This is a really lovely guesthouse, spick and span throughout, tastefully decorated and well staffed by pleasant obliging young folk. Our room was large (space the new luxury) the bathroom equally so, with a a walk-in shower and huge bath. Air conditioning was a bonus during a very hot spell. Breakfast was excellent, cooked items fresh and nicely done, and there was a wide selection of juices, croissants etc. Quibbles? I'm not sure there are actually enough parking spaces for the number of guests, but we left our car parked and travelled by bus or Uber to town, a matter of minutes away. If you decide to walk, be aware that the Leighton House is most of the way up a pretty steep hill full of rushing traffic. Also I'm not sure there are any nice eating places within walking distance - the (fairly) nearby pub looked rather gloomy and the fare on offer not cheap. But the Leighton House overall is little gem, and it would certainly be on our list next time we visit Bath.

This hotel is in a great location just a 10 min walk from the city centre. ||We received a warm welcome. Nice rooms, comfy bed and nice showers. |Good selection at breakfast, although they couldn’t offer any sweeteners for tea/coffee which I thought was unusual. ||Could do with a fridge in the room to keep drinks in if staying for a couple of days. Hotel was very dark and the rooms could do with more lighting. They mentioned snacks available in the bar area although I never saw any. We enjoyed our stay but this is not a 5 star hotel. For the price I would have expected more.

We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Leighton House Hotel. The room was brilliant (15), the staff very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent both days. The walk into the city centre was easy and only 10-15 minutes. Coming back is definitely a taxi ride. But we would thoroughly recommend staying in this beautiful and well appointed hotel

This is an elegant guesthouse, with well-designed, comfortable modern rooms on a hill overlooking Bath. The design rivals a very high-end hotel. But the service, while cheerful and pleasant, was not so high end. There were many minor flaws: Our toilet was not fully cleaned when we arrived. We waited 30 minutes to place our order one morning at breakfast. The beer selection at the hotel bar consisted of cheap international beers like Corona — no English beer. And the only wine available was prosecco. The staff were cheerful, but seemed inexperienced. Fortunately, the cooked breakfast was very good. The location is a 20 minute walk from the center, which presents both pros and cons. Free parking was a plus. On balance, it is a lovely hotel and a good value.

A lovely hotel & stay. We stayed in room 4 on the ground floor next to the breakfast room. We had an issue with constantly hearing the doors into the kitchen & breakfast room close early in the morning but my husband mentioned it to staff & they quickly addressed the issue & rectified the problem.|Lovely breakfast each morning & the staff were very polite & helpful.|Our room was spacious & comfortable. The en-suite was a good size too & clean. Bed was comfortable & lovely pillows.|The communal areas are very nicely done & the breakfast room is light & airy.|The hotel is a short walk to the centre of Bath, great going as its downhill but a bit of a steep incline on the way back - so if you have mobility problems then might not be the hotel for you or get a taxi back….|I think the room facilities could be improved by having a small fridge in the room. |We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel & our time in Bath.|Thank you!

What a lovely place to stay in Bath which is relatively inexpensive and includes a brilliant breakfast The rooms are roomy. I had a great view of the city. The rooms are all very modern with temperature controls, shower, excellent tiling in bathroom and a very comfortable bed and study table. Couldn’t have asked for more. Then there is the free parking. The breakfast is cooked with either orders such as English breakfast or alternatives of eggs Benedict etc. The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. I enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed our visit but just not 5 stairs I’m afraid. Our room and bathroom were fine with good views and a generous size. The best things were the view and room plus the lovely breakfast and proper coffee- all nicely presented. The car park was a reason we choose this as we often stay at Dukes in Central Bath. I am not giving it five as I felt the lounge was dark with a lack of small snacks and the welcome though efficient was not warm. Wellsway is very busy but the house is quiet

Stayed at Leighton House for the weekend while participating in the Bath Half Marathon. Lovely boutique hotel, really nicely furnished, lovely decor. Great room with a lovely shower, comfy beds. Really good breakfast, great menu & a quality buffet too. ||Special mention to the excellent, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, they even let me go back hours after checking out to shower & change after the run! Will definitely stay there again when next in Bath.
