that you can pay 1 price and do almost all of the things they offer, they really shouldn't charge entrance for adults/parents. This is for the kids and adults are there to chaperone. Lastly, the VIP pass is so not worth it especially if you have a Younger child.

Peter W.

Yelp
We went last weekend and the ticket for $30 per person regardless of age. We bought the 3:30 tickets and waited 30 + minutes for the first ride and then to the first area to build a Lego figure which took my kit about 20 minutes after we went to watch the 4D show, they told us we had to leave because they close at 5 pm. We spent a total of $95 for nothing and nobody told us when we bought the tickets. What a ripe off.

Yelp
Not going to lie, I came here on a whim because it was hot as heck outside. So, we came here because there was air conditioning on lol. Okay, enough of my life story. We came here and did not expect there to be 2 AWESOME rides, a play area/obstacle course, a 4D movie (it is awesome and you feel the elements with the story, such as being splashed lightly with water when water appears on the screen), as well as a Cafe. It was dope. My nephew spent a large portion of their day in there, about 2-3 hours. I was blown away. One ride is a shooting game where you have to shoot targets with a laser as your cart moves through various scenary. I love this ride in Disney and I love it here. Also, I won by the way because I cant be losing to an 8 year old. They also have a VR ride, approximately 2 minutes long, where you sit down on a chair with goggles. The chair moves with the imagery like a roller coaster. What separates this from others is that the entire world is viewable with rotation or your neck so it isn't just a static image. As your moving in this race, rotating your neck to the left vs right shows you different aspects of the world. It was about $10, and although a tiny bit pricey, I feel it was worth it. Awesome experience. Great for a rainy day as well. Oh, there is a cool giraffe outside, too.

Yelp
You know when something is nakedly an attempt to cash in by slapping a famous name on something? I took two Lego obsessed kids. It starts off with a MASSIVE gift shop, of course. Why wait until the end when a few kids might just tantrum and demand stuff right away? It starts off with a gentle ride through a medieval lego battle... apparently you shoot your laser pointer gun at stuff but you wouldn't really know because the disinterested employees just pull a barrier away while mid conversation with someone else. Then they have a ride that was too kiddie for my 6 year old. A few troughs of bland lego bricks that we outshine at home. A dinky climbing structure. A movie that squirts you (kids loved it, adults hated it). And then there are upsells. They have "VR Driving" which is an old model, low res headset, without head tracking, while you sit in a car booth. And they think of it as some sort of upsell. Lego must have hired freshly minted MBAs who figured as long as there are bricks the kids won't care. Pretty cynical and thoughtless attempt to rope parents in and let kids down. Give it a miss.

Scott K.

Yelp
Not worth the cost (in my opinion) and I have a 8 year old that LOVES Legos - he was bored. The place was relatively clean, but severely lacking in Legos for kids to play with. The main reason for the 1 star is the customer service. Very little staff interaction, and what interaction there was is mostly very young adults barking orders and not providing any positive direction. There did not seem to be any responsible "adult" supervision for the staff to have them seem at least a little interested and provide coherent direction for the interactive parts of the place. Also, you get the exact same Lego "gift" for all people in your party (can't figure out how to mix it up a little?) with no bag to hold them in, so you are left with a bunch of mini-bags of Legos to carry as soon as you enter.

Amy C.

Yelp
Ok, since the renovation, the place looks so much better, fresher, brighter! The kids especially loved the new bank robbery laser activity, and the build a rocket activity as well. I feel like we played in every section of the space--even the Duplo section, which technically we weren't allowed in (?) because the kids were older than 5, but they really wanted to play with the bigger Lego bricks. My suggestions: The cafe is really sad. I wish there had been more options since the renovation. At 2pm, there was no pizza. Our only lunch option was a soft pretzel. If you're going to tell people they can't bring their own food, you need more and better food options. There was no bottled water either (from 2-5, possibly longer) No fresh fruit, which was especially weird as my 7-year-old noticed an "Eat fresh fruit" sign hanging up. A bowl of apples, oranges, bananas would be great. As would healthier sandwich options. A little cup of mixed Dole fruit just doesn't cut it in the fruit department. Also the cashier in the cafe couldn't be bothered to even return a simple hello at the register, nor a thank you on my way out. It was as though my mere presence was annoying them. My friend's daughter didn't know she had to wear socks at the play space area and was told to buy socks. Luckily they weren't expensive but please, when you're at a shoe store there's a box of free peds for bare feet. Also there was no one at the play space post from 3-5, so tons of barefoot kids were playing--for free--in the space. Not especially fair. Please add instructions for how to build a car at the car building site. So many of us just don't know. There are instructions for how to build a person--head, torso, feet--at the entrance, so it's baffling not to have instructions for way more complicated builds! So many things weren't working--a few things in the mini Boston section, a couple machines in the build a rocket section, a level in the bank robbery laser activity...it's strange because these are brand new, but also why isn't there someone walking around to fix these issues? Lego is a pretty big company, and Legoland gets tons of traction I'm sure, so I don't understand why there isn't more attention to working parts. Also, there's surely time to wipe down the movie theater seats between showings? Or warn a person they're about to plop down on a wet seat? So, a mixed bag for me, but overall my child had a good time.

