The owners are super sweet and are genuine. They made us feel so welcome and you can tell that they love getting to know their guests. The main mansion is to die for especially the interior design. They saw how amazed I was and told me all about the history. The room was clean and the bed was so comfy :) People hung out in the living room, had tea and talked to complete strangers which was really fun. Quiche, fresh fruit and toast was our breakfast! You can see the care and love they put into everything. I wish I lived closer and then I’d go visit them all the time for good company :) It’s close to Main Street and in a cute neighborhood. I will always remember how awesome our stay was and I hope to go visit again soon!

We got the Muir room, which came with a private bathroom that included a huge clawfoot tub! Our stay was so cozy and romantic; the fireplace in the parlor was so wonderful on a cold winter night. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The gentlemen running it were so nice, and it was lovely to hear how much they care about the buildings illustrious history and how much care they have put into restoration and period accuracy. It's a hard place to leave! A bit of your heart will always be there.

Such a gem in Bozeman. We really enjoyed our 2 day stay. Chris and John are so nice and make you feel welcome. The Mansion is peaceful and comfortable. Breakfast is marvelous and not just small fare. Chris really puts a magic touch into what he cooks. We will definitely go back and recommend this lovely place to everyone.

This little B&B has a lot of charm. My parents stayed in the garden house and had mixed reviews. My mom adored it for its decor and coziness, and proximity to me! My dad appreciated the comfortable bed, but did not appreciate the proximity to the train tracks- Its window rattlingly close. Also, the breakfast setup is good if you're not in a rush, but with a full day planned it's best to skip. The hosts are incredibly friendly, and have set rules for how things are done. it's good to be prepared to be taken care of at this B&B. if you are looking for a cold, hotel like experience, this is not the place for you.

Stayed at Lehrkind Mansion while visiting my kids at college and what a great place! Loved the atmosphere, victorian touches and the host Chris was amazing. He made sure everything was just right! The location is great too. Not right downtown...so nice and quiet, yet close enough that I could walk to main street if I chose. The breakfast was scrumptious and it was so relaxing to visit by the fire in the evening. I will definitely be back!

Everything you want a B&B to be! The two houses are gorgeous, with the main one more traditional Victorian and the second a "rescue" home that they redid in more Montana style. The breakfasts are more wholesome than your average B&B while remaining delicious, which I appreciated. Chris is a wonderful host with an incredible knowledge of wildflowers and the park system. The area is fun, too, a little bit off the main drag, near to a hip coffee shop, a bakery that makes actual good sourdough bread as well as sandwiches and pastries, and a pottery shop. It's also easily walkable to the main street. If/when we return to Bozeman, we'll definitely stay here again!

My aunt and uncle stayed here when they were visiting town and it was the perfect place! The owner is super friendly, the grounds are beautiful (we enjoyed a bottle of wine on the covered porch surrounded by flowers), and the location is ideal (apart from the rather loud train, but that's noisy everywhere in NE Bozeman). There's some very interesting history associated with the property, and a book with pictures detailing the journey of the carriage house (on the back of a truck on the highway!) to its current home. The owner was happy to give us a tour of the antiques in the home, most notably an enormous historic music box (I forget the name, but it was very interesting!)

Its a wonderful place with a wonderful host. We honeymooned at the Lehrkind, and it was the right choice! Very close to downtown restaurants and shops, near some beautiful views. We felt like we had gone back in time when we spent time in our room and in the common areas. Breakfast was wonderful and the opportunity to visit with other guests from around the world in this venue made our trip even more special. We will stay here again!

Yelp
Excellent. We loved our stayed. So comfortable and Chris and John are the best host. Our room was comfortable and the BNB is within walking distance to most everything. Definitely made our Bozeman experience memorable. Thanks y'all!

Yelp
This place is so adorable and was an absolutely amazing place to stay. It's close to everything in the area, we didn't drive more than 15 minutes to anything in town. There are so many food options close by that it was hard to make decisions on where to go! We stayed here three nights over a long weekend for a friend's wedding. We were greeted by the home owner, who showed us around and told us about the house history. There is a great musical tower in the living room that you must see if you go. There is a rabbit in the yard who enjoys peanuts! Who knew? Came right up to us and took a few peanuts from our hands. The room was gorgeous and when the window was open you could easily hear the water fountain feature in the yard, which was incredibly relaxing. We hardly ever take naps, but on this stay the bed was so comfy we ended up lounging happily! We had a breakfast one of the mornings, which was so tasty - mushroom omelette with fresh fruit on the side. It was made on site by the owner and a friend of his and you could tell that care was put into making it. Overall: A+ Book in advance (they fill up quick), feed the yard rabbit, enjoy breakfast and venture around the grounds!

Yelp
We made this one of our first stops on our honeymoon trip to Yellowstone and it was a great choice! The hosts were very kind and welcoming without being overbearing or intrusive. Our room was just large enough to be comfortable and small enough to feel intimate. The house itself is fun to explore (though not as large as "mansion" might imply). Breakfast was great! The cook was more than happy to provide extra bacon by request and it was fun sitting down for a meal with the other guests and getting to know them. We were lucky, as a French family was at the table with us and we were able to converse and connect with them. We found the price for the experience quite reasonable! Stay here if you get the chance. Bozeman itself is a cool city and this adds to the appeal.

Yelp
Very welcoming, warm and kind owners! I will definitely stay here again. The interior and exterior property is well maintained, cozy, and super clean. Furthermore, the breakfast Chris made was quite scrumptious. Many kudos to the Lehrkind Mansion for making my short Bozeman stay great!

