Food was alright, but the quality of the service was subpar and disappointing. The servers were rude and inattentive. They didn’t engage with customers at all—just dropped off the food and hurried away, sometimes even collecting dishes before we were finished. I felt like I was bothering them just by asking a question. The open dining area was also packed, which added to the chaotic atmosphere. I've been to other Lei Garden locations, and the service and atmosphere there are definitely better. It’s a shame when the bad service overshadows an otherwise decent meal.

We had the misfortune of eating at this, apparently Michellin star restaurant a few days ago and it has got to be the worst restaurant we have ever visited. The food literally was inedible and some of which wasn’t available after placing the order, but the waiter didn’t tell us until we chased it up. The food, was uncooked - we ordered some fried chicken wings for starters and they were uncooked and the roast chicken came out cold and when we asked them to send it back and redo the chicken they heated it up in the microwave and bought it back to us. There is no way this is Michellin star worthy restaurant and I would not recommend eating in this restaurant. You’re better off going to McDonalds!!

Everything else was terrible as is, but the audacity to serve this cha siu cheung fun just does it for me. I would have thought that it was a particular style of making it (compressed) - if only it didn’t taste like incompetence.

We had dinner there and as always the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Food (vegetarian starters, dim sum, Beijing duck, noddles, desserts) was really good and well presented. Waitresses were friendly and polite. The disturbing fact is that they are offering shark fin dishes on the menu which I found inappropriate!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lei Garden located in IFC Mall in Hong Kong, and I must say the food was so good. The menu at Lei Garden offers a wide variety of Cantonese and Chinese dishes, each prepared with incredible skill and attention to detail. From the succulent Peking Duck to the flavorful dim sum, every dish was a testament to the chef's expertise. While the food at Lei Garden was exceptional, I must mention that the beer selection was quite limited. I was hoping for a more extensive variety to complement my meal. However, the staff was helpful in suggesting alternative beverage options. One thing to note is that Lei Garden can get quite busy, especially during peak hours. This popularity is a testament to the restaurant's reputation and the quality of its food. However, it is worth mentioning that there might be a wait time to enter. Nevertheless, the attentive staff did their best to accommodate guests efficiently and make the waiting experience as comfortable as possible. Despite the limited beer selection and the possibility of a wait time, the overall dining experience at Lei Garden was exceptional. The food alone is reason enough to visit this restaurant. The flavors, presentation, and attention to detail in each dish are truly remarkable. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to assist further enhanced the dining experience. If you are a fan of Cantonese cuisine and appreciate exceptional food, Lei Garden in IFC Mall is a must-visit. Just be prepared for the possibility of a wait time and consider exploring alternative beverage options if you are a beer lover.

Located inside a mall. Came here for dinner. Made reservations by calling and also preordered some food like Peking duck. The true highlight was the snow crab. Multiple people agreed that it was one of the best snow crabs they’ve ever had. It was lightly fried so it had a good crust but was also easy to deshell. They had really good veggie options as well. we had a double order of pea shoots which they plated together.

Long established quality chain, the branch at IFC was always impossible to get a table without booking. This time we got there early and were seated without booking. We only tried dimsums and small dishes, all were as good as one could expect. The only disappointing part was the meagre portion of roast pork belly for $145, the meat was about 6cm x 8cm the size of a deck of cards. The restaurant was split into two parts, the front part was very pleasant with window facing Exchange Square, the other part was windowless and felt claustrophobic. Service was efficient but not warm and one of few places that still has table (cover) charge on top of service charge.

Google
Mid to upmarket Cantonese restaurant chain with nice deco. Service quality can sometimes fluctuate wildly & generally not well regarded in hospitality. Tea was served with tea bag in pot & too plain due to insufficient tea leaves. When we asked to add more tea leaves, they finally did but ended up adding the wrong kind of tea leaves. Today’s dim sums were quite nice except the turnip cakes were a bit too powdery & tough. Today’s experiences were generally nice perhaps given the fact that our friend was a regular customer here. Recently went for dinner again & noted that still good execution of dishes whereby quality has been better than other chain stores. Services was decent. Interior was still cozy. We’re positively surprised to find it’s very good value when asked for the bill.

Yelp
First thing's first-- 90 minutes of dining time, non-negotiable. But that seems to be the rule around here with ALL reputable places. Once you've ordered.. the food comes on pretty fast. And let me just say.. they do tofu and marinated beef right. All their tofu, that's not fried, are so soft and soy-licious. I've decided to divulge into the vegetarian side and ordered the mixed pot of veggies. Whatever it's called. When it arrives it's still bubbling in it's beautiful clay pot. I can say I don't care too much for the stringy seaweed laver.. seems like too much of a filler. The woodear mushroom are plentiful as are the two varieties of tofu and baby bok choy. Cooked very very well but so cornstarchily-thick. All the seafood are fresh and well prepared. But if you're ordering the 'single' portion just know it is tiny comparing to western standards but probably just perfect for eastern delicacies. The service is incredibly speedy in order to move the crowd. Reservation is highly recommended otherwise come like five minutes before they open so they can sit you after ten.