Michael F.

Yelp
Don't go, it's not worth $10. Just an average playground with a few bricks here and there. The 4d movie theater has the worst quality I ever seen experienced.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Very nice selection of LEGO sets here and they also have a bunch of opportunities to pick up a few random pieces that perhaps you've lost as you've been putting your own sets together. No surprise, the prices are sky high. That's just how it works with LEGO. All the different universes are represented from Techno to Ninjago to Star Wars to City. All of them. Party rooms available.

Yelp
We've visited the Legoland Discovery Center when they host an adult night and another time with my nephew. Let's just say it's better for kids than adults. It's located at Assembly Row in Somerville. Even though we bought the Ultimate Value Package for $28/pp, which includes a limited edition keychain and a lanyard attached to a booklet to stamp in each area discovered, so not worth it. It would have been fine if we bought the single pass for $22/pp, or when it's on sale for $19/pp. Kids from 3-12 have to pay for the adult price. An adult over 17 must be accompanied by a child. There's an annual pass for $43/pp, if you go at least 2 times, it pays for itself. There's a decide size room for building legos and for the kids to play, with a huge jungle gym area. There's also a cafe. Don't get the pretzel, it's stale. We spent about two hours with my nephew and did the majority of what they offered here. And there's street parking around the area but it's easier to park in the garage, it should be free under 3 hours. Kingdom Quest- A ride to shoot down trolls and other medieval monsters with laser guns. It's okay for the little one. Lego Stars- 4D Cinema experience. We hated this and my nephew wanted to leave midway through. It's a 15-minute movie. Be prepared to get sprayed and splashed with water. And do not since in the middle if you do not want to get soaked. Luckily we were on the side but we walked out feeling gross. Merlin's Apprentice- It's a two-seater ride that requires peddling for the cart to float. Decent ride. Boston Miniland- All the common Boston landmarks build with legos. It's pretty awesome to see! Overall Service: Staff was sparse throughout the building, though pretty nice when we encountered them.

Yelp
Never thought this place would be so much fun. I also didn't expect to have so many things happening inside. There are upper floors and so much activities. I thought it was only a LEGO store for so long and for so many times I've been to assembly I haven't thought of going inside since I'm not really a fan of LEGO. If you guys are taking your kids to a place indoors and would love to have fun you guys should check this place out. It's not only a store but upstairs there are rides and cool LEGO stuff that kids can enjoy for hours. It's like a mini Disney in there. They have a 4d theatre inside and some interactive games for kids. Ofcourse a lot of legos everywhere and almost all of the stuff are made of legos too. Since You're at the outlets, you can shop after and have a bite as well after spending time in LEGO land. Would recommend this place for family time if you want a convenient area. You can either drive or take the train. They have a train station that would take you to the place as well

