All facilities are good. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-appointed, with comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The hotel's location was perfect, within walking distance to major attractions and local restaurants. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. Overall, a wonderful experience and we highly recommend

They offer very reasonable prices for spacious and clean rooms. One of my favorites is their homemade food, which is both delicious and healthy. While it's not expensive, you need to order in advance for lunch and dinner. They also have a swimming pool and a view for those who want to watch the sunrise and sunset. When you book a room, they might provide a glass bottle for water to reduce plastic pollution. If you're thirsty, you can refill the water at reception.

Situated overseeing Ayeyarwaddy river bank with lovely view of curve and deep ground mounds. Colonial style cottages are spaceous and cute. Landscaping with smooth grass and trees are romatic. Service is warm. But road to hotel is a bit narrow although well paved

Very nice view overseeing Ayeyarwaddy river bank and typical small and sharp hills of middle Myanmar. Rooms are wounderfully large with colonial taste decoration. Service is warm. Green thinking glass water bottle refil and reuseable baskets are lovely. A littile far from main road, although it was well paved.

This magical little social enterprise guest house is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Irrawaddy River. |If you are looking to escape the tourist route but maintain your comforts this is for you. |The local staff are delightful and attentive. The food is plentiful, extremely tasty and well presented. |Breakfast on the terrace was especially lovely with whole meal bread, eggs cooked however you like them, a local bircher muesli and homemade banana butter.|The pool is large and cooling with lounges.|The rooms have aircon and fans or you can open the windows as they have screens. |Quite a few local excursions are on offer and there is even a golf course in the town. |Staying here supports the school next door which is helping 100s of disadvantaged children and the Foundation has many other micro projects which are providing very poor families with opportunities that can change their lives. |It’s two hours from bagan and only about 8,000kyat each way. They can help you to book this or you can always hire a car and driver for about $60US each way. |Great value for money... lovely local village walks or just sit and look at the views!

It’s hard to find words to accurately describe Lei That Gone and what it offers to you, but here goes. It might take a while to get here but - oh my - it is so worth it to be amazed by the magical views and embraced by the real Myanmar friendliness and hospitality. On top of that you contribute to a very worthy cause.||Eric Trutwein is the founder and manager of this wonderful project where the guest house helps fund their school providing dearly needed education to 130+ poor or orphaned children. Despite Eric’s ailing health, he and his absolutely wonderful staff offer the kindest and most genuine service that anyone could ask for, from dawn to dusk.||The excellent breakfast is served by the patio from 6 AM with the spectacular view towards the river where you enjoy seeing the village below awakening. ||Dinner is served at 7 PM in the restaurant and is a three course dinner with really excellent flavors. If you are lucky the desert is their mango pudding that is absolutely to die for (and we know our mango puddings well;). The price is 8 USD per person and you need to order in the morning (no worries, they will ask) so they can prepared it fresh and in enough amounts.||You can go visits the school that is just a few minutes walk. They also offer various tours including Irrawaddy fishing with local fishermen (the fish caught will be served to you in the evening), motorbike tours to see surrounding temples and monasteries without the hustle and bustle of Bagan. On your own, you can walk down to the farmer villages towards the river or the other side of the hill to Yanang Yaung village itself that has a really fun and busy morning market. If you need transport to or from their guest house, they can arrange that at a fair price. ||The rooms are large, clean and has everything you need, although not luxurious being a guest house. You get refillable water bottles in the room and there are 20 l bottle water stations around the site (yes, it’s safe and you spare the country some plastic waste). Amenities like soap, shampoo, tooth brush are provided. There is also a fridge in the room that you can fill yourself.||We got here by car from Pyay (5 h) and it is about 1.5 h from Saley on the quick route (Saley is about 1 h by car from Bagan). You can also fly into Magway and then it is about 1 h to Lei Thar Gone.||2.5 star according to the hotel ranking but 6 star for the heart, soul and mind. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We will for sure return!

This Guesthouse is quite hidden on the hill beside Ayeyarwady river and when we found it, all our travelling triedness are relieved. Google map is not much helpful in finding it. There is a signboards at the front of Township administration office ( Locals called Ma Wa Ta ) showing small side street to the gusthouse. Just follows the signboards and will first reach to the private mission school for poor children. There is a small street beside the school which goes downwards through hill and then upwards again to reach the guesthouse with magnificent Ayeyarwady river view accompany by green and yellow farms and local villages. Rooms are clean and spacious. Air condition and hot shower available. There are two swimming pools. One for adults and one for the children which is one step down by the stairs. Breakfast is just bread & eggs and some yogurt. If need lunch and dinner, have to order prior. Wifi only available in the reception area. The gusthouse is hard to access but once you are there, its hard to leave.

We stayed 2nights and it was one of the place we loved the most in Myanmar...it's definitely a place we will never forget. ||Out of the touristic routes, this lovely guest house will give you amazing landscape, the possibility to seefisherman villages, the opportunity to visit the Light of Love school, founded by Eric (the owner)
