Leonardo Boutique Hotel Maastricht City Center

The hotel location is perfect, next to the station and the breakfast was excellent, but there are things that I have to say, first there was a "clean" towel with some rests of lipstick in the bathroom, I guess because the laundry temperature was not very high... the noise at 5:45h on Friday morning in the street from a lorry carrying things (laundry bags, food... whatever..) , the shower was not working the hot water only was only little warm... if you don´t ask for cleaning services they skip it, which for a 4 star hotel is ridiculous.and finally I paid the breakfast for the two days during my check-in and they asked me to pay it again in the check-out, the receipt of the card was not provided the first day ,I asked but the men told me that he will provide it to me with the invoice. At the end they did not charge again the breakfast but this kind of things are not pleasant. To be honest, I expected more for a 4 star hotel.

The breakfast was excellent, delicate choices, not overflowing in quantity. The rooms were tidy and quiet, and in particular the personnel was forthcoming and helpful at all times. I would though suggest to get rid of the open-bathroom room.

Perfect, I couldn't wish for more. Very friendly staff, a top notch room and great service. We needed a second hair dryer so we went to the reception even late in the night and staff helped us immediately. When we checked out, staff offered to hold onto our luggage so we could enjoy another day in Maastricht - we didn't even have to ask! They really go the extra mile to make sure you have the most comfortable accommodation and can truly enjoy your holiday. Reasonable prices. I paid a little extra for a better room and I think it was worth it. I could not wish for more. And of course it is a perfect location being a stone's throw from the train station, especially if you plan to travel by train.

Ok but not good. Slow staff. Leaking door (sound and Light), sensor in bahtroom is annoying at night, rather have a normal switch. And with 1.95m I did not fit under the shower. 1.90 at most

If you want an extra special stay, speak to Sophie at reception – she’s a breath of fresh air, endlessly helpful, and always positive. The rooms are spacious, beds super comfy, and there was even a radio in the WC (nostalgic Japanese vibes!). Did I already mention how nice Sophie from the reception desk is?

Lovely hotel, staff were amazing and extremely helpful. The room was spacious and spotless, nice touch with the coffee machine, bottled watter and a fridge. We stayed Sunday to Friday and room was cleaned on the 3rd day. We did have an issue with our safe, 5 minutes after speaking to someone and the maintenance guy was in and fixed it. Loads of places round about to eat too. We will return.

Very plesant stay from first contact with a nice lady in the desk until great breakfast and small gift at the check-out. Rooms were very clean, spacy and everything was perfect. We will come to this hotel site again for sure. Thank you!

16/04/25 20.30 (approximate time) ||This is first time to stay at your hotel but it was surprise of your services staff. ||"The staff here are very rude and lack any service mind".||I asked if Could I see the wines in the cabinet?  and the first, handsome staff member said I could so I opened it, and then one overweight staff walked over to me very quickly and said very loudlyyyy that I couldn't, that it was personal!! (just known after he is manager) ||After this incident, I have sent an email to report the incident. It turned out that the person who received the email was that same overweight manager. The manager came to my table with an unfriendly expression and asked if we were the ones who sent the email. I said yes!||Manager tried to explain about not being allowed to open the cabinet. I told him that I had asked a staff member earlier and were told that I could open it. The manager just said that we couldn't. In short, he showed absolutely no service mind. ||He looked like he was there to cause trouble, and it felt like racial discrimination against Asians. It made me feel that if a Dutch person had opened it, he wouldn't have acted with such contempt. ||Even the manager at this 4-star hotel is so unfriendly and lacks any service mind. He had no manners and showed absolutely no sense of hotel service. ||I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. ||

This year for The European Fine Art Fair, we selected Designhotel Upon check-in, we were advised there was a free TEFAF city-shuttle departing every 30 min, starting at 10:30am and hotel parking was located at the garage at the train station - which was a couple of blocks away. 14€ / day However the following morning as we inquired after the shuttle, the girl at the desk acted like she did not know what we were talking about and was adamant there was no shuttle, only a paid-BMW service - turned out that the hotel itself was not participating in the TEFAF free shuttle but one of the hotels down the block down was participating .....it would have been nice if you had directed us there instead of making us pay for transportation - needless to say we found the free shuttle to take us back, and walked the half-block Our room was directly beside the elevator so we heard hallway noises most of the night but luckily neighbors were relatively quiet. Soft, bouncy, beds that were fairly uncomfortable but given we were only there for 2 nights, it was no big deal. The heating was super strong & we ended up opening the windows. Water pressure was decent and aside from the shuttle mishap, it was an A-OK stay. We would ask for a room away from the elevator if considering a future stay but would check out other hotels first

Great hotel in a great area in the city of Maastricht. Clean an decent rooms, nice in-house restaurant, friendly staff, comfortable. Located in a hipster neighborhood with the famous 'Vrijthof' on walking distance. A good choice for a nice couple of days in this lovely city.

Nice room, nice bed, a bit strange but nice interior. The shower is only separated from the bed with a glass wall and the sink is in the entrance outside the bathroom. So I recommend if you share room with someone that you're comfortable with that person. Location is perfect with only approx. 150 m from the train station and then only short walks wherever you wanna go during your stay in Maastricht. Breakfast 15 € is a bit expensive for what you get but it's ok. We took it the first day before we knew the city and we're not sorry but not happy about it either. We would definately book this hotel again.