Yelp
Extremely rude and condescending staff. We were at the restaurant 30 seconds after it opened and the hostess told us they were full. Yet they had room for others who arrived after us. The only difference? We were tourists. Never go to any Lei Garden restaurant again.

Yelp
3.5 stars We were planning to go Tim Ho Wan for lunch at the IFC mall but the long line just proved to be too much. My brother said let us go to Lei Garden. We did not have a reservation but we got a table after waiting for less than 5 minutes. Guess we were lucky again since today is a Saturday with the malls and everywhere packed with people. Service was ok, not a 5 star service for sure. We asked the female staff for a glass of iced water, she gave us a glass of water alright but it was piping hot :( Food wise.. 1) pan fried carrot cake - F (too much flour, arrrgghhh) 2) Glutinous rice steamed in lotus leaf - A+ (both the rice and meat inside were savory) 3) Rice noodle roll with BBQ pork - B+ (I ate enough of these to know what is good; rice roll too thick and not soft enough) 4) Steamed shrimp dumplings with mushroom - A (lots of shrimp but still fell short, something is missing) 5) Prawn paste marinated wings - Unknown (Did not try) 6) Xiao Long Bao or steamed pork dumplings - A+ (Not as good as Ding Tai Fong but close enough) 7) BBQ pork bun - A- (not fluffy enough and a lot of fatty meat; Taste Paradise at Ion Orchard Singapore has the best BBQ buns so far) 8) Mango with grapefruit and sago (dessert) - A- (Lei Garden claimed that they were the one that introduced this mango dessert dated back in 1987, if that was indeed true, they are falling behind. I had way better of this dessert elsewhere.) If I ever visit Hong Kong in future, will I return to Lei Garden? Definitely not. There are just too many better dim sum/Chinese restaurants to choose from.

Yelp
Food: 4.0/5.0 Service: 3.0/5.0 Value: 3.0/5.0 Decor: 4.0/5.0 Overall: 3.5/5.0 I'm generally a fan of Lei Garden. I tried to walk in on a lazy Sunday evening but couldn't get in till fairly late. The food was pretty good. I really need to try LG's dim sum at some point.

Yelp
Semi-upscale Cantonese food. Good dim sum all-around. However, their signature three-layered crispy pork is a let-down / really nothing special - would have liked the pork's skin to be crispier

Yelp
Must eat: their soup of the day, cheong fun, red date pudding and chicken feet. Must do: eat quickly as they have a limited amount of time for you to dine before they kick you out for their next booking

Yelp
Are here for lunch before heading home and at first dismayed that they didn't have a table for three. But as we hung out just contemplating where to go suddenly they had a table. Yay! Our friend ordered for us and it was seriously delicious. Had choi sum sautéed with some fermented beans so good. My mom chowed on a whole green crab cooked in salt and green onion. They provided gloves which were a nice touch. They bring a teapot with tea and then a separate teapot with hot water so you can refill your tea and keep it from getting too bitter! But my favorite here was the dessert which was so surprising since I don't like sweets. But my friend ordered this chilled mango tapioca pomelo soup which was refreshing and delicious and also these mochis filled with black sesame and covered in peanut dust. Both so excellent and yummy. The menu and ordering is hard to navigate. Luckily our friend was there. The restaurant is bright and modern. Although they close at 3 so they make you pay and then don't want you to hang around too long after that. Still those desserts were a tasty surprise.

Yelp
Dimsum was pretty good here, had the traditional dishes. Nothing too spectacular but better than a majority of the places we had in HK. I wanted seafood but felt bad because it wasn't diner time yet and we had to eat dinner later, but the tank looked absolutely delicious, if that makes any sense. Service was good and it looked as if reservations were required.

Yelp
the lunch experience is just BAD. I came over 10:30am to reserve a table on 1:30pm. we arrived on time but waited for 1hour! During yhe waiting, the waitress was just trying to cheat, very foxy. never come back again.

Yelp
first of all the taste was ok, but definitely NOT worth the price. and i might have some miss understanding about the service fee. i could understand certain dishes take time to make. BUT could you PLEASE let us know? 10% service fee for NOTHING.

Yelp
Clean, upscale and delicious dim sum in the IFC center. This place has/used to have(?) a Michelin star. The booths are divided by a classy divider. All the food we ordered was great, from dim sum to dessert. Too bad we were too full from a prior meal before coming.

