A brilliant idea - someone has converted a former gas works (gasometer) into an exhibition space for displaying giant panoramic pictures.
The exhibition I happened to see was The Great Barrier Reef. As a visitor you are first stunned by the exhibits of different corals and sea creatures, then bombarded with facts about the different symbiotic interactions of sea creatures, before being led into the centre, and the piece de resistance - a 360 degree, 30 metre high picture of the Great Barrier Reef, complete with viewing platform (to see from different angles), changing light levels and relaxing music.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area(though the exhibition changes on a regular basis so check in advance to find out what it is)
