Having heard about the pizza, we called in for lunch last weekend. This place really didn’t disappoint! The service is really very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere feels like an Italian American place from the golden era of Little Italy in New York (in the most positive way!). The pizzas are very sizeable, and we were very satisfied with one, plus an appetiser. The pepperoni is plentiful and full of flavour, and love the slight acidity from the vinegar powder. My fiancé isn’t big on pizza, but she really loved this. We’ll be back and have already recommended it to a few people!

Highly recommended to book in advance as the place seems to be quite popular. Our table was unfortunately exactly in front of the kitchen so 70% of our dining time we were feeling very hot 🥵 and came out smelling like pizza kitchen from all the kitchen smoke. Take note of this table when you make a reservation. Food was amazing though. The cocktail was also very nice. Staff were nice but one guy (long hair man) was nicely telling us to wrap up our dining bcs we have finished dinner but didnt continue with dessert while still sitting at the table. Fortunately we also just asked for bill. I understand they are busy and need our table but could have addressed it nicely.

Dined here on the 23/12 and Leonardo’s exceeded my expectations. Food was amazing and priced fairly. My only concern is that we were seated very close to a couple but enough to have our dinner comfortably. Overall, I would recommend Leonardo’s to anyone especially if you’re looking a for fine, quality and affordable food. The tiramisu was out of this world!

Down from Brisbane for the week so we could go see the Living End play in the Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, we had the aim of visiting as many food related places as possible. The family was keen on pizza and we were spoiled for choice, so we followed other positive reviews and landed on Leonardos...and we weren't disappointed at all. It was probably our favourite dining experience in Melbourne. The food was AMAZING, the atmosphere was great, the staff were all super friendly and attentive. The Bodriggy Cosmic Microwave was one of the better beers I've had in awhile too! I can't recommend this place strongly enough

Mammamia 🎉 Leonardo’s Pizza Palace is not just a palace for pizza, but also for their pasta and appetizers. The crunchy chicken toast tasted amazing with that classic saltiness and briny combo. A must-get IMO. Truly a delicious bite. Pizza baked to perfection with a tasty, balanced sauce, cheese, and topping combo. Almost all pizzas (as they should be) are a must-try. What surprised me was the pasta! Granted, it’s probably an in-house pasta, but they nailed it. The sauce? Emulsified to perfection, coating all the pasta well, and that Ala Vodka sauce haunts me for a quick bite. Not to mention the amazing prawn flavour in their seafood pasta. Overall, for the price, Leonardo’s punches above their weight class and is truly a paradise for a quick casual bite.

Was really looking forward to my first visit. Friend had a table of 5 booked for us at opening (5pm) for us and his parents who were over from the UK. We initially ordered the fried chicken toast, which came and was good but we ordered 4x and it came out on 2 plates. Now, if 1 x order is 1/2 a piece of toast and a slither of fried chicken, then that’s actually unbelievable. We essentially were made to share 2 pieces of toast between 4 people. Then the mains started to arriving, 3 pizzas and 1 pasta arrived. Pizzas were great no doubting the quality of the pizza. But then at 6pm I asked when I will be receiving my pasta. The waiter scurried off to the kitchen popping back saying the orders got mixed up and it will be with me in 5 minutes. Baring in mind, the rest of the party had almost finished their meals. At 6:13 my meal arrived, which again was an average/good meal, not mind blowing. But I received my meal with a side comment of “sorry, but the reservation is only for 1 hour 30 minutes, we will need you to finish up as we have people waiting for this table at 6:30pm”. And for my meal turning up late, they decided it was fair to knock the price of a drink of coke off our bill, baring in mind, that wasn’t even my drink… so basically he made the meal cheaper for another member of the party, instead of the drink i had ordered. I am disappointed in the customer service more than anything. The food was ok/good. A little more consideration in the fact my food was 25/30 minutes later than the rest, would have been good.

You have to come here with friends and family. The vibe in here is soooo cozy and warm. The food was delicious and the pizza dough is super fluffy. Pasta was amazing too. Major thing to highlight is the team. Our waiter took care of us sooo well. Wish we got his name. I asked for an old fashion drink and he got me a good one and asked for feedback which shows constant improvement of a restaurant which I deeply respect. Try the food and leave with ever lasting memories.

Yelp
In my 5 years of living in Australia, I never had pizza that wasn't sub-par. On my trip back last week to visit friends and family, Leonardo's finally changed that for me. While expensive, this place actually knows how to do pizza right. Sauce was flavorful, ingredients were fresh and high quality, and the whole vibe is just right. If I wasn't the only American at our table of 10, I would have forgotten I was in Melbourne! Seriously though, this place is great. I'd recommend getting there early to get a table as we had to wait more than an hour for a table for a large group, but it's worth it!

Yelp
Anchovy pizza and broccolini salad are really good. Also this is the only place in melbourne that serves bud light