Yelp
This place is F.A.N.C.Y!!! I've never heard of a dim sum place where u can or must make a reservation! They also have fresh flowers at every table! Like nice flowers - ones you would see at a four star hotel. The place is also furnished with nice furniture and fancy chopsticks lol. The food is just as fancy! They come in these pretty white plates. I mean, they even made chicken feet look like a high end delicacy. All the dim sum we ordered was delicious! Three of us had ~ 15 dishes, that seems like a lot to even me. But it was all so good - even their Shanghai dumplings. I was also skeptical bc this was dim sum, but nope - it's good stuff haha

Yelp
Lei Garden sets the standard for quality dim sum in a beautiful and clean setting. Every time I visit Hong Kong, I make a habit to visit any one of the Lei Gardens. This Central location is my favorite of all. Located inside the IFC on the third floor, this place is a great stop if you happen to be visiting the famous IFC(where Batman jumped from IFC tower 2 to tower 1 in Dark Knight). When Lei Garden received a Michelin Star for its dimsum, I wasn't surprised. Consistency along with quality is what makes this place a gem. Every visit was memorable and every piece of dim sum here is top notch. There are a few things this restaurant is known for besides their dim sum: Tofu Ensemble - razor thin slices of tofu served in a very attractive presentation. It tastes good, but I feel like it is more about the presentation than anything. Long boiled soup - our waiter said that you could only order this by phone when you reserve your table but made an exception. This soup varies from day to day. The one we had was winter melon with silkie chicken soup. By far the smoothest I've ever had. Much better than homemade. Roast pork - A definite must get. Suckling pig roast pork is one of those things very unique in Hong Kong. You'll find roast pork in any Chinatown around the world, but in general, Hong Kong's suckling roast pork is on a whole another level. Lei Garden's roast pork is spectacular and so is the presentation. On a few occasions, service was little slower than expected. Servers are usually very attentive. The attention and therefore, service, escalates if you're in a private room. Expect huge crowds on weekend brunch or on holidays. Since this is considered luxury dim sum/Cantonese dining, expect much higher prices than your standard Chinese restaurant.

Yelp
Stopped here after a ferry ride from TST area. After lots of walking and shopping, my family and I wanted an upscale but fairly quick place to eat Dim Sum/ general Cantonese food. We didn't know what to expect, but apparently they had seated us just before the kitchen goes for break around 3pm so they can prep before dinner time. What looked to be the head waiter came over to us and rushed us to order before we had time to read the menu, because "the kitchen was closing so we had better hurry up" I know typical Cantonese and Dim Sum style places will come over right away to take your order but he stood there telling us the kitchen was going to close. We asked him for the best dishes he could suggest but he still stood there. I then asked for just one more minute so my aunt could decide for the table. I was starting to lose my patience around this time. We saw another younger waitress who could take our order and thought she placed it, but the same head waiter came over with the order sheet and rudely asked us if we weren't going to order more because it didn't seem like we ordered enough for 4. We told him we weren't super hungry and wanted to be sure to finish. Finally our dishes came out and then he walked over again to ask if we wanted to order anything else. We told him no because by this time we were so tired of the bad attitude. Then, he came over again to bring the bill - which, if I'm not mistaken it's again considered rude to rush customers when they haven't asked for the bill. About 10 mins later another younger worker told us that the restaurant was closing in 5 minutes (again reminding us that we needed to leave). For such an expensive place, I would hope management would be better trained to serve. Plus it was $10 USD for the tea only...and they wouldn't even provide iced water. The food was decent but I nor my family will ever go back or suggest this place.

Yelp
one of my favorite top chinese food chains. can pretty much trust that it will be good no matter where you go. Like choosing any Din Tai Fung in the world. Lei Garden executes dim sum and cantonese dishes well, at a bit higher price. good old reliable spot. banquet dinner, great seafood, but duck as just ok.

Yelp
I think this place is too expensive for the food they offer. I had crispy chicken with rice and spare ribs garlic with Ginger. Food came late, quality was ok, but price for both was hefty. Avoid and go to a restaurant outside the ifc mall.

Yelp
Excellent service, staff were very efficient. Food was well presented and delicious, service was quick. One comment on the staff, they could smile more, too focus on efficiency and not much warmth and emotion. Highly recommend to show case foreign visitors.

Yelp
Reservations a must on weekends!!!! I'm in HK for a layover and saw the great reviews so I thought I'd try it. I walked around the ITC mall until it opened only to find out reservations are a must for lunch on a Saturday. The lady at the front shooed me away, typical rudeness I expected in an Asian restaurant. Lucky enough there's a restaurant a few door,s over, Tasty Congee which was great.

Yelp
Good Cantonese food but way too overpriced! With these prices, I would go for Lung King Hin at Four Seasons or others. But generally food quality is ok. Clean and genuine Cantonese food.
