"Contemporary design is now so common in hotels as to have become almost standard. But there are still some places where a bit of modernity goes a long way, places where there’s a striking contrast between the clean and contemporary interiors and the ancient character of the weathered streets outside. Rome is one of these places — and Leon’s Place is a fine example of the way one’s perspective on an ancient city can be changed by the view from a modern hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Review from a client that stayed in September 2025: All of the staff were helpful and pleasant - they helped us book taxis, find restaurants, and obtain items we needed! Loved the atmosphere of the lobby bar as well. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom/tub. The location was great - blocks away from the train station and easy to explore the city! Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant and comfortable hotel with helpful and friendly staff, particularly the receptionists and the barman. The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, and super bathroom, with a great shower. The hotel is also in a good location, not too far from the main sights and attractions but nice and quiet at night. Breakfast was good, with a fine choice of food and in a pleasant cellar restaurant. Would certainly be happy to stay there again if visiting Rome, and pleased to recommend it to others.

I had a lovely stay at Leon’s Place! The room was beautiful with high ceilings and very comfortable overall. It could get a bit noisy at times (thin walls, I think), but it wasn’t a huge issue. The real highlight of this hotel is the staff — so friendly and welcoming. They really made the stay feel special. The location was decent. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Termini station and a bit further from the main sights like Trevi Fountain, but there’s a bus stop just 2 minutes away that makes it super easy to get around. The area is quiet and feels very safe, with lots of embassies nearby.Breakfast was okay — not a lot of hot food options, but the pastries were nice. At €22, I felt it was a bit overpriced for what you get. If it was closer to €10–15, I would’ve had it more often. On the other hand, the dinner was delicious and had a great variety. The hotel also offers a free spa area (jacuzzi, sauna, steam room), which is a great extra. Sadly, I didn’t get to try it this time as it was fully booked — but I’d love to next time!Overall, I’d definitely consider staying here again.

We have just come back from what can only be described as a wonderful stay at Leon's Place in Rome. We visited Italy for the first time for my wife's birthday and the hotel left us a lovely personal note and delivered a bottle of fizz on our arrival. ||What a great little find this hotel is. About 10 - 15 min walk from the main tourist attractions, taxi's from the airport are 55Eu (fixed). ||We were greeted by Matilde who i had been conversing with over e - mail the last few weeks. Have to say exceptional e - mail response times. I wrote a few times and she'd literally responded within minutes... ||The hotel has a private wellness centre which can be booked FOC for the guests, this has a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. All available FOC which we used for an hour during our stay. ||Our room was lovely. Probably the comfiest bed i have slept in. As others have noted the rooms can be a bit noisy from neighboring rooms but this didn't bother us. Room had a mini bar, Sky TV which showed the football. ||We didn't have breakfast there but i did pop my head in and this looked great with plenty of variety and guests there. We ate at a place about 5 mins down the road "Vero" which did amazing pancakes, breakfasts and pastries on our way out each day. ||There's also an amazing Gelato shop 'Gelataria De Roma' which gets amazingly busy all the time, nearly queuing out the door, it's chaotic in there... but it's well worth it!||Overall we would go back in a heartbeat. The hotel is beautiful inside and has a lovely little courtyard and restaurant area which weren't really used but they are really nice.

We stayed at Leon's Place for 3 nights before our Mediterranean cruise out of Rome. It's a beautiful little boutique hotel within walking distance to some nice restaurants and cafes. The lobby was beautiful with a cute little bar and they have a restaurant but we did not eat at it. Service was top notch and rooms were good size, clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Rome.

I am sorry to report that our 5-night stay at Leon's Place (306) was a terrible experience. An air conditioning leak flooded the room foyer on two different nights. Plop plop all night long. When we left the room one day at 6 AM for a day of touring, we asked the front desk to take care of the leak and the flood. To our surprise, we returned to the room at 3 PM that day, after touring, and the room was not cleaned, and the flood remained. We stayed in the room until someone remedied the situation, and we noticed up in the ceiling where the leak was coming from were towels that had been stuffed in there to absorb the water. This indicated to us that this leak was not a new issue. The leak occurred again the very next night. Our room was not cleaned every day, and we ran out of shower gel, leaving the empty container open with no pump on it to suggest we needed more. The shower gel was never replenished (for several days), so we went out and bought a bar of soap. The espresso machine was broken, the towels were frayed, and the closet storage was inadequate. When we asked for a nearby restaurant recommendation, we were sent to a restaurant many blocks away that had absolutely no customers. On a positive note, the location is convenient to Termini station, the optional breakfast service in the lower level was good, and the lobby is colorful. The marketing of this hotel, and the reviews, do not represent our experience.

Lovely hotel ten minutes walk from the Termini, staff were very attentive and good, hotel has a small spa area that can be booked which i thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room was excellent only slight disappointment was breakfast whilst generally it was good for Rome i felt the hot food and fresh fruit wasn't great especially the closer to 1030 you got.

Lovely hotel. Wonderfully quirky, polite staff who are happy to help. Room was lovely and I honestly cant explain how much I loved having a beautiful bathtub to relax in after long days exploring! Breakfast is great, loads of choices. Really impressed and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
