Google
Best sushi spot in the area!! Rolls are delicious and come with 8-10 pieces. The owner is lovely and accommodating. Our go to spot! Love the dynamic blue crab roll, tuna love and crazy salmon!

Beautiful and consistent food! The staff are the most welcoming people and they deserve the best. Anybody in the Waldwick area needs to go here!

We ate here today (party of 8) and we were not disappointed! Food was delicious and the service was fantastic!

I give 5 stars to the food, taste, service, cleanliness, professionalism and atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are big. We all (both adults and kids) felt very satisfied as everything exceeded our expectations. We plan to go more often. Highly recommended restaurant.

Google
Fantastic food and friendly service. We started with the fresh salad and seaweed salad. The dressing on the fresh salad was homemade and had a great fresh ginger component. We ordered the crab and dynamite roll and they were both the best that the four of us ever had. I can't say enough nice things about the owner. Her warm welcome and passion about making delicious food makes this place a must visit and return again and again.

Had dinner here tonight... It's a small place, very clean, well presented, and has excellent sushi! Impressed by the chef's creativity with the Sushi Donut and the Crazy Salmon Roll. The Sushi Ice Cream was excellent as well (See posted pics). Great to dine in, and for take out. Highly recommend you check them out!

We were in the area and decided to give this place a shot. The lady at the front was very hospitable. She recommended I try the fried pork dumplings and I’m so happy I did. Really great food and service. I also recommend the crunchy tempura roll

Yelp
Simply the most reasonable delicious sushi in the area! The dining room is not much to look at , but the good makes up for it. It is family owned and operated and my first choice when thinking of sushi. Highly recommend the dynamite roll

Yelp
Leo sushi really surprised me. It's located in a small shopping plaza in Waldwick. We stopped by on a Saturday for lunch, and it was early enough that we were the only people there. They did seem to have a constant flow of pick ups and deliveries. We started out with a green tea, which came in a cute pot with a tea light under it to keep it warm. For our rolls I did a Dynamite roll and a cucumber roll and my mom did a rainbow roll. They were probably one of the best rolls that I have ever had. We will definitely return to try more rolls, they had a lot of interesting combinations.

Yelp
Oh man! I am so so happy I found Leo Sushi and Asian Cuisine. I was looking for a dinner spot one night after work and I was craving sushi. As per usual, Yelp delivers with an awesome recommendation of Leo Sushi. Like others have stated, it definitely seems like a hidden gem as it is tucked away in a strip mall right next to a brewery. My friend and I walked in for an early dinner on Thursday evening. The restaurant is on the smaller side with minimal decor. We were greeted right away and sat at one of the tables. I ordered the kani salad to start and my friend ordered the tuna poke salad. Both of our appetizers were delicious! And with that first bite we knew we were in for a treat! For dinner I ordered the Fish Lover's Roll and a vegetarian roll. My friend ordered the dragon roll. OMG. SO so delicious. The fish was so fresh. The rolls were overflowing with all the fixings. It was so good. I also loved the mango added to my Fish Lover's roll, it added just that extra bit of flavor to the fish that was perfect! We decided to try the Thai Donut for dessert not really knowing what to expect. Let me tell you, ORDER THE THAI DONUT! It was like eating a zeppole, but even lighter and fluffier. And the dipping sauce that came with it? Condensed milk? Yes please! My friend and I had such a lovely dinner at Leo Sushi and we will certainly return. The service was so friendly and attentive. The owner even stopped by our table to check to make sure everything was to our liking. Such a great spot!

Yelp
Good sushi. Clean. Quick service. Nice seating area. It was a nice meal. But the menu just didn't do it for me. But at the end of the day, I'm happy with a plain slice of salmon sashimi, which they did very well. I don't live very close, so this was a nice 1 time experience.

Yelp
First time visit here and they won us over. Food was excellent. Tasted great. Nice sized portions. Combo boxes come with miso soup which was the best I've had. Friendly staff and owner came out to meet and asked how everything was. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We LOVE this place! The food is fresh, light and delicious! Everything is great! Don't miss the spicy fried rice... and the dynamite roll !!!! Don't be put off if you come in and the restaurant is quiet... they do a tremendous take out business! Go in and enjoy!!!