Yelp
Giving 5* for the following 6 reasons, but I do have a few constructive criticisms as well. :) 1) Both of our 5 year old boys had SO MUCH FUN! They looooved building the rockets and then scanning them onto the screen to shoot asteroids with. This was awesome. 2) They also loved the VR Ride. Adults have extra tickets to the kids so they could ride twice. 3) Boys raved about the 4D Movie experience (12 min long) 4) They loved the indoor play ground "Police" station. **BRING SOCKS*** or you'll have to buy them at the cafe. 5) the car building and racing ramp was very awesome for them too. 6) Lastly, the boys never wanted to leave the place. No boredom and my son napped all the way home. Always a true sign of an exciting fun filled day :) Criticisms: 1) The laser maze "bank robbery" would have been more fun if the person running the experience explained what to do. She was just standing there. This was the one thing the boys didn't want more of. 2) In the Lego workshop, they have lots of great books for ideas on what to build but very boring Lego pieces and lack of selection. 3) Lunch was rough. The food they did have was cheap, but the cafe is highly lacking, especially for a place with a food restriction rule. Luckily I brought food because my son has Celiac and the website says If you have allergies you can bring your own food. We all ended up sharing my son's lunch amongst us because we had to. We bought a big pretzel but even that wasn't great and no one wanted to eat it. I really hope they improve that next time. In the meantime, no one said anything or policed the eating area so...if you have "allergies"- pack your own lunch and bring it. 4) There were a few standout employees working who were helpful and enthusiastic. The rest of them were just warm bodies. If they trained staff better, they could make the experience even better! I realize it's hard to staff places now though so cutting them some slack.

Yelp
Great place to bring the kids to grown ups have just as much fun opening up again just having a few renovations Bring the family opening up in April .

Yelp
I find it interesting that adults must have children in order to go in and look. Why? Why can't anyone the age over 18 go in without a kid am I not paying for it?

Brianna L.

Yelp
I visited this place 2 days ago and i drove over 2 hours bc of traffic. I bought 2 adult tickets for me and my boyfriend and i was denied after they scanned my tickets. i was told that i could not enter because i did not have a child with me. they refunded my tickets. i checked the website to see their policy to enter and there was nothing about having a child for entry. we are both 21. please update your website so other people don't go through this. and an explanation why this is a policy. traveling is not cheap.

Yelp
wonderful experience all around BUT, why are there no black folks in the Lego displays? Black legos do exist (rarely), but all the skin on every Lego mini figure is yellow and there is no black (African America) hair. These days black people (and Asians) are featured prominently everywhere (relative to in decades past), and in a much more positive light: movies, advertising, toys, etc. Why is Lego Center the last holdout? thanks for reading!

Yelp
I gave Legoland a 2 star review due to the lackluster experience that my family and I had. I chose at the last minute to bring my 3 children ages 9,5, and 3 because they love Lego's and it was my 9 year old's birthday. My kids were beyond excited just to see what the center was and to play with legos. I ordered my tickets in advance on line because it stated that you were able to skip the line and just go directly in. When you walk into the center, there is no separate line for people that have already purchased tickets, I had to wait in line for 15 minutes waiting for others to purchase ahead of me. When I purchased the tickets online, I opted for a collectible lego piece for each ticket and an activity pack. The worker that took my ticket told me that there was no collectible lego piece that we had the option to choose from a VR ride that could only be ridden by people that were 6 or older. I was highly disappointed to find that out. We received our activity pack and our lanyard, which seemed cool. There is a great concept behind it by requiring the kids to get them stamped and than earning badges at the end of your visit. The only problem is that most stations do not even have the stampers anymore. If you are having people purchase activity packs there should be stamps at every station. The overall center was very understaffed for the amount of kids that they allow in. The only exhibit that impressed me was the replicas of Boston. My kids thought it was amazing. The rides were alright and very low key for toddlers and younger kids alike. One thing that I would recommend that you make parents aware that they need socks in order to go to the play place for toddlers. We visited during the summer so my daughter was wearing sandals. Another parent happened to tell me when I was standing in line that we needed socks. Thankfully they sell socks (of course) in the food area. They did not have my daughters size socks so they gave me the socks for free but for anyone going with younger toddlers. Make sure that you bring a pair of socks just in case. Overall, I think that the center needs to be updated and be more staffed in order for families and children to enjoy their experience.

