Leonardo Boutique Huntingtower Perth, a Design Boutique Hotel Perth, United Kingdom

"This fine country house hotel rests in 6 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, only a few minutes' drive from Perth. There is free on-site car parking and free Wi-Fi. After exploring the castles and ruins of Perthshire, guests can enjoy a fine whisky in the homely, Scottish bar or dine at the Huntingtower's spacious award-winning restaurant. There is also an outside seating area for warmer months. Each bedroom is unique; some offer a modern feel while others have bright colours and a more traditional decor. All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom with free toiletries. The Hermitage, which is a 30-minute drive away, has wonderful, easy walks through woodland, leading to ancient caves and a stunning waterfall. Activities like kayaking, 4x4 off road driving and golfing are also available. Perth rail and bus stations are 3 miles from the hotel." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

A superb hotel just outside Perth, offering generously sized and exquisitely appointed rooms. Breakfast is nothing short of first-class, with an impressive array of high-quality dishes to suit every palate. The overall experience is both refined and welcoming, making it a destination we eagerly anticipate returning to on our next trip to Scotland.

Stayed here for one night on my way up further north. Staff very friendly and helpful. I also had a dog with me and was made to feel welcome. Room - Positive - Bed was comfy, nice view and quiet. Negative - The bathroom and shower were tiny. The milk was off and there was no toilet roll, however when I raised these with the staff they were promptly sorted. There are nice walks from the hotel and would definitely recommend.

My second visit here. the first was a business trip so I wanted to come for a leisure night with my husband. We were not disappointed. The room was lovely with a beautiful view over the magnificent beech tree in the front of the grounds. The grounds generally are beautiful. Evening meal was good - we are vegetarian and had stuffed peppers. It would have been nice to have more vegetarian choice. Staff at this hotel are really friendly and welcoming. We look forward to returning.

My experience during my stay was a pale comparison to the other glowing reviews so much so that I had to double check if I stayed in the correct hotel. You can see rotting wooden frames at the entrance, cracks in the false ceiling in the inner breakfast room and in danger of collasping, old furniture ( see photos), bedroom pillow on sofa at corridor which was left a day before it was taken away, no hot water whenever you need it unless you make a call to the receptionist who feels like she ( the grouchy specky old woman ) is doing you a favour by turning it on. One day she also didnt answer the phone and I had to go personally to see her at the desk not doing anything. The duvet and pillow on my side of the bed was smelly ( but my daughter’s side was ok) , dirt and dust on the window sill and no aircon unit in the room but lucky for the weather was cool in the night and early morning. Can’t imagine staying there in hot summer. Can’t understand too why a hotel is given 4 star when there is zero amenties only a bottle of soap in the bath which is to serve as body gel, shampoo and conditioner even though their website states there are amenities in the room. A check with another receptionist says that she ran out of shower cap and ALL their chain of Leonardo hotels do not provide toilet amenties. Something is clearly wrong with the person who trains and manage this hotel. Cleanliness at breakfast is not consistant. On day one, the male waiter used a sprayer ( hopefully a disinfectant )to clean the table. On the 2nd day it was a woman and she only used a dry towel to brush off the crumbs then set new plates and cutlery on the table with crumbs still visible. Tsk tsk. Dear readers, see for yourself the photos before booking.

I picked the hotel Leonardo specifically on my love for tudor architecture, and my stay exceeded any expectations I had. A clean, inviting, and elegant interior with outstanding staff! A BIG shout out and appreciation for Tracey. She has next level customer service, and you can really tell she cares. She made our stay perfection! All the serving staff we encountered at the bar and continental breakfast were attentive and exceptional as well. Beautiful grounds to walk around and ample seating for pure comfort. I highly recommend this hotel. I didn't get as many photos as I normally would, and I last minute snuck a picture of our room after we had used it. The room was clean when we arrived.

We were there with our dog and it was great to be allocated a large room.|Good sized grounds, with direct access to the riverside walk.|Great Hotel for those with dogs. |Food and staff were very good.|As mentioned by other reviewers the place is a bit tired, and could do with some TLC. |A small burn runs through the middle of the hotel grounds, and it was very disappointing to see that the invasive non native plant Himalayan Balsam, had been allowed to grow unchecked along the full length of the burn.

Situated in an isolated location in its own grounds and yet it's very near Perth. It's part of a small chain of hotels, mainly Europe based. It was quiet, has gardens and a large car park. We had a large, comfortable room with a large bathroom with a bath. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in the conservatory which was nice. The food selection and items were OK. Breakfast was very good and offered a few different items such as maple and bacon crepes, which we had.

Everything about the Leonardo Hotel met with our approval, the hotel itself was first class and they even gave us a room upgrade on arrival, which we struggled to believe. The food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. All of the staff at the hotel were great especially Skye (Reception) and Josh who served us with our breakfast. We wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again in the future and we will certainly recommend the Leonardo to friends and family.
