A Review of Hôtel Swexan in Dallas, Texas

"A graceful 20th-floor restaurant that evokes a picnic in the treetops, offering expansive Dallas skyline views and a relaxed spot for morning cappuccinos or starry al fresco-style dinners."

We did the prepaid 3 course meal and I would never come back! We waited 30 minutes after our reservation time to get bread and our first drink. (They were not super busy so it was surprising, when there are a ton of waiters/waitresses walking around) Food was sub par. Not very good if being honest, but we were just hungry! Bread was said to be sourdough, definitely was not. Wine and rose was decent, but definitely disappointed with their options. Ricotta cheese had no texture, tasted like cream cheese. Salad was skimped and we got half a plate. For the main course, the steak was chewy and tasteless and my “prawns” dish consisted of ONLY ONE shrimp! Honestly so disappointing. One of the desserts was decent, but the other was still frozen. Honestly, we would never come back to eat here! Save your $$$ and go elsewhere.

This place is a literal dream!!! The decor and atmosphere is top tier. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. Came on a Monday night for the “Taste of Léonie” and it was not very busy, so we were able to take plenty of pictures and even check out the little shop by the pool. This is the kind of place people dream of having lunch or dinner. For Primo, I ordered the hot honey & fennel ricotta - it was creamy with that delightful hint of sweet and spicy. My friend ordered the Caesar salad and it looked so creamy and crisp; she said it was one of the best Caesar salads she’s had. For Secondo, we ordered the 8oz HWD strip - it was good - not great. I ordered medium rare, but it was closer to rare (I didn’t mind too much and it still tasted good), but my friends was definitely more Medium well cooked. The strip had grit on one side of it, so I just cut that part off, but other than that, it was a good cut of meat and flavorful. I enjoyed the sunchoke purée with it - it was reminiscent of a chimichurri. The star of the show though - the Mille-Feuille!!!! The pistachio with the tart cherries and sweet sugar coated puff pastry - literally was on a way one ride to heaven. It was a flavor explosion on my tongue and I will be back specifically just for that!

I recently dined at Leonie, and it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. Nestled on the 20th floor of a downtown Dallas hotel, the restaurant offers breathtaking views that perfectly complement its culinary delights. The CHICORY CAESAR and HWD BEEF TARTARE were simply divine, each bite bursting with flavor and freshness. But the true star of the show was the day dried striploin – an absolute masterpiece of tender, succulent perfection. The ambiance of Leonie is elegant yet inviting, creating the ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. From the impeccable service to the expertly crafted dishes, every aspect of our meal exceeded expectations. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Leonie is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking exceptional cuisine and stunning views in downtown Dallas. A five-star rating is well-deserved for this culinary gem

The hotel SWEXAN a a very swanky place to have a classy afternoon tea (and champagne). The ambience is dreamy. There is an enchanting vision as you enter and are seated. I'd describe Léonie as an unexpected enclosed lush mod garden with sparkle on top of Dallas. The views of Dallas are lovely. The staff is professional and friendly. Crystal went above and beyond in welcoming us and providing excellent customer service. The tea and food were delightfully sumptuous. We will certainly come back for tea and champagne.

I celebrated my 28th birthday at Leoni, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The rooftop view of downtown Dallas is absolutely stunning — easily one of the best in the city. The atmosphere and decor are elegant and modern, creating the perfect vibe for a special night out. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding — everything came right on time, and the staff was incredibly professional. Our waitress was especially kind and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, a 10/10 experience. I highly recommend Leoni for anyone looking to enjoy great food, beautiful views, and exceptional service in Dallas.

Yelp
Had pasta, here, this evening. Great views, since it's located on the rooftop. Dining at night is the best with the magnificent views of the city all around. The food was mediocre, in my opinion. My pasta was a bit on the salty side. The customer service was charming, but not too attentive. Lovely aesthetics and atmosphere. Located inside Hotel Swexan, on the 20th floor, I really enjoyed this experience with the beautiful city lights glowing at night. I'll come back next year!! 4 Stars!

Yelp
Pretty average food, pizza was good, and view was hard to beat. Solid for the price. Prob wouldn't go again except that it's across the street from me if that tells you anything. Againn, cool date spot, not the best food.

Yelp
We had a great time doing the Tea at Hotel Swexan. The atmosphere within Leonie was excellent and the staff were all extremely friendly. We got the Noel tea and an English breakfast tea which were both of high quality and tasted great. The food that they bring with the tea was also all very good. The scones were phenomenal and we really liked almost all of the middle tray finger foods. The desserts had great attention to detail and were also of high quality. We were blown away by this experience and would definitely come back.

Yelp
This review has nothing to do with the service, it was great. The food was terrible. The steak tastes like a boiled piece of meat - no flavor. The caesar salad's dressing is water. Also, a Tito's and soda is $20 and they tried charging $27 for a tequila soda. The best part of the meal was the bread. Save your money, go anywhere else.

Yelp
The food, service, atmosphere, and over all experience was EXCELLENT! Such a fun place for a private event or fun meal.