Yelp
My children and I were first time visitors and we've attended Lego stores, lego pop up events, and Legoland. Parking - 3 hour free parking at the garage or lots and easily accessible. Due to COVID we had a time slot for approximately 90 minutes. I was not sure we would be able to fulfill everything, but my children were able to experience everything available. Upon entry they take your temperature and have rope lines to ensure a one way guided path for entry and exit. 4D show was closed, everything else was open. These included rides, play area, and cafe. A plentiful bag of legos were provided for each child to build at each workstation clearly marked to social distance. Hand sanitizers located along the walls and easily accessible. Cafe- very clean/monitored/ maintained, socially distanced, and reasonably priced. A pair of fruit cups, juice boxes, and warm pretzel came out to $13.00. You can sit and just have a snack break too if you don't want to purchase food. Play structure- we got there pretty early, so we did not have to wait. They did set a limit as to how many children were allowed at one time. There was no time limit, but you did have to be conscience of time to allow other children the opportunity. Play zone- bag of bricks offered to play then return, ramps available to race cars (challenge was finding wheels...not all bags had the complete parts for different wheel sizes) Lego Dots build and free to take home. Miniland- very impressive! Like any lego builds those were fascinating. VR ride- seats 2 people at a time. It does give you that feeling of weightlessness, but I would caution those riders who may easily get ill from those kinds of rides where you need to wear goggles. I think with the pandemic it may be a bit tricky to manage your time on moving your kids to each attraction if you wanted to partake in everything. I have a two children under 10 and they were both more than satisfied. Overall, it was a nice go between place for lego opportunity with a store, but no Legoland nearby.

Yelp
Came here for one of the Adult night game nights last month. I got some free passes and decided to check it out. The theme was a murder mystery, it was pretty cool they had some people dressed as characters and you had to interrogate each one to figure out the killer. I had never been here before so I was really taken aback by the scale of some of the LEGO models. Also they had some indoor rides and build contests you could do to get more clues. Pretty cool also that Aeronaut Brewing was there as well serving up drinks. Only complaint was I wish the event was a little longer it seemed like it was overall relatively quickly.

Yelp
Poorly managed, neglected, and overpriced. I have been here a few times, and this place is clearly in decline. 1. They stopped giving away the Lego brick in the first room. It's not the reason for a 1-star review, but it does show that you are getting less value for your admission price. 2. We went to the factory tour room and there were no staffers in sight. The kids weren't able to create Lego figures on the screen because of a software glitch. Previously, there would be a "guide" who would escort you from the elevator through the tour room and into the main area. So within my first 5 minutes of being at this place, something already broke and a bad impression was made. 3. The men's room had two urinals out of order and a dripping sink. This is a clear sign of a lack of proper maintenance. 4. The Star Wars exhibit was closed during business hours because contractors were working on a door, and several people had to complain to get this section opened. When you only have like 5 attractions at a price equal to an amusement park, they must all be open. Do your work before or after business hours. 5. The VR is a separate cost that is not covered by the admission fee. If admission was $10, then I don't mind a-la-carte charges, but adding $5 on to an already overpriced cover charge is insulting. 6. Some of the buttons on the Lego exhibits (to light things up, make something move, etc.) did not work. 7. There were not enough axle pieces to make the racing cars. Does anyone ever take an inventory? All of these items are symptoms of a VERY poorly managed facility. Beyond these glaring issues, Legoland gets pretty boring after the first 20 minutes. Unless your child is going to sit there for an hour intently building things with bricks, you are going to run out of things to do quite fast.

Yelp
Not great but if you have small kids visit is ok. Don't think it is equal to Lego land it is a totally different. It's very small and pricey for not muc

Yelp
Kids had a good time for the most part. They need to do some deep cleaning, painting and maybe sound management, but decent enough. My SPD child struggles with sounds and lights, we forgot their earmuffs and there wasn't a space for sensory breaks. Gift shop was a wreck and overpriced. My kids enjoyed their time and especially loved Gio, but I think the space needs a bit of TLC.

Yelp
Awesome! This place is a hidden gem; it is packed with fun. They have rides, a 4d movie, lego pits, a slide, crawl play areas, lego car building areas, and so much more. I don't wanna spoil to much but it worth every penny. I would recommend that you bring a child 3ft. Or over so they can enjoy the rides or at least big enough to play independently non the play areas. I won't bring my toddler back until he is 5 lol.

Yelp
Waste of money!!! I would give it no stars. Went today with not a lot of people. The first ride was the kingdom quest. When it got to us they said the ride is malfunctioning so we had to get off. The operator said we can come back when it's fixed without getting back in line. We went back after an hour and another operator was there and said we can't. The point was she had such bad manners. It's not like we want to hop the line without lining up. It's their malfunction and their fault. I just can't take the attitude the woman gave me. Each of the attraction had some sort of malfunction or something is broken. The place is already worn down after only a few years. I would not come back since there really isn't much to do. 2 rides, a theater and then a play area with several areas for LEGO construction.

