I recently stayed at Lemon Tree Vadodara and unfortunately my experience was not very satisfactory.
Cons:
1. The reception staff was not professional or cooperative. It felt like they were more focused on finding reasons to charge extra rather than supporting guests. Despite checking in only 4 hours early, it was billed as a full day, which was very disappointing and unreasonable.
2. The food quality and quantity need major improvement. The buffet options were limited, and the quantity was not adequate. The rice was hard, dried, and clearly not freshly prepared—similar to several other items in the buffet.
3. The bathroom drainage was poor and kept getting clogged, which was inconvenient and unhygienic.
4. Room maintenance needs attention. Basic upkeep seems neglected, which affects overall comfort during the stay.
5. Guest communication at the front desk is weak. Policies are explained rigidly without empathy or flexibility, leaving guests feeling unwelcome.
Positive Note:
This property has good potential if it is managed properly and guests are treated with respect. The restaurant staff deserves appreciation—they were polite, understanding, and tried to address issues once they were explained.
With better management, staff training, and a more guest-centric approach, this hotel could offer a much better experience.
