Lenkerhof (Lenk, Swiss Alps) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Lenkerhof represents the meeting of 300 years of history and modern day comfort. It provides tasteful rooms, each with an individual note, a 2 000m2 spa with sulphur spring and a ski slope running through its grounds. Not to mention one of the best and most varied half-board options in Switzerland, which is included in the price!" - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff and service were excellent and they made us feel and our time there so special. The spa is really lovely and has many different options. Both the restaurants were very good and we enjoyed our dinners and the sumptuous breakfast. |Thank you to all the staff for making our celebration so memorable!

I stayed at a wonderful hotel in Lenk, Switzerland, which provided captivating scenic views, enhancing the experience significantly. ||I appreciated the customer service in the Reception, Housekeeping, and Restaurant divisions. The warm hospitality and diligent attention to detail provided by the staff across the board improved the quality of my stay. ||While the breakfast spread was enjoyable, I would recommend diversifying the offer to improved the experience. I would also recommend adding one or two Asian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to the room service and restaurant menus.

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Eric during my stay at the hotel, and I can't express enough how exceptional his service was. From the moment I arrived, Eric greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. His professionalism and attentiveness are truly commendable. Eric went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, providing helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. His knowledge and enthusiasm made my experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, he was always readily available and eager to help. What impressed me the most was his friendly demeanor. Eric has a natural ability to put guests at ease, making the hotel feel like a home away from home. His positive attitude and genuine care for guests are qualities that set him apart. Overall, I highly recommend recognizing Eric for his outstanding service. He is a valuable asset to the hotel, and I look forward to seeing him again on my next visit!

Went here for the second time and it was wonderful as always. I will however say, and this has nothing to do with the hotel itself but it was, unfortunately, a lot of misbehaving kids when we were there. Having two kids myself, I know how kids are, and frankly some of them shouldn't have been there, disturbing some of the guests. I would love for hotels to actually have kids free days, where you can enjoy the pool without having kids splash you with water on purpose.

I booked a day spa at this hotel, and I was looking forward to it, unfortunately the mood started to shift right as I received their confirmation email. 1. First, they made it seem as if it was a huge deal and a great exception that they are letting us come in on Sunday, even though on our voucher Sundays were included. I can understand that maybe easter sunday can be quite busy, so we could have agreed on another date had they said so, instead of making us feel unwelcome in the email. 2. Once we arrived, we wanted to buy the package with the slippers and the bathrobes as it was an extra, however they apparently didn’t have any slippers anymore, which is very weird for a 5 star hotel spa. From what I’m reading now in previous reviews, it doesn’t seem to be a one time occurence. We were a bit taken aback, so I asked the employee why they didn’t send us an email so that we could have brought our own, as we didn’t want to walk barefoot. She just shrugged and told me that if I’m making this much fuss about slippers, I can just take my voucher and come back with it another day. When I was obviously getting upset, as it already took us 3 hours to get there, she thought she made up for it later by not making us pay for the bathrobes… 3. The pools were quite outdated and the temperature of the outdoor pool was lukewarm at best. I also nearly slipped in the pool area so the lack of slippers is clearly a safety hazard. 4. Another client of the spa came up to me to ask for sanitary pads. I apoligized and told her I didn’t have any and that probably the spa reception would have some or at least help her, but apparently they also couldn’t provide her with anything nor any help… All in all, if you’re wondering if you should book a day spa at this hotel, do not; I have never felt more unwelcome. For this price, you may as well go to other well deserving 5 star hotels in Gstaad or Engelberg, which have way better spas and professional personnel.

Absolutely amazing place with the best staff. Everyone went above and beyond during our stay. Brilliant SPA area- kids can use facilities between 7.30-17.30, which is fantastic. High quality breakfast, beautiful, spotless clean room (Junior Suite) with amazing views. Looking to book again already! I really wish they has proper coffee in lobby bar (made by barista not one click machine)

The first thing that struck me was that hardly any staff, apart from those at reception, spoke Swiss German.||The rooms are comfortable and truly five-star. We booked a Premium Junior Suite, which was very modern and came with all the amenities you could hope for.||As for the restaurants, they offer a "dine around" gourmet package for CHF 96, which is not only overpriced but also underwhelming. The food is far from exceptional and certainly not out of the ordinary. Both Spettacolo and Oh de Vie serve what is marketed as gourmet cuisine, but the execution doesn’t quite live up to the promise.||If you want something simpler, the bar is your only alternative, offering à la carte options like burgers and casual fare. However, it's not included in the gourmet package and doesn’t have the atmosphere of a proper dining venue.||The food quality can be disappointing. For example, the octopus we had at Oh de Vie was undercooked, which is simply unacceptable. If I want raw octopus, I’ll order a carpaccio.||Service at Spettacolo is also very slow — you might wait over an hour unless you reserve a table for 6:30 PM.||On a more positive note, breakfast was well-organized, with a good selection and attentive service.||The bar lounge itself feels rather dull, and unless you're sitting directly at the bar, the staff tends to ignore you.||Overall, I honestly think they can do better.||The village is just 5-10 minutes walk so you might like to book bed and breakfast and dine out.

This so-called “5-star” hotel in Lenk is an absolute joke. We arrived at 17:00, two full hours after the official check-in time of 15:00 — only to be told the rooms were still not ready. No explanation, no apology, nothing but a blank stare and a dismissive attitude from the front desk. The place itself is very old, tired, and clearly poorly maintained — absolutely not what you’d expect from a hotel that claims to be five stars. It felt more like an outdated guesthouse pretending to be a luxury property. To make things worse, the staff are completely unprofessional. Untrained, uninterested, and lacking even the basic sense of hospitality. We weren’t offered anything while waiting — not a drink, not a seat, not a word of concern. Just told to “wait” like we were bothering them. If this is how they treat guests before check-in, I can’t even imagine how bad the actual stay would be. We ended up leaving — and we’re glad we did. This place is misleading, outdated, and run by people who clearly don’t care. Avoid it. There are far better places near by Gstaad that actually understand what service and standards mean.