Yelp
Small but packed with activities. Ride at the beginning is an interactive laser shooting ride that my kids loved. If you were allowed to do it more then once we would have. Once inside the main facility there are lego displays of the Boston area that were nice to see. There is a big play/jungle gym area that small kids would play for hours if you let them. There are tables everywhere to build legos. A ninjago area lets go through a laser maze to check their "ninja skills" There is one more ride inside where you fly a plane. A typical ride you would see at an amusement park but it has pedals to control how high you go up. Several 4d movies with lego themes give even more things to do. We did not eat at the cafe but it looked busy. Not sure why such low ratings. Family had lots of fun here. I do think that children ages 3-8 would have the best time here. Kids a little older might not enjoy everything. Definitely worth the money

Yelp
Fun enough, but def not worth a full priced ticket. Lots of things broken, and no over-sight of the activity areas. - Tried to beat the heat for a few hours, their AC is broken - "Factory Tour" has two of the 4 screens miscalibrated, one was on a windows desktop - Laser guns in the "Kingdom Quest" ride didn't turn on until halfway through the ride. The ride operator seemed annoyed when we told them it was glitchy. There was no-one attending the photo-booth afterward to pull up your group's ride photo - Half of the interactive elements of "miniland" Boston skyline were broken so the kids just zoomed through this room. There was some amazing detail in this recreation, wish we had more time to take it in - 4D cinema had some cute stories, but were very hard to hear as one of the wind-blowers (positioned around the room for immersion) was just always on - We spent the most time constructing cars in the "LEGO Racers Build & Test" track. Hard to find desired pieces as things were just strewn all over. When the kids did finish their cars, a very rude brother & sister kept blocking off two of the five lanes and not allowing smaller kids to test out their cars. Parents were nowhere around and no oversight of any of these activity areas from staff - The theme when we attended was "Ninjago Days", however they were all out of booklets for "Master Wu's Challenge" providing any organization or explanation of the stations for the event - "Merlin's Apprentice" ride was pretty great, kids had a blast getting to control their own car's height; however 1 of the 6 cars had a broken seat so lines could get fairly long. Better off doing an activity nearby and waiting for a lull in the crowds We luckily had a coupon code for free kids admission with each full priced adult ticket. Even with a BOGO deal I don't feel like we got our money's worth. Would have given it half as many stars if we had paid twice as much. The kids had a couple of hours worth of fun, but I wouldn't recommend to others unless all the small disappointments from broken displays, glitchy rides, and non-event events were addressed.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday to celebrate my boyfriend's nephew's birthday and it was such a blast!! We brought 2 kids: one was 6 years old, the other 3 years old. And even though the place feels pretty small compared to theme parks I'm been to - there was enough going on to keep the kids occupied and excited! We got there around 4pm and didn't leave until they closed at 8pm. The kids were in their own worlds of building toy cars, racing each other and other kiddies, and running around in the playground areas. There was also a 4-D movie (be prepared to get a little wet), and 2 rides (one of them has a height minimum of 3'). Overall - the kids had a great time and it was an awesome way to spend the afternoon. Also - the staff here is awesome. They're working in pure chaos (crazy messes from kids, hyperactive kids running around everywhere, etc.) and yet are still so friendly. Elianna was our favorite staff member - she helped us with an online ticket issue we had and when we saw her around the playground area a few hours later - she was really helpful and truly made our little guy feel special on his birthday! Huge thumb's up for great employees like Elianna!

Yelp
I understand they are doing the best they can with the COVID regulations, but it was not worth the price given the available activities. They give you a bag of clean legos to take with you. They don't book too many people, so you have lots of room to build. The two rides are open, and all play equipment, the movie theater, and the cafe are closed. I feel like the site was not clear about the play equipment being closed. Unless your child will be happy with just building for an hour and a half, it's not worth the price. The staff was great. Very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
I agree with many of the comments already posted, especially the uncleanliness. On our last visit, the big climbing area was so filthy that I took photos and showed them to the staff. I asked how often the space is cleaned, and they said "once a week". I wouldn't be surprised if this violates health codes since kids are crawling all over the climbing structure. It needs to be cleaned several times per day. Spending a little bit more on cleaning would yield a major return. We would go several times per year if it were clean and well stocked.