Yelp
I thought this was a great value and I'm glad we found this place as it was an unintentional find right next to a new brewery. A full and satisfying selection of appys and sushi choices for four was less than $100 and very good. I would easily come back and by the way, what we had was to go. I'm not going to list every item we had (yet) so I'd say take this sushi place and go fishing;) for yourself. Like. They actually walked the food right next door while at the brewery. That was perfect. Here ya go. Poke Salad × 1 Shumai × 1 Oyster Tempura × 1 Baby Octopus Tempura × 1 Crunchy Tuna × 1 SR4.Spicy Roll × 1 Salmon Fish Lover Roll × 1 Black Dragon Roll × 1

Yelp
Long overdue review, but came here for my birthday and was not disappointed! The quality of sushi and price point make this place a knock out of the park. We tried the sushi donut, a bunch of special and handrolls. We were seated next to another couple and they were also raving about the food and price for this area. They had also noticed that this place had 5 stars with many reviews on Yelp which drove them to try it out that night, too. The family here is SUPER nice and while the food might take awhile, you know it's fresh, quality and affordable! Support your local businesses!

Yelp
Holy Mackerel. As I sit here, stuffed as can be, I wish I would be able to fit another roll in my belly. As good as Leo's sushi tastes, I shouldn't. I happened to stumble upon this place during a well needed lunch break from work, and I'm glad I did. This is the second time that I have dined here this week. I learned that Leo is new to the Waldwick area, coming from New Milford. They've only been in Waldwick for 2 months. The moment you walk in, you are served with a glass (about a quart) container of cold water with lemon. I was served miso soup. The miso is present within the soup with plenty of tofu and seaweed and the flavor is good. Today I ordered a dynamite roll with crab, and a special spicy salmon crunchy roll. Both were fresh and delicious. Some of their rolls on the menu come with two rolls. On the lunch special menu, it was 15 dollars for two specialty rolls! So affordable! I want to mention that their crab rolls are served with blue crab, and not imitation. It makes a word of difference. Also, their ginger is super fresh too. The service is always pleasant and prompt. Everyone is very friendly here. Ill be back when I can!

Yelp
Where do I begin. I placed a to-go order in person Sunday night. My usual Asian take-out restaurant was closed because of the holiday weekend, so I decided to give this place a try. Big Mistake. I knew it should have just exited and left after attempting to place the order with the young male behind the counter. I kept it easy, chicken udon bowl and I had two choices, regular or spicy. Being the daring adventurous eater I am, I opted for spicy, I can handle the heat. The young man asked for my phone number to associate it with my order, which I found to be strange, and I politely said, I will be waiting for the food. He said he could not place the order without a phone number. I once again said I did not feel comfortable giving him my number, so we were at a standstill. I ended up just making up a number using the local area code. He smiled looking like he won the war. Little did he know, the number was not mine. After waiting 20 minutes for my dish, I asked if he could give me an update on how long it will be. He pointed to the table for take outs and said it was ready. It was there for 10 minutes. When I asked why he did not alert me, he said he didn't think he had to. I grabbed my lukewarm udon noodles and went home. The meal itself cost 13 dollars and was trash. There was a total of 3 3-inch-long pieces of chicken in bowl. There were tons of noodles and limited veggies. Worst yet, it was not hot or spicy, it was vinegar forward. I will not be back. In a world where we have different cuisines on every street corner, I am amazed that this place is still in business.

Yelp
Wowow! What a great hidden gem. Sushi was flavorful, fresh, and high quality. Fried dumplings are in a batter (not traditional) but very tasty. Ive eaten more sushi from various asian restaurants all over north jersey (more than i care to admit) and this is probably one of my favorites! The owners are so friendly and helpful. The plates are beautiful and so delicious. Dont skip on the donut desert! Follow them on social media for updates about the restaurant but I cant wait to come back!!

Yelp
The food was amazing and high quality. We ordered the chicken gyoza, fish lovers roll, rainbow roll, and the beef fried noodle. Everything was so good and the staff were so nice. Would absolutely recommend

Ye L.

