How to keep kids entertained in Tokyo - SilverKris
"A family-friendly indoor attraction filled with interactive exhibits and games that appeal to tots through teens; the Lego-based activities encourage critical thinking and problem-solving while keeping children fully engaged and entertained." - SilverKris
It’s more of an indoor playground than a theme park, so the facilities are somewhat limited. However, the kids really enjoyed their time here.
Since there’s no time limit for each visit, it felt a bit crowded even on a weekday afternoon.
The 4D movie was fun to watch. It featured a Halloween theme in October, so I assume the movie changes depending on the season.
I recommend booking tickets in advance, as this place is very popular. Also, adults must be accompanied by at least one child under 16 to enter.
We changed our scheduled time on-site, and a female staff member was very helpful and spoke excellent English.
The Lego-built Tokyo city display is truly impressive. It’s even more enjoyable if you’re familiar with different parts of Tokyo.

A fantastic indoor playground for the kids! We visited with our 7 year old and absolutely loved it. The Miniland is incredibly impressive seeing Tokyo landmarks like the Skytree and Shibuya Crossing made out of Lego was a highlight for the adults. The rides (Kingdom Quest and Merlin's Apprentice) were fun and perfect for younger children. It’s a great way to spend 2-3 hours. Highly recommend booking tickets online in advance to save time!

It is ok for a day with your kids. Not as big as expected but is good enough to entertain your kids. There are a few rides but not too much. If you have had explored enough in Tokyo and have some time left then is ok.

A fun and accessible recreation area that kids will love. There's a Lego movie theater, a Lego play area where you can build cars and try to race, also a children's play area. So much fun!

This is an indoor spot with rides, play zones, and cool models, good for kids or if you’re a fan. If you book ahead, you can save up to 30% on the tickets from ¥3,300 down to ¥2,350. I went on a weekday morning, and it was great, no lines and not crowded at all. Plus, you get a free digital download of your entrance photo, which is a nice little bonus!

I visited the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre with my little daughter without high expectations, mainly because it was conveniently located near the Gundam I want to see and photo. Unfortunately, the experience was really underwhelming. The centre felt more like a small indoor play area and the number of engaging activities was quite limited.
The play areas were small and the workshops were conducted only in Japanese, which made participation difficult for international visitors.
Even traveling with small kids who are passionate about LEGO, I still not recommend going out of your way to visit. It’s a trap while you're visiting Odaiba. Just go for the Gundam, NHK site or shopping malls, they will be much better. Never waste time here.

Good for younger children. The creation center was closed when we went and the rest of the exhibits and spaces were good but not memorable. The Tokyo Lego city and night time light up was very worthwhile.

If you are going with a little kid he will had tons of fun, it has a 4d experience that is really fun and also a VR car race that is very very cool too.
The Lego models are really amazing and acurrate, some even do special stuff
They have different little activities that have little time duration and at the end you can check the Lego store.
It is not very crowded but for an adult or a teen the attractions can get boring.
But you can ONLY get in if you buy tickets

Yelp
My kid had a blast here. Though it is not that big, we did not have enough time at the end (especially if you wanna hit the lego store). She spent one hour just playing in the playground area. Another 2 hours went by on rides, movie and other small building areas. Ideally you want 4 hours or so (assuming the lines for the rides are short).
They had lots of rest area for kids and adults and I loved how many of them are facing the playgrounds so you can see your kids sitting down.
They have an ice cream cone vending machine and their cafe is priced okay as well. You can always bring your own food as well.
A few reviews said the customer service is not as good as other places in Japan, but I had a positive customer service here from the ticket office to lego store. Would I come back? Depends....yes if I lived in the area with my kid. No if I am visiting for a short amount of time....you can just go to Lego Discovery in the States. There are so many other places to go in Japan.

Yelp
One way to buy ticket is through their website. They have online promotions. We bought our tickets via Expedia and it took awhile checking in at the counter, maybe because of language barrier.
The check in/exit area is on 3F. You ride the elevator to 7F for the attractions, meaning just two rides. Be careful, rides close at 5pm. So dont get there too late.
Kingdom Quest is a shooting ride, like the Toy Story Mania in Disneyland. It wasn't a long ride, but fun. You get a photo that you can pay at the end of ride. I bought the magnet version and you can download the photo for free (expires w/in 3days).
There was a cinema but we didnt go. It is 4d and because we aren't Japanese speakers, we skipped this part.
Marlin's Apprentice is another ride but a very long wait. The capacity is not enough. My son and husband seemed to have fun.
There is a little cafe that have snacks. Dont expect much, because there isn't much. They have churro but looked burnt so I skipped it. I ordered the loco moco and it was surprisingly good!
The entire family enjoyed it but you wont need all day for this attraction. We spent a lot of time building cars instead.
I took one star off because, again, there isn't much to do unless you build legos all day after the rides.

Yelp
We big Lego fan so of course we need to check this place out. It's right by the Bay Area. The price is a little expensive for what they have to offer. But overall
We spend a good amount of hours here. It's good for kids 3-10 years of age. They have two rides and of course Lego for you play with. The Lego stores is small and nothing that is unique to Japan so a little disappointed. Lego price is a little expensive.

Yelp
I could skip this attraction for the Kids...For the entrance of 2,200 JPY is too steep for what's inside. The are 2 rides, the kingdom quest laser ride is the corniest ride ever. Merlin's apprentice ride is not bad, they also has a 4D Cinema,The rest are basically play areas with Lego. They have a nice lego display of a city. that was nice. But for the price, I would rather take my kids to a park in Japan where they can run around and enjoy the outdoors. I would only go here on a RAINY day, that's it. It is also pretty far from the city center. So the trek to this part of town is not worth it. They have a café inside and the prices are expensive as well.

Yelp
If you want to waste money while in Japan you'll want to visit this place. Our tickets, nor their website, do not say anywhere that all the rides close at 5pm even though the place closes at 8. Their tickets and website also fail to mention that their restaurant closes at 6 as well. They also do not have translations in any other language for movies that are still open for the children who do make the mistake of coming after 5. Unlike other places we visited while in Japan not just Tokyo, they did not carry the same level of customer service about any of this either. I suggest staying clear of this huge waste of time if you're visiting Odaiba. Visit a Lego store and an indoor playground you and your child will be much happier.

Yelp
It's a simple area for kids to play around with Lego. It's really just an introduction to Legoland.
Overall an average attraction. Kids will enjoy themselves there but I think only for a short while.
There is a nice Lego reproduction of Osaka and it's really good. Keeps you wanting for more but sadly the area is very small.
Basically this is a play area more than Legoland. Feels over priced.

Yelp
They don't let you in without Kids :( As someone who can't have kids this is deeply upsetting.

Yelp
Kids 4-6 had a blast. Place to go to if parents need a break and u want to escape the cold. The rides was fun. They can endless build things. They 4d movie was a awesome experience. We spend 5 ours there and they still didn't wanted to leave. It's not to big.

Yelp
My son is a Lego fanatic so of course we had to visit. It was about as crowded as I would've expected for visiting on a Sunday in July. There are a lot of hills. I recommend going online to buy advanced tickets for a discount. My only complaint is that the displays are looking kind of tired and the park looks like he could use a good power washing.
