Ive stayed at all the hostels in Beijing and this hostel is the best one. its right in the walking street so many eats and right beside forbidden city. so the location is primo. they have a bar with drinks you can buy which is awesome. the hotel staff was always nice and friendly i never had any issues. its a great mixed crown and the chinese locals are very helpful if you need anything. unfortunately i think hostels arent able to run in beijing anymore because of covid because this was a gem. great place where i made life long friends. they also have food available on site it was a bit pricy so i didnt order it there is dumplings for 2-3 dollars outside the hostel . i hope it opens again!

I went in December of 2019, so I can't speak for how things are now with the pandemic. ||||It was a great hostel. The staff was very kind and friendly and they have tours organized for a great price as well. The "Great Wall" tour was absolutely fantastic. Met some great people there and afterwards spent the rest of my time in Beijing with them. The bathrooms are shared and their toilets clog (Don't throw toilet paper in the toilet, there are signs saying not to do it, but people do. This is a common thing in China that Westerners don't understand. Their sewage isn't designed to handle it.) and when they do clog, they overflow. Staff was quick to fix it every time it happened. And it happened a lot. ||||The hostel has a bar/diner and it serves some great food and drinks. Outside there are a bunch of other restraints and street vendors and the location of the hostel is a 5 minute walk to Tiananmen Square. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It is budget friendly, so you won't be getting a king mattress, but you do get an outlet and some privacy sheets for your bed. I met some fantastic people and I recommend you stay here if you want to be close to all the main attractions.

If you are travelling and don’t know Beijing very well I would recommend staying here as it is a great homebase for tourists who don’t need anything fancy. Staff all speak excellent English and are very helpful. Rooms are clean, the space is quiet, and the location is perfect for sightseeing and food. ||They offer Great Wall tours to a part of the wall that is a lot more remote than most tour groups do that is reasonably priced and a unique experience. The bar in the evenings has an interesting selection of local brews.

The hostel is cheap but even though not a great place to stay in winter. It’s not very clean, the toilets disgusting and the showers without hot water and any water pressure. Beds are quite uncomfy - but that’s a thing in China. The coffee and breakfast is quite good and reasonable. In general the staff was not nice at all apart from the lovely guy who is serving in the morning. Not the place to be but cheap - that’s what it is.

I’ve just checked out of Leo Hostel in Beijing. I stayed in an 8 person dorm for 5 nights for 340 RMB. For the price I’d say it’s good. In the hostel there is a restaurant and bar that plays jazz blues and rock music in the evenings and sells drinks for about 20 RMB a beer. The room was okay, although my top bunk was quite unstable and would rock. Additionally the heating was kept very high. Apart from this the service was good and it was easy to communicate any difficulties I had during the stay. It’s located just next to Tian’namen square so it’s easy to visit local sights. If you’re looking to travel on a budget I’d recommend this hostel.

Room was spacious, bed was a little flat - location is good near the main stuff. |When I arrived I had a horrible night flight so did not get much sleep and they would not let me check in sooner than 2pm so I had a nap in the lounge area. ||Overall it was okay - nothing special but was easy to use trains to go to and from airport and the tour for the GWoC I went to the Mutianyu section as wanted to do the slide down the wall. It is the main part so it’s more busier but it’s amazing and the slide defo made my trip in China!

A big hostel to meet friends, if you are travelling solo. The social area/ bar was a bit dark, but plenty of cafes in the hood. I would recommend the Starbucks Reserve behind the Manchester United souvenir shop. ||Good selection of local and cheap restaurants in the allies behind Mc Donald's, took some time to find. ||The bar doesn't open all the time, recommend you to visit the bar at 365 hostels right opposite to Leo, super good vibe over there. ||In short, it is a great hostel to stay for backpackers, would probably come back again.

The staff was not super helpful, the place was not super clean. But over all it was good enough. The common room had lots of good seats and the food (which was slow) was actually pretty good. Beds were clean and each bed had a plug. Location was great as there was tons to walk to and the metro was close by. Would totally stay here again but would not rave about it.