Yelp
Ok. My 5 year old son and I went for the first time on a Sunday during school vacation week. I bought tickets online the night before it was about $50 for both of us. The staff was uninterested at best, and there was a total lack of information or guidance as to what to do etc. after an extremely boring tour we wound up in the main room and it was super crowded. We were still able to play at the different stations, but at several points I had grown adults literally taking pieces out of my hands. My son spent a lot of time on a play structure that he could run around in as well as in the master builders room . He had fun but was definitely overwhelmed. He was uninterested in the rides, but eventually went on the ride that shoots things and seemed to enjoy that. Spend $16 at cafe on juice chips and a cookie - very low selection of food. There was no staff to be seen kids were dumping legos everywhere and it was basically a free for all. Parents were all clueless. The attendant in the master builders room was excellent. The person who helped us upgrade tickets st end was helpful. Store was actually pretty small. I paid for a figure with ticket and had to ask about it at the end- again no one tells you anything. We did upgrade to yearly passes as we live local and got confirmation that it is usually not this crowded. I think it's overpriced for one visit but it will be less that $5 a visit for a 2X a month trip after school especially during winter months. Recommendations: hire engaging people who like kids and interact with them. Also, do not assume people know what they are doing most people are not going to ask you. Ask questions and personalize the experience.

Yelp
I was afraid that it might be a little young for my 9 year old, since it was rated 3-10. However, I think he is more excited than my 7 year old, if that is possible. Really, quite impressed. Just north of Boston, free parking, brand new. We went as soon as our summer vacation started so we wouldn't have too bad of lines. That worked our great. Also paid online so we wouldn't be turned away. We spent about three hours total.

Yelp
Im shocked by the reviews this place has! We went today and it was amazing fun! Clean! Like clean clean! Happy helpful staff . I wasn't expecting much do to these reviews but wow they are so wrong! Both my kids 5 and 10 loved it !

Yelp
We had our kids birthday party here. Overall it went well and we'd recommend it as a reasonably priced all included birthday party, that requires minimal effort by the parents. The included pizza from Ernesto's was surprisingly good, as was the Starbucks coffee. Only negatives were the coffee came towards the end of the party, and there was a little confusion when we were checking in and out. I also ordered 4 extra pizzas, confirmed them the day before, but we didn't get them, which was fine because the 8 included were more than enough.

Yelp
I was expecting Legoland to be so much more than it was. The long and the short of it is it is a 3000 square foot facility overflowing with Lego bits. Everything from the floor, to the tables, to the walls, to the glass, and the bathroom is absolutely covered in germs. I am by no means a germaphobe, but their laws legitimate snot, spit, and a whole bunch of unrecognizable bodily functions on every surface. There were a few really interesting exhibits, including the Boston Harbor Lego City, and the race track where you build your own car. The girls area, which is set up like a kitchen and maybe fairy garden could be so much better. We're moving into a generation where girls are cracked with science technology engineering and mathematics, and yet there were so few things that were geared towards girls that covered these bases. I feel that Legoland it's such an easy place for the young girls to get their first experience with stem and the Lego industry fell short here. They do have a very small food court. It is all Sysco products, run by teenagers, and far overpriced. You'd be better either bringing your own lunch or going into the Boston Commons to find something to eat.

Yelp
Not bad. Quite fun for young kids. Overflowing on a weekend. Could better better staffed in the large playground. We really enjoyed the first medieval themed ride where you shoot skeletons and monsters. The line is long but not too long. We went twice. Try to time the second ride before the group gets released from the beginning tour. The main room is somewhat chaotic. Seems a little bit understaffed as well. Thankful that most of the parents are pretty reasonable, and watching their kids. A Lego Ninjago character was walking around. My kid went and said hi. He duplo block from the character and very excited about the encounter. The large play structure for climbing was overflowing with kids. I did not see a staff member there. A group of older kids were building a wall, when one kid knocked it down. There was some anger from the group of older kids, some throwing of blocks, and some punching of walls. I think at least one staff member would been helpful. I didn't have to pay! Guest passes are great. But this place would be overpriced for a day pass.
