This was my first time at this restaurant and this is definitely a run don't walk to place! First and most importantly the service and friendliness of the staff is second to none! Everyone was super kind and helpful in making selections for both food and drinks. I had the pleasure of getting served by Cara and Elliot and I hope the restaurant is using these people to train future workers. I started with the Cajun barbecue shrimp which is phenomenal. And then I did the create your own pizza and went with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and red sauce. This is hands down the best pizza I have ever had in Bloomington and it's near the top of the list in the entire state of Indiana that I have had so far. The crust is very airy, buttery and then crispy on the outside. They have an awesome beer selection and I went with what I think they called a double Belgian. It's absolutely amazing so make sure you try this. Definitely going to make this place a staple every time I visit Bloomington in the future. But get in there and try their pizza and you can thank me later!

The pizza came out pretty quickly, and the crust was unique but delicious. To drink, I ordered a lavender mint tea, which was refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. Rachel, my server, was attentive and ensured I had everything | needed. From the moment I arrived to the time I left, everything was seamless. No complaints whatsoever! If you're looking for a cute spot with great food, chill vibes, and excellent service, Lennie's should definitely be on your list.

This was my first visit to Lennie’s. We had a reservation for a large party. We were taken upstairs, which was really nice. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The food came out in a timely fashion and everything was correct. I ordered the bacon turkey melt and it was fabulous. My boyfriend ordered the French onion soup and he was not disappointed. We will definitely try eating here again! I will mention that they do have “tofu”as an alternative to meat.

I have been coming to Lennie's for years. The food is always delicious! Today was no exception! Stromboli - create your own. I went with the Italian sausage, ricotta cheese, spinach, roasted portobello mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious. House salad - I love the salads here. This features their homemade roasted red pepper dressing. It is very very good. Wine - I went for the Cabernet. My very good friend chose the Chardonnay. The wine is very good, though it is also very pricey. Spinach Artichoke Appetizer - my friend loves ordering this as her meal. I have had it before. It is very very good. Overall the food is outstanding. The service is wonderful. The restaurant is very clean. It is a little pricey for lunch, but of course we each got two glasses of wine - so that's four glasses total - which in turn adds to the expense of the lunch. I highly recommend this place!

Kelsey did an excellent job making sure the flat breads for the kids came out quickly. She was attentive. Other food was also great: Tuna jerk Salad, soup of the day, and a fries basket to share. Sitting on the patio was a delight even in the drizzle because of the overhang.

Delicious. Ate here while in town for college tour. We had turkey bacon wrap, pizza, and fry basket...all were great. Pizza kind of thick, like pan pizza. Bathrooms clean, great service.

We really enjoyed the calm pleasant atmosphere inside here and the cool wall art! Also the food was really good including the California pizza and southwest turkey club. I also was obsessed with their cucumber slaw which was a cucumber salad.

Lennie's was amazing the owner was so compassionate and kind. We had just traveled 28 hrs and were wanting some good warm food in the cold and had a furry companion with us. He made an exception and let us eat inside with our dog during the current cold weather. He even took time to tell us about the history of Lennie's. The food was amazing from appetizer, pasta to pizza. Will definitely be returning. Lennies made us feel like home when we were miles away from ours. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. Also very patient while we figured out what we wanted to try. My grandson had one of their huge sandwiches and he normally finishes everything that he gets but he couldn't finish that sandwich. It was just too big. I have the pesto pasta and it was delightful and my husband had meat lovers pizza. He enjoyed that we sat upstairs and it was nice to sit with the sun coming in that big window.!

Hubby and I decided to try Lennie's for the first time the other night and were surprisingly pleased with our food. We ordered the Big Fancy pizza and it was SOOO AMAZING!!! The service was great, and speedy once we ordered. The restaurant is on Kirkwood, which leaves a little difficulty for parking when the students are in town, but the food was worth the parking stress.

In a Nutshell: Good Food - Good People - Slow Service Gayle and I recently came to Lennie's as part of a family celebration for our Granddaughter's High School Graduation. I'd gladly come here again, as I thought the upstairs table, the menu, and wait staff were all solid (albeit a bit slow in order taking and delivery from the kitchen). It was a nice casual "campus" atmosphere. I had a nice Stromboli, but there was so much else to be tempted. I also appreciated the nice craft beer selection (Ruby Bloom for me). Tasty appetizers were also served, while we enjoyed getting to know Violet's boyfriend's family. Her parent's were also beaming as its not every day that your daughter is awarded Valedictorian.