Yelp
We stayed at Lehrkind Mansion for a long weekend and it's a very cute and comfortable B&B. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed (remember, no TV at a B&B, so if you're into watching the tube in bed, go to a hotel) and Chris is a very warm and gracious host. Breakfast is family style and you get to meet the other guests at a communal table. So why 4, rather than 5, stars? The location is a bit in the weeds. There's a lot of road work and the next door lot is a construction zone, so the charm of the B&B itself (and it's REALLY charming, including the large yard/grounds) is marred. If you're REALLY picky about being downtown and having a place to stay that is in the heart of the restaurants/shops, there may be better choices in the hotels. But if you want the B&B experience in Bozeman, this is your place.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the lehrkind. Good proximity to downtown Bozeman, nice, clean rooms. The host was super helpful and friendly. Really comfortable bed and nice breakfast!

Yelp
We loved our stay here at the mansion. Chris is an excellent host and gives a thorough tour of the home, he even gave a very interesting history lesson which included a demonstration of the 7' music box. You can tell Chris enjoys his work and was most helpful with information about Yellowstone Park. I have been on the road for 4 weeks having breakfast at many cafes and restaurants this was the best breakfast I've had in quite some time.

Yelp
We stayed here in winter on the way into Yellowstone National Park and it was cozy by the fireplace, with beautiful details everywhere we looked. Liked it so much we stayed here again on the way back. Wonderful hosts. They told us about a trendy coffee roasters close by next door to a bakery connected to a deli so we could follow up Lerhkind's yummy breakfast with a delicious lunch and coffee. You could imagine being happy if snowed in here.

Yelp
We LOVED our two-night stay here! We had intentions of skiing Bridger and Big Ski but with lows of 14-20 below zero we just drove around, enjoyed the scenery and coziness of this place. We enjoyed playing the piano at night and reading books and magazines about the area and it's history. Breakfasts were delicious and good company too! We'll be back and would recommend to anyone over staying in a hotel.

Yelp
While quickly researching the itinerary, was having a difficult time finding true B&B because airBnB take up the first web pages returned. I don't trust airBnB because they're unregulated. Thankfully for the Bozeman portion of our travel, searched bed and breakfasts Bozeman and Lehrkin Mansion came right up. (learned to search "bed and breakfast association" followed by name of the State and found other B&B to stay in OR and CA). Hosts Chris and John friendly and helpful with everything, at times being a travel agent. Made sure to have cream in our mini-fridge for tea in the evening. Beautiful (hope I'm getting this right guys!) Victorian Queen Anne style home. We stayed in two different rooms because of splitting up our stay: both were spacious and had a seating area. B&B does not allow pets, which was a necessity due to cynophobia. We walked the fascinating residential areas around the B&B, even a short walk to Holy Rosary Catholic church for Mass. This B&B was our base while exploring Yellowstone, Tetons and Glacier. (Yellowstone Safari tours pick up at B&B). Breakfasts were always delicious (no meat is served) and filling; got all the food groups covered with one meal and was full until dinner. So much better than staying in a hotel where no one knows you. Montana will always be associated with the smell of sage in the air--especially after a rain--heavenly!

Yelp
This was my first taste of a bed and breakfast style and I was not disappointed. First off don't let the surrouding area put you off, Bozeman is feeling the construction recession hard in this area but its safe. We (husband and I) were there in March so the grounds were covered in snow but you could tell that its colorful and lush in the other seasons. The service was over-the-top! Chris gives you a tour (prepare to leave your shoes a the door) and makes sure you feel comfortable and well informed, there is a ton of history in this house and the surrounding area. Rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were well stocked, just remember this is not the Ritz. No televsions but fast WiFi. The breakfast was incredible! Organic waffles with blueberries and all the trimmings. Nice place for sure, I would love to go back in the summer.

Yelp
Your classic b&b: quaint atmosphere, frilly curtains and millions of objects everywhere, hearty breakfast, nice and friendly owners. Free Wifi. About 10 minute walk from town. Was originally the brewmaster/owner's home of Lehrkind Brewery; it's very nice that he chose to build his mansion next to the brew works rather than in the fancy quarter of town.

Yelp
We stayed here for my high school class reunion a few weeks ago and loved it. Everyone was very welcoming, showed us around. The breakfasts were excellent and we really enjoyed visiting with the other guests, hearing about their trips. We stayed in the Garden House in the back and it was very comfortable.

Yelp
I only stayed here one night on a whim during a road trip, but it was a really wonderful treat to find! Since I found it via Yelp, I figured it was only right to pay it forward so others can enjoy it here, too. Chris was so accommodating when my friend and I stopped by just 2 minutes after closing time, and helped us score a last-minute deal on an empty room. The room itself was really nice, bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was what was really cool--all antique fixtures and surprisingly great water pressure! The breakfast was delicious, and Chris and his partner were very respectful of my dietary restrictions without being overly awkward and calling attention. Overall, a great experience and I'd love to come back and spend more time here!

Yelp
We were recent guests at the Lehrkind Mansion and we were very pleased with our visit. Chris met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house. He made recommendations for dinner and they were "right on!!!" The room was clean and furnished with high quality antiques and the private bath was very modern. The next morning, we visited with other guests from South Africa, London, and two couples visiting from Charleston, NC. They were all interesting and great conversationalists. Chris and Dillon prepared a feast for breakfast beginning with fresh, homemade pastries, fresh fruit and a delicious egg dish with spinach and cheese. The coffee was great and there were tea selections. What a surprise to find this fine hostelry in Bozeman. We will definitely stay there again and we will tell our friends about the Lehrkind House.
