Our stay at the Leonidas Hotel & Studios was really lovely. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression and set the tone for the rest of our visit.||We stayed in room 120, located at the back of the hotel. At first, the room felt a little small, but once we moved one of the beds around, it felt much more open and airy. There was plenty of space for two friends sharing, plus our luggage. The small kitchen area had all the basics, including the most important appliance—a kettle! Gotta have a proper coffee in the morning. We brought a couple of our own mugs, as the cups provided were a bit on the small side for that essential morning brew. There was also a small fridge that was spotless and worked perfectly.||Sleeping:|We both got a really good night's sleep, helped by the bonus of two pillows each—such a simple thing, but it made a big difference. The white bedding was clean and fresh, which was lovely to come back to each night.||Bathroom:|Very clean and totally functional. The only small niggle was the showerhead placement—I think it would have worked better on the wall to the left, as it made showering in the small space a bit awkward. That said, it didn’t affect our overall experience.||Balcony:|Our room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening chat. There was also a handy drying rack, ideal for towels after a swim.||Pool:|The pool was a real bonus—refreshing and a good size, with a smaller children’s pool nearby. There were plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas, though be careful as the sunbed handles can get quite hot! A couple of lilos were floating around too, which guests shared and enjoyed. While the pool bar wasn’t open during our stay, the reception was just a few steps away and had cold drinks and crisps available.||Breakfast:|Breakfast was a simple continental setup, but it had everything we needed. There were a couple of cereal options, toast, cold meats, hard-boiled eggs, and some salad bits. Spreads included honey, jam, and marmalade. Tea, coffee, juice, and water were also available—plenty to start the day.||Location:|The hotel is in a great spot—just a 10-minute flat walk to the main street that leads into Kos Town. From there, it’s about 20–25 minutes into town, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants along the way. The road is fairly quiet and mostly lit by nearby houses (and moonlight!), but we always felt safe walking back late at night.||Staff & Cats:|The staff were genuinely lovely—always smiling and happy to help. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Greek hotel without a few cats around, which we loved. They just added to the charm.
