Lenkerhof (Lenk, Swiss Alps) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Lenkerhof represents the meeting of 300 years of history and modern day comfort. It provides tasteful rooms, each with an individual note, a 2 000m2 spa with sulphur spring and a ski slope running through its grounds. Not to mention one of the best and most varied half-board options in Switzerland, which is included in the price!" - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff and service were excellent and they made us feel and our time there so special. The spa is really lovely and has many different options. Both the restaurants were very good and we enjoyed our dinners and the sumptuous breakfast. |Thank you to all the staff for making our celebration so memorable!

You could argue that the hotel is slightly dated in design, but the service was absolute perfection from start to finish. True hospitality without any pretention but with all the attention to detail. The bread at breakfast was a tiny bit disappointing, stale and a bit uninspired - the wonderful view and delicious prepared warm food deserve a better bread offering to go with!

We visited the day spa as external guests and the experience was very disappointing. We arrived at 15:00, clearly mentioned that we would only be using the textile section of the spa and had to pay the full day rate for the entire spa. We paid CHF 136 for two people. The textile sauna area consists of just two very small saunas and one slightly larger one. The spa felt extremely limited, and we were done after barely an hour because there simply wasn’t much to do or explore. This experience felt underwhelming, outdated and absolutely not worth the money.

We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for two starters, and then another 30 minutes for a simple limoncello — which I had to ask for again 10 minutes later. The food and wine were actually good, and the Spanish and Greek waiters were kind, but the overall service was just painfully slow. It completely ruined the experience and made me feel disrespected as a guest. I’m staying at the hotel tonight — maybe things will improve — but for now, it’s a big no. UPDATE after the full stay: Unfortunately, things only got worse after dinner. Before booking, we called the hotel to ask if any construction work would affect the stay, and we were told nothing about noise or disturbance. Yet the next morning, construction started at 9:30 a.m., with loud noise in the room. The bathroom layout is very poor, and having carpet on the bathroom floor is simply unhygienic for any hotel, let alone one claiming 5 stars. At dinner, we had already waited 1h20 for two starters and had to ask for water three times over 20 minutes before it finally arrived. Even the table next to us commented on how badly we were being treated. Later, when paying, we were first given a wrong bill that charged us more than what we ordered, which was corrected immediately after we checked the bill ourselves, they then offered us coffees and a limoncello as a gesture. The spa area is far below any luxury standard: no robes, no cotton pads, only one toilet, towels to be collected at reception, and used sanitary paper left in the changing room. The sauna literally overlooks the construction site and workers (see photos). Finally, during check-out, we were told that if we wanted a spa gesture, we would need to remove our Google review. That kind of pressure is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. At 450 CHF per night, this is nowhere near a 5-star experience. I came here to rest and left exhausted and disappointed. That said, I want to sincerely thank the three kind waiters from the restaurant and the lovely receptionist who were genuinely attentive and warm throughout our stay. The issue clearly comes from management and organization, not from the staff themselves, who were doing their best. I’ve attached photos of the sauna view and the waste left in the changing area as proof.

I stayed at a wonderful hotel in Lenk, Switzerland, which provided captivating scenic views, enhancing the experience significantly. ||I appreciated the customer service in the Reception, Housekeeping, and Restaurant divisions. The warm hospitality and diligent attention to detail provided by the staff across the board improved the quality of my stay. ||While the breakfast spread was enjoyable, I would recommend diversifying the offer to improved the experience. I would also recommend adding one or two Asian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to the room service and restaurant menus.

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Eric during my stay at the hotel, and I can't express enough how exceptional his service was. From the moment I arrived, Eric greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. His professionalism and attentiveness are truly commendable. Eric went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, providing helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. His knowledge and enthusiasm made my experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, he was always readily available and eager to help. What impressed me the most was his friendly demeanor. Eric has a natural ability to put guests at ease, making the hotel feel like a home away from home. His positive attitude and genuine care for guests are qualities that set him apart. Overall, I highly recommend recognizing Eric for his outstanding service. He is a valuable asset to the hotel, and I look forward to seeing him again on my next visit!

This so-called “5-star” hotel in Lenk is an absolute joke. We arrived at 17:00, two full hours after the official check-in time of 15:00 — only to be told the rooms were still not ready. No explanation, no apology, nothing but a blank stare and a dismissive attitude from the front desk. The place itself is very old, tired, and clearly poorly maintained — absolutely not what you’d expect from a hotel that claims to be five stars. It felt more like an outdated guesthouse pretending to be a luxury property. To make things worse, the staff are completely unprofessional. Untrained, uninterested, and lacking even the basic sense of hospitality. We weren’t offered anything while waiting — not a drink, not a seat, not a word of concern. Just told to “wait” like we were bothering them. If this is how they treat guests before check-in, I can’t even imagine how bad the actual stay would be. We ended up leaving — and we’re glad we did. This place is misleading, outdated, and run by people who clearly don’t care. Avoid it. There are far better places near by Gstaad that actually understand what service and standards mean.

Went here for the second time and it was wonderful as always. I will however say, and this has nothing to do with the hotel itself but it was, unfortunately, a lot of misbehaving kids when we were there. Having two kids myself, I know how kids are, and frankly some of them shouldn't have been there, disturbing some of the guests. I would love for hotels to actually have kids free days, where you can enjoy the pool without having kids splash you with water on purpose.
