Overall Experience: My stay was extremely disappointing and not up to the standards I expected. I’ve been traveling regularly since 2019 and have never encountered such issues before. 1. Water Outage There was a complete water outage for an entire day. I was unable to perform basic hygiene activities. Despite calling reception, no action was taken for 45 minutes. I had to use my own water bottle to manage minimal hygiene needs. 2. Room Cleanliness Due to the water outage, my room and toilet became dirty. I requested cleaning at the reception. When I returned later, the room was still unclean and disorganized. I documented the condition with photos as evidence. 3. Breakfast Quality The breakfast was below expectations. Some items were served cold, as if prepared days earlier. This significantly affected my overall impression of the service. Conclusion: I feel that my money was wasted during this stay, especially due to the water outage and lack of responsive service. I hope this feedback helps improve your service quality for future guests.

Stay was average: welcome: so so, below average Breakfast: warm welcome, but missing yogurts and some food was split between 2 different locations. It was cold in the breakfast room Room: TV reception very bad for some channels Parking proposed by the reception in the neighbourhood is so expensive (27 Euros with discount for a night). What is the normal price ?

While the staff are incredibly helpful, the beds are comfortable and the room clean, the walls are paper thin. We could hear everything going on in other rooms, people were dragging furniture and stomping around, among other things. Ear plugs are mandatory for a decent night's sleep.

I arrived late at night and only stayed for one night, but I truly appreciated the kind and friendly service. The daytime staff were also very young, but they were always willing to help, even though my English isn't very good. Their attitude made me feel very comfortable. The facilities are a bit old, but I think this is a safe and reliable hotel where you can stay with peace of mind.

My stay here was fabulous! This hotel feels like home. It is convenient, located close to Utrecht Central Station. The staff is very friendly. There were snacks and treats available at the reception desk during my stay. My room was quiet and comfortable.

our stay at the leonardo in Utrecht was the worst we've had in your chain (ref: Munich & Karlsruhe). first of all, it was impossible to find the hotel when arriving by car. the sign was invisible; there were no signs to guide you. at the entrance, there was a flight of steps making it difficult for our mother to get to reception. the reception was dilapidated and not very friendly. some of the receptionists were very casual. a tiny lift led to the basement. the corridor floor was completely warped, the walls very sad. more steps and a heavy door to get to our rooms! furniture from another age, armchair with broken legs, no furniture to put your suitcase on. very average ceiling height. French window broken and cobbled together as a repair. Terrace room, abandoned, plantations burnt, dust, facade degraded. shower tray with old curtain and level too low causing water everywhere. no tissue box. at 133 € / night, unacceptable! I am counting on you to make a substantial commercial gesture.

Staff was great help with our parking concerns. Room itself was just fine, everything it had promised. The hallways were a little run down (smelly). All together a good stay.

Only the Location Is Good – everything else is disappointing The hotel’s central location is its only quality. The rest of the experience was deeply disappointing. Our room had no air conditioning, which was not mentioned before booking — unacceptable given the heat and the high price. There was also no running water in the morning, so we couldn’t even take a shower before checking out. The hotel itself is poorly designed: lots of stairs at the entrance, a confusing, maze-like layout, and elevators that barely works. If you have suitcases, be prepared to struggle — and don’t expect help from staff, who were unhelpful and unwilling to lift a finger. Despite informing them I had an extremely long flight ahead, they refused to offer any compensation or even a gesture of goodwill. This hotel is overpriced, uncomfortable, and lacks even basic hospitality. I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Yelp
Formerly the Best Western, now re-branded with seemingly smaller, hipper and more expensive rooms. With a great location, nice rooms, and nice bathrooms, this hotel is held from reaching it's full potential by an affliction common in the industry: price-gouging. We checked in early, as the hotel had 20 vacant rooms. Wifi is not free as advertized, but luckily I could pick up the signal from the lobby in my room. When I grabbed a cappuccino and croissant from the lobby, I was stopped by the staff, who informed me that the espresso machine was free, but for the (tiny little baby) croissant I would have to be charged the 18.50 Euro buffet price. To top it off, when I asked for a "late" checkout (2 PM instead of noon), I was told the charge would be 15 euros. We declined. Staff was super friendly, yet complete unwilling to budge on any of it all. (shrugs). Also, the bathroom door does not close, and my wife is listening to me as I am destroying it. (I am typing this from the toilet as the espresso was stroooong!). The experience was not negative, but the Hotel's refusal to venture even an inch beyond the call of duty makes this hotel's motto ("True Spirit of local Hospitality") kinda funny.

Yelp
While the location of this hotel is awesome... the hotel itself is quite awful. If television reception is important (the Netflix they boost about on their website was not working and the reception for other channels was terrible); if use of the safe is important (the safe did not work and although the young girl apologized several times but basically was not equipped to fix the safe and had no plan in place to remedy the situation); if a hair dryer is important (they have hair dryers on the wall in the bathroom... it did not work at all... called the front desk to ask if someone could fix it... his reply, no one is available and they have no spare hair dryers!); if being able to close your bathroom door and have privacy while using the toilet OR if a comfortable bed which does not sink in the middle is important OR if you want to sit in the lobby on a couch which is COMPLETELY broken and sunk in... this is not the hotel for you. I don't leave a lot of reviews but this TERRIBLE quality of hotel inspired me to help others. Do not stay here.
