A lovely post festive stay at Leighton House! We thought the price for parking and breakfast inc was great. Our welcome from Daniel who showed us our room was lovely. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection, with added treats of cookies, jam and juices. We did think the breakfast room was rather cold and could have done with the heating turning up. Despite this, the young ladies who served us were lovely and great servers. The lounge area was delightful and I enjoyed the design features such as the bouquets of flowers, lovely art in the hallways and also a help yourself section for teas and milk. We booked the superior double option and it had ample space and the bed and bedding was sumptuous and soft. Had a great night's sleep. The only minor was that the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been, there was grime and dust on the door panels which indicated a not so thorough clean and a little mold around the shower. A bobble had been left in the shower along with the soap & moisturiser dispensers appearing dirty. This was the only gripe in an otherwise lovely stay, I put it down to a rushed clean maybe? I would have liked if the rooms had books and dried flowers like in the photographs, the design lamp was nowhere to be seen in our room either. Nothing to bother about but if such touches are pictured I believe it should be the case. The chair covers in our room needed a deep clean or replacing and I would repaint the area where walls are scratched from hangers / chairs. Well located for Bath, a 10 minute walk into the centre (downhill) so be aware if not as able and note the uphill walk back. Local recommendations include Bikanos Indian for a top notch meal and The Moorfields pub for great live music & friendly locals. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely one night stay at this beautiful boutique guesthouse. The little touches were fab i.e the beautiful smell and the small mince pies on arrival. The towels and quilt and pillows were sumptuous and the breakfast was fabulous. The staff were lovely friendly and polite. My only niggle was I thought our room was a touch on the small size for the money but again free parking a lovely breakfast and tea and coffee in the room so no real moan is warranted - would definitely come back to a charming guesthouse in a charming city

We had a wonderful stay in Bath at Leighton House. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway. Our room was beautiful and spacious. Since we hadn’t been to Bath before, we didn’t realize that it was hillier than we anticipated and that the guesthouse is up a decent hill from the city. However, the walk was very doable, and on days when we didn’t feel like doing the walk, the bus stop was just up the hill and very convenient and easy to use. Overall, I will be dreaming of this places for years. Would love to come back.

This guest house is very clean and is in a quite good location. The walk into the city is about 10-15 mins which is all down hill, the walk back is a bit of a trek going back up hill but not to bad if your fairly fit. The breakfast is good, certainly above average.|The room is nice but a bit basic, no fridge which would be nice. The bathroom is modern however the plug in our basin didn’t hold water which was a bit disappointing. Our room was overlooked and the windows didn’t have nets so we had to keep the curtains closed while getting dressed, it’s a small thing but would be nice if you could let in a bit of natural light. |The biggest problem we had was with the noise heard from other rooms, there doesn’t seem to be much sound insulation. We could clearly hear snoring from another room. We could hear conversations, movements and when the room above had a shower, it sounded like a rain storm on a roof above. Unfortunately this really affected our sleep as the room above were early risers, they were up chatting and showering at 5am. Maybe we were unlucky but it meant we didn’t have a great stay due to our sleep being interrupted.

We’re a couple with a young child, and when we book hotels, I always select 2 adults and then pay separately for our child’s breakfast if needed. He sleeps between us, so we never require an extra bed. I’ve stayed in over 100 hotels and have never had an issue with this. This was the first time I was charged £60 per night (without breakfast) just because my child slept in the same bed with us. There was no extra service provided—same room, no extra bed, no additional cost for the hotel. As we had already prepaid and were told it was “policy,” we had no choice but to accept it. It felt unfair and very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to families.

This is a really lovely guesthouse, spick and span throughout, tastefully decorated and well staffed by pleasant obliging young folk. Our room was large (space the new luxury) the bathroom equally so, with a a walk-in shower and huge bath. Air conditioning was a bonus during a very hot spell. Breakfast was excellent, cooked items fresh and nicely done, and there was a wide selection of juices, croissants etc. Quibbles? I'm not sure there are actually enough parking spaces for the number of guests, but we left our car parked and travelled by bus or Uber to town, a matter of minutes away. If you decide to walk, be aware that the Leighton House is most of the way up a pretty steep hill full of rushing traffic. Also I'm not sure there are any nice eating places within walking distance - the (fairly) nearby pub looked rather gloomy and the fare on offer not cheap. But the Leighton House overall is little gem, and it would certainly be on our list next time we visit Bath.

We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Leighton House Hotel. The room was brilliant (15), the staff very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent both days. The walk into the city centre was easy and only 10-15 minutes. Coming back is definitely a taxi ride. But we would thoroughly recommend staying in this beautiful and well appointed hotel

Beautiful guest house, modern stylish room and en-suite. Spotlessly clean and friendly welcoming staff. Great location with an easy walk into the City Centre. Plenty of parking spaces and the breakfast was fantastic. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Bath.