Yelp
Black dragon roll, fried pork dumplings, and vege roll were sooooo good. Eel avocado roll and Kani salad were awesome, too. It's far to go get this sushi all the way from Fair Lawn, but it's worth it every bite of it.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Amazing sushi place. The owners are so lovely and this is hands down our go-to spot. Sushi is good. Noodles are good. Hot dishes are delicious. We love Leo's.
google avatar

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
Good choices on the menu, including options for vegetarians. We ordered lunch whilst at Gearblock brewing next door. Service was great - quick and courteous. Food was ready after 15 mins and tasty. We started with steamed gyoza, (good, and next time we'll try the fried version to compare), then the black dragon roll and a vegetable crunchy roll. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Not just the food was awesome, the owner, chefs and staffs were so friendly and on the top of their game. Attentive, caring and literally read customers mind to provide with top service. Dumplings, wings, Kani salad, and spring rolls were so tasty and looks differently great compared to others. Very creative on both taste and the look. All special rolls are wonderful in taste and price were below fair. My whole family 6 of us enjoyed the dinner meals for little above $100. We will be there again and again I promise.

Yelp
What a phenomenal sushi place! Everything we had was fantastic and my son said it was his new favorite. We had one of the specialty "sushi dogs" which was really creative. The wonton soup used fried wontons, which I've never seen before, but was delicious. We got a couple rolls and nigiri as well as some gyoza as well which was perfect - not too doughy - too! The prices were totally reasonable and the owners were super friendly. Highly recommend!

Gabriella C.

Yelp
I love this place it has the best Asian cuisine it's my favorite place to go to The owners are very friendly

Yelp
I walked in and the aesthetic is great. Staff/owner was very welcoming. Been wanting to try this place since a friend recommended. I was absolutely blown away by the food. Easily some of, if not the, best sushi I've had in a long time. Presentation was on point, and the taste was even better. I think I will have to make this my regular spot for now on. It's worth the 20 minute drive! Will be back. Highly recommend anything on the menu!

Karen L.

Yelp
Food and Service are amazing! Very unique flavor to their cuisine-my husband and I love this little place. Ambiance is casual and good for couples or families. Highly recommend!!

Dean D.

Yelp
This place has the best sushi I have had. The people are very warm, but the effort they put into making the food they serve makes you want to go back. Tonight we tried the dynamite roll, tuna lovers roll, fish lovers roll, crunchy eel and rainbow roll. All of them were very tastefully made. This place deserves your support!
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
Great tasting food! Had crazy salmon roll, spring roll, fried rice. Didn't love the fried dumplings as they had a batter but still were tasty just not my style.

Bryan A.

Yelp
Super friend staff and really good/fresh sushi. This is my third time ordering from them. Showed up a little early on my pickup and was given a free seared tuna and water for while a wait. Shows that they're a good hearted local business. Definitely worth a try, you'll be back!

Yelp
Awesome and fast service. The food is great as well. One of of regular spots. Definitely recommend for take out or dine in.

Ariana A.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years as this is my favorite sushi place, they are truly a hidden gem. The service is great, everyone is extremely friendly and attentive here. My favorite go to dishes are the seaweed salad with added crabmeat, the crunchy shrimp tempura roll and the general Tso chicken. You can taste the quality of the ingredients compared to other restaurants. I would highly recommend 10/10 food and experience every time.

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit to this lovely family-owned sushi restaurant for lunch today. The owners are so friendly, and we saw a few locals/regulars come in during our meal and have warm chats with the owners - I always appreciate these small restaurants that are connected with their community. The sushi here is affordably priced ($6.50 for a salmon/eel/whatever avocado roll), and if you don't need avocado - they have these seaweed outside rolls that are $4 or less! The complimentary cucumber lemon water was also a delightful refreshment during our meal. Can't wait to visit again. It's also located next door to the Dairy Queen in case you need that whopper blizzard (which I know you do).

Yelp
It was my first time here, but won't be my last. Went here late around 9:30 with a friend to get some food. We were their last customers, and our server was very helpful and suggested some hot items which weren't listed on the menu. I'm glad I went with the recommendation, it was very tasty and I enjoyed it. Will be back again soon! Great service!
google avatar

Yelp
Food looks so yummy! Would definitely recommend coming here to eat for some quality sushi.

Yelp
Wonderful sushi, great owners husband wife, made us feel at home, it will now be our regular sushi restaurant!!! Just go!!

Yelp
New location is nice, cozy and so many choice of good food. You should try Leo baked roll special sushi.

Susan F.

