Leone Blu Suites (Florence, Tuscany) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Florence is rich with treasures, many of them shared with the public: Ricasoli Palace, a part of the city’s history since the 15th century, is now a boutique-style luxury hotel, doing business as Leone Blu Suites, under the UNA Esperienze banner. With a mere nine suites it’s still more palazzo than hotel, and each one is stylistically entirely distinct from the others, combining modern luxuries with antique furnishings, objects, and artworks. The riverside location, on the Piazza Carlo Goldoni, is a prominent one, convenient to both the old city center and the south bank of the Arno." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed one night here on our way through to Umbria and absolutely loved it. We were upgraded to one of the suites, which was very generous — beautifully appointed, spacious, and full of character. The location couldn’t be better: right by the Arno, just across the bridge from the heart of the old town. We walked straight into the historic centre and spent the evening exploring local restaurants, bars, and a market that had a great atmosphere.||The suite was a renovated room in a 15th-century palazzo, with a really unique feel — a mix of art deco touches, historic paintings, and classical statues. A little dated in parts, but that just added to the charm and authenticity of the place. You really feel the history of the building.||The staff were polite, attentive, and clearly take pride in the place. Breakfast was excellent — fresh, high quality, and served in the Hall of Mirrors, which is a beautiful space (see photos). There’s also an honesty bar in the dining room, with wine and spirits available any time, and the prices were very reasonable.||Would absolutely recommend if you’re after something more special and character-filled than a standard hotel.

Choosing this hotel was the BEST decision we made for our visit to Florence. The location and comfort of the rooms were perfection, and what made our experience extra special was the staff. I am talking WORLD CLASS customer service. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff of this hotel. They were kind and friendly and went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful stay. I will never stay anywhere else and will recommend this hotel to anyone I know planning to visit Florence. 10/10

What a unique hotel in Florence. A historic private residence, centuries old, the second floor renovated into 9 different hotel rooms. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Centrally located in the city on the river and easy to find. The lounge and rooms are full of beautiful art work and staff was incredible. Best place we stayed in Italy. We stayed at three different UNA hotel group locations.

This is the perfect place to stay if you aren't renting a car. Easy walking distance to everything. Some great restaurants right around the corner. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Anastasia was amazing! Extremely helpful, as were all the staff.|We only had breakfast here once and it was just okay. Everything else was great!

I did a lot of research and decided on the Leone Blu Suites, but my research didn't do this place justice! It was beyond an amazing location for our trip! Let me start by saying if you are a family of 4+, get the Rinieri room and you won't be disappointed. Pros: Rooms was amazing, staff was beyond amazing, view of the river and location was perfect. Cons: This is in a little more busy part of the town, so you will hear the occasional siren driving past. Another pro is that you are 10 minutes walking distance to the train station (even with suitcases on cobblestone, very manageable). Lastly, did I mention it is a palace! Truly amazing to be staying inside the walls of that much Florence history.

This was a palace and gives that presence even today. The rooms are huge with 25 foot ceilings. Views of the river and bridge add to the experience. Easy to walk everywhere from here. Staff interested in your comfort and experience. A very special place.

Incredible Rooms, the Gisla room and the Pandolfo rooms were a treat!! I loved the buffet breakfast, being served a wide range of different delights to endure. I’d like to point the lovely compliments included with the room. I loved the staff, Andrea was a lovely guy and Eva made the most amazing hot chocolate! Leone Blu Suites is a luxury to have if you stay in Florence, definitely recommend!
