Tried the famous Ponche Segoviano at Pastelería Limón y Menta — a bit too sweet for me. Same for the lemon sorbet, but at least the sour kick was refreshing!

Crowded place with lot of tourists. Tried the Ponche Segovia dish which is the famous one from here. It was indeed tasty! Go for this place if you want to quickly try some local delicacies, but be prepared to wait in line.

I tried the typical ponche Segoviano with a coffee. Very nice pastry! Lovely waitress Maria. It all of a sudden got very busy!

The ponche de Segovia was delicious. We were too full from our lunch so we decided to split one ponche between the four of us. We didn’t expect to like it so much, we felt we could have eaten a half portion each. Definitely recommend the Ponche de Segovia. We also had the cocas de piñones, pine nuts pastry. It was ok, not bad. We did a take away since the place was stifling with heat even if this was in October, probably a lack of ventilation. There were tables at the back but it didn’t seem to be too clean, maybe because it was the end of the day. Service was so so too - we weren’t attended too for a bit of time. There were 3 of us who had to try to get their attention. Maybe it was end of day and they were tired. Overall, the ponche is recommended. I would return for their ponche and do a take away again and sit at the benches at their Plaza Mayor to enjoy it.

This place smells as amazing as it looks. Everything seems delicious. We got the ponche and florones. We got the chocolate one - delish! They had a cafeteria in the back as well to sit and eat which was nice. The worker there was great in handling our allergies. She packed the dessert separately to avoid any cross contamination of nuts.

So I was a bit weary of this place due to the reviews of service but luckily we had no issues. We had 2 ladies at the counter and the one who served us was nice and answered our questions. Wesat at the back for a break during the rain and I got to try my Ponche dessert which was sweet but nice to try. If this dessert intrigues you, give it a try. We also got a pastry and coffee as well.

Tried small portion pencho de segovia. So sweet but refreshing at the same time. Ice cream section is crowded.

Yelp
This was our go-to breakfast cafe in Spain. Everything we tried was amazing from matcha to lattes to the bre-tzels and pastries.

Yelp
When in Segovia, you must try ponche de Segovia! And this is a great place to try it! What I ordered: They had a wide selection of desserts to choose from, but I of course had to get the ponche. I am not a huge marzipan fan, but it just hits different here. It's so sweet so if you don't have a huge sweet tooth, I recommend sharing with someone! The price is 3€ for an individual ponche, which I think is pretty good. There were a couple of tables in the back if you feel like sitting for a cup of coffee with dessert.

Yelp
Poncho Segoviano is a must when in Segovia! Best poncho in Segovia for €3!!!! Some tips and tricks - try to avoid buying pastries in the restaurant .. they're kind of overpriced. I stew visit a patisserie or a place selling posters like this place! The poncho def gives me a tres leches vibe (for the Americans!) all soft, squishy and moist when fresh. I recommend buying the small version and NOT the whole cake UNLESS you're trying to feed a family !

Yelp
Get the ponche segoviano!!! One of the best desserts I've ever had. Wish I could've tried some of everything

Yelp
Walked by the bakery and saw tons of baked goodies! Loved the huge selection & managed to grab myself a box of assorted cookies. Great choice selection! On the sweeter side so would be perfect with a cup of tea or coffee!

Yelp
In Segovia there are three typical dishes: Suckling pig, La Granja beans and Segovia ponche. This is a rich lemon-infused sponge cake coated with marzipan and topped in icing sugar with a distinctive criss-cross pattern. And right at the edge of the Plaza Mayor, you'll find this yummy little Pasteleria that serves this and other tempting choices. Gayle and I stopped here at Limón y Menta during a recent day trip to Segovia. It was late in the morning on Día de Hispania, and things were still quiet. We ordered or delicious pastries and took a seat at the rear coffee shop for or Solo and Con Leche choices. The selection up front was rich, our time together was soothing, and it was a smart first stop for what turned out to be an enjoyable Segovia Día.

Yelp
End your trip to Segovia with a bang at Limón y Menta. Order the Ponche Segoviano. I don't like lemon desserts at all but the Ponche Segoviano was so damn delicious. Such a great way to end our Segovia day trip. Except the coffee we didn't try anything else because everyone keeps writing about the Ponvhe Segoviano. Please go try it.

Yelp
Nice bathrooms, good service, tasty food. The location is very accessible and cute. Will visit again next time I'm in Segovia.

Yelp
Their Ponche Segoviano is no joke. Buy it, buy it now. I'm not sure what anything else tastes like as this was my only purchase but it super yummy.

Yelp
Well arranged pastries Held up to the reviews. Affordable, fresh baked goodies. Best to come with a friend to try an assortment of items as you'll find some of the pastries very sweet and requires 2 people to finish it.