Yelp
Visited Leo Sushi at their new location. SO happy they're back. They did a beautiful job with the new restaurant and the food is tasting better than ever. Prices have gone up a little, but they're still highly comparable to sushi prices elsewhere. A brewing company is also opening up next door so I hope that brings them plenty of traffic.

Yelp
Gem of a place with nice combos and affordable pricing. I had no idea I was driving by this place for years, from now on I will def stop for a bite! The poke salad is perfect and combines two of my fav things (seaweed salad and tuna poke.) The Leo rolls don't have rice and are wrapped in rice paper with lettuce - love this healthy option and got it with eel. I also had the fisherman bowl, which is a stellar combo of the best sashimi and roe. This is now my go-to for take out sushi. If it's a small group I would definitely eat there as well. If you couldn't tell, I'm lovin Leo's.

Michael U.

Yelp
Have ordered take-out twice while enjoying Gearblock Brewery next door. Staff is very friendly. Menu is weighted toward sushi but other dishes are available. Have tried a selection of appetizers, rolls and noodle dishes - - - all were tasty, super fresh and visually appealing. The fried food is very light, and not greasy. Anything hot (temp) was piping hot when opened. When I mentioned we were next door, they ensured we had paper plates, napkins, cutlery and chopsticks. A very good option and we'll certainly be back.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I'm definitely not a sushi connoisseur, but it is some of the best sushi I have had. What makes it so good also is the creativity put into it. The place is located in a tiny strip mall in the south end of New Milford by the post office. Be careful driving in that lot though because it's loaded with potholes. The place is small also with about 4 seats at the sushi bar and maybe 10 tables in the restaurant. It's super clean the beautiful inside though. I always go for lunch so I never spend more than $10, but what I've had has been outstanding! Kimchi Tofu Soup ($2): simple yet so tasty! I order this almost every time I go. Not spicy though. I don't think they add any spice besides the already seasoned kimchi. It literally just has broth, kimchi, and little cubes of tofu in it. Miso Soup ($1.50): traditional and delicious as expected. No complaints. Wonton Soup ($2): this is the best Wonton Soup I've ever had! The wonton wrappers are super thin and the broth is amazing. Garlicky goodness! Sweet Potato Roll (seaweed outside) ($2): another thing I have to get almost every single time. I love these because you get the sweet from the potato, the salty from the soy sauce and seaweed, then the spice from the wasabi. Divine! California Roll ($4): standard California roll. Delicious. Shrimp Tempura Crunchy Roll ($7): had this my last visit and it's amazing! Shrimp Tempura and cucumbers wrapped in seaweed with the rice on the outside, drizzled with spicy mayo, then topped with fizzled crunchy onions and tempura cruchies! I can't wait to try the other crunchy rolls! Amazing! Bamboo Roll with Tuna ($7): tuna (can get eel or salmon) with cucumber, wrapped in seaweed, rice outside, topped with avocado. So fresh and yummy! Japanese Rice bowl with Vegetable Tempura, Egg, and onions ($7): delicious as well! Personally I needed more so I ordered the Kimchi Tofu Soup with it, but I'm a pig. Everything was cooked perfectly though. Ask for the spicy dumpling sauce to drizzle on it. Makes it even better! As you can see, the prices are outstanding! You can get a lot for $10 at lunch. Please check this place out and support them. Family owned. Nin, the wife is SUPER sweet too. The only real negative is that they don't deliver. Maybe they'll start with Uber Eats though. Also, even though not a huge negative, they get busy. Really busy weekend nights. Always call in your orders (even at lunch). Great food takes time to make! They will call you when it's ready. Usually I order from my office in Hackensack and she quotes 10-15 minutes. I always get the call as I'm parking.

Kim A.

Yelp
Love this place! So glad they reopened. I was soo sad when they closed the nm location but excited when I heard they were making their return. Food was just as good as I remembered and owners are always so friendly. Best sushi around!

Yelp
A small sushi shop that gives you much more than it looks. The interior is tastefully decorated with a cute oriental feel, and the water tastes amazing since they put cucumber and lemon in. Moreover, the food is reasonably priced, and extremely delicious. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Their sushi is fresh, and their other dishes are always unbelievably tasty. To top it all off, the staff is extremely kind. If it's slow they even try to talk and get to know you. They are attentive and sincere in their service and are honestly the best part of the restaurant. I definitely recommend just stopping by or getting takeout whenever you get a sushi craving.