Great day to be at Lennie's Brewpub in Bloomington, Indiana. They have great beer, fantastic food, and some great handcrafted sodas made by The Sodaguy! The service is wonderful. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. If you are in the area, check them out!

Great wings! Great flatbreads! The patio is beautiful! The service is exceptional! Perfect Bloomington restaurant!

Here's what you need to know: the flavor and baking not as good as it used to be, and the location is not nearly as charming as next to eigenmann hall on 10th, but the Stromboli was enjoyable and the stout from BBC (Bloomington brewing company) was good. The pesto dipping sauce was enjoyable too. Service was very friendly but painfully slow. Overall, good nostalgic flashback and nice patio dining.

Lennie's is a staple in Bloomington. I've been going here since they were on 10th street. The menu is much smaller than it used to be. Love the outdoor seating area now. Park in the nearby lot across from Hartzell's ice cream. Service was great, speedy and attentive. Brought me a water refill without even asking. Food was good. I would add protein to the beet salad which felt a little light on the beets for it to be named after the ingredient (might have just been the plating). My friend got the Lennie's original roast beef sandwich and enjoyed it plus he was glad he went with the cucumber slaw. Overall, a nice menu and solid option near IU campus. This is super close to the Sample Gates if you want to check out the view and enter campus.

Great outdoor seating. Nice in the summer when they close Kirkwood and put a tent out.

Pretty quaint spot on a sunday evening if you want to relax and have a beer. Friendly and calm atmosphere. Parking will be a bit difficult in downtown bloomington, so your best bet is to use the nearest parking garage which is very close.

Got the spaghetti and spinach and artichoke torta. They were good not amazing. The chicken quesadilla was different and not in a good way unfortunately. The staff was young but respectable. Need to try outside seating next

Went for dinner and received fast and great quality service. Love the layout of the restaurant and it's a cool place to eat a meal. Got the voodoo chili and it was phenomenal, just the right amount of spice. The stromboli I got was solid too but that chili in particular was to die for. Will be back.

Excellent Oktoberfest menu. Had appetizer, main entree and dessert! Service was outstanding - thank you Alva. It was busy and she still made sure to check on us for any needs. The owner Mike always makes time to say hello to his customers. Very relaxing environment.

Haven't been back to Lennie's since they've moved to Kirkwood, while I miss the old space for sentimental reasons, the new venue is very nice. Service was excellent, Voodoo Chili and Roasted Veggies with Tarragon Mayo were just as awesome as we remembered. The Lemon Tortellini and Supreme Stromboli were excellent. The Clown Convention Hazy warranted taking a couple of 4 packs home :)

I want to recommend everything here! However- I'll start with the delicious beer. BBC has a great IPA and Ruby Bloom is delicious. Their pizza... oh so good. Their salads! That house dressing! (Don't skip it: Italian plus blue cheese is amazing.) And the service is top-notch. The location is perfect. This is great for work meetings, family dinners, and drinks with friends. Go there now.

Lennie's was really nice, we sat outside and enjoyed the great evening weather and the hustle and bustle of the people walking around the street below. this restaurant is located just off of the campus so lots to see. This was one of the best meals I've had in Bloomington I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The homemade root beer is really good as well. This is a great place to eat and unwind.

A friend and I ordered the BBQ shrimp appetizer and were both sick for 2+ days. Won't be eating here again.

An amazing experience highlighted by great service We stopped by for a couple of drinks. Good beer and wine selection, and ended up adding a couple of soups after succumbing to the temptation of seeing such great dishes passing us by. Oliver took great care of us. Top-shelf service provided by him, always looking to keep us happy, and that he accomplished. We sat at the outdoor front terrace. I look forward to coming back.

Stopped in to Lennie's on a Saturday afternoon and had a great meal! We were seated right away and served very quickly. They had several beers and ciders on tap to choose from. We each ordered a sandwich on the house bread and though I expected to have leftovers, I absolutely ate it all! The Original is a big tasty sandwich, just as you'd want a sandwich to be. Don't skip the house bread, I mean it! I did order my sandwich without Mayo though it did come on it still, but it was extremely good regardless. Will return next time I'm in Bloomington!