Yelp
MARZIPAN MARZIPAN MARZIPAN. Guess what I ordered here? A marzipan :) My mom and I found out about this bakery through Rick Steve's guide book. The actual term is ponche segoviano, or marzipan cake. The bakery sells "porcion de ponche" 3€, which is what I bought, or "torta de ponche" for 10€ per 1/2kg, which is what I wish I had bought :( Now onto my favorite part: the marzipan cake itself. Goodness, how do I even start describing this wonder block of pastry perfection? Perhaps as a hybrid of rich egg tart-custard-cream-mochi goodness. In between the bottom egg-custard layer and the denser crumbly layer is a plane of chocolate-cinnamony cream, wrapped in this opaque mochi layer and topped with some type of honey glaze and powdered sugar. I really don't know how else to describe it. It's just. So. Good. It's very sweet though. But. It's just. So. Good. They say Toledo's bakeries have great marzipan (it's aite), but let me tell you, Segovia's is better. Go here for a taste of marzipan heaven--you won't regret it.

Yelp
Quite good bakery, I had a Caña de Cabello de Ángel which was tasty and flavorful. On the other hand, being a touristy place the service is quite mechanic and cold.

Yelp
Pretty terrible. One person working in post-lunch rush. Took forever to get served and no time to get samples so would've avoided the merengue flavor which was pure ice. Would've left given the wait but kids were drawn in by the window display.

Yelp
Omg you guys who wrote these great reviews must be into dark comedy or smoking something cause this stuff was absolute garbage. I had the worst empanada there. I literally gave it to a starving cat outside instead. Same with the croissant with ham. Omg then the pastries....you've got to be kidding me. It tasted like it was sitting for a month somewhere. I'm convinced that a lot of these great reviews r fake. Good luck suckers. I have to admit I fell for it too

Yelp
The ponche is incredible and absolutely worth the madness at the counter. Our individual portion shared between two people was just right for a small snack, though as we were finishing the last precious bites we were already discussing a return trip tomorrow. The flavor was much more pleasant than marzipan I've had outside Spain, I'd have to describe it as a lemon curd almond creme brûlée marzipan concoction. You'll need a spoon to eat this and remember some napkins as even careful handling can lead to sticky hands. Lovely treat to enjoy while people watching in Plaza Mayor.

Yelp
Awesome brittle. We got almond brittle and pine nut brittle. So good. Did not stick to the teeth. Very crunchy. We got something with marzipan - too sweet. Did not like that.

Yelp
Right on the edge of Plaza Mayor is this bakery restaurant that carried the most delicious crocantinos!!! Tiny bite size treats made with nuts held together by a light, caramel crisp were oh so good. Choices included almond, pine nuts and I think macadamia, but my fave was pine nuts. So I bought several dozens to bring home to California. Servers speak very little to no English. Tip: Fill up the box so they won't be jostled around. Grab a bunch of the pastry paper from the dispenser and cover the crocantinos inside the box to preserve the freshness and from sticking between layers. These babies made it home in a week and were still so fresh. Glad I bought some to take home. I had looked for these all over other cities in Spain during the latter part of my trip to no avail.

Yelp
Came here while passing through the plaza during siesta, and had no idea it was a Rick Steve's recommendation/the best place for ponche Segovia, which we of course had to try. Right next door is the place that apparently invented it? But they didn't have seating so we rounded the corner and stumbled into Limon y Menta. Individual ones are 3E or you can get an entire thing for 12E. We got a smaller one to try first and enjoyed it so got a big one for our breakfast the next day. Numerous other desserts as well and solid wifi!

Fancy little bakery :) Came here for the famous Segovian ponche & it was quite good. The coffee was excellent :)

Yelp
My friends and I visited this bakery many times during our stay while on tour with our orchestra. Incredibly tasty and not too pricy! It is conveniently located in this beautiful city and was not too far from our hotel or various tourist sites. It also has a cute and enticing storefront with baked goods in the windows. The raspberry tart and traditional Segovian aqueduct cake were my personal favorites. Even though it was very crowded, it didn't take long to be served and pay for the items. There isn't too much room within the store, however, but we ended up purchasing many pastries and ate them as we walked around the city or when we arrived back in our hotel rooms. By far the best bakery I visited on our tour and I visited many since my friends and I "bakery hopped" when we had finished our sightseeing tours.

Yelp
In an area with tons of food to choose from, I like the idea of a cute bakery. However, I wasn't too fond of the rude service, the chocolate croissant was dry, and the coffee was just that. Perhaps it's fine enough for tourists, but in a country of divine food, I can't see how this place makes it.

Yelp
Being the eccentric person I am, I went into a pasteleria to get a pizza. They had several varieties which looked good, so I went with the barbacoa pizza. I tried to get iced tea, which they could not understand so they brought out tea with a single piece of ice in the cup. The pizza was excellent, reasonably priced around eight Euros, with a very thin crust and a thick, less sweet sauce than American pizzas. It was truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

Yelp
The Ponche Segoviano, or cake with puddling covered in marzipan is absolutely the best! The croissants are really good, too, and the coffee is better than most in Spain, but the Ponche Segoviano is worth a trip to Segovia! You can buy individual portions, so you can take some with you for the road, as we did.