Yelp
Best place for sushi . They make it fresh and all the sushi were of great taste . Their fried rice is perfectly spicy and fried ice cream is great . Best part is the price . Very very reasonable

Yelp
Not the best experience. My ramen soup was made with spaghetti, the tuna rolls were not fresh. Very unsatisfied. See pictures attached.

Yelp
This review is for Take-Out. Placed an order at 6:15pm for about 10 various sushi rolls and was told it would be ready around 45-50 minutes and they would give me a call (assuming the call was in case it was ready sooner than expected). Arrived at 7:20pm and was told it was still not ready and would be given a call. Not knowing what to do, we went to burn some time at a supermarket. We tried to call to see if it's ready but there was no pick up. So we head back to the restaurant at 8:10pm and ask about our order and it still wasn't started. The restaurant was apologetic however just in my opinion, seemed too willing to just accept the fact that the order should be cancelled as we couldn't help but feel like our order was a burden to them. This is just a warning for all who are considering take out during weekend dinner hours. After 2 hours of waiting we had no inkling we were not going to be getting our order and were left figuring out what to do for dinner. Pretty rough experience tbh and lost a customer cause of this experience. Now time to find dinner....

Yelp
I went here because I noticed it had 4.5 stars, and after eating the food I understood why. Sushi was perfect, nice portions, and service was great! Thanks for a great meal.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped in with my friend on a Friday night around 9 and it was empty. The owner and waitress was super sweet and nice. She helped us decide what to get on the menu.
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Everything here is so fresh. You can tell they really care about the food. I usually order sushi here. The only thing that's (weirdly) not their forte is the california roll. Which is fine for me, I just don't order it. There are plenty of awesome fresh real-raw-fish sushi to be had!
google avatar

Kat C.

Yelp
Great sushi! Good experience! Everyone was nice and friendly! Definitely coming back here again!
google avatar

Vivian L.

Yelp
Five people in our party, and everyone was happy!! (Even the one allergic to rice, and the one who doesn't like fish!!) We ordered about 15 different items altogether and they were all beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. Prices were incredibly reasonable and the customer service was the cherry on top!! A new favorite spot. Hours can fluctuate (according to the owner), so if you are making a special trip, consider calling first to verify that the deliciousness is awaiting you!

Yelp
Best family owned sushi business! My husband and I love sushi! And like always, we believed a review is well deserved for an extraordinary + outstanding dining experience. 1. Ample off street parking space. 2. We were greeted by two restaurant staffs (one ended up being the owner). Very nice and welcoming people. 3. We love all the original sushi roll options on top of the classics. I highly recommend ordering from the 'special rolls' section on the menu, so creative and delicious! My favorite rolls from this visit is their soft shell crab roll with soy wrap and bamboo roll (which is like an eel roll with perfectly sliced avocado resembling bamboo stalks.) and the fried shrimp gozas are so flavorful, dipping sauce not necessary. 4. They have a tv screen with music videos If you appreciate entertainment during your dining experience or in between conversations. 5. Husband and wife are the owners and they kindly checked in with us mid way on how the food was and offered additional recommendations that we would try on your next visit. It's very hard to come by small family owned businesses these days that treats all their customers like friends. We can't wait for our next visit! Love this place and highly recommend!!!

Yelp
10/10..great service and great food for a reasonable price. Presentation of the food was also impressive. Will be back.

Yelp
The folks in the New Milford/Dumont/Teaneck area are blessed to have this place so close. This is quite possibly the best Sushi in all of Northern, NJ. My family and I ordered 3 times takeout and just today I dined there for the first time. The food is fantastic - the Sushi selections are the "classics" plus a bunch of original creations. I love the Crazy Salmon and Tuna rolls! If you order Sushi takeout, don't be impatient -this stuff takes time to prepare, it is an art form! Same goes for "dine-in." I should add that during my first ever dine in, we were served by a very pleasant and efficient young lady - kudos! Why not 5 stars? For some odd reason, this place closes on random days without warning -odd. Small complaint though - this place is top notch!

Eric M.

Yelp
Such great food. My favorite sushi and Asian food in the area. Incredibly nice people there as well.