This place cares about their customers' experience and it shows. My party and I arrived having forgotten my ID in the car, and as my partner left to grab it the owner Mike came to our table. He very graciously explained the restaurant's policy, took our drink order, and delivered it shortly after my partner came back with my ID. Our server, Ella, was absolutely lovely - and so was Devin! The beer was delicious, food was good, and the ambiance was very friendly. But overall, this place SHINES when it comes to good service. We walked in after having a long day, and walked out with a smile! Five stars!

Following a show at the IU Auditorium, we were looking for a spot that was open a little later, was able to take care of a few under 21 types, and had a nice variety of light bites. Lennie's was able to take care of us and then some. I had their Roasted Garlic Focaccia, which was served up nice and hot on their wood-fired oven. It has a delicious blend of caramelized onions and rosemary and a perfectly roasted garlic bulb on the side. Our high school kid was really happy with their spaghetti and meatballs and my wife was taken with the seasonal roasted veggies - some of the best roasted bell peppers I've had in a long time. All told, we would add this to the rotation when head down to Bloomington to visit our college kid. Excellent customer service and delicious menu options.

Stopped in and talked to one of the managers, Cara, and the bartender. They were both very attentive which is something I have always noticed about Lennie's staff. I didn't buy food tonight, but I do want to give a shout out to the meatballs. Pair them with a glass of wine and you have a chefs kiss.

The Ahi Tuna salad is my go to. Especially love the plantains! Recommend the honey lime vinaigrette dressing to go with it!

Food was very good and favorable, the pricing and selection was spot on, and Devon was an absolute pleasure to have served us!

Cozy pub with reliably good food. The wood-fired pizza is excellent, but there are lots of other options (salad, soup, pasta, etc.), many crafted with local ingredients. If you have special dietary needs, the staff will make sure you're taken care of. The only reason I'm giving Lennie's four stars is because it's very popular and can get noisy to the point where it's hard to have a conversation.

Wow, stopped by late on a Friday night for a sandwich. The Bacon Turkey club is AMAZING!

I walked in after a hike nearby and was hungry. I ordered a full order of mushroom tortellini with a pint of their wheat ale. The food and service were five star, but the beer lacked flavor. I sat at the counter. There were no outlets to charge my phone with though, and my phone was in the single digits. Most brewpubs I have walked in on my travels have outlets under their counters. The ambiance was nice. All the servers were busting butt and managers were standing around on their phones. They really need to do that kind of stuff away from customers. There is outside dining on Kirkwood Avenue.

Always a favorite place to meet up with friends and family! A comfortable place to enjoy a meal and conversation. Food is delicious and many options are very shareable. Staff promptly seated us and were patient while we decided on our order. Order the torta, you won't be sorry!

We went to Lenny's for lunch last week and we're quite happy with our selection. The chicken soup was outstanding, and the salad was well prepared with fresh ingredients. We got the Canadian dessert special which was really yummy.

What's not to love about Lennie's? The food is delicious, so obvious that they use high quality ingredients. Servers/staff are well trained, always ensuring that the dining experience is the best possible. Great place to have a relaxing meal, a friendly place yet quiet enough for visiting. atmosphere

Great service here. Love the wood fired pizza and the cocktails. Definitely get the fries for the appetizer so everyone will be happy waiting for their food. Please bring back the charcuterie board!!!!

Took my family to Lennie's on move in day and it could not have been more perfect! We ordered a flat bread appetizer and were amazed when it came out with a whole bulb of perfectly spreadable roasted garlic! The bread, garlic, dipping sauce - all perfect. For our main dishes, there was something for everyone on the menu, the desert was delicious, and we ordered extra of the black bean soup 'to go' because it was that good! Our server was kind and attentive. We sat outside next to beautiful flower beds with well maintained flowers and even fresh basil growing! Such a wonderful afternoon in Bloomington! We cant get back to Lennie's fast enough! ps. giving a bonus star for the doggie treat and watering station.

My last trip to Lennies was wonderful. The bartender was friendly from the get go, nice casual conversation, with solid beer knowledge. I got the wings as a starter, and they were crispy and the sauce had the right amount of heat. I went with the classic JM's favorite for my entree, and it was great as always. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall just a very chill environment and high quality food. Great place to take your dog in the summertime too, staff is always very accommodating. I go there every time I'm in town.

