León Cathedral

León Cathedral is truly breathtaking and absolutely worth a stop when visiting the city. The moment you step inside, the sheer scale, light, and the extraordinary stained glass create an almost magical atmosphere. It’s one of those places that makes you pause and just take it all in. A masterpiece of Gothic architecture and easily one of the most beautiful cathedrals we’ve seen on our travels through Spain. Make sure you download the audio guide. You will miss so much if you don’t.

I stayed down the road from there, such a wonderful sight to see every day. The external walks that leads to the Cathedral are very interesting to navigate and see..

Fabulous church inside and out. Stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings are amazing. Tickets are not cheap but do not mind paying as it goes to the upkeep of this amazing cathedral. Loved that we take photos of the inside to keep our memories fresh of the glorious interior. No restrooms available.

Lovely Cathedral. Worth every euro of admission. Beautiful inside considering how monumental it is outside as the center of a magical city called Leon

Stunning. An incredible cathedral, very easy to just get lost in the beauty and grandeur of it all when touring the interior. You can get that same sense of awe and wonder on the outside as well, but inside is truly majestic. Do not miss this when you are anywhere near Leon.

Wow, wow, wow. The stained glass and scale is striking. I'm not sure we could build this now. There is no reduced entrance for pilgrims, which is unusual, but the visit worth the €7. The audio-tour was cool as well. Just the right amount of detail and explanation of points of interest for my sore feet.

Sunning! 8 euros is a great amount to see this masterpiece of architecture.

This is my favourite out of all the cathedrals i have visited thus far, and mind you, I have even been to Vatican City! Whoever built this cathedral has immensely great taste! Oh me oh my! I took a lot more pictures, and didn't put them up as there seems to be enough reviews, but truly, if you are going to spend money to see something in the Camino, this one is worth the 9 euros you will spend! It simply took my breath away! Try and catch it in the morning or evening light!

An incredible got his cathedral built on King Ordonos' II grounds to pay homage to his defeat of the Moors. Be sure to take the audio tour and learn more about the stained glass windows and chapels. Truly a marvel! Peregrinos, Be sure to get your credential stamped at the cloister next to the cathedral.

This cathedral is the "high priest" of all the hundreds of cathedrals I saw on my pilgrimage through Spain. My mouth just dropped open at the majestic grandeur of this monument. If you just want to visit and see a few cathedrals in Spain, this one is not to be missed. It is blocks long and tall...one can see the spires from a long distance, giving a clue about what you are going to see. It is in a city that is very lively and parties a lot. You can spend a day studying and being awestruck by every turn. It is a nice to walk around it which will take a little time because of the immensity of this church. I happened to see a few weddings (which take place in one of the wings of the cathedral which most likely to happen on most Saturdays. It is one of the worlds wonders in my eyes.