Had the best lunch today. Food was amazing and the service was spot on. If you haven't had the turkey bacon melt you are missing out. The soft bread and melted cheese are enough but add in the pickled red onions along with turkey and bacon and it takes it to the next level. Their focaccia bread with fresh roasted garlic and marinara is also spot on. Don't miss out on an amazing lunch, dinner or snack!

I went here recently and the food (especially the fries) were good! It's a little pricey but the service was excellent. My server Arianna was kind and enthusiastic, and our food was delivered within a timely manner. I would hope the service in the future meets the same standard. Overall good experience and I would consider going again.

Yesterday's lunch consisted of a cup of chili and a side salad from Lennie's ! When we went in, we were sat immediately and had our drink orders taken. The waitress was super friendly and had an absolutely killer vibe ! When I got my lemonade, it was so crisp and delicious. Definitely recommend ! The salad was super fresh and crisp. I had an Italian dressing with blue cheese crumbles. The onions were marinated to perfection, which gave them a really pretty pink/red color. I would have described the chili as being more of a stew or goulash. It was thick and actually had a kick of spice every bite or so. The tomatoes were cooked in it perfectly. As a chili, I wouldn't rate it very high on my list. But as a soup, it was really, really good ! My partner had a flatbread and it was cooked very well. You could smell and taste the char from the pizza oven. It had a lot of flavor and was definitely enough food for a lunch sized entree. The atmosphere was also fun ! The walls were painted in a very whimsical way. While we were there, they were plying some absolutely bumping club music. You can also see the giant dome pizza oven, which is pretty neat. Definitely recommend paying them a visit !

Lennie's was a regular place to visit when I was in school. That was many years and while the location has changed the delicious Stromboli's and sandwiches never disappoint. While I don't drink beer my husband loves the choices and I will always take a glass of wine. Service is always great.

Nice place to meet old friends. Good beer selection and a varied menu. I had their classic sandwich. The meat was dry but still good. My friend had a Stromboli, which he enjoyed. The service is quick and very helpful with the busy menus.

So they moved. Lol. My friend and I were very confused when we came upon this location. They were doing a busy lunch crowd so we were offered seats at the bar. We were so hungry so it was hard to decide what to eat. I chose the 1/2 chicken quesadilla and basket of fries, which comes with two choices of dipping sauces. I went with ketchup and chipotle Mayo, which was great when the fries were dunked in both! Our bartender was very friendly and when asked about the location advised they moved three years ago! We don't get to Bloomington very often! The food was great! Fries were fresh and perfectly cooked! The wood fire oven was beautiful and gave off some nice warmth too!

Lennie's is my go to spot in Bloomington. I love the history of this place and the restaurant is completely green! The have beer from Bloomington brewing company, a lovely patio, and two stories. On busy days it's best to sit at the bar, but their soup specials are to die for and their pasta is delicious. All the staff are extremely friendly making this spot a little piece of home for anyone who walks through the doors. Thank you, lennie's!

We had around 60 people in are group and loved our experience at Lennies overall! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. We continually had servers refilling are drinks and snacks and couldn't have had a better experience.

We had lunch here on a Saturday, and were able to walk in without a reservation around 1:30, but it looked like the big brunch/lunch rush had just cleared out so a reservation is probably not a bad idea if you're coming earlier. I had the Irani iced tea, and it was excellent! Iced tea is so hit or miss, particularly in the winter, but this was definitely freshly brewed real tea. I started with a cup of the Voodoo chili which is labeled "spicier than most". It was not at all spicy, but did have really good flavor! I then had the wild beet spinach salad which was very good. At first I thought the beets were missing, but a nice portion of diced beets was hiding under the onions. The goat cheese and glazed pecans were plentiful and good. I opted for the olive oil and balsamic dressing which came in separate bottles. I do this at home for dressing so this worked for me along with the salt and pepper on the table, but just mentioning it as a heads up for anyone who doesn't want a DIY dressing. Service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed. The tables near the door do get a blast of cold air every time the door is opened, so I'd recommend trying to get a table closer to the back if possible during cold weather.

I came here with my husband for my birthday dinner. It was a great treat! I got the house white wine which the waitress recommended when I asked for a sweet white. It was a good recommendation- I enjoyed it. My husband got the cardamom cream soda. Interesting! It was zingy almost like a ginger ale or ginger beer. For my entree I got the turkey and bacon melt and my husband got the pesto penne. Both were really good and we were really full afterwards! I also like the interior design of lennies- it has an old school warm and cozy feeling.
